Thai movie อยุธยาที่ข้ารัก / The last day of Ayudhya was released in year 1979 and lasts 2h18mn. The movie features many songs. The Thai chief soldier (Tawan Siriwat) is a traitor. Young lady Lam Duan (พนิดา ทองทัต) helps the Thai King (Surasit Sattayawong) to flee. Ayutthaya city is burnt and destroyed as the traitor opens the door to Burmese soldiers. Resistance is on. Lam Duan and her husband Reuang (Yodchai Meksuwan) try to kill the Burmese King but they fail and are sentenced to death. They promise to love each other every life (ทุกชาติ) and to kill the Thai traitor. 200 years have passed. Lam Duan is reborn under MouMou’s name. Reuang is reborn under Decha’s name. Sulaleewan Suwanthat is playing MouMou’s mother. Dam (Pipop Pupinyo) kidnaps the subdistrict headman’s daughter. Decha (Yodchai Meksuwan) likes painting and falls for Noi (Pawana Chanajit), a good heart prostitute. Decha is hired (นับสืบ) by a rich lady (Somjit Sapsamruey) to find her lost granddaughter (หลานสาวเศรษฐี). Dam buys a young lady called MouMou (พนิดา ทองทัต) for 3 nights from her parents but she refuses and escape after hitting Dam. Decha finally helps her but she doesn't trust believing he is another rapist. They take refuge in a cave. At nighttime, Decha dreams that MouMou is Noi and makes love to her. He promises to be responsible of his acts. Chased by Dam's ruffians including Pan Borapet, MouMou splits with Decha to attract the ruffians. She is unfortunately shot by ruffians and falls from a cliff. Toon (Lor Tok) is Decha's assistant. Lor Tok as medium (คนทรง) convinces the grandmother that Noi is her lost granddaughter. If Decha marries Noi, lost granddaughter, then they will have 1M baht to share! On the wedding day, MouMou is back. She wants to get her husband Decha back. Krung was the one to rescue MouMou when she falls from the cliff. He wishes to marry her but she refuses as she loves Decha, her husband in this life and previous life as Reuang. In order not to lose 1M baht, Noi has to accept to share Decha with MouMou. One day in alternance (โควตา) but jealousy makes it impossible to happen. Krung Srivilai has finally a small role in this movie but he is displayed on the poster as the main actor. Decha and Noi plan to send MouMou to a psychiatric hospital. She rebels and when facing Tawan Siriwat, she reminds he was the traitor in Ayutthaya and stabs him. The rich lady realises that her missed granddaughter is MouMou and not Noi! MouMou flees and reaches Ayutthaya. There, disappointed by life, she becomes a nun.

Thai movie เลือดทมิฬ was released in year 1979 and lasts 2h04mn. The movie was never released in Thailand but a VHS with Swedish subtitles was released in decade 1980s in Sweden. This movie was also shown on Thai TV cable under a 1h32mn short version. Movie director is Pisarn Akraseranee. Movie starts with a speech about Thai soldiers protecting Thailand, Buddhism, the King and sacrificing their life to perform their duty. Da (Lak Apichat), Tong (Pisarn Akraseranee), Witoon (Witoon Karuna) are three soldiers and friends. The three friends end up in a bar during a recreation. Da fight against Wang (Pipop Pupinyo) regarding a lady. Tong is back to countryside to meet his parents Sor Asanajinda, Somjit Sapsamruey and his sister Prang. He meets Song (Naowarat Yooktanun), daughter of local mafia leader (เจ้าพ่อ) Boonleut. Boonleut wishes to get their land. Yord (Manop Aussawathep) is used as ruffian to force them. Yot (จีรศักดิ์ ปิ่นสุวรรณ) is another tough guy working for Boonleut. Sri Thong has become Yot's wife but she still loves Tong as she was forced by Yot. Today is Naowarat's birthday party. Upset that Sri Thong told the truth to Tong, Yot decides to send her working to a brothel (เข้าซ่อง). Sri Tong hangs herself following multiple rapes by Yot's men. While Tong is guarding Sri Thong's body, Boonleut, Yot and his men storm Tong's home, killing his parents and raping Prang. Tong kills two men and is now aware that Boonleut, Yot and Yord are behind. Police cannot help. Tong refuses to incinerate his parents' bodies until he has done justice himself. Prang, following shame and her parents' death, also hangs herself. Tong's life is in havoc. Tong wishes to revenge. He storms the ruffians' place and axes many of them. He then chases Yord by car and speed boat but Boonleut and his men embuscade him. Tong escapes death as police arrives at the right time. Tong flees from hospital and takes refuge in North of Thailand in Da's home. Da, Tong and Witoon are back with war weapons. They storm the ruffians' home and perform a rampage. Yot is hanged by Tong. Tong loses sanity as he shoots unarmed members of Boonleut. Yord is also killed and Song, Boonleut’s daughter, is captured. Tong behaves badly with Song (เหมือนคนบ้า, สัตว์นรก, ไม่ใช่คน) but finally recognizes he is wrong as she is not responsible of her father’s behavior. Song understands Tong and flees with him. Romance start between Tong and Song. Meanwhile police is chasing them as Boonleut believes Tong forces his daughter to follow him. About to be captured by Police, Thong asks Song to shoot him as he doesn’t want to end up all his life in jail. Song follows him… เลือดทมิฬ is a powerful and violent movie.

