Thai movie โปลิศจับขโมย was released in 1981 and lasts 1h51mn. This Thai movie was not released under VCD format. It was also released in Sweden in VHS format under the name "POLISEN TAR EN RÖVARE". The comedy movie was remastered in the 2010s. It was shown on cable TV Thai PBS. The movie director is วีรประวัติ วงศ์พัวพันธุ์. Cha (Sorapong Chatree) is captured by police head Thuam Thoranong and is brought to jail. A head of ruffians is checking the people looking for previous stones in an outdoor mine. Uncle Krong Kangkengdaeng and his young daughter Piyamas Monayakol find a big stone (พลอย). They decide to sell it secretly to avoid giving half of the value to the head of ruffians. Mistress Oon (Suphanee Jitthieng) meets with uncle Poonsawat Teemakorn, the owner of a jewelry store. The uncle is married to Chosri Misommon already. Cha is finally released from the prison. Many people, including Janthana Siriporn and Oon, are waiting for him to propose some illegal activities, but Cha is fed up with robbery (ปล้น). Young lady Ampha Pusit is also looking for Cha, but she arrives too late. Montri (มนตรี เจนอักษร) is playing a policeman always chasing Cha, but unable to get results. Attracted by Oon, being a former girlfriend, Cha follows her and accepts a job proposal. The job is to rob uncle Poonsawat’s jewellery store. The robbery is a success, but the stones are fake. Cha believes he has been misled by Oon. Oon explains to him that she had a deal with uncle Poonsawat. The real gems are safe and uncle Poonsawat can get money from the insurance company. Oon wishes to hire Cha for another job. Comic actor Prinja (ปริญญา สุขชิต - เป็ดน้อย) is playing a policeman making secret weapons. Aware of the big gem found by the uncle and his daughter through uncle Poonsawat, Oon and Cha hijack the travel bus. The uncle swallows the gem so Oon cannot find it despite checking their bodies. Policeman Montri fails again to help them properly. The head of the Police decides to fire Montri and he assigns Der Doksadao to protect the uncle and his daughter until the uncle has given back the gem through natural ways… Being demoted by the head police officer, Montri and Prinja collaborate to catch the thieves. A part of the movie is missing here. Montri and Prinja are seen chasing Cha and Oon disguised as Indian characters. Cha and Oon finally succeed to escape after a car chase. Uncle Krong gets operated in the hospital to remove the gem from his belly. Oon and Cha succeed in stealing the gem from the hospital. While fleeing, Oon gets rid of Cha. Cha and Montree decide to work together to recover the gem. Sithao Petcharoen, as an Arabic buyer, is interested to buy the gem. Sithao changes the real gem to a fake gem while Oon is arguing with Poonsawat. Cha is aware of the stratagem and plans to rob Sithao at nighttime. It is a success, but Oon and his thugs are chasing Cha and his friends. Oon and his thugs are neutralized. It is disclosed that Cha is a policeman, son of police head Thuam Thoranong, and his fiancee is Ampha Pusit!
