Thai lady Petchara Chaowarat remains the most famous movie actress in Thailand.

After her first movie she considered stopping this career as it was too hot inside the studios and she was too shy to play roles in which various feelings such as love had to be shown.

In 1963, the movie แพนน้อย from Dokdin did one million baht (ล้านแล้วจ่า) with Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat.

The story choice was based on trust with directors. Nobody taught her how to act. Before with 16mm movies, real voice was not used as dubbing (พากย์) was the norm. So her weak voice and shy mouth gesture during her first movies were not a problem.

She acted in several movies at daytime and other movies at nighttime. But no more than 20 stories a month. Some directors just shot a few scenes and then looked for money to be able to shoot the remaining parts! Every day Petchara has to run between provinces and Bangkok for day and night shootings.

Petchara never rested one day a month. Mitr was resting on 15th every month but Petchara was acting with other actors on that day! From 1963 to 1972 (2506 to 2515) were her most busy days. She often played at day time the outdoor sequences and at nighttime, the indoor sequences. It was not seldom to shoot a few movies at the same time. She has few time to rest.

Very busy from 1963 to 1972, she was also surprised regarding the success of the couple Mitr-Petchara as she thought that Chaiya Suriyun was maybe a better choice as he is shorter than Mitr Chaibancha and has face similar with her but Thai people have made their choice!

When Mitr Chaibancha died, Petchara was working on another movie "พุดตาล". After Mitr Chaibancha accident, producers have to find another lead actor to play with Petchara. So she played more with other actors such as Sombat Methanee, Chaiya Suriyun, Leuchai Nareunat, Kanchit Kwanpracha and with new young actors such as Krung Srivilai, Nard Poowanai, Yodchai Meksuwan.

Her husband Charin Nantanakorn (ชรินทร์ นันทนาคร) was a country music singer, who became a famous movie director. In 1975, they decide to marry following the movie "แผ่นดินแม่".

Other successes with her husband included "ลูกเจ้าพรัยา" but Petchara eye condition went very bad. In 1975 problems with eyes became very serious. She couldn't drive properly. In 1978 she played her last movie. In 1981 Petchara stopped seeing.

Since 30 years she stays home and live a healthy and simple life. Every year she invites other Thai stars (ดารา) and friends to her birthday on 19 Jan.

In 2009 she played in an advertisement for Mistine beauty products. She accepted the job as Mistine donated money to Thai blind people charity. This was supposed to be her last job. Nowadays Thai stars do not last as long as before. There is no more real stars and certainly more competition nowadays. The public gets easily bored and always want new faces. There is no more legendary actress such as Petchara Chaowarat.

Kun Thong's mother is Mae Kaew (Petchara Chaowarat) but he has no father. Mae Kaew refuses to mention who the father is. Kun Thong's mother is very religious oriented (ทำบุญ). Other children such as Saen (Lak Apichat) scold him about the lack of father. Only young girl Phikun (Piyamas Monayakol) protects him. Years have passed. Phikun is the village headman’s daughter (พ่อกำนัน). Saen is the son of a local rich influential man. Kun Thong (Sorapong Chatree) is a poor farmer. Romance is happening between Phikhun and Kunthong. Phikhun believes in kindness (ทำดีได้ดี). Kunthong helps Phikhun during the sacred cloth ceremony around the village chedi (ผ้าห่มพระธาตุ). Saen is jealous about Kunthong. Petchara recommends her son not to have hope about a wedding with Phikhun as he is poor. One day Kunthong helps a young lady called Than being aggressed by ruffians. As Than has no place to go as being sold by her family, Mae Kaew shelters her in her home. At night, while Kunthong and Than are away, Mae Kaew is aggressed by Saen and his ruffians. She losts her sight. She only remembers her aggressor wears a big specific ring. She doesn't have any enemies except Seua Yoi who killed her husband twenty years ago following cards debts. Kunthong wishes to buy eye medicine to a local doctor but pricing argument degenerates into a fight with the doctor's son, who is killed by accident (Krai Kanchit). Kunthong has to flee. Saen wishes to arrest Kunthong. Meanwhile Kunthong is looking for Seua Yoi to kill him. Nowadays Seua Yoi has become a solitary monk in a cave to expiate his past mistakes. He is not the one who hurts his mother. Kunthong misses his mum but finally becomes a thief (กรรมของเขา) but a Robin Hood like as he is only stealing from dishonest people. One day Kunthong has to kill a son in front of his mother to protect himself. He has hard feelings thinking about his own mum. Than has leper (โรคติดต่อ). Kunthong decides stopping being a thief. He gets smacked by Phikhun as he doesn't care about his mum. The one taking full care is Than despite Mae Kaew is not her mother. An engagement is arranged between Phikhun and Saen (ขันหมาก). Phikhun's father forbids her to visit Mae Kaew anymore. Mae Kaew recovers sight thanks to the eye medicine given by Kunthong (แม่มองเห็นแล้ว). Kunthong is aware of the engagement. On the evening, Phikhun disappears with Kunthong. Farmers including Mae Kaew are then expropriated. Their houses are burnt. Than is left behind due to her decease. Than dies in Kunthong's arms but has time to relate the ring story. Through a suspense final, Kunthong and Phikhun surrender to the village headman but Kunthong gets shot by Saen. Only injured, Kunthong shots back Saen. The village headman's thugs shot deadly Kunthong and Phikhun is caught in the crossfire. They die in each other arms. Both Mae Kaew and the village headman feel the pain of losing their child. This movie is really about love for mothers. It is also a tragedy as in real life Petchara Chaowarat became blind a few months after this movie released in 1978. It was her last movie.

It is the last movie fully completed by Mitr Chaibancha before his death. The movie was shot in 1970 but only released in 1974 as the team was not in the mood to complete the movie after Mitr Chaibancha’s death. The movie features Thai superstars Mitr Chaibancha / Petchara Chaowarat and also Margareth Lin, Hong Kong actress. Lit (Mitr Chaibancha) is Lin’s boyfriend (แฟน). He is coming from a well-off family (ลูกผู้ดี) but Lin is coming from a poor family (คนจน). Lin's mother is worried as she doesn’t see any future to this relationship. Her friend Tiu also tells her this love is impossible. Lit's parents introduces Duangporn, a young lady from Hong Kong, to him. They often played together during their childhood. She is perfect (สวย, เรียบร้อย, มีความรู้). Lin is informed by Tiu, who saw Lit and Duangporn together but Lit loves Lin so he is not willing to marry Duangporn despite his parents’ pressure. Duangporn is aware of Lit's hidden love. At evening time, she makes him drink alcohol so that he has no strength to go out to see Lin (เด็กสมัยนี้ไม่อายหรอก). Lin waited whole night. Lit has to go back to Bangkok without seeing Lin in order to bring Duangporn back home. He simulates a car engine issue so that Duangporn has to go first. He then can see Lin freely. They spend the night together but Lin's mother doesn't trust Lit as she believes Lit only plays with a countryside girl (เด็กบ้านนอก). Lit is too shy to say the truth to his parents and only tells the truth to Duangporn. She is so sad so she tells the truth to Lit’s parents also. Lit's parents pressure Lin's parents to forbid any more meeting (ติดต่อ) together. Duangporn goes back to Hong Kong to finish her studies. But Lin is pregnant. Lit's mother refuses any wedding but Lit's father accepts that Lin can stay in their home. Lin needs to become a high society (ผู้ดี) lady in a short time but it is not an easy task due to the pressure put by Lit’s mother. During a party Lin meets her friend Tiu, working as waiter, so being very happy and causing Lit to lose face. Lit goes during 6 months to Hong Kong with his father to open a company. Lin's mother is very sick. She dies while Lin is giving birth. Lit's mother makes a deal with Lin's father. She gives him 20 000 bath to get the baby and to never see again them again again (ดูถูกคนจน). Lin is hit by a car and sent to hospital. Meanwhile her father spent all the money gambling. Lit comes back to Thailand late and is is not aware of anything. Only Tiu helps Lin at the hospital. Lin's father lies to Lit saying that Lin flees away with Tiu and abandoning her baby. Duangporn tries to comfort Lit who keeps indulging in alcohol to forget Lin. They finally marry. Tiu is having issues with ruffians as he needs to reimburse Lin’s hospital fees to them. Lin needs to sing to earn money to reimburse them. Many nice old songs are sung by Lin. By luck Lin meets an old friend of Lit. The truth is now known and all the evil done by the mother uncovered. Lit’s father arranges to pay back the debt but during a fight with the ruffians, Lin is injured at the head. It takes time for her to recover. Duangporn welcomes her back home. One night, Lin hears Lit and Duangporn discussing. She hears that Duangporn has decided to go back to stay with her father in order that Lin and Lit can have happiness. She leaves their home unwilling to break Duangporn happiness with Lit as she has been so kind to her. She learns that Tiu has been killed by ruffians. Seeing no future to her life she wishes to die. Finally a nun convinces her to enter Buddhist nuns' community to find happiness and inner peace. Despite Duangporn's request she confirms her final decision. Strong compassion and gratitude feelings happen in this movie.

Thai movie สายฝน was released in year 1973 and last 2h33mn. It was released under DVD format by company Happy Home Entertainment. The picture is sharp and colorful. Three songs are featured in the movie. Sathit (Sombat Methanee) is a former football player, who failed to have success. Sathit gives back his room keys to his landlord Chadaporn Wachirapranee, quits university and is going back home to Sukhothai. Sathit has to go back urgently (เรื่องยุ่งๆ). Young lady Kaewta (Suthisa Putnuch) is disappointed as she believes there is a love story behind his sudden return. Sathit meets Saipin (Petchara Chaowarat), student coming back from USA, in the train. Likay (Orasa Isarangkul) and Cheunchai (Man Teeraphol) welcome Saipin in Phitsanulok. Uncle Jing (Dokdin Kanyaman) is a teacher and Deuan (Donnapha Sophee) is his daughter. Saming (Choomporn Theppitak) and Sataya (จีรศักดิ์ ปิ่นสุวรรณ) have arguments with Sathit and Jing. Saipin is uncle Saeng's daughter (Prachuap Ruekyamdee). Saeng owns the land where Jing's school is located, and all local villagers are indebted to him. Sathit's mother is played by Somjit Sapsamruey (ลูกไม่รักดี), being almost blind. Half of his land was sold to Saeng to pay for Sathit’s studies, so she is upset that he stops studying. Kaewta is a new teacher arriving in Jing's school. She wishes to be close to Sathit. Sataya wishes to marry with Deuan. Love triangle occurs between Sathit, Kaewta and Saipin. Saming and Cheunchai manage an illegal game den (บอล) where villagers get poorer. One villager hangs herself due to debts. Sathit decides to get rid of this underground den. Deuan is pregnant with Sattaya but he refuses to recognize his paternity. Sathit calls the police to have the den closed. Upset, Saming decides to get rid of Sathit. Sathit organizes a rebellion to increase the salary of the farmers paid by Saeng. Sawin Sawangrat is part of the rebellion. Saipin helps the villagers by buying food for them (แจก) but villagers are reluctant to accept. Saipin gives secretly money to the mother to pay back her debt. The ruffians burn Sathit's fields to prevent him selling goods to help villagers. Sathit wishes to get revenge but Kaewta calms him down. Sathit loves Kaewta like a sister (น้องสาว). Sad, she wishes to go back to Bangkok, but she finally stays because of poor children needing her. Due to money conflict, Saming kills Cheunchai. Rats eat the supply so even Sawin dies due to disease. Saipin lets the farmers take the rice inside Saeng's barns. Upset, Saeng chases Sathit. Saming is also shot by Saeng. About to shoot Sathit and Jing, Saeng understands that Saming was the one being dishonest with farmers by using the den to make them poor and buying their land at low price. The movie ends up with Thai King Rama IX car convoy passing by and rain falling through a cloud having the Royalty symbol shape.

พยัคฆ์พันลาย or Tiger Fighting / MAGNUM KILLERS is a 1973 Thai movie. Pan (Sombat Methanee) has a fight in an illegal casino as his brother was cheated of 500 usd. The casino owner, MengYu, offers him a deal, i.e. accept to go to prison for 10 000 USD in order to contact one of his teammates jailed for life. Only this inmate knows where Wang Piu, nicknamed as King Cobra, is. Veteran actor Lor Tok is playing the jail keeper. The inmate is killed just after telling to Pan that King Cobra is located in Pu Geng area and after giving a letter of introduction. Pan teams up with Lor Tok. They are both threatened by ruffians also looking for King Cobra. Pan asks his friend Chumporn to look after his home and his brother while he is away looking for King Cobra. Around Pu Geng area, Pan meets the local owner (Adinan Singhiran) of a mine. He is hired as a tough man after showing up his skills to knock out four guys and even helps the mine owner's daughter who was kidnapped. Meanwhile Pan's brother is kidnapped by a team of ruffians led by a fierce young lady called KenYouSee (Wassana Chalakorn). To get his brother back, Pan needs to bring Wang Piu to the young lady. She has a revenge to take as Wang Piu caused her parents to die 10 years ago. Pan locates the King Cobra or Wang Piu thanks to the letter of introduction but the young lady KenYouSee is following just behind them. Pan finally meets a noble man looking for his lost princess daughter. Meanwhile KenYouSee captures King Cobra and tortures him as revenge. MengYu, the casino owner, KenYouSee and other thugs were all looking for King Cobra. MengYu double crosses Pan. The princess is in fact Peng, KenYouSee's sister. Everybody is looking for her jewels box as it includes a list of political insurgents. The list is for sale. Finally the princess is kidnapped by MengYu while storming KenYouSee's camp to try getting King Cobra. Through a daring operation, Pan and his friends release the princess. During the movie shooting, long trail boats run over each other and actress Petchara Chaowarat falls in the river. MengYu's team and the thugs willing to buy the list kill each other believing the other party breaks the deal. It is a full packed action movie. Unfortunately the Thai movie is cut into an international version lasting only 1h33mm instead of two hours so those cuts make the movie directing and scenario sometimes weird. It is a IFD movie and luckily it is not merged with Ninja sequences as the original Thai movie is lost in Thailand. During year 1976, this movie was famous as famous veteran actress Petchara Chaowarat falls in the water following a dangerous action scene between two long trail boats. It appears on all Thai newspapers and those newspapers are even featured on the movie poster! The other event was related to sexy actress (ดาวยั่วเซ็กซี) Wassana Chalakorn who dares playing naked in a shower scene. The IFD movie has been redubbed in Thai language in Thailand recently.

This 1972 Thai movie เลือดแม่ lasts 2h20mn. Its full version still exists among a Thai collector but it was never released through any official video format such as VHS, VCD or DVD. A 40mn sequence can be watched online. A Bangkokian man (Anucha Ratanaman) is lying to an upcountry girl (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng) about his love. Ratanaporn is then pregnant. Knowing that Anucha will not come back, she flees her home to avoid shame and ends up in a thieves’ den. A baby girl is born. Years have passed. The baby girl is Petchara Chaowarat. While being an adult, she gets rescued by Choomporn Theppitak as she was getting threatened by ruffians. As Petchara wishes to know who her father is (she only has a pendant), she flees to Bangkok with Choomporn. Being aggressed by thugs, they get help from Sombat Methanee. Malalin Bonnak (มาลาริน) is Sombat’s promised fiancee. As they have no place to go, Sombat helps them to stay at a friend's home. Malalin sees Petchara as a concurrent for Sombat's heart. Love emerges between Sombat and Petchara. Malalin and her mother makes a plan to denigrate Petchara. She is drugged while sleeping and a ruffian simulates leaving her bed while Sombat is just here. Choomporn learning this gives a lesson to Malalin. Her mother being sick, Petchara and Choomporn have to go back to their home town. Malalin's mother orders a ruffian to go also in order to kill Petchara as Sombat refuses to marry her daughter. The shootings go wrong in the village. Choomporn protects Petchara with his own body and dies. The ruffian gets injured by Petchara's stepfather, who also dies. Back to Bangkok as Malalin's mother refuses to pay anything to the ruffian, she also gets shot. Anucha, aware of the whole story, goes to the village with Sombat. Both love stories finally blossom, i.e. Sombat and Petchara, Anucha and Rattaporn. Seven songs are performed including singer Songthong.

Thai movie รักคืนเรือน was released in year 1972. Main actor is Sombat Methanee and main actress is Petchara Chaowarat. The movie is lost in Thailand but a sequence of one hour remains to be seen. The remaining sequence shows a high society party with Petchara singing a song. Petchara is then discussing with Somjit Sapsamruey, her mother. Her mother wants her to marry the son of a friend as they are poor. Veteran actors (Prachuap Ruekyamdee and Songthong), a doctor and a young man (ทม วิศวชาติ) are visiting them. Petchara and the young man appreciate each other. Veteran actress Chosri Misommon is playing a domestic helper. Sombat later on arrives. He is welcomed by Sisala Thongtara and Somjit, then also by Metta Roongrat and Petchara. Petchara is not so happy to meet Sombat. Somjit is feeling unwell and ends up at hospital. Certainly Somjit asks Petchara to really consider Sombat as engagement but Petchara loves already another man. Misunderstanding happens between Petchara and Sombat. A fire in the house happens. This is a romantic drama.

Thai movie ระเริงชล was released in year 1972 and lasts 2h07mn. It was released under VCD format by XxX company in year 2001. Director is Chalong Pukdeewichit. The movie was found overseas and the picture is sharp and colorful. Unfortunately the first part of the movie (around 20 minutes) was missing. So in order to be able to release the movie, a remaining 35mm film was digitized. As the film reel was almost 30 years old, the colors were gone and scratches could be seen. But at least the first 20 minutes were recovered and VCD was released. Eight songs are featured including the group “Impossible” (วงดิอิมพอสซิเบิ้ล), Songthong and เพลิน พรหมแดน... Petchara wears extraordinary hats in this movie. Pak (Sombat Methanee) is back from overseas. Per his parents' arrangement, he needs to marry a young lady called Rareung (Petchara Chaowarat). His father (Rujira Isarangkul) and his mother (Somjit Sapsamruey) have a debt towards Thon (Lor Tok) and his wife (Marasri Isarangkul), who helped them financially. They must have gratitude (บุญคุณ) towards this family. It is the overseas student versus the upcountry lady (เด็กบ้านนอก). Pak is not willing to marry Rareung and wishes to break the engagement (ถอดหมั้น) as he has a fiancee, called Sopha (นงลักษณ์ โรจนพรรณ), still being overseas. The young lady, Rareung, is behaving like a hippy. If no wedding, Pak's father has to pay back the debt but he doesn't have the money. Pak agrees to work for Thon one year in order to pay back his father’s debts. The engagement is maintained. They have to move back to Rayong. Pak met Pleun (เพลิน) as local architect and Sang (Songthon). Plaem (Orasa Isarangkul) is aggressed by ruffians including Pan Borapet. Pleun and Rareung help her on time. Sopha is back from USA and is willing to pay the 1M Baht debt. Pak refuses as he is not a thing that can be purchased. Rareung calls him “golden pimp” (แมงดาปิดทอง)! Pak is authorised by Thon to go to Sopha’s birthday. A fight occurs during Sopha’s birthday. Bouleu (พ.ต.ต.ประชา พูนวิวัฒน์) hires ruffians to beat Pak as he sees him as a rival. Rareung and his friends help him. Sopha's mother (ประพิศ พราวพรรณ) wishes her daughter to marry Bouleu, a rich businessman. Bouleu has a mistress already (Wassana Chalakorn). Den (ปรีดา จุลละมณฑล) has a car accident with Sopha so he tries to seduce her and comes to her house. Rareung's mother is suddenly dead. Thon has a mistress. Her brother Chu (Taksin Jampol) pushes her to become official wife. Pak refuses that Rareung's breaks her debt contract. Rareung is aggressed by three ruffians but Pak helps her on time. Bouleu hires Chu to recover some drugs fallen in the sea. A party (งานฉลอง) is organised to celebrate new bungalows opening so many families are gathering. Sopha knows she lost to Rareung. Bouleu proposes to help her by damaging the parachute. While Rareung is parasailing, Paen Pleumsachai shoots the parachutes and ruffians kidnap the ladies. They ask for 1M baht ranson to Thon. Bouleu is the mastermind behind. The ransom fails as the police intervenes. Chu is involved but he is doubled. Plaem (sister of policeman Den) and Thon’s mistress are also captured. Police is about to storm the island where Bouleu and his team is hiding. Wassana is disappointed that Bouleu still loves Sopha. She warns Pak and the police regarding mines hidden under the beach. Bouleu shoots her. Police led by Den and Pak succeed to storm the HQ and to release the ladies. They have to flee as a time bomb shall destroy the HQ. A final fight occurs between Pak and Bouleu. Wassana harpoons Bouleu. Happy romance can happen between Pak and Rareung, between Den and Sopha, between Pleun and Plaem.

Movie น้ำผึ้งพระจันทร์ is 2h21mn long. Sae (Sombat Methanee) is a Thai soldier visiting Cairo. He is having a few drinks with Tai (Charin Nantanakorn). While back to his room, there is a Thai lady (Petchara Chaowarat) hiding in his bed. Her name is Honey. She claims to be chased by some Egyptian men as she refuses to marry a rich local man. Honey is in fact princess (เจ้าหญิง) Assama. She has to flee as some influential people want to coerce her father. Many beautiful area of Cairo are shown (Gizeh pyramids, mosques, Sphinx) and also local culture (belly dance, horse dance). She needs to exit Egypt to escape those ruffians. One way to exit Egypt is for Sae to marry Honey (นาทีคนไทยใจดี) ! But he refuses. Following a new kidnapping tentative over Honey, he feels pity over her and her tears. He finally proposes the wedding himself. They finally escape from Egypt and go in Italy through romantic places such as Venezia, Roma Colosseum, Trevi fountain. Love is emerging. They finally back to Thailand. A lady called Wassinee is waiting for Sae at the airport so they get separated abruptly. Sasemg (Sahat Piempongsan) is upset with his young brother's behavior. Sae's sister wants a wedding between Sae and Wassinee. Sae is concerned as he cannot forget Honey (คนที่มีความรักแท่จริงต้องชานะเสมอ). Many years ago Tai chose to flee away with his love as his girlfriend was rejected by his family. Sae’s brother, Sasemg, highlights that soldiers have to follow up rules. Duty and love are sometimes on the opposite side. The movie also shows that Thailand has as many beautiful spots as Cairo or Roma. Honey has to do the guide promoting Thailand tourist spots. They are still upset towards each other (ความรักเป็นสิทธิ์หัวใจ). War emerges at the Thai border. Sae and Tai have to go. Tai wishes to prove he can also accomplish duties. Tai dies while washing his honor. Sae is injured but believed to be dead. Finally Honey accepts the wedding proposal of an Arab prince believing Sae is dead. Sae is back but he doesn't want to break the royal woes. The movie finally ends up happily for them as princess Assama surprises Sae at the place they made their love oath. A few songs are featured in the movie.

