Multiple Thai movies were released under VHS format in Sweden in beginning of decade 1980. This is thanks to Örje Bodin and Jan Liljegren.
Mr Örje Bodin opened the first VHS-store here in his hometown in Sweden in years 1979-1980. It was the third VHS-store in Sweden. It went really well and he wished to expand his business. He travelled to Asia to buy the rights of Thai movies. When he came back to Sweden the problems started. There were problems with the subtitles and he lost a lot of money to do them. Then Thai movies were not popular in Sweden so there was no one who rented those movies. Only Thai movie เลือดทมิฬ / "Revenge" (1979) went well but it was the only one. Örje and his friend Jan Liljegren had VHS business. Örje was most involved in HB Video-film brand and Jan was involved in Video World brand.