Thai movie แม่นาคพระโขนง was released in year 1978 and lasts 1h50mn. Preeya Roongrueng already played Mae Nak role in year 1959. She remained the most famous actress for this role. The 1959 version was very successful. It made more than 1M Baht in 1959, i.e. a huge amount for that period. So for this 1978 version, the movie director reused Preeya Roongrueng again hoping for a similar success. But 19 years have passed. In 1959 Preeya was 19 years old. For 1978 version, she was 38 years old. Preeya mentioned she was getting fatter for the role but it didn't matter as she was playing a ghost! The 1978 movie trailer is also making a reference to the 1959 version. It is Thot Kathin festival (ทอดกฐิน) so lady Somjit Sapsamruey is coming with her two daughters, i.e. Nak and Jampee (ตรีสุคนธ์ ยุกตะนันท์). Phi Mak (Sombat Methanee) and his younger brother Man (Somphob Benjatikul) love the same woman Nak (Preeya Roongrueng). Tui (Rong Kaomulkadee) is playing comic role as usual. Man loves Nak despite she is older than him. Pleum, subdistrict headman’s son (ลูกกำนัน), has also interest into Nak. Mak asks Nak for wedding. Disappointed, his brother Man leaves for Bangkok to work there. Nak is pregnant since 2 months. Mak has to leave for Bangkok as he was selected to do his military duty as a soldier. Pleum (Dam Datsakorn) comes to harass Nak but Man is helping her. Naowarat Yooktanun, daughter of officer (นายทหาร), likes Mak but he misses his wife (ห่วงเมีย) and wishes to go home. While delivering, Nak dies (ตายทั้งกลม). Comic actor Thep Thienchai is present at the funerals. A master (อาจารย์) tries to get chin oil but he just makes Nak angry and gets strangled. Nak is upset that Naowarat has interest into Mak. Uten Boonyong wants to hire master Lor Tok to get rid of Nak. It is a complete failure as Lor Tok flees away. At nighttime, Pleum faces Nak. Mak is back home. Things get weird with Mak seeing Nak’s arm extension to reach a lemon fallen under the house, food having pla ra taste, baby having Songthong face... Realising she is a ghost (ผี), Mak flees from home and goes to Man's home. Man explains what happened to Mak. They take refuge in the village Buddhist temple. A new master is called and warns that Nak is very powerful (วิญญาณดู่มาก). To neutralize Nak, the master gives a sacred thread to put around her neck. The master captures her spirit into a pot sealed with a sacred cloth. She has to accept her death (หมดเวรหมดกรรม). Mak promises to meet her during next life. The pot is thrown away in the river.