Thai movie หัวใจปรารถนา was released in year 1972. The movie is lost in Thailand but a nine minutes mute sequence remains to be seen. It has a very damaged picture. This movie is a romance movie. Despite being a 1972 movie and labeled as 35mm movie, it is in 16mm format. It was probably shown in Thai provinces where 16mm projectors were still popular. Main actor is Sombat Methanee and main actress is Petchara Chaowarat. It features เอก อัมรินทร์ as a new main actor, Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit, Adul Dulyarat, Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng, Orasa Isarangkul, Sukon Koewliam, Daonoi Duangjai. The left sequence shows Petchara in the arms of Ek Amarin (เอก อัมรินทร์) and talking together. They are wearing princely clothes. Wilaiwan is talking to Orasa. They are maybe playing jealous ladies roles. Wilaiwan is gorgeous in Hong Kong dress Cheongsam. Sombat Methanee, main actor, is unfortunately not seen in any of the remaining sequences. The movie featured 7 songs.

Thai movie หัวใจป่า was released in year 1972. It features 8 songs. Saeng (Petchara Chaowarat) is working in a nightclub as manager secretary (เลขา). Suda (Prim Praphaporn) is her close friend. The manager (เห็นใจ) tries to abuse her so she has to use a gun to protect herself. The driver accuses her of being a minor wife (เมียเก็บ) and to be responsible to have planned to kill the club manager. As police is looking for Saeng, Suda helps her to leave Bangkok. She goes in a remote area of northeast Thailand. While going to Krating, she meets Wissanoo (Nard Poowanai) with who she sympathizes. A music orchestra including Chosri Misommon joins them. On the way, some thieves including Sithao Petcharoen and led by Sahat Piempongsan stops their truck. Identifying Wissanoo as a doctor, Phi Ann (Sahat Piempongsan) orders him and Saeng, believed to be his wife, to follow them. The three ladies of the orchestra are also kidnapped. Phi Ann's wife (Metta Roongrat) called Yom is sick due to malaria (ไข้ป่า). Wissanoo gives her medicine. Phi Ann is not a bad thief as he stops his guys harassing the three ladies. Finally the three ladies have to choose by themselves their husbands! Police is coming so thieves have to move away. One of the rogue ruffians knowing that Saeng is not Wissanoo's wife harasses her. Wissanoo has to fight against him to protect Saeng. Yom wishes Phi Ann to stop being a thief. At nighttime, the rogue ruffian tries to steal Phi Ann's bounty. Following a deadly shooting, Phi Ann is injured in the leg. As the ruffians go to find food, Wissanoo and Saeng take profit to flee with Yom as Phi Ann is injured. Yot and the three ladies join them. While chased by Phi Ann, Yot is shot. Yom decides to go back to Phi Ann to ensure her child can get a father. Getting back Yom, Phi Ann stops chasing the doctor. Finally Wissanoo dismisses in order to join Saeng in Bangkok. This movie is a remake of มือโจร by director Wichit Khunawut in year 1961. The 1972 version lasts 2h22mn.

Celebration of the wedding day between Chan (Sahat Piempongsan), District Chief Officer (นายอำเภอ), and Konthong (Petchara Chaowarat) is ongoing but on nuptial night, the husband is drunk. Konthong is then kidnapped and transported on an elephant into the mountains. She is no idea why she has been kidnapped as her abductor refuses to disclose the truth (แล้วก็รู้เอง). The abductor is called Inton (Nard Poowanai). Aratae (Metta Roongrat) is taking care of Konthong (ผู้หญิงไทยดื้อ). Hillside villagers (คนดง, คนป่า) are very cheerful to Konthong. Inton is called father (พ่อ) as he takes care of the village. Chan is on the way to get back his wife using jeep to go through the mountains and being accompanied with a bunch of ruffians. The kidnapping is in fact Inton's revenge over Chan. Inton, Chan and Taptim were children who shared friendship during childhood. On Inton and Taptim's wedding day, Chan takes advantage that Inton is drunk to rape Taptim as he was jealous Taptim didn't marry him. Willing to kill Chan with a gun, Inton argues with Taptim and a lost bullet kills Taptim. Inton has to flee in the mountains. Inton finally doesn't rape Konthong (เห็นกับตาของจะเสียได้อย่างไร) as he has pity on her and proposes to send her back. How can Konthong go back? Who will believe she is still pure? She acknowledges she doesn't love Chan. So a romance starts between Inton and Konthong. One of the villagers, Tasuey, is chased by Inton from the village following a rape on a girl refusing to love him and her fiance’s murder. The stranded villager meets Chan and his ruffians. He decides to lead them to the village to take his revenge on Inton. The movie features alternate sequences of fun, romance and sequences of the ruffians approaching the mountain village. It is a very long movie 2h54 released by company Phanmitr, who used the latest film reels available. The image is very damaged, red and green color with many vertical lines (เส้นฝนตกมาก) but still a pleasure to watch Petchara Chaowarat. To avoid endangering the villagers, Inton decides to flee temporary before Chan and his ruffians led by Tasuey reach the village. Konthong is following up. Aratae loves secretly Inton. Villagers refuse to disclose where Inton and Konthong are hiding. Chan uses persuasion to convince Aratae to tell the truth. If Chan gets back Konthong, his wife, then Aratae can get Inton, her secret love, back. Chan gets Aratae's virginity (ความสาว) as Inton gets his wife also. The ruffians chase Inton and Konthong inside the deep forest (ป่าลึก). As Konthong catches malaria and they run out of food, Inton has no other choice but surrender to Chan. Chan thinks of shooting Inton like a dog but finally changes his mind reminding their former friendship. He even forgives him (ให้อภัย) but Konthong shall stay with him. While Inton is going to the village with the mountain villagers, Konthong lies she is already pregnant so asks Chan to release her so her child can stay with her real father. While Inton and Konthong can have happiness together, Aratae has no choice but to stay with Chan (คนที่แพ้ต้องอยู่ด้วยกัน). A dozen of songs are performed including by famous singer Songthong, singers สมัย อ่อนวงศ์ and กิ่งดาว จันทร์สวัสดิ์. A funny comic encounter happens between comic actors Songthong and Sithao Petcharoen. Movie แม่ศรีไพร by famous director Wichit Khunawut was released in year 1971. It was adapted as Thai TV serie in 2010. It is the first played by Nard Poowanai. Mitr Chaibancha should have been the main actor but his accidental death prevented this.

The DVD features a red picture as the film found was very old. The movie is directed by Dokdin Kanyaman. Jae (Dokdin Kanyaman) and Kai Na (Petchara Chaowarat) sell goods but have issues with policeman Tawan (Sombat Methanee) currently chasing ruffians. Kai Na is a former nurse. She helps an injured man called Chat (Sawin Sawangrat), who claims he was chased by ruffians. After recovery, he flees away and leaves a letter behind. Kai Na brings the letter to the recipient in Bangkok. She meets Mae Nuan (Juree Osiri) and her domestic helper Orasa Isarangkul. The husband Prachuap Ruekyamdee wishes to know where Chat is located now. Prachuap is Chat's old friend. Mae Praem has 20 000 baht debt with Chadaporn Wachirapranee. Her daughter Pan is played by Khomapat Attaya and her bodyguard is Choomporn Theppitak. Prachuap helps Mae Praem with her debt. Prachuap wishes Kai Na to marry his son per Chat's request. Prachupap's son is Tawan! Kai Na accepts as she feels indebted to Prachuap's kindness. As Tawan refuses to marry an unknown lady, he convinces his brother Teewa (จีระศักดิ์ ปิ่นสุวรรณ) to marry her. He secretly loves Kai Na. During the wedding ceremony, Tawan realises that the bride is Kai Na herself! He keeps drinking alcohol to forget his mistake. Teewa was promised to Pan already so her family brings a mess during the wedding party. Pan is already pregnant with Teewa. Teewa announces the news to Kai Na and cancels the wedding. Tawan meets finally Chat, who had been chased by weapons traffickers. Tawan has to go at the Thai border in the North of Thailand. Government official announced that Tawan has disappeared in the forest. To forget her pain, Kai Na and others decide to go helping hill tribes. They give medicine, food and also King / Queen images to them. Teewa is hiding in the mountains as a hill tribe villager as he is chasing some weapons traffickers. Two small parts of the movie are in damaged state and are in fact former songs filmed in 35mm format. In 1960s, movies were shot in 16mm format and had to be dubbed. Songs were shot in 35mm format to have image and sound together. The original movie included 7 songs but only 2 are left. The traffickers storm the hospital where Kai Na is working. The movie ends up happily as Tawan defeats the ruffians. Choomporn is shot. While being in the mountain, Tawan got another wife (a sexy actress - ดาวยั่ว - as usual in Dokdin’s movies). Khun Charoon was a formal village resident and gave 100 rai to the local community. He passed away recently, so his daughter, Mae Priaw, will soon visit the village. Ai Tui is Sombat Methanee, son of sub district headman Chin. Misunderstanding happens as the villagers expect Mae Priaw to be an old lady. She is a young lady played by Petchara Chaowarat. Phong Lada Pimolpan accompanies Mae Priaw. Mae Priaw writes a song for Tui as his popular song has no lyrics except his name mentioned in loop. Ruffians storm the village trying to kidnap Mae Priaw, but Tui and villagers push them back. Bon (Orasa Isarangkul) and Bua (Khomapat Attaya) love Tui, who is very popular in the village. Finally, Khun Priaw has to go back to Bangkok. Tui promises to help if she needs anything. Khun Pliaw (Man Teeraphol) is heritage asset manager, but he is bringing trouble to Khun Priaw. Priaw is introduced to a man coming back from overseas through a singer friend (จิมมี่ หลินชง) called Wara. His face is similar to Tui despite wearing big sunglasses. He helps Khun Priaw to avoid a car accident. As Khun Priaw is not interested in Khun Pliaw, it is suspected that Khun Pliaw is behind the kidnapping or murder tentative faced by Khun Priaw. Lady Pring is back with her right-hand Tuan (Choomporn Theppitak) and her daughter Prae (Malalin Bonnak). Pring (Chadaporn Wachirapranee), just released from prison, is Khun Charoon’s sister and would like Pliaw to get rid of Priaw so that she can enjoy the heritage also. The ladies Priaw, Bua and Phong Lada agree to ask Tui to help them. In other to avoid raising Pliaw's suspicion, Tui shall pretend answering to a gardener job. While applying to the job, Tui had arguments with Tuan and Pliaw. Pring plans to get back the heritage and asks Tuan to find somebody able to forge fake signatures. Meanwhile Prae simulates friendship with Priaw. On the beach, Tui declares his love indirectly to Mae Priaw. Prae claims that Khun Priaw is waiting for Tui on a remote island. This is a trick to be alone with Tui. She drugs him to seduce him. Pliaw brings Priaw to see the scene, so that she loses faith in Tui. It is also uncovered that Tui gets a university diploma. Priaw believes Tui is a liar. Tuan puts pressure on lawyer Udom (Sawin Sawangrat). Later on, Pring requests a meeting with Khun Priaw and Udom. Udom has found a new letter from Khun Charoon. It is a new will favoring Pring and canceling the previous one favoring Priaw. Khun Priaw leaves the house. Tuan and his ruffians take the land back given by Mae Priaw to villagers. Villagers are in a bad situation. Tui convinces Khun Priaw to fight back and go to court. Tui brings Udom to testify it is a forged letter. Pring ends up in jail again, but Tuan succeeds to flee. He plans to kidnap Khun Priaw in order to get money to release Pring. Tuan and his men storm the village. Tui, his father and Wara fight with the ruffians, but Tuan succeeds in kidnap Khun Priaw. Tui chases Tuan by speed boat and succeeds in neutralizing Tuan. Priaw and Tui are reunited again.

ลำดวน is a Thai movie released in year 1971 with Sombat Methanee and Petchara Chaowarat. The whole movie is 2h30mn long and features 7 songs. A 41mn sequence is still available online. This movie was lost in Thailand but a final copy was finally discovered in year 2013 in the house of a former outdoor projectionist. The below summary is based on the 41mn sequence. It is in 16mm format so there is no sound as such format requires live dubbing. Songthong is a temple boy. He is going to Bangkok to find a work and to sell newspapers on the street. Pipop Pupinyo is playing the father (he hasn’t yet a shaved head, which will be his recognizable trademark in following movies). The mother is played by Namgneun Boonnak. First one hour is about the parents life. Namgneun Boonnak is sick and Sukon Koewliam takes care of her. Twenty years have passed. Lamduan (Petchara Chaowarat) and Thongdee (Sombat Methanee) meet in a garden. Thongdee is a temple boy also. Thongdee is singing to declare his love to Lamduan. Lamduan is seeing ghosts, i.e. her mother (วิญญาณแม่) and then herself. Thongdee is punching Choomporn Theppitak as he is harassing young ladies. Finally Lamduan is sent to a Buddhist temple to expel ghosts. After discussion with the abbot, she leaves the area and goes with Thongdee in order to start a new life.

Thai movie มดตะนอย was released in year 1971 and lasts 1h54mn. The movie was released under VCD format by company TripleX. The picture is quite damaged but still a bit colorful. This is the last found copy of the movie. Movie director is วิจารณ์ ภักดีวิจิตร. Motanoi is the recipient of the Apinat family's grandfather's heritage. Maen (Rujira Isarangkul), a lawyer, arrives to check the proof. Motanoi's father is Nikon Apinat. Whenever she marries, then the heritage becomes hers. She meets doctor Cheewan (Sombat Methanee), being her neighbour as she wishes to see his car. The mother wishes her daughter Kate to marry doctor Cheewan. The doctor complains to the mother about Motanoi. Motanoi has a strong character (เด็กกะโปโล) and is unruly (เกเร). It is Kate's birthday (บ้านผู้ดี). The son befriends Motanoi. Motanoi invites herself to Kate's birthday and performs a song at the party. The mother accuses Motanoi to ruin Kate's birthday party. Motanoi is back to her village and meets her old friends Songthong, Saeng Dao (ดรุณี ชื่นสกุล) and Sandon. His friends check if she has changed or not. Villager Sandon still loves Motanoi and refuses to let her belong to somebody else. Sandon performs a heart broken song. Fed up with her friends trying to catch her, she leaves the village with Chakeen. Cheewan meets Sandon as he hits him with his car. Sandon and Saeng Dao finally stay with the doctor. Motanoi leaves for overseas to study. Five years have passed. Young lady Nantaporn is back in Thailand. Maen's car is damaged so doctor Cheewan goes to pick her up but he is not aware that Nantaporn and Motanoi are the same person. The family’s fortune is lost as the mother Nai is gambling. As Motanoi has a good heart, she allows them to stay in her house, but they still behave as high-so. Aware of the truth, Cheewan doesn't know how to apologize to Motanoi. Kate gives a love philter to Sandon, but it is acidic. Her plan fails as she is the one , who receives the acid in the face and not Motanoi. Saeng Dao tries to kill Motanoi as she is upset that Chee Wan is always sad because of Motanoi and keeps drinking. The mother has a lover, ruffian Nit. They plan to kill Motanoi to ensure heritage stays with them. Finally, the mother asks for money from the lawyer Maen. Nit and his men try to kidnap Motanoi. Fighting occurs and Cheewan is injured. Police arrive on time as the lawyer Maen alerts them. Motanoi takes care of Cheewan during his recovery. Love emerges while Kate, her mother and ruffians end up in jail. A remake, featuring Toon Hiransap and Apiradee Pawaputanon, was released in 1985.

The movie is lost in Thailand but a five seconds sequence remains to be seen. Actors featured are Lor Tok, Prachuap Ruekyamdee, Krai Kanchit, Somkuan Krajangsat, Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit and many country folk singers ศรีไพร, บุปผา, ศรคีรี, บรรจบ, ไพรวัลย์, พรไพร, รุ่งระวี, วิภารัตน์. Rangsee Thatsanaphayak (รังสี ทัศนพยัคฆ์) was the director and producer. Rangsi wanted to do a new movie similar to Mon Rak Luuk Thung and with same actors. As Mitr Chaibancha died earlier so he hired one relative of Mitr! 20 songs are featured! The movie was not successful as people compared with the version with Mitr Chaibancha.

He sings romantic song for her. Prai and his friends get beaten by ruffians (including Pan Borapet) because they talked to the daughters of ruffians’ leader Pongdin. Pongdin has a wedding plan for his daughter even she doesn't know or love her future husband. Kwan Dao doesn't want to marry a ruffian (นักเลง). Prai with Rung Phet’s help are looking for Cherm and Chiaw. While paying respect to an old pagoda, Prai and his friends visit a small wooden house. They are attacked by Borapet and his ruffians. Ruffians are pushed back. They discover that the man meditating in the house is uncle Cherm! Cherm brings them to meet former village leader Chiaw’s (Rujira Isarangkul), who is Prai’s grandfather! He is now subdistrict headman (กำนัน). Prai is still looking for his father. He doesn't know if his father is still alive or not. Thai boxing matches are organised in the village for the annual festival. It starts with a dwarf match. Next match features Adinan versus Prai. Kwan Dao needs to give the winning reward. Prai defeats Pongdin’s champion. It ends up by a lady match. Pongdin accepts them as 'children'. Romance songs occur between Prai and Kwan Dao, male singer (รุ่งเพชร แหลมสิงห์) and female singer (กิ่งดาว จันทร์สวัสดิ์). Face to face occurs between Pongdin, uncle Cherm and Prai. Prai is still looking who killed his father. Both of them are beaten and captured by Pongdin's ruffians. Friends ask for subdistrict headman Chiaw's help. Kwan Dao tries to release Prai and succeeds. Prai knows Pongdon killed his father so he needs to take revenge. Prai captures Pongdin and wishes to torture him on a pyre like he tortured his father (รับกรรม). Molee and Cherm tries to convince him not to kill Pongdin. No more sins shall happen. Seeing his mother collapsing makes Prai realises that he was wrong. Pongdin changes and recognizes his mistakes. Thung Sethi (ทุ่งเศรษฐี) area will have happiness.

As it is a musical movie, so when projecting the movie, the dubber had to use a record to play the songs. One song, i.e. a molam song, is available online. Before the title sequence, a song is featured as the movie opening with ไวพจน์ เพชรสุพรรณ as musician playing reed-mouth organs (แคน). It introduces a new main actor called ธงชัย มิตรประชา. Nakrop (Sombat Methanee), Samong Thong (Kanchit Kwanpracha), Ket (ถนอม นวลอนันต์), Santi (ธงชัย มิตร ประชา), Kong Jak (ฤทธี นฤบาล) are all civil servants and have to go to Pa Chang district. On the way to Pa Chang, Nakrop sees an ordination parade where beautiful teacher Palap Pleung (Petchara Chaowarat) is dancing. Nakrop falls in love with her. Meanwhile Ong At (Anucha Ratanaman), a rich and influential ruffian in Doi Mae Rang, also notices teacher Palap Pleung. Loving the teacher for a long time, he tries to kidnap her during the ordination parade. Hopefully Nakrop intervenes and stops Ong At. Nakrop promises to visit teacher Palap Pleung soon again. Nakrop goes to Lam Duan hill and have lunch in a restaurant owned by เสน่ห์ โกมารชุน. At the same time, ruffians leader Kam Maen (เสถียร ธรรมเจริญ) is having lunch with his daughter Malika (เนตรดาว) and Ong At. Malika has arguments with Neua Hom (Daonoi Duangjai), who gets beaten by Kam Maen. Nakrop intervenes but Sarapee (Sopha Sataporn), daughter of the restaurant owner, uses a rifle to stop any fighting. Unhappy, Kam Maen and Ong At have to leave. Kong Jak and Samong Thong also travel to Lam Duan hill. Having car issues, they get help from lady Dok Kaew (Metta Roongrat). Kong Jak falls in love with Dok Kaew. Meanwhile Sarapee is captured by Kam Maen’s men as revenge. Dok Kaew, aware of the kidnapping, suspects Kam Maen’s men. Samong Thong and Kong Jak help to release Sarapee. Sarapee doesn’t dare to stay in her father’s restaurant anymore and takes refuge in teacher Palap Pleung’s home. Santi is the last one to travel. He visits Orasa (ธิดา) and disguises himself as a singer. That night, Ong At has a meeting with Chaiyan (เมืองเริง ปัทมินทร์) regarding contraband weapons. Ong At wants Orasa to sit at his table but she refuses. As he forces her, Santi intervenes. Both Santi and Orasa flee and meet their friends at Pa Chang. In Pak Chang, all couples can enjoy romance, but Santi and Samong Thong are kidnapped by ruffians. Nakrop helps to release them but Kam Maen’s men kidnap the three ladies. Nakrop kidnaps Malika in order to be able to bargain with Kam Maen. Following fighting, the three ladies are able to flee. Knowing that a weapon deal will happen soon, Nakrop asks Thai police’s help. Ong AT dies following a gun duel with Nakrop. Romances can blossom.

Thai movie ยอดต่อยอด was released in year 1971. This movie was released after Mitr Chaibancha’s death. It is a lost movie and only a long trailer, i.e 10mn30s, is left to see. It is in fact a trailer made of remaining parts of the movie 16mm reels. It shows some highlights of the movie. It is one of the last movie released with Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat. The last one was กังหันสวาท in 1974. It features other famous Thai actors / Thai actresses as second roles such as Choomporn Theppitak, Sawin Sawangrat, Kaenjai Meenakanit, Sukon Koewliam, Krai Kanchit. It is difficult to understand the movie as the remaining trailer is a patch of sequences. A masked justiciary is a woman. It looks like Mitr Chaibancha is a cop. ยมบาลเจ้าขา (1971) is a Thai movie, which was never released in any format (VHS, VCD, DVD). An extract of 54mn can still be seen despite the whole remaining footage is around 1h40mn. It is a 16mm movie so no original sound is available as such movies were dubbed. There is no more poster available. ยมบาลเจ้าขา is a horror movie with a comic twist. Most former Thai horror movies have more comedy than real horror (หนังผีตลก). While her husband is away, Petchara Chaowarat is aggressed and raped by Sawin Sawangrat so she gets suicide. Daonoi (ดาวน้อย ดวงใหญ่), Sithao, Lor Tok are playing comic characters. They are aware Petchara is dead. Two other veteran actresses are involved in this movie, i.e. Malalin Bonnak (มาลาริน บุนนาค) and Charuwan Sawirayong (จารุวรรณ สวีรวงศ์), spouse of Mitr Chaibancha. It was her first movie. Charuwan Sawirayong was married to Mitr Chaibancha from 1959 to 1963. The movie scenario is a bit similar to Mae Nak story. All know Petchara has died except her own husband Kwanchai Suriya. Kwanchai Suriya (ขวัญชัย สุริยา) is a new actor and part of the numerous tentatives to find a proper candidate to replace superstar Mitr Chaibancha, who unfortunately died in year 1970. Kwanchai Suriya was quite shy when acting so he only played 2 movies as main actor and then only secondary roles. When Kwanchai realizes his wife is now a ghost (รู้เป็นผี) so he flees from his home but Petchara is still looking for him. Sawin is back from Bangkok with a man and they do visit a cemetery with a spirit doctor (หมอผี). It is a fiasco. Meanwhile Kwanchai and his friends also hire a spirit doctor. As Petchara ghost refuses to be born again, it is imprisoned in an earth clay pot. Many spirit doctors (หมอผีแขก, หมอผีจีน, หมอผีไทย) intervene but fail to control the ghost. Following all the deaths, Kwanchai agrees to go with Petchara ghost to stop the killings. He gets estranged and both go to hell judgment. The hell king refuses to accept Kwanchai as it is not his time to die yet. Before leaving, the Hell King shows him around. It features two songs in the Hell Kingdom. Through a touching song, Petchara tries to convince the Hell guardian but to no avail. Finally Kwanchai is sent back to earth but all his friends believe he is a ghost too! The movie ends with Kwanchai convincing them that he is still alive. The movie features a total of three songs.

Thai movie 'Luk Yot' (ลูกยอด) was released in year 1971 and features Thai film superstars Krung Srivilai and Petchara Chaowara. It was Krung Srivilai's first movie. Krung was 4 years younger than Petchara so from being the younger sister (น้อง) with Mitr, Petchara becomes the older sister (พี่)! After Mitr Chaibancha’s tragic death in year 1970, the Thai cinema needed new faces, new main actors to replace the void caused by Mitr’s premature death. Only a two minutes trailer is remaining as the movie is lost in Thailand. A full movie summary is still available as some old Thai movie stars magazines can still be found nowadays. Various sequences can be seen during those two late minutes : Sithao Petcharoen paddling a small boat on a river and watching young ladies, shootings. Wan is back and is now a soldier. Wan meets Tawisak, a Thai working for Japanese soldiers and delivering water to them. He is seen as a traitor by Wan and Yot. Wan has issues with a Japanese soldier as he is arrogant so he needs to flee. Wan meets teacher Raiwan (Petchara Chaowarat), who is teaching adults in order for them to know how to read. They all agree to do resist to Japanese occupants. How to help those captured by the Japanese soldiers? Wan joins a group of workers building the railway to Burma. He has issues with the Thai guards, led by Sing, working for the Japanese soldiers (คนไทยทรยศ). He is imprisoned with his father. Meanwhile his friends are acting to free them while Japanese soldiers and Thai traitors are having food and alcohol. Tawisak is playing double game. They flee successfully. Wan decides to become Seua Bai (โจร), a ruffian, in order to fight again the Japanese invaders and the Thai traitors. They steal weapons from Japanese army and start resistance. Nong and her brother miss their father so quit the group. They are captured by another group of ruffians. Wan defeats their leader in one to one fight. Wan misses the teacher Raiwan. He is upset as living as a ruffian he cannot have a real love story with the teacher Raiwan but he does it for the country (เสรีไทย). They plan to disrupt the railway to Burma. Teacher Raiwan and Tawisak participate but are uncovered by a Japanese group led by Sing. Through an ambush, Tawisak is freed but Wan's father dies while protecting his son. Wan's team attacks the Japanese camp and releases Raiwan. As promised to his father, Wan stops to be a robber and surrenders to police (มอบตัว). Teacher Raiwan will be his guarantee. It is a typical action movie from 1960s-1970s with some nationalist and patriotic savor. It is a 2h15mn movie and the image quality is quite red tinted color and damaged. This movie is based on the life of Mr. Bai Sa-ad-dee (นายใบ สะอาดดี), who was one of the most famous Thai robbers in 1940s. His name was Seua Bai (เสือใบ). Other movie remakes on Seua Bai were done in 1984 and in 1998.

Kamnan Noon (Kanchit Kwanpracha) and Krok (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) (พี่ชายต่างประเทศ) are visiting a rich people house. They are welcomed by Lomjai (Petchara Chaowarat) and Iten (Orasa Isarangkul) as domestic helper. Krok comes back after 20 years in his family. He is a lost uncle's son. The uncle has disappeared 20 years ago. Despite having a letter to prove his identity, Krok is not accepted in Thao Thong lineage (ตระกูล) by the father Lom (Somkuan Krajangsat) as Krok doesn't have big feet seen as a family sign. Other family members are Srisala Thongtara (ศรีสละ ทองธารา), Juree Osiri, Prim Praphaporn. Lomjai flees and brings Krok and Noon to meet another family member who is policeman in Chumphon province. Noon and Krok get arrested and accused of kidnapping Lomjai. Noon’s father gives guarantee to have them released from jail. Lomjai proposes to marry Noon to avoid him being sued by his father Lom. Neng, Sister of Noon, is played by Metta Roongrat. Noon helps Lomjai’s father aggressed by ruffians. A parallel romance is starting between Neng and Lomjai's brother. Lom asks for proper traditions but once Lomjai is back to Bangkok, the wedding is cancelled. Lomjai cannot exit from home. Iten tries to help her to flee but to no avail. Krok becomes India airlines manager (ผู้จัดการ) thanks to his uncle to show to Lom his worthiness. Lom rejected Krok as he didn’t want to share heritage with additional family members. Utit (Adul Dulyarat), Lom’s brother, is back after recovering his memory. Lom tried to get rid of him twenty years ago. Lom’s father (Lor Tok) asks him to surrender to police. Cornered, Lom kidnaps his own father and Lomjai. He finally gets arrested by the police. The movie ends up happily. This romantic drama comedy is based on family rivalry regarding heritage.The movie เขยตีนโต was released in year 1971 but it only lasts 1h23mn as some parts of the movie are missing so the story sometimes suddenly jumps from one sequence to another. The image is of bad quality and is not sharp but the movie has historical value as one of the first movies with Kanchit Kwanpracha replacing Mitr Chaibancha as main actor following Mitr premature tragic death. The poster mentions 7 songs (unfortunately cut and not available on the VCD) and 22 stars present in this movie.

Thai movie ม้ามืด was released in year 1970. The movie lasts 2h35mn. It is former 16mm format film featuring three songs in 35mm format. Robbers (โจร) are chasing a caravan driven by Kaew (Sawin Sawangrat). Kaew lets a lady called Raya (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) to go down first with two young children. Sawin and Raya's husband die later as the caravan falls in a ravine causing a forest fire. During the fire, one of the children disappears (หลานสาว). Sai (Juree Osiri), the husband's mother, accuses Raya to be responsible of those deaths. Prachuap Ruekyamdee, one of the villagers, finally takes care of Raya and her remaining son. Years have passed. The son Chaichan is now an adult and played by Sombat Methanee. He is back from overseas and is supposed to marry but the fiancee Taem Duang changes her mind. He needs to find a solution to avoid his parents losing face (ขายหน้า) in front of the villagers. He helps Meut, a young girl, agressed by ruffians. As a reward for his help, he asks to marry her temporary. The district officer performing the wedding is played by Lor Tok. Keng (Orasa Isarangkul) is Meut (Petchara Chaowarat)'s friend. After the wedding, Meut flees with Keng. In a village, they meet a crazy man who looks like Kaew. They meet also Dokdin Kanyaman. In fact, Meut and Keng have come here to look for petrol. Meanwhile Taem Duang (Khomapat Attaya) and her mother Rasee (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) are gossiping (นินทา) on Chaichan as they believe he was a fake rich guy from countryside. Meut was in fact adopted by Rasee's old husband. Meut wishes to buy a plot of land belonging to Prachuap as it contains petrol. Once Prachuap knows Meut has married his son through a fake wedding, he refuses to sell the land anymore (เขตป่าไม้). Choomporn Theppitak is used by Rasee to perform dirty jobs. Knowing that Meut failed to buy the land, Rasee wants to use her daughter's charms towards Chaichan. Meut recalls from an old grandma that she was brought by her to a rich family when she was young. Chaichan try to stop ruffians led by Choomporn burning the forest (ไฟไม้ป่า). Kaew helps him but gets beaten on the head. His memory is back. Prachuap revels that Kaew is real father of Chaichan, his former associate. Father and son are back together. Bua, a local villager, is pushed by Choomporn and Rasee as granddaughter in order to get heritage but it fails. Finally Rasee, who ordered kidnapping of Meut, shows her real face and tries to force her older husband to transfer heritage to her. Meut and Chaichan stop her on time. It is revealed that Meut is Raya's lost daughter. Meut and Chaichan can now find happiness.

บ้านสาวโสด is a Thai movie released in year 1970. It features Kanchit Kwanpracha as main actor and Petchara Chaowarat as main actress. The movie was started with Mitr Chaibancha but it was incomplete due to his premature death. So the main actor was replaced by Kanchit. Another version with Toon Hiransap and Piyamas Monayakol was released in year 1984. In 1970 Mitr Chaibancha worked in many movies in parallel. So some movies still kept one or two sequences of Mitr at the beginning of the reel as additional advertisement for the movie. Around 1 hour 30 minutes is left to be seen. Three single ladies (Metta Roongrat, Prim Praphaporn, Juree Osiri) are living together. Petchara arrives in their home. She is doing chores. Their neighbour is Kanchit Kwanpracha. Other actors are Somkuan Krajangsat, Prachuap Ruekyamdee, Orasa Isarangkul, Adul Dulyarat, Sukon Koewliam, Lor Tok, Jomchai Jarintorn. Kanchit likes Petchara very much. Funny sequences happen on beach seaside between Sukon Koewliam and Prim Praphaporn. Misunderstanding keeps happening between Kanchit and Petchara as other ladies try to seduce Kanchit. It seems that Petchara will marry Prachuap as she is disappointed by Kanchit. Finally kidnappers enter in Petchara's home but they are chased away by Kanchit and captured by Adul Dulyarat and Orasa Isarangkul. Outside the home kidnappers are there again and threaten to shoot Kanchit. Petchara stand between Kanchit and the ruffians to prevent any shootings showing her real love towards Kanchit. In fact kidnappers are this time Adul and Osara playing this trick to force their reconciliation. Six songs are featured. There are still old still pictures showing Mitr playing movie บ้านสาวโสด and the movie poster is also showing his name.

Thai movie กำแพงเงินตรา was released in year 1970. The movie lasts 1h40mn. Prachuap Ruekyamdee is bringing Yong (Mitr Chaibancha) on a boat. Yong meets Nam Pheung (Petchara Chaowarat) and Sarai (มิสฮันหวา), daughters of subdistrict headman (กำนัน) Lor Tok. Yong is interested in Sarai but Nam Pheung doesn't trust him. Sompong Phonmitr, subdistrict headman's domestic helper, also dislikes Yong. Nam Pat, subdistrict headman's wife, is aggressed while meeting her lover Phi Bun, who is killed. Subdistrict headman Lor Tok is aware his wife was having a lover but forgives her. A new chief district officer (นายอำเภอคนใหม่) called Tamanoon (Adul Dulyarat) visits subdistrict headman's house. He is widowed with three kids. Yong and Sarai love each other but Nam Pheung (เด็กบ้า) tries to break their relationship and wishes to push Sarai toward the new chief district officer by using Prachuap to write false letters. Aunt Chan (Somjit Sapsamruey) has debts towards the subdistrict headman so Yong, being her nephew, repays the debt by working in their house. Yong is a music teacher. Yong helps Tamanoon aggressed by ruffians. Tamanoon asks for Sarai's hand so Yong decides to flee with Sarai. Mae Pat wishes to join them to be Sarai's domestic helper. Nam Pheung hears them and informs Tamanoon. During a celebration organised by the subdistrict headman, they wish to flee but Nam Pheung brings mess again and foils their plan. So finally Yong ends up kidnapping Nam Pheung. Upset, Yong forces Nam Pheung. But then Yong regrets his act and takes good care of her as she is sick. Choomporn Theppitak is his close friend. At nighttime Nam Pheung tries to flee and is aggressed by ruffians. Yong helps on time but is seriously beaten. Nam Pheung understands he is a nice guy. Yong accepts to bring back Nam Pheung to his father and to face whatever her father, a subdistrict headman, will do to him. Probably shoot him dead! Tamanoon wishes to help and prepares a plan in secret. While the father is unable to decide who to punish, his daughter or Yong, Adinan Singhiran attacks the father per Tamanoon’s plan. Yong, unware of the plan, protects the subdistrict headman and gets slightly injured. The subdistrict headman seeing that Yong is brave and good man forgives to him and allows the wedding. Yong and Nam Pheung can marry happily. The DVD picture is really beautiful. Toh Phanmitr (คุณโต๊ะพันธมิตร) has done a great job by restoring this movie and releasing it.

After removing the damaged sequences, only 1h05mn remains to be seen. Another sequence of three songs in 35mm format lasts 9 minutes. The movie was dubbed and shown in Thai Film Archives in the shorter version of 1h05mn. The movie features 4 songs but only 3 songs are left. The poster selling point is that up to 40 different actors and actresses are present in this movie. Some of the actors are Metta Roongrat, Daonoi Duangjai, Mitr Chaibancha, Prim Praphaporn, Petchara Chaowarat, Kokheng, Op Boonthit, Somkuan Krajangsat, Sukon Koewliam, Lor Tok, Khomapat Attaya, Sasithorn Phetrung, Choomporn Theppitak, Malee Wetpraseri. Lit (Mitr Chaibancha) helps Somkuan Krajangsat and Lor Tok aggressed by ruffians. Somkuan is looking for the house of Op Boonthit so Lit helps him to find it. Wan (Metta Roongrat) is Op’s granddaughter. Three friends (Lit and two comic actors) are living together. แม่ค่า Ling (Sasithorn Phetrung) tries to seduce Lit by being friendly with his friends and giving them free food. Ling’s mother (Malee Wetpraseri) doesn’t want her daughter to meet those poor 3 guys. Sophee, Lit’s girlfriend, leaves him as he is poor. Pim (Prim Praphaporn) and Taeng (Petchara Chaowarat) take refuge in their home as rain is falling hard. Pim and Taeng are looking for lost relatives so Lit promises to help them. Policeman Sukon Koewliam and Kokheng are visiting Lit as he needs to pay back some debts. Sukhon threatens to send him to jail. Taeng helps Lit by offering her pearl necklace in order to soothe the usurer. Op Boonthit and Somkuan Krajangsat (พ่ออ้วน) complain Wan likes to go out often. Wan and Noi (Daonoi Duangjai) meet Lit and his two friends to discuss business. Lit visits Op and Somkuan's house. Lit borrows some money as he is opening a business. Wan gives money to Lit and his friends for them to be quiet. Two songs are then featured in the nightclub area. Lit is forbidding his former girlfriend Sophee to dance with Choomporn Theppitak in a nightclub. Chom (Khomapat Attaya) is also present. Lit finally punches Choomporn. Another love song is sung by Khomapat Attaya. Ling declares her love to Lit but Lit only considers her as a younger sister (น้องสาว). Op asks Lit to find his lost daughter. Lit needs to get back the pearl necklace also as Op mentions his lost daughter had such necklace. So he needs to verify if Taeng is the lost daughter or not. Chom is helping by giving money to Lit. Lit buys the necklace back from the Chinese usurier Kokheng. Finally Taeng is reunited with her family thanks to Lit. Later on, Taeng visits Lit in his house. Taeng is then singing with Lit in his house. Thanks to a sign on his chest, Lit is also identified as the lost son of Somkuan. The movie can end up happily. A movie with same name was released in year 1984 but the story is different.

Ratom is a young Thai lady living in Hong Kong. Buakam, Ratom's friend, sings songs in a bar frequented by US sailors. Ratom has to replace Buakam as she is leaving to Laos. Ratom is waiting for her father at the Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong. He has disappeared for 10 years. He (เจ้าพ่อ) comes back with a young new wife (แม่ใหม่). His father visits her in Hong Kong and they go to visit seaside. Robbers including a young man called Lak (Sombat Methanee) steal their belongings. Ratom sympathizes with Lak as both of them have a sad life. Lak can sing well and protects her against the other bad ruffians. Her mother kills herself due her treacherous husband so Ratom has to sing again in bars. This movie shows old Hong Kong with Kwun Tung police station, rickshaws, old double decker buses, chinese dresses cheongsam, Aberdeen. Her father is not happy that she stays with Lak so he brings her to Laos. Lak decides to follow her. This movie features numerous songs including molam and foreign songs. The movie mixes romance and action. Lak has to rescue her from a camp located in the jungle. The father and soldiers chase them. There is some inconsistency as from Laos, they can reach rapidly the sea! The father succeeds to catch Lak but the soldiers decide to kill both Lak and the father. Finally they can all escape and love between Ratom and Lak can finally become true.

This folk-music movie is one of the most famous Thai movie. It run during six months in Bangkok and generated more than 7 millions baht revenue. It features 14 folk or "LUUK THUNG" (ลูกทุ่ง) songs. It is about a love story between a poor farmer and a young woman coming from a richer family. Movie fans from Nakhon Pathom, Ayuthaya and Singburi have been hiring at least two buses a day to take them and from the theatre in Bangkok. It was a winning combination of the most Thai popular film stars and folk songs of the time. "Mon Rak Luuk Thung" (มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง) has been adapted in many other movies versions (1982, 2004) and TV series (ละครรีเมค) (1995 CH7 with Saranyu Wongkrachang, 2005 CH7, 2010 CH3 with Jintara Sookkapat as the mother and Santisuk Promsiri as the local mafia head). This movie is part of the first 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2011, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day.

The 16mm film reel was damaged by water or humidity / heat faced over the years. The sound can barely be heard. It lasts 15 minutes. During the remaining sequence, ruffians are talking. They prepare to rob a house. They discuss with the owner. A kid is following them. The owner's three daughters bring food. The ruffians kidnap them. A handcuffed simple-minded tries to stop the ruffians but gets beaten also. Pawana arrives and is informed about the kidnapping. Being upset, she decides to act herself. Choomporn is part of ruffians' team. Sombat is storming the ruffians' house. He is fighting with fist and then with gun. The last scene shows Petchara, Pawana and two Sombat!! The original movie included 14 songs in 35mm format.

The masked vigilante crimefighter, called Red Eagle is back with Mitr Chaibancha playing the leading role. In this movie several influential people are mysteriously killed when they receive a red ceramic Buddha statue. They died of sudden fear. Somebody is also using Red Eagle identity to commit murders so the hero changes his mask to gold and becomes Golden Eagle. The mysterious organisation wishes to take over Thai government. Golden Eagle is investigating against this mysterious organisation in parallel of the Thai police. Trained in psychic powers by Rasputin, the head of the mysterious organisation kills by beaming his thoughts and visage through red ceramic Buddha statues. He can split himself into three images and can hypnotize remotely. He even put his heart out of his body into a vessel for protection. It is the first movie directed by Mitr Chaibancha. It is also the last movie in which Mitr Chaibancha played. Mitr died after falling from a rope ladder that was dangling from a helicopter. He was only 36 years old. Many Thai theaters paid respect to Mitr Chaibancha before showing "Golden Eagle" movie by placing a Pepsi bottle in front of a picture of the Thai actor. It was said that Mitr Chaibancha liked Pepsi. 40 copies were done for "Golden Eagle" movie as it was the last movie of Mitr Chaibancha. Normally only a few copies were done per movie.