At the Thai border, Sonny's parents are killed by ruffians. He promises to take revenge. He gets a training in a martial arts camp. Sonny (Sonny Chiba) is now an adult. His master is assassinated by Sam, a former disciple. Sonny finds him but gets defeated. While being seriously injured, he is cured by a young hill tribe lady called Lipa (Etsuko Shihomi). Krung (Krung Srivilai) arrives to Bangkok by airplane. He has a meeting in Pattaya to deliver some diamonds. The ruffians try to double him through a mysterious man called Mr Chan in Hong Kong. The ruffians leader tries to put a beautiful Chinese girl in Krung’s way but it is not enough. Krung flees away with the drug and money but gets severely injured. Naowarat Yooktanun has also a small role and is taking care of Krung while he is sick. Krung has been separated with his mother (Somjit Sapsamruey) twenty years ago. Meanwhile the ruffians team leader tortures a policeman (Tadashi Yamashita) but the head of the organisation prevents his thugs to kill him. Sonny helps him to flee. Some ruffians are looking for troubles with Sonny. Krung comes back to help Tadashi and releases him. While fleeing through a daring operation including parasailing, Krung gets shot by the head of the organisation. Sonny is now living in a Buddhist temple. He is using electrical training device and needs to eat weird white powder to always calm down. Sonny and the policeman Tadashi get friends. Accelerated electrical shots are used by Sonny as a training in order to improve his muscles reactivity. Lipa (Etsuko Shihomi), young hill tribe lady, is killed while he is away. Sonny and the policeman storm the ruffians island. The old master was in fact the mastermind. The head of the organisation is defeated through a final fight involving Sonny and Tadashi. Without drug to calm down, Sonny finally dies also. This movie is a Hong Kong / Thai / Japan co production and it was released in year 1977. Thai name is สองเสือใจสิงห์. English name is “In the soul of Chiba” or “Soul of Bruce lee”. The scenario is bit confusing to follow up but people looking for Sonny Chiba’s action scenes won’t be disappointed.

Thai movie นายอำเภอใจเพชร was released in year 1975. The movie is lost in Thailand. A twelve minutes sequence in bad state can still be seen. Other actors not seen in the remaining sequence include โดม, Krai Kanchit, อัมรัตน์, Somjit Sapsamruey, Sawin Sawangrat, จรัสศรี, หมี. The new chief district officer wishes to clean the district and to get rid of the dark influence. He is getting support from local people. The chief district officer (Nard Poowanai) just arrives in his new district. He visits his subordinates including Tanyarat Lohanan working in school and invites them for introduction lunch. Pipop Pupinyo being around with other ruffians warns the new chief district officer that real power (อำนาจ) is with weapons here. Later on while Pipop is busy with a young lady played by Orasa Isarangkul, he gets warned by corrupt policeman that this new chief district officer is different. Pipop promises to manage him. During the introductory lunch, the new chief district officer scolds many of his subordinates for not being dedicated to their job and to local citizens. Sukon Koewliam, Choomporn Theppitak, Lak Apichat are part of the guests. Dam Datsakorn, Pipop and two other ruffians arrive and invite themselves to the party. As they are looking for troubles, the chief district officer removes his shirt and insignia to give a boxing lesson to Dam. The remaining sequence stops here. Even when Nard Poowanai became real government officer as assistant district officer (ปลัดอำเภอ), Thai people still refers to him as chief district officer (นายอำเภอ) as this movie was really very famous and popular.

Thai movie ประทีป อธิษฐาน was released in year 1974. It lasts 1h57mn. It was shown on Thai TV cable. Pan (Pawana Chanajit) and Kalan (Uten Boonyong) meet during Loi Krathong. Kalan announces to her that he is her future boss as Hotel manager! Chosri Misommon is Pan's aunt. She always asks for money as she keeps gambling. Pan's mother had a lover as her husband didn't take care of her and her daughter. Upset, the husband wished to bring her to her lover for clarification but a car accident happened on the way and both died. So Pan stayed with her aunt. Sek (Suriya Chinaphan) loves Pan and always does courtship her as a gentleman. Kalan's mother is played by Somjit Sapsamruey. Somjit introduced Da (Runglawan Sripatimakul) to Kalan and wishes for a wedding. The mother believes Pan cannot be trust as cashier as her aunt Chosri is a big spender (การพนัน). Aunt Chosri ends up in jail. While nobody wants to be the guarantor, Kalan offers the money to bail her out. Pan is promoted to manager assistant (ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการ). Karun (Sayan Chantaraviboon), the second son, is back from overseas but he has heart disease. He likes Pan also. An American tourist is always trying to seduce her also. So four men have hopes on her. Finally she marries Karun. The aunt gets a big amount of money (ใช้หนี้). She knows she doesn't love him. Karun is unable to perform husband duties per a congenital disease. Kalan was former lover of Pan's mother but Kalan confirms it was a platonic love. Smoking scenes and love scenes are blurred. Pushed back by Kalan, Da goes with Lak Apichat to Hua Hin. They become lovers. Karun, being over jealous on Pan, ends up at hospital. Kalan decides to marry with Da to avoid any more jealousy crisis. Unfortunately fightings happen at Kalan's wedding as Karun sees Pan talking to Sek. Pan flees. Kalan announces to Da that he cannot love her as he knows she is pregnant with somebody else (Lak). Kalan finally finds back Pan. Meanwhile Karun is getting crazy and even shoots two people at night believing it was Kalan and Pan. Being a bad girl, Da quits Kalan. Finally Kalan and Pan can have happiness. This is a romantic drama from 1970s with much more realistic story compared to 1960s decade movies.