Tanoi (Sombat Methanee) is a prince (ฟ้าชาย) living in a small kingdom at the Thai border. Some insurgents try to kill him. It is a putsch handled by Saenfa (Man Teeraphol). Tanoi has to flee by helicopter. Metta (Metta Roongrat), Koi (Petchara Chaowarat) and Tua (Dokdin Kanyaman) are three friends always together. As usual Metta and Dokdin are playing supporting roles (ตัวประกอบ) so bringing additional fun. The helicopter crashes but Tanoi has time to escape. Tua catches him in his fish net. Tanoi, despite being mistaken as a thief, finally becomes friend with Koi, Tua and Metta. A romance starts between Koi and Tanoi. Tanoi doesn't disclose his royal origin and is happy to stay in remote village (บ้านป้า). Yanee (Jomchai Jarintorn) through Choomporn (Choomporn Theppitak) wishes to buy Koi's land. Fond of Tanoi, she wishes to hire him but he refuses. Tanoi finally succeeds to contact his army thanks to the radio left in the helicopter. Choomporn is hired by Saenfa's team to catch Tanoi. The village becomes too dangerous for Tanoi so he leaves for Bangkok. Yanee and Koi have different mothers but same father, ie Sawin (Sawin Sawangrat). Yanee expulses Koi from her land. Koi, Tua and Metta go to Bangkok to live in the father's house but they are chased away by Chadaporn Wachirapranee. Aran (Adul Dulyarat) is protecting Tanoi. Per his advice, Tanoi has to wear a moustache and ignore his old friends to avoid any risk being identified by Saenfa. Koi, Tua and Metta identify him in a restaurant terrace but are disappointed when Tanoi claims he doesn't know them. Koi and his friends are sheltered by a nice lady, who in fact Tanoi's mother! Sawin makes alliance with Saenfa. Tanoi shall be captured or killed. During a dinner between Tanoi and Aran, Koi and his friends disguise to know more about Tanoi. Ruffians try to kill him. Yanee just puts sleeping medicine instead of poison as she loves secretly Tanoi. So Koi and his friends can rescue Tanoi on time. Yukol, Tanoi's younger brother, also loves Koi. In Mae Sai, Pa discloses to Koi that Tanoi is her son. Meanwhile Tanoi tries to regain power. Sawin is killed. Despite strong resistance, Saenfa's soldiers are defeated. Finally Tanoi marries Koi after a last minute suspense and misunderstanding as she believes she is not high ranking enough for a prince. The DVD is based on different sets of movie reels. The 16mm part is in very good condition and is still colorful. The movie features a few songs recorded in 35mm format but the damaged image is in red color only. But it is still original songs despite some cracking in the sound. Two movies were released by Dokdin Kanyaman, ie ไทยใหญ่ in 1970 and ไทยน้อย in 1969. For movie ไทยใหญ่ featuring Sombat Methanee hanging to a rope attached to a helicopter, extra precaution were taken to avoid same tragic accident as Mitr Chaibancha. The father blames his son (ลูกอกตัญญู) and decides to break the relationship with him (เลิกเป็นลูกพ่อกัน). Saeng Rawee has another lover called Kam Maen (คำแมน), who is the local ruffians leader (ดินแดนอิทธิพล). Seua (เสือ)(สมชาย ศรีภูมิ) is Sing's younger brother and becomes a bad guy under Kam Maen's guidance. Finally the father dies and legates everything to Sing. Saeng Rawee and Kam Maen try everything to destroy the testament (พินัยกรรม). Ruffians ask for the testament from doctor Phan. As he fights back he is shot dead and his wife is kidnapped. Phum Reun (ภุมริน), a friend, informs Sing regarding the latest news regarding his father's death, the doctor death and his young brother becoming a bad guy (โจร). Doctor (หมอ) Phan was his friend so Sing needs to go home to investigate who killed him. Sing gathers 7 friends to fight back against Kam Maen. One of them is Dokrak (ดอกรัก)(Choomporn Theppitak). Doktoi (ดอกเตย), owner of a local bar, recruits Dokrak, good singer, as he protects her versus ruffians led by Chanee Yotchai. Doktoi is Kam Maen's minor wife but there is no real love so she provides useful information to Dokrak. Sing and his friends prepare a plan. Seua, Sing's young brother, drinks heavily. Sing wants to bring him back to the right path (สายเลือดเดียวกัน). The two brothers fight as Sing doesn't want his brother Seua to become a bad guy. Ruffians would like to get the whole money so push the two brothers against each other. Sing meets Thaephee (Petchara Chaowara), who is a teacher inside the village. Sing's team eliminates one ruffians team. But Sing is then kidnapped. Seua plans to help his brother by exchanging Sing versus Kam Maen's daughter Vick. Kam Maen sells weapons and bombs to reds insurrection in order to use for rebellion against Thai government. He is a traitor (ขายชาติ). Kam Maen needs the testament to get more money to buy weapons. He tortures Sing to know the truth. Thae Phee is ready to everything (ยอมเป็นเมีย) to avoid Sing to become blind. But hopefully his friends can help and free him. The movie finishes with various shootings in which Sing's friends die, Seua dies and Sarawee dies by saving Sing's life against Kam Maen. Villagers are fighting against the traitors and the Thai flag is shown as the final image. The reds menace was present during decade 1960s in Northeastern region of Thailand. So such films were part of governmental propaganda. The movie is more than 2 hours and 20 minutes long. Some parts of the movie are missing and have been cut. Either they were in bad condition or Lepso Studio has to cut the movie to fit into a limited VCD format. There is no more original soundtrack as it is a 16mm movie. It is too bad as original songs are lost. Movie colors are wiped out.

It looks like a Western type movie and featuring 9 songs. Song รักเธอเสมอ remains famous and was sung many time by various singers. The movie features เพลงลูกกรุง. Sombat (Sombat Methanee) is visiting a police station to inform them about his friends kidnapping. Adul Dulyarat is police leader. Taksin (Taksin Jampol) and Wassana (Wassana Chalakorn) have kidnapped Petchara (Petchara Chaowarat) and Prachuap (Prachuap Ruekyamdee). Police is surrounding the ruffians. Police cannot attack as they have hostages. Shootings start and Sombat helps to release them. Taksin and Wassana try to flee. Adul is injured. Wassana is shot by Taksin as she tries to flee on her own. Petchara gives comfort to Adul as he is injured but her heart is split between Sombat and Adul. Taksin comes back for revenge. Following an ultimate fight with Sombat, he falls and dies in a hot spring water. Charin Nantanakorn produced and directed the movie. During a final engagement, Petchara shall choose between Adul or Sombat.

Thai Chinese movie อัศวินดาบกายสิทธิ์ - 飛俠神刀 - "Flyer and Magic Sword" lasts 1h20mn and was released in year 1970. It was released under 35mm, VHS, VCD and DVD format. It was shot in Hong Kong. It was the first international movie in which Mitr Chaibancha took part. Two versions of the movie were shot, one with Hong Kong Chinese star (กว่าง หลิน / Ling Fan) as the leading actress for the international version and one with Petchara Chaowarat as leading actress for the Thai version. As Mitr Chaibancha died in an accident in 1970, an actor from Chaiyaphum province called Chat Chaiyaphum (ชาติ ชัยภูมิ) was used in order to finish the movie. Mitr also started playing in another Chinese movie จอมดาบพิชัยยุทธ (1971) but was replaced by another actor called Luechai Natnat (ลือชัย นฤนาท). The movie includes flying acrobatic fights shot in Hong Kong's Sai Kung country park. The DVD/VCD includes the Hong Kong version featuring Ling Fan as main actress. The DVD/VCD also includes 52 minutes of old damaged footage with Thai actress Petchara Chaowarat playing Lan Choo. This movie is also known under the name "อภินิหารดาบทองคำ" or “Hooded Swordsman”. Lan Choo, her father and his guards are attacked in their home by a group of armed men led by another clan. Wai Ching (Mitr Chaibancha) saves Lan Choo (คู่รัก). She leaves upset as Wai Ching is still angry against her father. She then meets a mysterious man expert in blade, Phi Lun, who declares his love to her. The two clans are fighting over a salt mine. Lan Choo's father stole the salt mine from Wai Ching's father. He has issues with Phi Lun, the mysterious expert in blade, so the two clans decide to support each other. Lan Choo's father expects help from Wai Ching by promising a wedding with his daughter but Wai Ching refuses as he cannot forget the past. Lan Choo's father killed Wai Ching's father. Phi Lun is half crazy and a rivality emerges with Wai Ching as they both love Lan Choo. Phi Lun has become crazy (คนบ้าฆ่าคน) as his mother was raped and killed in front of him. Phi Lun kills people that Wai Ching loves. So Wai Ching chases Phi Lun for a fight. Wai Ching has special skills such as flying jumps. Phi Lun is using small blades behaving like boomerang. Wai Ching is defeated but Phi Lun spares his life this time. Wai Ching uses a stratagem to defeat Phi Lun through a revenge fight. Phi Lun is left as dead. Then the two clans make alliance against Wai Ching. Wai Ching is welcomed by the father, who organises a big feast. This is a trap and Wai Ching is captured. Phi Lun, who didn't die yet, helps Wai Ching to escape. Phi Lun helps as he wishes to kill Wai Ching by himself. Finally Wai Ching defeats Phi Lun again. Seeing Wai Ching being weaker due to the fighting with Phi Lun, the father is about to kill him but Phi Lun saves his life for a last time. Wai Ching flees thanks to Lan Choo and the two clans kill each other to get the salt mine. In year 1992, there was discussion to project the Thai version in Ambassador theater (แอมบาสเดอร์). It didn't happen as the film was incomplete. Finally อัศวินดาบกายสิทธิ์ movie was released a second time in year 1998. It was released in theater by movie director Khun To Pantamit as an homage for Mitr Chaibancha birthday. Khun To Pantamit ordered a new copy of the 35mm film from Hong Kong and had it dubbed in Thai language. Thanks to his later release, the movie is still available in HD colorful version. If it was the original 1970 film, the 35mm film would be red already and damaged similar to the Thai release. It was shown in theater เฉลิมกรุง 20 times. It was also released nationwide in Thailand.

Devilish killer can defeat 15 men in a single combat thanks to his iron hands, strong kick and powerful nine ring golden blade. He requests a thunderbolt sword to a clan leader. The clan leader refuses as it is the Clan sacred sword. He sends his two sons Chi Wen (Chaiya Suriyun) and Chi Wu away with the sword. The devilish killer defeats the clan leader and its men. He is now looking after Chi Wen and Chi Wu. Chi Wen is also defeated but the godly beggar helps him to escape death and to flee. Chi Wu is also defeated but gets help from a mysterious blind fighter. Chi Wen is taught by the godly beggar how to better fight. He helps princess Ju Yen (Petchara Chaowarat) attacked by two ruffians. Love emerges between both of them. Her father has promised her to devilish killer. Aware of Chi Wen, the father makes him pass difficult but successful tests. He finally drugs him, disfigured him and throws him from a cliff. Chi Wen refuses to see Ju Yen again as he feels ashamed to be disfigured. Meanwhile Chi Wu meets a young lady miss Chow selling flowers in a temple. She is skilled in sword handling. Following altercation with ruffians, Chi Wu is about to be defeated by them but finally secured by his own masked brother. Chi Wen refuses to disclose his identity and trains Chi Wu to improve his skills. This time it is Chi Wu helping miss Chow in a fight against ruffians. Ju Yen also joins us as she hopes to get news of Chi Wen from Chi Wu. Chi Wu notices miss Chow has the same sword. Only twin thunderbolt blades can defeat devilish killer. Chi Wen takes the two swords in order to train himself. Chi Wu, miss Chow and Ju Yen defy the devilish killer. Will Chi Wen join them on time? They are finally defeated despite using tricks such as armor or water to extinguish fire bombs. Chi Wen arrives on time to defeat the devilish killer thanks to the twin thunderbolt blades. They are finally all safe and Chi Wen's face is restored thanks to his master. This Taiwanese movie 活閻王 was supposed to feature Thai famous actor Mitr Chaibancha but following his sudden death in 1970, he was finally replaced by Chaiya Suriyun. Mitr Chaibancha went to Hong Kong to play in three Wuxia films in his last year. But only "Flyer and Magic Sword" was completed. "Sword of Emei", "The Tiger and the Dragon" and “The Devilish Killer” were finished with other leading actor. This movie is also called " L'uomo della grande muraglia" overseas.

ลำพู is a Thai movie released in year 1970. 1h23mn is left so only three reels. Normally movies in decade 1960s~1970s often last two hours minimum. The picture is still colorful. The movie quits the countryside to the seaside where Sombat and Petchara have fun singing, playing unreal music instruments and playing in the water. Prim have arguments with Petchara while she is keeping her suitcase following her trip to seaside. Prim and Petchara are sisters? While Petchara is sick following overwork, her friends take care of her. Sombat is back from abroad. Prim wishes to become the official fiancee and to replace Petchara in Sombat’s heart. She organizes Sombat’s kidnapping but it fails. She finally drugs him. Meanwhile Petchara is kidnapped by Choomporn and Sawin. A huge storm is coming. Awaken, Sombat pushes back Prim and rushes to look for Petchara. People like Sawin struggles to bring their wealth with them but finally dies in house explosion following their greedy attitude. This movie is certainly one of the first Thai catastrophe movies. The movie includes real footage of a storm, i.e. Talumphuk storm in Nakhon Sri Thammarat on 27 october 1962. The severe storm called Talumphuk (ตะลุมพุก) devastated Pak Phanang coast and Talumphuk cape. It killed 769 inhabitants. Petchara falls from a passerelle during the storm. Sombat falls also during the storm. After the storm, many corpses can be seen. Sombat is looking for Petchara anxiously. She cannot be found. Petchara's friend blames Sombat. She is finally rescued by the hospital but her face is disfigured to the big delight of Prim. Petchara thinks about suicide but her mother prevents her. Sombat is still looking for Petchara despite her parents saying she has disappeared. Recognizing her clothes on a clothesline, he knows she is hiding in her parents’ home. She refuses Sombat's love as she is now ugly. Sombat promises to take care and to pay for hospital bills regarding facial surgery. Prim hires Choomporn, promising sweet rewards, to pour acid on Petchara’s face while she is recovering at hospital. He does so but does it on the wrong person! At a big party, Sombat is accompanied by Petchara back to her full beauty causing Prim’s wrath. The movie stops here.

Saming (สมิง) is a local ruffian. He loves a young lady called Srinuan (ศรีนวล) (Petchara Chaowarat). While trying to get back a necklace belonging to his family, Saming is injured so he cannot stay close to Srinuan. Neung (หนึ่ง) (Mitr Chaibancha), a Bangokian young man, comes to visit the village one week for a local yearly dance contest festival. Saming loves Srinuan but Srinuan is more interested in Neung. It is reciprocal. Saming is unhappy with Neung. During the dance contest, competitors try to hurt Srinuan but Neung protects her and gets injured. Srinuan spends the night with Neung. As Srinuan’s father, Kamnan Tong (กำนันธง), is aware, Neung needs to take responsability (ต้องรับผิดชอบ). Neung is coming from a rich family. His father is disappointed by his son's behavior but wants his son to finish his studies first and get approval from the grandmother. Neung needs to leave. Srinuan promises to wait (ค่อยพี่นะ). Behind the curtain, Neung's father promises land and money to Srinuan's father to forget about this union. 18 years have passed. A daughter is born from their brief union. Her name is Soi (สอยดาว), who is now a beautiful teen. Neung's father sends his grand children to check the land he gave to subdistrict headman Tong. It includes Deuan (สาวเดือน ) and Kla (ลูกเมียแต่ง / ลูกเมียหลวง). Saming (โจร เสือ) is now the ruffians leader. Srinuan doesn't want Soi to meet the Bangkokian people as they might have bad intentions. Soi helps Deuan, her half sister, who falls in the river (ด้วยน้ำใจ). She is sad that her real father never visited her. Kla, the brother, has a bad mindset denigrating countryside people and gets smacked by Soi. Neung wishes to know who hit Kla. Neung meets Soi and understands she is her daughter. Neung wishes to know the truth about Soi. The father, subdistrict headman Tong, doesn't wish to let Neung meet Srinuan again but Neung insists. After 18 years passed Srinuan doesn't want to meet him again also (ไม่อยากเป็นเมียที่สอง! ไปขอทานที่อื่น!). Finally Neung recognizes officially Soi as her daughter and she moves to Bangkok to become an upper class lady (เลือดควาย / เลือดผู้ดี). Neung’s wife, Soi Phet, doesn't accept this as it means to share heritage with another family member. Many troubles happen. Kla sends two ruffians to rape Soi. The grandmother falls from stairs while trying to help. Soi is accused and goes back to countryside with her mother. Neung’s wife wishes to get back the land. Following a boat assault, Neung’s wife is shot. Saming is responsible. Following gun fights between Police and ruffians, a final duel happens between Neung and Saming. Neung wins. Kla is injured and is forgiven by his father and Soi. Neung and Srinuan can now live happily together. Interesting to find that Sorapong Chatree, Thailand’s most famous actor, is playing a young stunt during a few minutes at the beginning of the movie.

The mother finally realises everybody lied to her. Wan Pen decides to leave this crazy house (ดูถูก) and goes back to her home in Sukhothai. Soi is still pushing Mitr to marry but he is still pushing back. Soi and her mother (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) prepare a bad plan against Mitr. Aware, Wan Pen and Kwan inform him. Shootings happen during a concert. The kidnapping foils as Thai police shoot the ruffians. Mitr is now aware that Wan Pen helped him as she was worried and concerned. Seua Pon kidnaps Wan Pen and uses her as a bait to shoot Mitr. Seua Pon doesn't shoot after hearing her name. Seua Pon and Mitr have a final duel. Knowing that Mitr is injured at the hand, he has no chance against Seua Pon so Wan Pen shoots him with a rifle. Realising she killed her own father, Wan Pen feels bad and flees. Kwan acknowledges he was the one to shoot Seua Pon as both him and Wan Pen shot at same time. Mitr doesn't arrest Kwan as Seua Pon was a bad man. The movie ends up with a romance between Mitr and Wan Pen.

In the past, Pa Puang used to love Pan Kaew’s father. But this love was not reciprocal. When Pan kaew was born, Pa Puang promised to make Pan Kaew’s life as miserable as possible as a revenge against her father. Saying goodbye to the old man, he tells her to dig for an old jar and take the bracelet inside. If somebody sees this bracelet, she shall answer she is ขวัญหล้า! If this somebody has a red taint, Pan Kaew shall bring him to help the old man. In Bangkok, Pan Kaew meets Bua Riaw (Orasa). Understanding they have been sold, they try to flee. One day while the brothel owner brings Pan Kaew for her first customer, a man named Sun called her as Kwan La. Knowing Pan Kaew’s father, Sun decides to help her. Meanwhile the brothel owner’s son also decides to help Pan Kaew to flee. The summary ends up here.

A testament is written by an aging father. Everything will be given for the granddaughter, Rung Na Pha (รุ่งนภา), i.e. money and the family house called Sand Castle (ปราสาททราย). Ang Madison is neighbor of the Sand Castle (วัง). One of the uncles, Sulasit, also finds Dao, who is having the same face as Rung Na Pha. He brings her back to the family house but villagers and other family members start to notice that she (คุณหนู) has changed a lot. Back to his home, Ang Madison meets Dao but she tells him there is misunderstanding as she is Rung Na Pha and not Dao. Sulasit’s daughter likes Ang Madison a lot and wishes to marry him as he is coming from a rich family. Sulasit is friend with Det, a local ruffian head (เจ้าพ่อ). Both uncles don't want half of the house but the whole house including Ang Madison’s land. Both uncles’ daughters fight to get interest from Ang Madison. They are jealous about Dao as Ang Madison has more interest in her. Ang Madison wishes to share his land with poor villagers to help them. Ang Madison refuses to sell his land to Sulasit, so Sulasit asks Det to kill Ang Madison. Dao and her friends find the real Rung Na Pha in her hidden cell. There are nice old Fx twin effects as Dao and Rung Na Pha both played by Petchara Chaowarat appear on the screen. Dao and her friends cannot release Rung Na Pha on time. Sulasit hits Rung Na Pha harshly causing her death. Sulasit forces Dao to be present as the official opening of the testament. Det is ready to act following Sulasit’s order but wishes to play his own plan to get all money and diamonds. Sulasit’s son helps and Dao tells the truth about her real identity during the testament opening. Det’s irruption brings a mess. Fights happen. Family members fight for pink Diamond. Tragedy happens. The two daughters drown. Sulasit fights with Ang Madison. Finally the father’s crazy daughter, mother of Rung Na Pha, puts the fire inside the palace and it explodes. Dao and Ang Madison are safe. In year 1969, this movie became famous. Phanmitr (พันธมิตร) company got the last film copy and shared it with all Thai movies fans.

A robber has a young son, called Praiwan. They save one young woman and her baby girl. In parallel, her husband, who is a king, is expelled from his kingdom and imprisoned. The baby girl is called Suriya Noi (daughter of the sun) and has a powerful necklace. Whoever wants to catch her will suffer heat and be burnt. Praiwan and Suriya Noi sympathize and have supernatural powers (ผู้วิเศษ). Finally Suriya Noi and her mother go back to the kingdom. But the mother is imprisoned and the daughter is given to another family, where she is treated as a slave. A few years have passed, Praiwan has become an adult. He searches for Suriya Noi. He is trapped by the king and his mistress, who pretends to be Suriya Noi. She wants to become the queen but the imposture is uncovered. Praiwan makes Suriya Noi pregnant. Suriya Noi has a child called Suriyan. Despite Praiwan bad behavior, Suriyan keeps gratitude (กตัญญู) over her father. A sorcerer (แม่มด) wishes to help the imposter king in order to defeat Suriya Noi and Suriyan. They can be only defeated if their husband / father kills them. The plan fails and the movie ends happily with the right king reinstalled and Praiwan, Suriya Noi and Suriyan reunited as a family. A remake was done in 1986 with Sorapong Chatree. The remake takes place in 20th century and machine guns fights have replaced sword fighting.

Kata meets Liboo (Metta Roongrat) on the way. Kata is recruited as military instructor (ฝึก). Soldiers are women (ทหารหญิง). This small kingdom is between Thailand and Burma. Nonsa (Petchara Chaowarat) is the leader of the kingdom as her father is deeply sick since three years. Her step sister (ลูกบุญธรรม) called Yanee (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) is looking to take power (ผู้ร้าย). Tapo and Kata are competitors for Nonsa's heart. A duel between Tapo and Kata ends with Kata's victory. Jealous of Kata's love over Nonsa, Liboo tries to hurt Nonsa. O takes the blame of this. Tapo (Man Teeraphol) is also a traitor and tries to convince Liboo to join them (ชาวผู้ร้าย). Kata and O are also captured but succeed to flee thanks to Liboo. Gun fights happen between the two groups. Yanee and Nonsa injure each other. Kata brings Nonsa to a Chiang Mai hospital. Taking advantage that Nonsa is not here, Yanee’s army tries to attack Pu Luang base but they are pushed back thanks to Sawin, Nonsa’s brother, and Liboo. Nonsa is recovering from her arm injury with Kata but rushes back to her kingdom when learning the bad news. Tapo shoots Liboo in the back. Pu Luang base is finally defeated. Nonsa and Kata succeed to wake up the father as he was sleeping since three years. Nonsa finally shoots deadly Yanee. Kata is discovered to be a spy but he refuses to disclose for who. Facing the firing squad, he only says to Nonsa that he loves her (ผมรักคุณ). Finally he is forgiven as love is reciprocate. Kata is working for Thai government. He needs to go back to Thailand. Will he choose between love or duty? Nonsa asks him to choose duty (นาที) first. Finally Sawin takes the responsibility of Pu Luang kingdom in order to let his sister leave with Kata. This movie directed by Dokdin Kanyaman is part of Happy Home new DVD releases. There is a mix of action, romance and comedy with Dokdin Kanyaman as relief character. ลมเหนือ (1969) is a 2h23mn movie but the original version should be longer as some parts are missing. Dokdin Kanyaman is called 'black' (ดำ) due to his skin complexion! The first actor to wear a machine gun with ammunitions on the arm was not Silvester Stallone but Mitr Chaibancha!

ไทยน้อย is a Thai movie directed by Dokdin Kanyaman and released in year 1969. A 4mn30 mute trailer, shot in 16mm format, is still remaining. Another sequence of 3mn30 can be found on internet also. Despite information is lacking on movie ไทยน้อย (Thai Noi), it is guessed that both movies ไทยน้อย (Thai Noi) and ไทยใหญ่ (Thai Jai) are linked together. Thanks to her unique sweet eyes and face, Thai people loved actress Petchara Chaowarat so much. She got nickname as นางเอกนัยน์ตาหยาดน้ำผึ้ง (honey eyes) or เพชรน้ำหนึ่งราชินีจอเงิน. The other 3mn30s sequence is still colorful and quite sharp. Petchara is selling fruits in a train station and sells to customers in the train when it halts temporary in the station. Petchara plays two roles in the movie. Orasa kidnaps the fruit vendor for Petchara to replace her. Certainly she is chased by some ruffians. Dokdin is selling also fruits in the train station and finds that her behavior has changed. On the way to be recognized by a ruffian, Petchara forcibly feeds Sombat with fruits to create diversion.

Kangwan (กังวาน) and Karaket (การะเกด) meet each other in a Buddhist temple at night time. Kangwan, young and rich bachelor, is studying magic and ghosts knowledge (วิชาชุบชีวิต). Karaket brings flowers to her mother grave, Nang Sopha. Ladies O and Karaket are half sisters, i.e. same father but different mothers. O's mother was the main wife. Karaket's mother, Nang Sopha, was the minor wife (เมียน้อย). Kangwan's father and the two daughters' father agreed to have Kangwan marry one of the two daughters. O and her mother are jealous towards Karaket especially as Kangwan has more interest into Karaket than into O. The mother decides to have Karaket killed. She is already responsible of Karaket's mother death twenty years ago by poisoning. The mother and her maid try to poison Karaket's drinking water. Nang Sopha ghost protects her daughter but no killing shall be done to avoid adding more sins to her karma (กรรม). The poisoning attempt fails thanks to the ghost intervention. The bad mother then uses a monk to purify the house and install a sacred thread around the house to prevent ghosts from entering. Kangwan has to go to India to continue his studies. Meanwhile the bad mother attempts another trial to kill Karaket by putting a snake inside a box. This time due to sacred tread (สายสิญจน์) the ghost cannot help her and she dies following the snake bite. Kangwan is at Taj Mahal when Karaket's spirit asks for help. It is time for judgement in hell and Phra Yom (God of the underworld) takes Karaket with him. Kangwan has to fulfill the earlier promise between both families and is forced to marry O. But thanks to his knowledge in white magic, his soul (วิญญาณ) goes to hell to pick up Karaket and brings her back in the living world. The trueness behind Karaket's death is known. The mother sizes a gun and kills her maid, who has revealed the truth, and is strangled by Nang Sopha ghost before being able to kill Karaket a second time. Kangwan and Karaket can marry happily. In this old movie, there are typical dog howlings to indicate ghosts coming and Fx effect are limited to images superposition for ghosts apparition. This great old 1960s movie with superstars Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowara is typical of old Thai movies with the bad girl (นางอิจฉา) trying everything to be the main actor's girlfriend and always trying to get rid of the leading actress (นางเอก).

While taking a picture, it is discovered that Petchara is also a ghost. Finally, Luechai is also aware. The house is fully haunted. Another real Petchara is coming from the airport. Policemen including Sukon Koewliam get confused between Petchara 1 and Petchara 2. It is disclosed that Petchara 1 and all house's inhabitants were killed by ruffians. Veteran comic actor Sithao Petcharoen is also playing as spirit house ghost. Pipop Pupinyo has a small role of being a ghost. Petchara 2 is captured by the same ruffians to force her to sign a document, but she refuses. Finally, Luechai is informed that Petchara 2 is held captive. Police storm the house, but ghosts (including Pipop Pupinyo) have already taken their revenge. During a final duel between Luechai and Tawan Siriwat, Petchara 1 strangles Tawan. All ghosts must quit this world being called by the king of hell. This small movie features Luechai Natnat as main actor at a time the main popular actors were Mitr Chaibancha and Sombat Methanee for many years. Horror movies from the 1960s despite missing FX effects still have a nostalgic feeling of a forever gone era.

Patheut (Mitr Chaibancha) is the son of village leader Thong. He is just back after many years away from his village. He is mistaken as a robber by Chat (Anucha Ratanaman), local subdistrict headman, and his sister Baanyen. A local influential man (พ่อกำนัน), Meun Phan, terrorizes the population (เขามีอิทธิพล) with his thugs. Thong has also a daughter called Choompu. Cheung, son of Meun Phan, wishes to marry Choompu but she refuses. Rampha (Petchara) is the daughter of Meun Phan. Boonnga (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is the young wife of Meun Phan. Rampha wishes her father to stop acting this way but he rejects her requests. She asks help from Boonnga but without success. Patheut has arguments in a cafe with thugs but a young man called Chai (Choomporn Theppitak) gives him a hand. Rampha asks to stop the fighting so Patheut meets her for the first time. Ruffians put a bomb in Chat's car. Luckily Chat and Patheut escape to death as a thug robs their car and dies in the explosion. Patheut finally understands that Rampha has a good personality (ดีมาก) and is not same as her father. Rampha promises to help Patheut but Patheut needs to promise not to harm her father. Meun Phan suspects Boonnga to have a hidden lover. Ruffians kidnapp Choompu despite Chat's resistance. Thanks to Patheut and Chai, she is released. Choompu and Baanyen find the thugs' hidden refuge but get captured again. Ruffian leader Meun Phan orders to kill Chat and Thong (ปล้นบ้าน). Boonnga tells to Chai where the secret centre is. Chat and Chai release them again. Boonnga is shot by a thug. Police is surrounding the camp. Meun Phan is killed as he understands, thanks to Rampha, that he is taken the wrong path betraying his own country but it is too late to change side and to warn the police. Chai is in fact part of the border police (ตำรวจชายแดน). Following fierce fighting, ruffians are all killed or captured. Patheut is in fact the new district-chief officer (นายอำเภอคนใหม่). This movie is part of nationalist trend movies during decade 1960s with highlights on protecting Thai soil against potential invaders. The movie “จอมคน” was shot in Trat area and was released in year 1969. It lasts 1h47mn. It is still a colorful movie but it is incomplete as some parts are missing.

Krai Kanchit and Kundong help to release Lao Song. Three Maew Daeng members come to Bangkok. Fighting happens between them vs Choomporn Theppitak and Chat Chao Praya. Thida (Petchara Chaowarat ) is the daughter of village headman Lao Song. Krai seems to play a double game. Maew Daeng guerilla embuscades Chat Chao Praya in the jungle. Kundong helps Chat Chao Praya but gets captured. Following shootings, Chat Chao Praya is injured but succeeds to escape. He is cured by Thida. During a village fair, the guerilla (มือปืน) shoots villagers. Chat Chao Praya gets rid of them and is brought to the attention of Thida's father, Lao Song. The left sequence ends here.

A speed boat makes Petchara fall in the water. Mitr rescues her. The speed boat is driven by Petchara's brother. As he dislikes his sister meeting the three young men, fighting happens. The father Tat Ekathat interposes himself but he doesn't like Mitr either. The father forbids them to meet. The movie is named Loy Krathong but the movie is about Loy Krathong festival only at the beginning of the movie when both Mitr and Petchara initially met. The movie is then more an action movie. Mitr and Petchara try to help a young kid tentatively treated by a tribe shaman (Lor Tok). Other villagers interpose as they are not used to western medicine. At nighttime one of the villagers (Pipop Pupinyo) brings the kid for injection. Finally Mitr sympathizes with the shaman and ends up taking care of several children! Metta is aggressed by three ruffians and gets help from Mitr and also a group of children (including famous child actress Tukata Jindanuch). Those children are mischievous. Disappointed not to get Mitr's love, Metta ends up to be drunk. Metta does use a trick on Petchara in order for Mitr to be disappointed by her. Metta prevents her to see Mitr. Mitr and Lor Tok have arguments with policemen and end up in jail. Prachuap Ruekyamdee releases them by using violence and threatening policemen. Mitr injures by the accident a policeman. Arguments are happening between tribe kids and Thai local kids. Petchara is their teacher. Adul Dulyarat, a policeman officer, tries to seduce Petchara. The father Tat Ekathat threatens his daughter of closing the school. Tat Ekathat is aggressed by thieves on a mountain road. Luckily Mitr, Prachuap, Lor Tok are around and chase away the thieves. The three friends realise that Boo Wibunnan is trafficking drug. Behind this traffic, there is involvement of Tat Ekathat and ruffians leader. Fist fighting erupts involving Adinan also. Tat Ekathat stops everybody. It is discovered that the candles on the krathong contain explosives. It looks like Boo Wibunnan and Lor Tok die in an explosion. Mitr and Prachuap are arrested by Adul and Sukon Koewliam, a policeman. They get transfered under military authority, who releases them. Metta is captured with ruffians. Two policemen gets captured also. Meanwhile Mitr follows up Adinan but gets injured by Ekathat's fellow worker. Mitr hides in the school and is treated by Petchara. Adul discovers Mitr in Petchara's room. Things get worse as Petchara is kidnapped and Mitr and Adul are locked in a room with Prachuap. They succeed to flee. Meanwhile Petchara is crucified by hill tribe villagers. Mitr fails to help her and is also crucified. Meanwhile Prachuap follows the ruffians leader and tries to prevent Adinan to rape Wassana Chalakorn. Adul with a bunch of policemen try to release Mitr and Petchara. Finally Prachuap and Wassana Chalakorn flee and release all the hill tribes children. Hill tribes villagers change side seeing their children now released. Ruffians blaze the village. A four minutes trailer is still available and showing some final scenes not present in the 2h08mn left to be seen. A final fight happens between Mitr and the ruffians leader.

As Rose has disappeared, the mother has already a new plan to marry her son Rin to another niece of Princess Pa, i.e. Duang Kaew (Kingdao Daranee). While visiting a school, Rin is hurt by a ball sent by Luk Maew. They meet for the first time. Rin brings Luk Maew back to his home. Luk Maew shall be the baby-sitter for his disabled niece. In the home, there are also Rin’s mother and her two daughters Metta Roongrat and Preeya Roongrueng. Luk Maew is not welcomed. Luk Maew meets Preuhat Boonlong, being the father of the niece. He cannot meet his daughter as the mother considers him as a poor man. Sifu threatens Metta following a night she was drunk. Meanwhile ruffians think that Luk Maew and Rose are the same person. To be safe, Luk Maew flees from the house and claims to join her fiancé. Rin is disappointed and finally accepts to marry Duang Kaew per his mother's request. Luk Maew takes refuge in Preuhat's home and learns about the wedding through newspapers. About to leave home, Luk Maew is captured by Paen Pleumsachai and Sifu. Seeing the wedding card, Sifu decides to storm the wedding as he realises that his boss Dusit (Sawin Sawangrat) betrayed him. Sifu was supposed to marry Duang Kaew. Sifu shoots Dusit and plans to use Luk Maew as a hostage. Rin and Krai Kanchit storm Sifu's den to release Luk Maew. Metta Roongrat is the one, who shoots Sifu, to take revenge as he abused her when she was drunk. There is a misunderstanding as Luk Maew believes that only Krai helped to release her. Two lawyers ask the mother to pay her debts. Preuhat pays the debts and the mother accepts again Preuhat as son- in-law and apologizes for her misunderstanding. Disappointed, Rin is about to leave Thailand. Luuk Maew fails to meet him at the airport, but luckily thanks to Preuhat, the misunderstanding is solved.

Wannee found a job in a Bangkok dancing club directed by sexy directress Ratree (Chadaporn Wachirapranee). Pon (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and Passakorn often party. Wannee met Passakorn in the dancing club. He liked her immediately (ผู้หวังดี). Passakorn is the son of a rich company owner but he is not really hard worker, spending a lot of money and going in clubs. Passakorn asked a few days to Wannee before talking to parents about their relationship. Wannee still had doubts on Passakorn's real feelings. Wannee got pregnant but Passakorn still didn't inform his parents about their relationship (ไม่ชื่อแล้ว, คนโกหก). When talking to his father, this latter shown him a photo of Adirek and Wannee together. He believed Wannee had betrayed him (ทรยศ). He went for London leaving Wannee puzzled and believing Passakorn refused to take his responsibility (ใจชั่ว). Passakorn stopped his friendship with Adirek also. Knowing that Wannee was pregnant and her difficult situation, Adirek proposed his help. Wannee and her mother went on countryside to deliver the baby quietly. Meanwhile Oi continued her studies and got closer to Adirek. As his father died in an accident, Passakorn had to flight back from London. Passakorn still couldn't forget Wannee and was drinking heavily every day. Oi got highest grade in her school and got a tuition for Japan offered to the school by Passakorn! Passakorn started a close friendship with Oi causing serious despair to Adirek and Wannee. Wannee's child was a born dead baby. Passakorn was still upset with Wannee believing she betrayed him (นางกากี. คนทรยศ). Passakorn had to marry with Urai following heritage arrangements. Wannee's father was upset with her (ลูกช่ัว) and only Oi was seen as a good girl. Wannee went to meet Passakorn to ask him stopping meeting her young sister and to move away. He refused. Being denigrated by her father and sister, Wannee organized Oi's kidnapping and got suicide in Passakorn's home so that he could get accused. Pon finally claims that he is the one who took the picture with Adirek and Wannee but he didn't think it will degenerate like this. Passakorn and Adirek resume friendship. Adirek and Pon look for a letter proving that Wannee died through suicide and not murdered by Passakorn. Uncle Wong (Adinan Singhiran) refuses to give it as he believes Passakorn is responsible of Wannee's death. During the trial, Passakorn, knowing he was unfair to Wannee, agrees he killed her. His friends succeed to get the letter and can show Passakorn innocence. Released and back home, Passakorn gets reunited with Wannee by using the same knife inhibited with poison to quit this world. This 1968 movie is 2h24mn long and still features a very colorful image. it is one of the best role of Mitr Chaibancha playing a bad guy. The parents are Kanchanarot (Adul Dulyarat) and Varee. Dara and Deuan are not willing as they have a secret animosity against this family. Anong wishes his brother to stop seeing Deuan as the manager even sent ruffians to hit Poon due to jealousy. Finally Anong sent his brother abroad for study. Wadee is Varee’s daughter. It is scheduled that Anong and Wadee will certainly marry. Dara is hit by a car and dies. Kanchanarot meets Deuan. They had an affair long time ago. Kanchanarot believes Dao is his own daughter with Deuan. Choem is her old name. Meanwhile Sia, a ruffian, falls in love with Dao and offers 150 000 baht to Deuan to marry Dao. Sia and the club manager wish to take Dao and Deuan as wives. Deuan flees before the one month deadline expiry and accepts Dao to stay in Kanchanarot ‘s family. Valai, Varee’s sister, tries to bring jealousy in Varee and Wadee's heart against Dao (จะรักมากจะลืมคนอื่น). Poon loves also Dao but got another love, Pen, while studying abroad. He requests help from his elder brother. Anong has the difficult task (พ่อซื้อ) to ask Dao’s hand for his younger brother despite he loves secretly Dao. Dao cries as she also loves secretly Anong. Deuan contacts Dao and assures Anong is much better than Poon. Dao decides to marry Trin as she doesn't want to hurt Wadee. Poon and Pen finally marry. Trin refuses to marry Dao as he knows Dao doesn't love him. Finally Sia kidnaps Dao to have her becoming his wife. The movie ends tragically with Trin giving his life to protect Dao and taking the blame regarding the knife used by Deuan to stab Sia. Mothers have often similar age as daughters in old Thai movies! It was Pisarn Akraseranee first movie. A Thai TV serie สกุลกา was made in 2009 based on a similar scenario.

Mitr uses Petchara as the taxi driver to find the lady. But ruffians kidnap the mum to get the red emerald. Finally Mitr, Petchara and her real father contribute to release the lady. The movie ends happily. In this movie, Petchara Chaowarat has short hair. It looks like in this 1968 period, she changed her look and her short hair style can also be seen in other 1967/1968 movies such as ปูจ๋า.

Finally Chak pays the father to adopt Raem (น้องบุญธรรม). Raem comes to Bangkok and helps first in domestic tasks. Arguments occur with Oon (อีเด็กบ้า). Chak asks her to stay calm (ต้องอดทน) as Oon has bad character and Raem can be bad mouth. Nit (Metta Roongrat) is engaged with Tanin (Prachuap Ruekyamdee), who is a policeman. Chak asks Tanin's help to clarify if Raem is a boy or a girl. They decide to use Nit for this task. Boramet (เด็กเกเร) is Nit's younger brother. He always spending a lot of money in gambling. He is also Oon's lover and their plan is to steal money as much as they can from Chak. Nit identifies that Raem (เด็กกะโปโล) is a girl. Oon, aware, accuses Raem to try to steal her fiance. She announces to break the engagement. Raem decides to flee the house to avoid causing trouble to Chak. Meanwhile Boramet has arguments while playing cards in an underground place and kills a man. The owner asks for 30 000 baht to keep silent. Oon, hoping to marry Boramet, is pushed away by him as he needs to find the 30 000 baht as soon as possible. Chak keeps looking for Raem. Unable to find Raem, Chak asks Raem's father, Seua. They decide to search together in Bangkok. Boramet steals his own father’s money. Seua happens to be there at the same time. Fighting happens and Seua shoots Boramet. Buddhist Karma cannot be escaped as Boramet is in fact Seua’s real son. Raem's real father is Khun Tiwa. Many years ago, Seua exchanges Boramet and Raem to revenge over Khun Tiwa. Bad deed causes bad act. Raem is reunited with her father Khun Tiwa and her sister Nit. Chak marries Raem.

She will be played by Petchara Chaowarat as an adult. The movie takes place in a rich family. Mitr Chaibancha is discussing and having arguments with his parents Khun Wong and Manat Boonkiet. Petchara is walking on the street. Choomporn Theppitak passes by with his car and brings her back home. Petchara visits Phong Lada Pimolpan being at the hospital. Somtam refuses to get 50 000 baht to lose a match. Godfather Lieng Saen Meuang is very upset. Pieng Dao is the daughter of godfather Lieng Saen Meuang and she is an university student. Godfather Lieng Saen Meuang is involved in Thai boxing world (วงการมวย). This godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) has bad influence (อิทธิพล). Lieng Saen Meuang uses his daughter to learn more about Somtam, who is also an university student. He tries to excuse himself and invite Somtam in Chiang Mai to dig more about Somtam's parents. Chao Kham Fa doesn't want Somtam to be around godfather Lieng Saen Meuang. Somtam, Rat and Phairot, Somtam's close friend, accept to go. In Chiang Mai, godfather Lieng Saen Meuang tries to abuse Chom's daughter and finally strangles her. Chom was a loyal ruffian since years but this vile act forces him to change. Athon is held prisoner there since 24 years. A trap is organized by godfather Lieng Saen Meuang to verify the linkage between Athon and Somtam. Chom, fed up Lieng Saen Meuang, decides to betray (ทรยศ) and helps Athon to flee. Back to Bangkok, there is misunderstanding between Somtam and Pieng Dao as Somtam believes she is as bad as her father. Finally love starts between Somtam and Pieng Dao. It is a deception for Rat and Phairot. Godfather Lieng Saen Meuang recruits a killer, Chot, to execute Somtam as he is too close to his daughter. Chot cannot do the job as he is a former friend of Somtam. Somtam is injured by another ruffian. Pieng Dao tries to protect Somtam (ลูกทรยศ). Godfather Lieng Saen Meuang leaves to Chiang Mai. Athon and Chom decide to take their revenge. During a final fight Chom, Chot and Godfather Lieng Saen Meuang die. They all pay for their crimes (ชดใช้กรรม). Another typical movie of 1960s decade with the funny comedian group (ตัวกง) played by Lor Tok and Sukon Koewliam, the kind and nice leading actress (นางเอก) playing by Petchara Chaowarat and the leading actor (พระเอก) played by Mitr Chaibancha.

Suraphol died on August 16, 1968 from gunshot wounds, leaving a rich repertoire of luk thung songs that embodied the spirit of the 1960s. Suraphol's immortal song is "Sip hok Pee Haeng Kwam Lang" (16 Years of Our Past). It was his last and most memorable creation. Suraphol wrote the song to depict the 16 years of his marriage in the most heart-broken and touching way.

As he is a spirit, he is able to see that his father (Pramin Jarujareet) has a mistress (เมียน้อย) called Vilai and a son. He can see the family hidden secrets (หลับ). His mother (Malee Wetpraseri) acts as a pawner and seizes belongings when people cannot reimburse. He meets an old aunt (Chadaporn Wachirapranee). She died 20 years ago when giving birth to a daughter. She asked him to help her daughter called Noi (Petchara Chaowarat) who is now in the ghost realms. He also visits the hell (นรก) directed by Yama (พระยม). Adultery is severely punished. Guardians stick sinners with forks. After checking the book of the deads, Narin still has 30 years to live and duties (ภาระ) to do. He is a lawyer. He negotiates advice from Yama regarding Noi as compensation. He is sent back to human world (โลกมนุษย์) during his funeral! A middle age lady called Phayo has debts with Narin's mother. Phayo has a daughter, called Pratheuan (Preeya Roongrueng), going to university. Narin's mother wants to exchange the debts against a wedding promise with her son. To help Phayo, Narin agrees to do a fake engagement ceremony so that Phayo can get back her debt papers but Pratheuan wishes to really marry Narin. Narin then contacts uncle Suk (Sukon Koewliam), a sorcerer (หมอผี). They go into a remote cave to find Noi (Petchara Chaowarat). She is a ghost (ผีดิบ). Noi is staying in a closed room but domestic servers heard strange noise. A domestic helper warns the mother. Narin has to perform specific ceremonies during seven days and Noi can become human (เป็นคน) again. He has to wear white clothes, should not touch any woman including his own mother during this period, eat vegetarian (กินเจ) and practice meditation. Pratheuan understands she has a risk to lose Narin so she tries to entice him. Narin's mother is also aware that he is dating a ghost so she decides to accelerate the wedding date. It shall happen within three days. His father has a brain hemorrhage and before dying, he asks Narin to help regarding his second family. As the father gives everything to his mistress in the testament (พินัยกรรม), Noi frightens the mistress Vilai (Manee Maneewan) so that she agrees to burn it in order to have a more equitable testament. Noi is now a human but Narin cannot marry her as he still engaged with Pratheuang. Uncle Suk gives to Narin a special temporary medicine to eat in order to appear having leprosy. Pratheuan (Preeya Roongrueng), seeing her own interest, refuses to love and care for Narin as he is disfigured. She asks to withdraw the fiancee promise (ถอดหมั้น). Narin can now happily marry Noi.

Plok (Tawan Siriwat), leader of the ruffians, is somebody having a strong bad influence on the village Don Sethi and is selling drugs (คนมีอิทธิพล ขายยาเสพติด). Tawan punishes Jom Thale (Luechai Natnat), whose hands are broken. Arethai (Petchara Chaowarat) and Jom Thale know each other since childhood. Arethai's parents were killed by ruffians. She was raised by them and used as a slave (ทาส). Jom Thale' s father was killed and his mother became Plok's minor wife (เมียน้อย). The main wife (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) persecuted the minor wife and her two children. So they all fled to Lampang. Later on, Jom Thale’s young brother died as he was killed by ruffians. The mother died being disconsolate. Metta Roongrat is playing a role as สาว karate. Chadaporn Wachirapranee, Plok's main wife, dies while trying to protect Jom Thale that she loves secretly. Jom Thale (Luechai) succeeds to flee thanks to Arethai so Plok is very upset with her. Plok still wants to kill Jom Thale. Plok sends a sbire (ลูกน้อง) to kill Jom Thale , who is hiding in a Buddhist temple. Bell sound means he is dead. Plok rushes to see the corpse but gets captured by Jom Thale, who kills Plok's thugs. Meanwhile Police storms the drugs factory belonging to Plok. Jom Thale is looking for revenge (ล้างแค้น) as his parents and younger brother died because of Plok. She has to stay in the same room as Kom and Seup. It is difficult for Kom and Seup to remain insensible to Chompoo's attractiveness. They are all going to the beach. Many comic situations happen as some old men (Sukon Koewliam) want to try to seduce Kom and Seup. Rung and Kan are missing love as the grandmother hates men. Seup takes profit to be closer to Rung. Chompoo helps to kidnap the grandmother and asks for 500 000 baht ransom. Rung and her friends bring the ransom but then are also captured. Kom called the police before to warn them about the location. It seems that Choompu has been mislead. During the fight with ruffians, fake hair falls so Seup's real male identity is disclosed. Seup is actually an undercover police captain (ผู้กอง)! Three weddings including the three female characters can then happily happen! Somjit Sapsamruey dies before seeing her son again. Klao and his father Pramin Jarujareet take part in a truck robbery, but other ruffians led by Phan Kam double them. They use Lor Tok as a taxi driver. Metta is harassed at the exit of a nightclub, but Klao is helping her. Choomporn Theppitak is present also and knocks Klao. The head of ruffians Phan Kam believes Pramin was trying to double him, so cuts his hand to teach him a lesson. Pramin now uses a hook instead of his hand. The second son, Naprapong, is back from studying overseas and is captured by ruffians with the lawyer Tawan. The son is coming back for his father Kram's heritage. He shall also meet his fiancée Morakot. Phan Kam prepares a plan with a fake Morakot played by Preeya Roongrueng, but it fails. Klao finally meets the real Morakot (Petchara Chaowarat). Ruffians are confused as they thought they captured Klao but it is Naprapong. Meanwhile Klao plays Naprapong and falls in love with Morakot. Ruffians enter the house to clarify their confusion but shooting occurs. One ruffian is killed. Police arrive and the officer remembers Klao's face, but Klao claims it is a misunderstanding as he is Naprapong! Domestic helper Sisala Thongtara prevents Naprapong to be too close to Morakot as wedding has not happened yet. The lawyer Tawan wishes to check the contents of the safe, but Klao claims it is better to wait for the right day. Lor Tok requests money from Klao as Klao’s father, Pramin, is running out of cash. Klao tries to take money at nighttime from the safe, but Morakot prevents him. Klao discloses the truth to Morakot as he loves her sincerely. The remaining film ends up here.

Mitr rescues a young lady who is about to be drowned. Later on Mitr and his friend Adul mingle (จู๋จี๋) with those two ladies (Chadaporn Wachirapranee and another veteran actress). Petchara, aware of this, is disappointed by Mitr. Petchara’s blind grandmother is played by veteran actress Malee Wetpraseri. It is Petchara’s birthday. Adul changes the content of a gift offered by Mitr. It is a trick to spoil love between Mitr and Petchara as it starts to emerge. He then offers a proper gift to Petchara. Sawin prevents both of them to fight and asks Petchara to go back home. It seems that Chadaporn is unhappy with Sawin and asks him to push Petchara away from Mitr. Following a fishing trip, Sawin falls in the sea during a storm. Petchara and Dokdin need to find a job and then work as coolie in a construction site. Police officer Adul looks for them as it is found that Petchara is a descendant of a rich family. Sawin isn't dead. it seems he will cause issue to Petchara but love with Mitr will of course succeed. In this 1967 period, Petchara Chaowarat had short haircut. As usual with Dokdin Kanyaman’s movies, there is humour, action, romance and good feelings (happy ending).

Ayarawat has seen a beautiful lady in his dreams and want to see her in real. They disguise as commoners to see ladies in Paransee (พาราณสี) kingdom. Indian clothes style and music remind a little bit of Bollywood movies. Ayarawat imitates a blind Brahmin (พราหมณ์) and is named as Wipha (วิพาหะ). An earthquake (แผ่นดินไหว) disturbs a sacred (บูชา) ceremony. Daralai (เจ้าหญิง) receives help from Wipha to avoid crowd stampede. She stays with the commoners until the royal guards find her back. Wipha requests kisses to recover his sight view. There is love between Daralai and Wipha but she is promised to another man already. Katiya meets also another princess called Apasara (อาภัสรา). Daralai loves Wipha. She finally discovered that he is a King of a rival kingdom. She has to choose between love and fidelity to her own kingdom. She doesn't like Ayarawat's behavior. Ayarawat (อริยวรรต) is captured by Paransee kingdom's guards but is freed by his brother. Ayarawat kidnaps Daralai but his brother is captured. Ayarawat is hot temper. He is ready to a war with Paransee kingdom if his brother is not freed. To avoid a war between the two kingdoms, Daralai declares she doesn't love Ayarawat anymore in order that Ayarawat agrees to exchange her with Katiya. Finally Katiya gets freed by princess Apasara but doesn't come back on time to prevent the exchange. Disappointed by Daralai, Ayarawat decides to marry to Princess Apasara. Daralai is back but learning that Ayarawat has a new queen, she leaves. Understanding his mistake, Ayarawat decides to invade Paransee kingdom to get back Daralai. Ayarawat is injured and died when looking for Daralai. They are both reunited in heaven. Katiya becomes the new king.

A spirit Nang Fa Thani (นางฟ้าตานี) has done mistakes in the Gods heaven, so she is condemned to stay on earthy world and to live in a banana plant tree. She is fond in love with a man called Thap. Thap previously loved a lady called Theva. Nang Fa Thani used artifacts to get Thap's love. Thap faces issues with a group of bad people. Those, believing that Nang Fa Thani hides a treasure inside the banana tree, decide to cut the tree causing the death of Nang Fa Thani. She then becomes a powerful ghost called นางพรายตานี, chasing and killing those who have cut the banana tree. She then wants to stay with Thap but it is not possible as she is a ghost. Seeing the interest of Theva into Thap, she threathens to kill all villagers. She finally accepts her death following a monk's mediation.

Seven convicts (ผู้ต้องหา) are inside a van. Their van has a crash so they can successfully escape. They have all different characters, i. e. Dam Prasakorn (ดามพ์ ดัสกร) a car robber, Tong Bai (ทองใบ) a former traditional folk singer (พระเอกลิเก), Han Meuang Tong (หาญ เมืองทอง), Ai Meut (มืด ธรณี), Khom (คม) a tireless card player, Boonmee (บุญมี) a gunman (มือปืน), Phayak (พยัคฆ์). Police is chasing them so some of them are stealing motorbike, car or horse to flee away. Han Meuang Tong, son of a village headman (กำนันเหิน), is having issues with local mafia leader Saen (พ่อเลี้ยงแสน). Saen accuses Han Meuang to have killed his younger brother ten years ago. He wishes to take revenge and sends ruffians to kill him in his hotel. Paeng - 1960 cliche of small virtue lady featured with a cigarette - is supposed to seduce Han Meuang while Pol shall shoot him. It fails and Pol is captured by police thanks to Han Meuang and Thong Bai. Han Meuang's father is unhappy with his son (เสือร้าย) and wishes to kill him as he is now a convict (โจร). Soi (สร้อย), daughter of Saen, helps to hide Khom in her room and asks her father to recruit him. Sia (เสี่ยมังกร), another local mafia leader involved in illegal sawmills, wishes Han Meuang to join him but Saen's ruffians injure Han Meuang following a trap. Saen’s ruffians terrorize the villagers to find where Han Meuang is hiding. His sister is even kidnapped. Han Meuang needs to fight back (สู้). A mysterious masked leader (นายอนันต์) reunited the seven fugitives (7 พระกาฬ) together and also all Saen / Sia ruffians. He needs them for a secret mission. They need to get a cargo of weapons to be sold illegally. But police is aware and tries to catch them. There is a police spy within the seven guys (มีหนอนบนไส้). A police inspector is captured to find who the spy is. It is Dam Prasakorn (กรมสืบราชการ). The police inspector (สารวัตร) finally succeeds to flee and it is discovered that three of the former fugitives are working for the police. Han Meuang, wishing to help Thailand, helps to release them. Traitors to Thailand (ทรยศขายชาติ) shall be stopped. Many fights and shootings are happening between the four men and the traitors. Police intervenes also. Ruffians are all killed and their leader's helicopter is shot down by Han Meuang. Finally Han Meuang is an undercover soldier (กองทัพ) so he reconciles with his father. There is moralist ending as Tong Bai also surrenders to police and gives back the money left in a suitcase by the ruffians. This movie includes a mix of action and comedy. it features a beautifully restored colorful picture and lasts 2h21mn. It reminds of 1954 “Seven Samurai” Japanese movie or 1960 “The Magnificent Seven” American movie. Another Thai movie named “7 พระกาฬ” was released in 1983.

Other veteran actors playing in this Thai movie are Choomporn Theppitak, Adinan Singhira, Chadaporn Wachirapranee (playing the jealous lady as usual - นางอิจฉา). The trailer is short but enough to see a few fist fights with Mitr. It looks like a Thai western or western Tom Yum Thai movie. Chomphu's (Petchara Chaowarat) father has been killed so she changes her name to Sakira as the murderers are also looking for her expecting to get the heritage. Thewarat (Mitr Chaibancha) is always arguing with Chomphu. He even gets slapped by her the first time they met but when he wants to hit back, he is welcomed by fresh eggs thrown by Chomphu's friends. Director is famous veteran Phan Kam (พันคำ). In 1981 a remake was released with actress Supansa Nuengpirom. It seems to be based on the same story.

Malee plays the Cheut’s mother (คุณหญิงแม่). This movie was shot in two weeks only. Surayut-Chaiyayut Vetchayan received a salary of 8000 baht to play in this movie.

The doctor's mother (Malee Wetpraseri) also agrees. The doctor suspects that Maew is his own daughter with another woman called Amon. Mom Chan Phuangwan and Sukon Koewliam are domestic helpers in the doctor's house. They are playing relief comic characters. Preeya Roongrueng (แม่ใหม่) is now married to the doctor. She has a son called Pongsak (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and a daughter called Pla (Metta Roongrat). Kachen (Mitr Chaibancha), taxi driver being aggressed, is helped by Maew and Beum. Maew and Beum are not welcomed by Pla and her mother. The woman called Amon (Kingdao Daranee) is forced by ruffians. In front of the doctor, Preeya and Pla are polite but behind his back, they try everything to chase Maew and Beum from the house. Doctor Yot Kwan sees Amon in a taxi driven by Kachen. The doctor tries to prevent Amon to be beaten by her pimp called Mek. He gets some help from Kachen, who is then slightly injured. Thanks to his kindness, Kachen is authorized to come to the doctor's house whenever he wishes (ยินดีรันใช้). Pla and her mother continue to be hypocrites (หมั่นไส้ / ตอแหล) in front of the doctor and the grandmother. Saranee (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) uses Sarayut (Ruj Ronnapop) to seduce Pla. Somkuan Krajangsat is a policeman. The mother and daughter try to tease (แกล้ง) Maew by hiding jewelry under her bed. Phi Mek is close friend with Chadaporn. Their plan is to take pictures of Pla and Ruj in compromising situation and ask for money. Amon warns Maew. Amon warns also Pla but it is almost too late for Pla. Luckily Kachen arrives on time as Amon called the police. Kachen is a relative of Somkuan. Finally Amon dies in the arm of Maew as she refused to get any help believing she is bad person (ชั่ว). Preeya and Pla apologise for their behavior. The movie แมวเหมียว lasts 2h07mn.

Thai movie เหนือเกล้า was released in year 1967. It is in mute mode as the film is in 16mm format so requesting live dubbing. 1h33mn is left to be seen. It still has a colorful image but the film is partially damaged. Somjit (Somjit Sapsamruey) is working as food street vendor (แม่ค้า). Her husband (Somkuan Krajangsat) is often drunk and violent. They have three kids. They have always financial problems as the father drinks a lot. Years have passed and children have grown up. One of them is Mitr Chaibancha. The others are Chana Sriubon and Choomporn Theppitak. Sompong Phonmitr is head of Thai boxing training centre. Lor Tok is his assistant. One day as the drunkard father asks for money, he becomes violent again and Somjit has to protect herself with scissors. Through an accident, the father receives a fatal injury. Somjit ends up in jail. Mitr, Sompong and Lor Tok leave and look for job to find money to pay for Somjit’s bail. Mitr is recruited as Thai boxer. A first match versus Adinan Singhiran happens. Petchara Chaowarat and Dokdin Kanyaman are part of spectators. Mitr finally wins the match despite being told to lose it as he needs money to help his mother. As the match maker refuses to pay, it ends up in another fighting. Preuhat Boonlong decides to hire the three men to working in an outdoor mine. They got troubles with two men in the mine. Fed up the three friends wish to quit the job but Preuhat Boonlong convinces them to stay. The mine is attacked. Mitr pushes back the aggressors but is injured so getting the sympathy from Petchara. The mother is finally released from prison. Kingdao recruits her as domestic helper. Her boyfriend is Choomporn. Finally the mother is also reunited with Mitr. Another attack happens on the mine and Mitr is accused of murder. It ends up to trial. Scolded by his mother, Chana finally gives information that Mitr is not guilty. Ruffians wishing to take revenge on Chana and try to shoot him. The mother interposes herself and gets shot. Mitr and his brothers catch the ruffians. Movie ends up with everybody around the mother's bed at hospital. 34 stars are announced on the movie poster!

Lom Nao - ลมหนาว (1966) is a lost movie. Only the poster and the movie song are left. Luckily there are still 13 minutes 'behind the scene' sequences in black and white to be seen. Movie director is Phan Kam. It is a movie in which many famous Thai actors and actresses played, i.e. Mitr Chaibancha, Petchara Chaowarat, Aranya Namwong, Sor Asanajinda, Taksin Jampol, Adul Dulyarat, Dokdin Kanyaman, Lor Tok, Preeya Roongrueng, Kingdao Daranee. It was Aranya Namwong’s first movie. She was just awarded during a recent Miss Thailand beauty contest. An orchestra was used for the movie theme sung by Aranya Namwong. 16mm movies used a single camera for the shooting. Various sequences can be seen, i.e. Charin and Lor Tok helping Mitr Chaibancha and Taksin Jampol engaged in a fight with ruffians. Another sequence is involving Petchara Chaowarat wearing a beautiful dress and featuring the movie theme song. It is the dress that can be seen on the movie poster. A sequence of Charin and Aranya Namwong can be seen. Those sequences were recorded in 35mm format so that the original song was together with the movie reel. Other sequences are recorded in 16mm format so requesting a live dubbing. Other sequences feature Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat together on a small boat. A funny sequence with Dokdin Kanyaman singing can also be seen. Worth to notice that in real life Mitr Chaibancha and Kingdao Daranee were married. Petchara Chaowarat and Charin Nantanakorn married later in year 1975.

Thiyu, a gruff cowboy, falls from his horse as it is frightened by Thula’s car klaxon. So Thiyu meets with Kramon (กระหม่อม) Thula, member of Thai aristocracy. Thiyu also meets Saengson, who is Thula’s faithful admirer. Thula’s mother pushes her to meet rich bachelor Saengson as she has debt 2 millions baht due a failed automotive business. Thiyu's mother is dead. Pathet, his half brother, has already three wives, i.e. Kwanta, Pom and Puang. Kwanta is having an affair with Viwat, house attendant. Thiyu and Kwanta are former sweethearts (แฟน) but he broke up with her as she is only interested in money and has bad behavior (หัวใจชั่ว). Pathet saw a beautiful high society lady in Bangkok and wishes her to become another of his wives (เมียใหม่). This lady is Thula... The minor wives decide to help each other (ร่วมมือ). A friendship starts between Thiyu and Thula. Saengson wishes to marry Thula but Thula chases him away and reminds him to verify with his mum first! Rumors spread by Saengson's mother mention that Thula is bankrupted. Kwanta is pregnant and wishes to flee with Viwat. Viwat doesn't want to be responsible of this kid. Viwat resigns from his job (ลาออก). Pathet is infertile (เป็นหมัน) so others know Viwat is the father. There is an heritage issue as Thiyu never got anything when his father died. He now wishes to fight back for this heritage. Pathet offers a high salary to Thula and also offers to buy back the mother's debt. As Thula’s father dies in a plane crash in Hong Kong, she accepts Pathet’s offer believing it is a job offer only. Pathet believes his money will help him to get Thula’s love. So the new member in Pathet’s house is Thula! Thiyu is so surprised. Kwanta's parents complain to Pathet about her pregnancy. Kwanta claims Thiyu is the father! Thiyu has to accept to be the father. Both are upset. Pathet believes in money power (บูชาเงิน). There is a severe misunderstanding between Thula and Thiyu. Thula is upset Thiyu has hidden to her he has a pregnant wife already. Thiyu is upset Thula accepted to be Pathet's fourth wife. Pathet took his heritage now his love. It is more than he can endure. To make Pathet jealous, Pom and Puang claims that Thiyu and Thula love each other behind his back. His money cannot buy Thula's love and he starts to be violent with Kwanta and Puang. The house becomes a hell (เป็นนรก). Fed up being Pathet's slave, Thiyu forces Thula to flee with her. Thula is upset as it is not a situation matching her position (ฐานะหญิง). Pathet chases after them. Finally all misunderstandings are cleared between Thiyu and Thula. Pathet knows he cannot get Thula's love. Through a final gun duel with Thiyu, Pathet is shot by Puang. Pathet has paid for all the bad deeds he caused to others. It is a beautifully colorful remastered 2h22 movie.

นกแก้ว is a 1969 Thai movie in 16mm format with no sound. It was directed by Phan Kam, who directed more than 60 movies in his whole career. Only 1h10mn is left. Only the first and last film reels are left. So it is difficult to understand accurately the whole story. Prachuap Ruekyamdee is Petchara’s close friend. In a village on the countryside, Petchara Chaowarat catches Lor Tok trying to get fishes in their field. Sukon Koewliam is also having another comic role in the village. A grandfather in a wheel chair is talking to his son in Bangkok. As he is going old, he needs to prepare his succession. Petchara is his hidden granddaughter with another woman. The rich family siblings doesn't want her to receive anything. Anucha Rattanamarn is fiance with Kaenjai Meenakanit. They prepare a plan to disinherit Petchara. Mitr Chaibancha, the grandson, is offering flowers to the grandfather. There is a carnival in the village. Adul Dulyarat, a mysterious rich man, meets with Petchara. Petchara and Kaenchai meet also. She gives her a letter. What is inside the letter? Certainly a letter in which Petchara shall reject her rights to the heritage. Later on, Adul wants Petchara to sign a letter but she refuses so he slaps her. Adul threatens her mother to force Petchara to sign the letter. Meanwhile Mitr and Ruekyamdee enter secretly in the house where Petchara is held prisoner in order to help her. Shootings happen with ruffians but Thai police arrive on time to catch Adul. There is an important meeting to open heritage documents at the same time. Petchara arrives on time before the final signature! The grandfather was kept in the dark regarding Petchara by his own family but they all got arrested by police for forgery. Many movies names with Mitr and Petchara started with นก (bird) such as นกยูง (1969), นกแก้ว (1969), นกขมิ้น (1965) or นกน้อย (1964).

Thai movie ปีศาจดำ was released in year 1966. Main actor is Mitr Chaibancha and main actress is Petchara Chaowarat. The movie is lost in Thailand but a 8 minutes sequence remains to be seen at Thai Film Archives. Other actors are Chana Sriubon, Taksin Jampol, Kingdao Daranee, Anucha Ratanaman, Ruj Ronnapop, Kaenjai Meenakanit, Choomporn Theppitak. The 8 minutes sequence is divided into three small films. Two of the 3 small films still feature nice colors. It is out take sequences so scenes that were rejected in final release. Sequences allow to see Choomporn Theppitak fighting with Taksin Jampol, a Black and White scene of a man wearing black clothes and a mask, Mitr Chaibancha talking to เชาวน์ แคล่วคล่อง, Mitr Chaibancha being captured, Ruj - Taksin - Kingdao are seen. Thai movie ตัวต่อตัว was released in year 1966. Sombat Methanee is the main actor and Petchara Chaowarat is the main actress. This movie is lost in Thailand but a trailer of 3 minutes remain to be seen. No movie summary is left to be read. Only the poster! Other actors featured in this movie are Krai Kanchit, Taksin Jampol, Surasit Sattayawong, a veteran actress in sexy role, เพชร พิษณุ, Pramin Jarujareet (should play the bad guy as usual), จุ๋มจิ๋ม ศรทอง, ชาญ กัมปนาท, ประภาศรี เทพรักษา, เพลาพิลาศ โยธานันท์. Varun Chatkul At Ayutthaya (วรุณ ฉัตรกุล ณ อยุธยา) is the movie director. The trailer of this action movie shows fist fighting, shootings and spade fighting. As often in Thai action movies from 1960s decade, there is a masked justiciary.

Movie Operation Bangkok / เพชรตัดเพชร was released in year 1966 and lasts 1h50mn. It is a HK Thai co production managed by three film directors including Wichit Khunawut. Mitr Chaibancha meets Yot (Luechai Natnat). An exchange of suitcases happens over a bridge. Adinan Singhiran is Yot’s acolyte. Yot betrays Mitr and tries to keep the two suitcases. Shooting happens and Yot flees. Choomporn Theppitak is part of a gang led by Kecha Plianvithee. Yot belongs to the same gang also. Luechai arrives in Hong Kong. He meets Adul Dulyarat on a boat to exchange drugs against money. The drug is fake and he steals the money by punching Adul. He flees to Bangkok and escapes to Choomporn, who tries to shoot him with a long range rifle. Yot has betrayed (ทรยศ) Kecha. Yot meets singer Pai Lu (Hong Kong actress Regina Pai Ping) in the plane and sympathizes. Mitr disguises himself as Chat, a tough ruffian, to infiltrate Kecha’s gang. Chadaporn Wachirapranee is Chat’s old wife so he punches Sompol Kongsuwan to show he is back. Chao Klaewklong introduces Chat to Kecha. Kecha is looking for a new right-hand man (แขนขวาคนใหม่) as Yot betrayed him. Kecha wishes Chat to get rid of Yot. Ratsamee (Petchara Chaowarat) loves Yot but Yot also loves Pai Lu, who is in fact an undercover policewoman from Hong Kong. Ratsamee warns Yot that Adul is around looking for him. Pai Lu and Ratsamee escape from Adul but get arrested by policeman Lor Tok, who ignore they are from Interpol Police (ตำรวจสากล). A painting called เพชรตัดเพชร is purchased by Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit bidding against Kecha. Miss Boran (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is the sexy painter. Adul wishes to buy the jewel hidden in the painting but this one is now always worn by Miss Boran. The jewel contains a password (รหัด). Choomporn kills Miss Boran to get the jewel but Yot and his team steal it from him also. Pai Lu is surnamed HK 16. Mitr is surnamed BKK 38 (ตำรวจไทยเจ้าชู้อย่างนี้ทุกคนหรือค่ะ?). Mitr helps Pai Lu chased by two ruffians including Choomporn. Chat brings Pai Lu himself to Kecha. Understanding that she is an enemy (ศัตรู), she is condemned to be shot by Choomporn but Chat succeeds to charge the gun with blank bullets. Yot falls in a trap prepared by Adul to steal the diamond but it fails and Adul dies. Yot wishes to make peace with Kecha. Kecha wants only one right-arm man so both Chat and Yot have to fight against each other. Pai Lu and Petchara ask them to stop fighting. They are all captured by Kecha. Part of the movie is then lost here. Wilaiwan shots Ratsamee. Hopefully Pai Lu shots Wilaiwan and can help Ratsamee on time. Thai police attack the ruffians. All are killed or captured but Kecha succeeds to flee. Kecha refuses to surrender to the Thai police and prefers to explode his boat. The movie ends up on a sad note as Pai Lu has to leave Chat to go back back to Hong Kong, Ratsamee is separated from Yot as he has to go to jail. This movie is still available in Hong Kong under title 諜海蛟龍 and was shown on cable TV. The famous song of this movie is ดวงใจ by singer สวลี ผกาพันธุ์. This movie is one of the best confrontations between Thai superstars Mitr Chaibancha and Luechai Natnat. As it is a HK Thai co production, it is interesting to find that the Chinese version poster features Chinese actress Regina Pai Ping’s head in big size. Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat are displayed in small size. But the Thai poster displays more prominently Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat. In the Chinese synopsis, Mitr Chaibancha is written as mi-tsai- wan-chai (Thai detective No 78) and called as Ah Tsai in the movie. Regina Pai Ping (Hong Kong agent No 113) is called as Pai Lu in the movie. Petchara Chaowarat is written as Pi-chai-la and called as Sha Mei in the movie. The movie was so famous that it was released once in year 1966 and then reshown again in year 1975. The original version lasts 2h20mn but the 1975 version was reduced to less than 2 hours as both movies เพชรตัดเพชร and คนเหนือคน were shown together. The DVD released by company Pantamit is based on the 1975 version. It took five years for company Pantamit to convince the film owner to lend it in order to make a digital copy. Another film copy remains in the Thai Film archives.

A couple is catching and selling snakes in Chiang Sen. The husband wants to catch a huge white snake (งูขาว) living in a cavern. Local people don't want to help as this snake is supposed to be a local spirit (งูเจ้าแม่). This causes his death and his wife's death. Only the young baby survives. The young baby is saved by local villagers and called Boonleua. She is educated with a younger sister called Waen Fa (Petchara Chaowarat). The movie takes place in 2453. Many young people died mysteriously. Phrakit (Mitr Chaibancha) is sent by Bangkok centralized Thai administration to enquiry on the deaths. During Songkran festival, he met with Waen Fa. Boonleua likes Phrakit also a lot and asks Waen Fa to help her. Phrakit inquiried on the deceased corpses but in coffins, bodies have disappeared and be replaced by a snake. A ghost appears to challenge Phrakit. A necromancer announces that the snake spirit was supposed to stay in the cavern. As he is now roaming outside, the spirit is killing young people. The necromancer doesn't know in which body the spirit is hiding. It is in fact in Boonleua body. Boonleua hypnotizes her sister Waen Fa to catch a young girl. Villagers believe the spirit is hiding in Waen Fa's body and try to burn her. Phrakit tries to help but he is overcome by the villagers. Boonleua, possessed by the snake spirit, kills her father who tried to save Waen Fa. Only a monk can save them by confirming that Waen Fa is not possessed by the spirit. The monk confirms that Boonleua is the one to be possessed and asks Waen Fa to put a magic necklace around her neck to neutralize the spirit. Waen Fa has pity on her sister and asks her to promise stop killing people. She does promise but fails to do so. She seduces Phrakit same as Demon Mara tactics, hypnotizes Phrakit and brings him in her cave to stay as her husband. The second part of the movie is less interesting and is mainly a forward and backward chase between the snake spirit, Waen Fa and Prakit. This old movie has a new soundtrack but a damaged image. Colors are partially gone.

Thai movie พระอภัยมณี was released in year 1966 and lasts 1h50mn. Movie director is ครูรังสี ทัศนพยัคฆ์. It was released on VCD and DVD formats by company XxX (Triple X), owned by Khun Toh Pantamit. In year 1999, Toh Pantamit bought the 16mm film. In year 2000, the movie was digitized (15,000 THB per hour!). Then there is still a need to dub, add background music, find piphat original traditional music (ปี่). So it is very costly to release again old movies. The movie was shown in year 2001 in Sala Chalermkrung Theater for Mitr Chaibancha annual commemoration day. It was finally released under VCD and DVD in year 2002. This film is based on a story from Phra Aphai Mani, an epic poem by poet Sunthorn Phu. Actors and actresses include Mitr Chaibancha, Lor Tok, Sukon Koewliam, Adinan Singhiran, Petchara Chaowarat, Manee Maneewan (playing the mermaid), Kingdao Daranee, Sisala Thongtara, เปรมชัย ประภากร. Phra Aphai Manee (Kramon) and his brother Srisuwan come back to their hometown but their boat strands on a remote island. They come back from studying abroad. A lady giant ("YAK" - ยักษ์) abducts Kramon because he plays music so well that she loves him immediately. Kramon becomes her husband. The lady giant changes her shape into a beautiful lady and finally gets pregnant. A boy is born and is called Sinsamut. Kramon is missing his family and never gets full confidence from his giant wife who always closes the heavy stone door when going out of the cave to look for food. His son is human but with the strength of a giant. Following a scary nightmare, the lady giant goes to pray during three days in order to ease the gods. Meanwhile the son opens the door and both escape from the cavern. A beautiful mermaid and her parents bring them to a far island but the lady giant, after three days, chases after them. A local yogi helps them to chase the lady giant but she takes revenge by killing the mermaid's parents. A love story starts with the mermaid. She becomes pregnant also (she will have later a son called Sudsakorn but it is another story. Kramon becomes a monk to pay for his bad deeds. It is impossible to quit the island. One day, a boat is coming with a King and his daughter. Kramon decides to leave the island and brings his son to the kingdom. He promises to come back for the mermaid. On the way back, the lady giant sinks the boat. Kramon believes Sinsamut has drowned and he refuses to go back with his former wife despite her tears and longing requests as giants and humans cannot live together. She prefers to die instead of leaving him. Her heart breaks following sad music played by Kramon. He promises to live with her during next life when she will be reincarnated as a human. The son cannot prevent his mother’s death in time.

Sadet Phi and Nong Jing have a daughter called Sa No Noi (Petchara Chaowarat). She gets a golden house (เรือนทอง) as a gift. Astrologers predict her a great future. A demon follows the family and wishes to kidnap Sa No Noi. Sa No Noi needs to leave the kingdom. She meets an hermit, who gives a magical medicine (ยาวิเศษให้คนตายฟื้นได้). Sa No Noi is coming from a palace (ชาววัง ) so she is not used to harsh life. She helps a poor girl called Kula, who has been bitten by a snake. They need to steal food to eat. They arrive in a city where the prince (Chaiya Suriyun) is sleeping for 7 years. Sa No Noi helps to prepare the magical medicine to wake him up. As Sa No Noi doesn't feel well while the Prince is awakening, Kula changes her clothes and pretends to be the one who saves the Prince (พระราชบุตร). Sa No Noi is disappointed (น้อยใจ) with Kula as she saved her life before. She becomes Kula's servant. Kula refuses to give back the medicine to Sa No Noi. The Prince wishes to help Sa No Noi. This movie features typical characters from 1960s movies. The leading actress (นางเอก) is a nice polite shy princess coming from a good family lady. The jealous lady (นางอิจฉา) seduces men first, kisses them or is ready to make love immediately without waiting the wedding. She has no education. She is poor, lazy and deceitful. To try to prevent the wedding the family gives difficult tasks for Kula to do (flower composition...). Only a good educated lady can execute such tasks so Kula forces Sa No Noi to do it for her. The prince leaves the palace for a government mission but in fact he wishes to find Sa No Noi's golden house to prove her real identity. He faces a typhoon but finally reaches Sa No Noi's kingdom and brings back the house. Under Sa No Noi's guidance, the golden house become a real house with servants. Sa No Noi's real identity is revealed and she forgives Kula. On the way back to her kingdom with the Prince, their boat is wrecked and they are separated. The prince meets an hermit. Sa No Noi meets again Kula who plays a trick with her despite all of her previous goodness. A noble man called Wilai meets Kula. She lies to him pretending she is a princess. Meanwhile Sa No Noi has been rescued by Wilai's parents. Sa No Noi delivers a baby, whose father is the Prince. Kula kidnaps the baby. The baby is rescued by another hermit. The baby is called Paiwan. Kula is captured by some robbers and become the leader's wife. While Sa No Noi is going back home, her convoy is attacked by the ruffians. The Prince just comes back and helps on time. The whole family is reunited. Kula is punished and transformed as a cow. The story of Sa No Noi is part of Thai folklore. This story is also available through a TV Thai serie (1984) and many cartoons. This old movie last two hours and fifteen minutes. It has a very good and colorful image quality. The last part of the movie is certainly too fast paced as it is difficult to narrate such a long story in only two hours.

Chat Krathing (ชาติกระทิง) is a 1966 Thai movie but only 6mn30 are left. Only a trailer is left. The whole movie is lost as it is a 16mm format reel so it was certainly shown until it became unusable. No movie summary is currently available. Only a commercial movie poster is left. This movie features four big stars, i.e. Sombat Methanee, Luechai Natnat, Petchara Chaowarat and Sopha Sataporn. They are together for the first time and for the only time. Some ruffians harass veteran comic Sukon Koewliam. So Petchara Chaowarat protects him by hitting one of the ruffians. On next sequence, the ruffians speed through a village but this time they face Sombat Methanee. Fist fights happen. Romance between two couples Sopha / Luechai and Sombat / Petchara happen. Famous director Phan Kam (พันคำ) is there again. Luechai is part of the fight party. Movies with him are hard to find as his fame period was during 1957-1960, just before Mitr Chaibancha golden period, and then between 1964-1972. Scenario is unknown but certainly good guys (Sombat and Luechai) are fighting against ruffians terrorizing a village. Even veteran actor Chinese Boo Wibunnan can be seen in the short trailer. Actors Joomjim Khemlek, Lor Tok, Preeya Roongrueng, Kwanta Buapliensri are also mentioned in the credits but unfortunately cannot be seen in the short trailer left.

Thai movie Chum Hat Jai (ชุมทางหาดใหญ่), directed by Sor Asanajinda in year 1966, is lost in Thailand but luckily a sequence of 1h08mn (three last reels) is still left. It was stored in a museum of a Thai temple in the north of Thailand. Only incomplete summary is available. This movie is a mix of comedy, romance and action. This movie was shot in Songkhla area so showing how this southern city was fifty years ago. As the movie is in 16mm format, it requires live dubbing so the remaining extract is in mute state making it more difficult to understand. Sena Prachan (Mitr Chaibancha) is an army officer. Jing Gang (Petchara Chaowarat) is a fearsome young lady (ไม่กลัวใคร). Sena Prachan is pretending being crazy (อาคารเป็นบ้า) in order to spy Chao Likim's (Tawan Siriwat) activities. Ai Darling (foreign actress) is Chao Likim's daughter. Sena's kisses are able to calm down Ai Darling and also Jing Gang while he is investigating on ruffians. Many other characters are present such as Chanee Yotchai as ruffian, Ruj Ronnapop (Mayong), Sukon Koewliam, Choomporn Theppitak, Taksin Jampol (Bo Bang Rajan), Preeya Roongrueng, Adul Dulyarat (captain). Ai Darling and Jing gang fight over Sena Prachan. Tat (Tat Ekathat) is head of police. Mayong is shot facing seven ruffians. Chao Likim hits his own daughter considered as a traitor (ลูกสาวทรยศ). Sena Prachan helps but is also finally captured. Jing Gang’s parents are Somkuan (Somkuan Krajangsat) and Thanyong (Sarinthip Siriwan). Thanyong gets shot while helping Bo Bang Rajan, who is also an undercover military officer. Sor Asanajinda is also playing. A train is chased by a car and an helicopter through Songkhla region landscape. Somkuan, a repent (ผู้ร้ายที่จะกลับใจ), is forced by Chao Likim to be part of a prisoner exchange deal (แลกตัว) but he is carrying a bomb. Malee Wetpraseri, mother of Petchara, believes he is a dirty beggar and chases him away. It is a sad story. The movie entered Thai oscars competition on that year also. Prapayon (Preeya Roongrueng) wishes to marry Chai but this one has more interest in Koi (Petchara Chaowarat), Ekarin's second daughter. Chai's parents don't like Koi. In fact Chai doesn't approve elders’ decision to be enemies. Phi Pong (Adul Dulyarat) is Koi's elder brother but he has disappeared for many years. In fact Pong is hiding in Wang Prai as he is disfigured following a virus caught during war. Chai is helping him and ghosts rumors are only there to frighten anybody to come near Wang Prai. Chai's brother (Prachuap Ruekyamdee), a doctor, comes back to Thailand with a lady called Nathalie and her kid. They are Pong's family. 500 000 baht are needed to cure him. Koi and Chai succeed to find enough money by lying to elders. Pong is finally cured but elders refuse to allow weddings between Chai Phi / Koi and Chai Nong / Choompu. So the youngsters simulate fleeing and hide in Wang Prai. As the grandchild is about to fall from a cliff, the grandfathers help each other and regain friendship. Weddings are authorised. Narong loves Wan immediately. Yok is back twenty years later. Wan is her daughter. The family will lose the heritage to Yok Kaew except if Chaiyaporn resumes a relationship with Yok. Chaiyaporn finally understands that Soi Kam lied to him for many years. Soi Kam hires Chao Klaewklong to get rid of Yok and Yok Kaew...

Mom (Mom Chan Phuangwan) is Hirun's assistant. For Hirun, money is work and work is money. He has no feelings for his customers personal problems. Tu’s uncle wants him to take over his duty but Tu doesn't like such job bringing suffering to people (สงสาร) so that is why he has done artistic studies as it can bring happiness to people. He meets Kingkaew (Petchara Chaowarat), a vagabond. Wishing to help poor people and teased by Kingkaew, he proposes to bring the A-ram boys band (เด็กวัด) in Bangkok to play music in a nightclub. His uncle chases him away as he cancelled all debt contracts. Tum is chased also. Teacher (ครู) Rangsun (Charin Nantanakorn) will help writing songs for the band. There is a crazy lady (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) in Hirun's house looking for her children. Tum wonders if she is her mother or not. They arrive in Bangkok but have little money. They met a restaurant owner’s daughter (Chosri Misommon), willing to join them as a singer. Pa (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) is their house owner. They borrow 300 000 baht from Pa but Tu has to promise to marry her daughter (Orasa Isarangkul) Nataya. Pa knows that Tu is a potential rich heir. Lor Tok proposes ideas for their nightclub promotion. Tu’s concept is that art belongs to everybody. Hirun wants to be sure his nephews will fail so he hires ruffians to destroy their nightclub. The ruffians steal their money so Tu and his friends decide to serve and cook by themselves. Hirun comes on the opening day with a bunch of tough ruffians to make noise and also kidnap the performing girls. Indian actor Banglae (บังเละ) is acting as nightclub guard. Kingkaew always find solutions to problems occurring. The ruffians drunk the cook and waiters to delay orders. Hirun takes the teacher (ครู) Rangsun’s piano as he didn't pay his rent due to sickness. Adul Dulyarat is a doctor trying to save the teacher Rangsun. Hirun sends his ruffians to create a brawl in order to destroy the nightclub. Artist should be protected. The Thai King giving cinema awards inspires them not to stop fighting (ศีลปินไม่เคยตาย). By hazard, Tum and her friends have chance to release the crazy woman called Nat. Another uncle of Tu called Sompong is released from prison after twenty years. He narrates to Tu the story of his father betrayed by his own brother Hirun and who finally committed suicide. Nat is reunited with her two children, Tu and Tum. All the money of Hirun is coming from the one million baht that the father gave him to raise his children. They promise to take revenge on his 60th birthday coming soon. Hirun has to face the truth on his birthday turning to be a nightmare for him. He finally lost his whole fortune. The nightclub featuring arts becomes a huge success. This movie features 14 songs. A double DVD (3h20mn) including the 35mm movie fully restored was released by Thai Film Archives. The whole movie should even be a bit longer as the song หญ้าโลมดิน sung by Mitr and Petchara is missing. It is present on the VHS version and on a 16mm version left. Another movie version was released in year 1983. Two TV series were released in years 1997 and 2007. The producer is Prince หม่อมอุบล ยุคล. This movie includes more than 60 Thai actors, actresses and singers. Petchara got a Thai cinema reward for this movie. This movie is part of the second 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2012, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day.

He is injured by a young lady called Chalong (Petchara Chaowarat) believing he is a thief. Nobody knows his name and why he is coming here. His real name is Pen Moradok (Sombat Methanee). In fact he is sent by central government to neutralize a local mafia head called Salapan. Pen meets many girls, i.e. Chalong, Fong and Peri, owner of a bar who all love him. Pen receives a threat to leave city within 24 hours or face death. Fights happen between Pen and Salapan's ruffians. Peri dies when helping to fight the ruffians. Finally Salapan is captured and Pen wins Chalong's heart. It is a typical 1960s movie where the leading actor seduces many actresses (James Bond syndrome?). This is a very old Thai movie compared to Thai standards. The digitalization has been poorly done. The movie is only 15 fps and some scenes are strangely cut. It should be seen for historical purpose and enjoy the chance to see famous stars Petchara Chaowarat and Sombat Methanee acting. This movie follows the Thai traditional drama precepts with a clown always following the leading actor and the leading lady having a maid of honor.

Thai movie อ้อมอกดิน was released in year 1965. The DVD lasts 2h12mn. It features a sharp and very colorful image. A father is having financial debts. The father (Somkuan Krajangsat) has three kids (Oum, Ann, Oi) and his wife is sick. The father disappears while trying catching fish in the sea. The mother dies. A debtor claims back his money and seizes the house (บ้านถูกรื้อ). So local teacher (Lor Tok) takes the three children (เด็กกำพร้า) in his house. The teacher's wife uses them as her small slaves. Malee (Malee Wetpraseri) from Bangkok claims she wants to raise children so buys Oum and Ann from the teacher. She in fact uses them as street beggars. They flee and take refuge in a neighbouring house where the owner (Somjit Sapsamruey) and the domestic helper (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) receive them (เมตตา) despite opposition of the husband. The mother also brings the younger daughter to join them. 20 years passed. Oum is Mitr Chaibancha. Petchara Chaowarat is a doctor. Oum is still hoping his real father is alive. Ann likes parties (ไปเที่ยว) and meets bad people such as Krai and Kanya wishing to take advantage of rich people. Oi has a bad mindset and everything shall be due to her (ทำใจ). Oum is the only child working hard and helping the father in his company. The real father is back after 20 years passed in prison. He meets the local teacher. The teacher recommends not to disclose his real identity in order not to destroy the children's happiness. The father still wants to see his children. In Bangkok, while spying the house where the children live, he is mistaken as a beggar and mistreated by his own daughter. Only Oum has kindness for him. The stepfather welcomes him as gardener as he is nowhere to go. Ann is framed by Krai with Kanya in order to force a wedding. Krai and Kanya frames another man, Chai, who is Chadaporn's boyfriend. Chadaporn (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) and Krai are part of the same dishonest group of people. Oi chases her own father as he tries to prevent her seeing Chai. Oum hears the gardener praying so now knows he is his own real father. The real father tells Oum not to disclose his identity. Oum and the doctor shall marry. The doctor's father is the debtor, who took their home twenty years ago. Oum flees during the engagement ceremony. Ann tries to get big amount money from his mother but she refuses as no explanation is given by Ann. So Ann disappears. Oum is still upset and chases the doctor and her brother from his home. He slaps Oi lacking respect to the gardener, her own father. Seeing that issues between his children happen since he hired the gardener uncle Tam, the stepfather fires him. Uncle Tam helps Oi aggressed by Krai. Krai tries to steal money from the doctor's father by involving Ann. Shootings happen and Tam gets injured by protecting the doctor's father. The doctor saves his life. Seeing his children happy with the current family, Tam decides to ordain as a monk.

Thai movie เพชรน้ำผึ้ง was released in year 1965 and lasts 1h06mn only. It was released by Thai company Lepso under VCD format. Half of the movie is certainly lost. The end of the movie seems accelerated as probably half of the 24 frames per second in the 16mm film were damaged so Lepso removed them. It still features a colorful image. Cheut (Surasit Sattayawong) has a 500 000 THB debt. As he cannot pay back the debt, his son Chen (Sombat Methanee) accepts to work for Nai Dusit (สิงห์ มิลินทราศัย) for 20 years to pay the debt. Lampa (จุฑารัตน์ จินรัตน์), married to Surasit, had a child with Nai Dusit. ลูก Jun (Petchera Chaowarat) surnamed as Nam Pheung is missing her mum as she went to study overseas. Nai Dusit lies to her saying she is dead already. Ah has a mistress played by Kaenjai Meenakanit. เจ้าของไร่ meets Cheun but she dislikes him. Jun plays tricks to Chen to show her displeasure but she is the one being tricked. A friendship finally starts. Dusit wishes to get rid of Lampa, Jun's mother. Lampa is invited by Nai Dusit to see her daughter but it is a trick as Jun is replaced by Kaenjai Meenakanit. Kaenjai claims she dislikes her mother as she has a new husband. Shocked, the mother wanders nowhere and is almost crushed by a train. She is saved by Chen and Jun. Jun asks help from Chen as she wishes to meet her mother. Kaenjai and Ah have a plan against Jun and Chen. Kaenjai kisses Chen to have Jun upset and Ah promises to bring Jun to see her mother. It is a trick to rape Jun. Hopefully a man called Nam Ta Dao is here to help her. Dusit forbids Jun to leave her room (พ่อใจร้าย). Ah is shot as he misbehaved with Jun. Kaenjai holds Jun responsible of Ah's death so she tries to poison her. It fails as Chen comes to help her to escape. She warns Khun Dusit to prevent an escape. Chen is outnumbered and knocked out. Seeing his wife close to death, Cheut decides it is time to rebel against Nai Dusit and his men. Other villagers agree and join him. Fighting and shooting occur. A ruffian releases Chen and Sukon as he disagrees about Nai Dusit preventing a daughter to see her mother. Kaenjai tries to kill Jun but Nam Ta Dao, an undercover policeman, prevents her. Nai Dusit is captured by Chen and Cheut. Police arrests all the ruffians. The mother Lampa recovers. Chen and Jun declare their love to each other.

Somkuan is the father but he is blind after being injured during World War 2 so he has become a beggar. Another robbery is happening, but it turns badly.

Other actors and actresses are Mom Chan Phuangwan, Sukon Koewliam, Kingdao Daranee, Prachuap Ruekyamdee, Taksin Jampol, Lor Tok. During an online sequence of 1mn19s, it is possible to see Mitr Chaibancha and an actress having arguments with a group including Prachuap Ruekyamdee and then discussing altogether. Petchara Chaowarat is having short hair.

The movie name "ภูตพิศวาส" means "ghost love". Three young men students with suitcases are looking for a place to sleep. One of them is called Marut. They stay in a temple but the temple keeper asks them not to open door or windows at night time or go out if somebody calls them. Marut doesn't listen and sees a beautiful lady. In the morning one of the three students is found dead. There is two holes in the arm as if somebody sucked his blood (ผีดิบ). The next night sounds of a lady crying can be heard. Then in the morning the second friend is found dead also. According to the temple keeper, they die because of lying and unfaithful behavior with ladies. The temple keeper is a sorcerer (หมอผี) also. Marut meets Dao (Petchara Chaowarat), who is a ghost. A love story happens between human and ghost. Marut's mother wants to fiance him with a young lady called Buma (Preeya Roongrueng) coming from a rich family. The fiancee Buma is invasive and strongly encourages Marut to kiss her. Marut presents Dao, the ghost, to her mother, who faints when understanding that Dao is a ghost. Lor Tok plays an exorcist master (อาจารย์) again. The grandmother uses him to chase the ghost. Buma supports the idea. Marut wants to bring Dao back to life (เกิดใหม่) but other ghosts try to prevent this. Marut needs to pray every night one hour during 20 days, eat vegetarian (กินเจ), drop blood drops inside the food offered to Dao. Evil ghosts prevent Marut to free Dao but the temple keeper provides support. 20 days have passed. The temple keeper does a ceremony. Dao is now an human (เป็นคน). Issue with Buma arises. Following the kiss, she complains she is soiled (ตัวเสีย) as she wants to accelerate wedding date. The wedding happens but on the night before the wedding Dao becomes Marut's real wife. Buma wants to secure Marut's love by using magic spells so she contacts again the exorcist master. This one provides love filter (น้ำมันพราย). Buma wants to chase Dao. Marut accepts as Buma uses charm filter (ถูกเสน่ห์). Finally as Dao is pregnant with Marut and being already Marut's wife, Buma has to retreat and is finally arrested by police for colluding against Dao. This old movie has an image damaged but still colorful. It also has a new soundtrack as many 1960s movies were shot in 16mm without synchronised sound. It is a pleasure to watch Thai stars Chaiya Suriyun and legendary Petchara Chaowarat. Chaiya Suriyun received a Thai oscar (รางวัลตุ๊กตาทอง) for his best actor performance.

Thai movie หัวใจเถื่อน was released in year 1964. It features Mitr Chaibancha as main actor and Petchara Chaowarat as main actress. Other actor includes veteran Taksin Jampol. He tries to kidnap Petchara twice. The movie is lost in Thailand but a 8 minutes sequence is left to be seen. Other numerous performers are Lor Tok, Chana Sriubon, Kingdao Daranee, Yaowaret Nisakorn, Tat Ekathat, Somjit Sapsamruey, Op Boonthit, Sukon Koewliam, Malee Wetpraseri. It looks like an action movie. A few shooting sequences happen involving Mitr, Chana and Taksin. A few brawls happen with ruffians trying to kidnap Petchara. The company producing this movie belonged to Somjit and her husband Lor Tok.

Thai movie สมิงบ้านไร่ was released in year 1964 and lasts 2h12mn. It was never released in Thailand. The movie was lost except a last copy of the film saved in Thai Film Archives. The original film is probably much longer as some sequences are missing due to damaged film. It was restored and shown in Thai Film Archives to mark the 50th anniversary of Mitr Chibancha's death. Thai Film Archives screened and dubbed the movie a few times on their premises and uploaded it on YouTube in 2021 during the Covid 19 outbreak in Thailand. Movie director is Phan Kam. Ruffians are hitting an old man refusing their orders. Prachuap Ruekyamdee intervenes but gets outnumbered. Luckily, Saming (Mitr Chaibancha) chases the ruffians away. Nok Kiaw (Petchara Chaowarat), daughter of Mokasat (Phan Kam), and Saming love each other but they cannot marry as her father Mokasat despises Saming, protecting the villagers against ruffians. Mokasat uses his bad influence to get rich and always threatens villagers. Seua (Chao Klaewklong), working for Mokasat, wishes to get rid of Saming as he loves Nok Kiaw also. Saming cannot ask Nok Kiaw's hand as he needs to win for the sake of the villagers. It creates conflicts as Nok Kiaw cannot go against her own father's will. Won (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit), being stepmother, has difficulty winning Nok Kiaw's heart. Nok Kiaw is upset as Prachuap lacked respect for her while being drunk. Saman (Adul Dulyarat) arrives in the village and ruffians confuse him with Prachuap. Nam Peung (Boosara Narumit) helps with Sukholiem and Bab. Mokasat and Seua try to prevent Saming and Nok Kiaw from meeting, but ruffians are outnumbered. Angry, Mokasat asks his ruffians to destroy crops. Mokasat forbids his daughter Nok Kiaw to meet Saming again. Saming is upset and keeps drinking. Lady Bab asks uncle Sukon Koewliam to deliver a letter from Saming to Nok Kiaw. Sukon Koewliam is captured and tortured by the ruffians. He escapes to death. Saming promises revenge. While going to visit Nok Kiaw, Saming is captured by ruffians. Mokasat decides to send her daughter far away from the village to ensure she cannot meet Saming anymore. Ruffians come to the bar again but face a Thai boxing champion. Mokasat is upset that Saming is raising villagers against him. He asks Seua to find a strong hitman to fight against Saming and his team. Seua hires his friend Seua Tim (Chanee Yotchai). Seua Tim and his men terrorise the villagers. Meanwhile Saming has no news about Nok Kiaw. Won brings Saming to meet Nok Kiaw. Nok Kiaw is pregnant. For the sake of his future child, Saming agrees to stop opposing to Mokasat. Saming and Mokasat cannot reach agreement. Mokasat sees Won with a baby. Nobody dares to tell him it is Nok Kiaw's child. He wrongly believes Won has a lover and chases her. As Won takes refuge in Saming's house, Mokasat believes Saming is the lover and decides to storm his home. Fighting and shooting happen between the two groups. Police arrive. Being outnumbered, ruffians flee. Seua shots Mokasat. Before dying, Mokasat informs Won who shot him. Meanwhile Seua lies to Nok Kiaw in order to convince her to follow him. Seua Tim intervenes and shots Seua. He brings Nok Kiaw in the mountain, but Saming, aware though Won, chases them. Through an epic final fight, Saming gets rid of Seua Tim. Finally, it is revealed that Prachuap, Saman and the Thai boxer are undercover policemen.

Thai movie อวสานอินทรีแดง was released in year 1963. The movie under VCD format lasts 1h38mn. Parts of the movie are missing but it still has a colorful and sharp picture. Insee Daeng (Mitr Chaibancha) always provides useful information to the police inspector (สารวัตร). But one inspector called Chat still wishes to catch him. Tamrong (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) following a stage with Scotland Yard also wishes to capture Insee Daeng (อินทรีแดง). In public life Insee Daeng is Rom (Mitr Chaibancha), a journalist a bit coward and often drunk so that nobody could think both men are the same! Wassana (Petchara Chaowarat) is his journalist girlfriend. Chat is captured by an evil organisation (กลุ่ม Bodam) who tries to bribe him (พวกขายชาติ) but he refuses so gets imprisoned. The main police inspector and Song try to release Chat. Meuan gives the code to enter the house to them through coercion. They get captured also and meet Chomchai (Preeya Roongrueng) imprisoned by Phi Decha. Hopefully Insee Daeng helps them on time. Wassana gives support to Chomchai. Suthee (Yaowaret Nisakorn) is Tamrong’s sister. Tamrong fails to catch Insee Daeng. Meuan gets killed by one hitman from the organisation. As the hitman is caught by police inspector, the organisation also shots him to avoid he reveals any information to the police. Veteran comic actor Sithao Petcharoen as a photographer succeeds to take a picture of Insee Daeng without his mask (ชมหน้าอินทรีย์แดง). Insee Daeng fails to take back the film. Rom tries to get it back from the newspapers but Decha steals it first. Chomchai is captured back by Bodam organisation. Rom fails to get the film back from Decha as he is lying mentioning he is part of Bodam. Bodam now thinks Rom could be Insee Daeng as he is putting so much efforts to get back the film. Insee Daeng finally escapes from the ruffians and Daeng meets miss TinYong (Wanna SaengChanThip) from Hong Kong. She tries to persuade him to join Bodam organisation. Finally Insee Daeng steals the film back from Tamrong following a fist fighting. Tamrong suspects Rom could be Insee Daeng as he has many bruises supposed to be due to a fall in the stairs. Rom simulates a love story with TinYong to enter in Bodam organisation's hidden place. Police is warned also. Wassana frees TinYong seen as traitor, Suthee and Chomchai attached to a pile of dynamite. Once again, Insee Daeng helps Tamrong stuck in difficult situations. Once the ruffians are defeated, the corpse of Insee Daeng is found by Tamrong. Of course, it is only a simulacre put in place by Rom to ensure Tamrong stop looking for him.

ดอกหญ้า is a Thai movie released in year 1962 with Petchara Chaowarat as main actress and Chana Sriubon as main actor. The movie is lost in Thailand and only a 47 seconds sequence remains to be seen. During this short sequence Petchara is discussing with a middle age man. A nanny is then carrying a baby. The sequence still has a colorful image. The partial story is a below. Siriporn (Petchara Chaowarat) is a 16 years old orphan girl living with her grandfather in Chumporn. The grandfather is a gardener. Siriporn sells the garden fruits on the local market. She meets Ms Nanthaka who sends her to study in Bangkok. Reuang Sak (Chana Sriubon) is neighbour of Ms Nanthaka. Ms Nanthaka wishes Reuang Sak to marry her daughter but Reuang Sak loves Siriporn so they get lovers before he is sent to study overseas. Ms Nanthaka’s husband is a nice guy but his wife is selfish. Siriporn gets a baby with Reuang Sak. The man with the gun on the poster is the man who raised Siriporn since her youth.

Countryside young lady Pim lives with her grandmother. Pim Chawee and boyfriend Athon love each other (ใจเดียว). Athon needs money to go to study overseas. She gives him all her money and even a family golden brooch to sell. She becomes her wife before his departure. Abroad Athon keeps asking money to Pim. Pim is now pregnant. Lung, Athon's father, needs to arrange a fake wedding (รับเป็นเมีย) for Pim with local villager Chaoson in order that her child gets a temporary father. Pim is concerned about Athon's reaction if he learns this but she believes she should be able to explain to him. Being a single mother would the shame on her and her grandmother. The baby is born. Kratin, Athon's sister, loves secretly Chaoson and is upset by this situation. Athon's father and Kratin go to Bangkok to welcome Athon at the airport but Pim cannot come as the father refuses to pay the ticket for her. Chaoson finally brings her at airport. Athon arrives accompanied with another young lady. His father lies mentioning that the child is Chaoson's child. Back to the village as Athon and his family refuses to recognize the child and Pim, the grandmother threatens to disclose the love letters if they refuse to give back the money used to finance Athon's studies. Finally Athon accepts but Pim shall stay in countryside and cannot go to Bangkok with him. Athon has his new fiancee Taemduang there... Pim visits her to explain she is Athon's wife already but she has no proof (ไม่มีหลักฐาน) to back up her statement except a small book that she leaves for Taemduang to read. Athon doesn't believe Pim, trusts his father and even slaps Pim as she is bringing trouble with Taemduang. Chaoson proposes to take care of Pim but she cannot accept as she still loves Athon and knows that Athon's sister, Kratin, loves Chaoson. Taemduang and her mother visit Athon's family on countryside but Taemduang is a city girl so she cannot match well with the place. Taemduang's mother wants Athon to clarify about his relationship with Pim. Athon asks Pim to declare that there is nothing between them but she refuses. As Athon becomes angry, a fight occurs with Chaoson. A pawnshop owner now asks Pim and her grandmother to pay their debt. If not they will be expelled from their home. Pim has no choice than to ask Athon to help and to accept his request. Before Athon and Pim can find an agreement, Taemduang refuses to give any money to Pim. Pim decides to hang herself. Hopefully Phi Sanoo, a local rich man, prevents her to die and promises to help. Sanoo fails to be here when the pawnshop owner claims the house back. He finally comes back and installs Pim in a beautiful house. Meanwhile Taemduang is trying to seduce Sanoo as he is richer than Athon! Finally Duang and her mother perjury is disclosed and they end in prison. Athon's father becomes crazy. Athon wishes to leave Pim again as he is not a good man and doesn't deserve Pim's compassion and forgiving. Finally couples Pim / Athon and Chaoson / Kratin can have happiness together. This film is Petchara Chaowarat’s first movie. It is an old movie beautifully restored and colorful. There are 1960s stereotypes actresses roles such as the jealous girlfriend (นางอิจฉา) smoking, wearing sexy clothes versus the pure leading actress (นางเอก).

Khun Thongdee inherits from his older sick wife. He prevents her to do a proper legacy document for her son in order to get everything for him. Pradap is the son. He is married to Mae Pin. They have two children น้อง Lin and น้อง Pai. Thongdee tries to abuse Mae Pin (คนสวย) but she fights back. As she refuses to become his mistress, he asks them to leave his home (ไล่) as he is the sole beneficiary according to law. As a revenge, Pradap throws some poison in his eyes to make him blind but is sent to prison for a few years. Mae Pin and her children take refuge in Pradap's mother home. The mother Mae Pin is becoming crippled (ง่อย) as she cannot use her legs anymore. They cannot stay at the grandma’s home as she doesn't like useless people. They buy a boat and look for a doctor. They find some charlatans such a useless doctor played by comedian Lor Tok. The movie highlights children gratitude (กตัญญู) towards their mother. Pai is sold as domestic helper to rich people in order to get money to pay for her mum medicine. Thanks to Lin's promise to ordain and the power of gratitude, the mother recovers magically from the disease. Many years have passed. The father is released from prison. Children are now grown up. Lin is played by actress Petchara Chaowarat. Anoo, her close friend, is played by actor Prachuap Ruekyamdee. Anoo introduces young man called Ponthet to Lin. Finally they marry. Lin's father is sick but Ponthet’s family is avaricious. The father is the owner of a casino. He tries to abuse Lin. Ponthet (นักเลงการพนัน) doesn't believe Lin and thinks she is trying to get the full heritage. She goes back home. This event causes her father to die. Lin delivers a child called Anout. Ponthet comes back promising he has changed but he is still gambling a lot (สนามม้า). Finally Lin leaves him again. As Ponthet has no money, Lin finally accepts his return for the good sake of her daughter. But he hasn't changed. He even steals pocket money of his daughter to gamble. Being chased from home, he refuses to divorce and continue to harass Lin outside of her home. Lin wishes to die. Khun Chakrik (Adul Dulyarat) helps Lin two times against Ponthet. A romance starts between them. Chakrik transforms Lin into a cinema star. Ponthet is now living a full ruffian life. Following a failed robbery, Ponthet and his ruffians take refuge in a house to escape to the police. Accidentally Anout and her baby sitter also take refuge in this house to avoid lost bullets. The ruffian leader uses Anout as a protection. Ponthet uses his own body to protect Anout from bullets and dies. Lin and Chakrik can now have happiness. This 50 years old movie is still in pretty good condition for an old Thai 16mm movie and colors are still radiant.

Thai movie ดอกแก้ว was released in year 1962. It features Petchara Chaowarat as main actress and Adul Dulyarat / Chaiya Suriyun as main actors. The movie was produced by กุหลาบทิพย์ ภาพยนตร์ (Celestial Rose Movies). The movie is lost in Thailand but a sequence of twelve minutes is left to be seen. Other actors and actresses are Chao Klaewklong , วิชิต ไวงาน, เมืองเริง ปัทมินทร์. A man (Somkuan Krajangsat) is found dead. He has been shot by a ruffian. Adinan tries to protect him but he is also shot. It looks like there is a testament left behind. Next sequence shows Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit and Adinan Singhiran, who is injured. Wilaiwan is holding a baby. Adinan dies so Wilaiwan flees with the baby but meets robbers. Shootings happens with the Police. The robbers’ leader protects Wilaiwan. Next sequence shows Taksin Jampol and Petchara as mountain people. Maybe Petchara was the baby seen in the earlier part of the movie. While going to the city, Taksin and Petchara give a hand to Adul being aggressed by ruffians. Next sequence shows Chaiya and Sarinthip Siriwan. It looks like Adul and Chaiya are brothers. Petchara is now living in a nice house and wears beautiful clothes. Taksin is upset that Chaiya and Petchara are friends. Chaiya helps Petchara aggressed while taking care of a baby. Petchara uses a gun to protect Taksin also being threatened by a ruffian. A remake of ดอกแก้ว was released in year 1981 and featured Sorapong Chatree. At that time Dok Kaew was a famous movie and was projected as same time บันทึกรักพิมพ์ฉวี. Having two famous actors such as Mitr and Chaiya helped to boost Petchara’s career.