Seum teaches Nim to play music with old instrument. Seum is Nim’s first love. This movie highlights the dilemma between a chosen marriage by parents and children’s own love choice.

This 1974 movie “แสบเข้าไปถึงทรวง” is lost in Thailand but is still available in Malaysia under the title “Dendam Perawan” / “Vengeance” as it features a Thai Malaysian actress (Lakshmi Pensaengdeuan - ลักษมี เพ็ญแสงเดือน). Summary might be a bit inaccurate as the movie is dubbed in Malaysian only. Yodchai (Yodchai Meksuwan) is fiancee together with a young Malaysian lady called Ning. Dam (Dam Datsakorn) sees the jewels offered as gifts. Dam, being the fiancee's sister, decides to rob the jewels and kills the middle age lady to succeed. A little boy sees him but he is thrown across the stairs. The mother has time to write the murderer name with her blood. Ning does her enquiry inside Bangkok low cost hotels to find Dam. She is able to drive fast car, knock out ruffians and throw knife. She finds Dam's house but he is not here. Fighting happens with ruffians but Yodchai comes to help on time. Ning goes to Malaysia to continue the investigation. Her friend is a pilot and loves her secretly. Dam is aware that Ning is looking for him. The pilot finally starts a romance with another Malaysian lady. Dam's ruffians try to stop her. They get beaten one by one! Finally they find Dam's secret home. Following violent fighting, Ning and Yodchai are defeated. Ning is put in Dam's car trunk. The pilot and Yodchai still follow them to prevent Dam escaping by helicopter. Ning defeats herself Dam and refuses to give him any chance opting for self justice. Unfortunately her friend, the pilot, has died during the fighting. This movie is mainly shot in Malaysia. The actress Lakshmi has the main role. Thai veteran actor Yodchai Meksuwan has a second role. The movie features great views of Kuala Lumpur with old buildings and old mosques. The movie features a few famous Malaysian actors, i.e. Noor Azizah, S. Roomai Noor, Karim Siraj.

Thai movie สายฝน was released in year 1973 and last 2h33mn. It was released under DVD format by company Happy Home Entertainment. The picture is sharp and colorful. Three songs are featured in the movie. Sathit (Sombat Methanee) is a former football player, who failed to have success. Sathit gives back his room keys to his landlord Chadaporn Wachirapranee, quits university and is going back home to Sukhothai. Sathit has to go back urgently (เรื่องยุ่งๆ). Young lady Kaewta (Suthisa Putnuch) is disappointed as she believes there is a love story behind his sudden return. Sathit meets Saipin (Petchara Chaowarat), student coming back from USA, in the train. Likay (Orasa Isarangkul) and Cheunchai (Man Teeraphol) welcome Saipin in Phitsanulok. Uncle Jing (Dokdin Kanyaman) is a teacher and Deuan (Donnapha Sophee) is his daughter. Saming (Choomporn Theppitak) and Sataya (จีรศักดิ์ ปิ่นสุวรรณ) have arguments with Sathit and Jing. Saipin is uncle Saeng's daughter (Prachuap Ruekyamdee). Saeng owns the land where Jing's school is located, and all local villagers are indebted to him. Sathit's mother is played by Somjit Sapsamruey (ลูกไม่รักดี), being almost blind. Half of his land was sold to Saeng to pay for Sathit’s studies, so she is upset that he stops studying. Kaewta is a new teacher arriving in Jing's school. She wishes to be close to Sathit. Sataya wishes to marry with Deuan. Love triangle occurs between Sathit, Kaewta and Saipin. Saming and Cheunchai manage an illegal game den (บอล) where villagers get poorer. One villager hangs herself due to debts. Sathit decides to get rid of this underground den. Deuan is pregnant with Sattaya but he refuses to recognize his paternity. Sathit calls the police to have the den closed. Upset, Saming decides to get rid of Sathit. Sathit organizes a rebellion to increase the salary of the farmers paid by Saeng. Sawin Sawangrat is part of the rebellion. Saipin helps the villagers by buying food for them (แจก) but villagers are reluctant to accept. Saipin gives secretly money to the mother to pay back her debt. The ruffians burn Sathit's fields to prevent him selling goods to help villagers. Sathit wishes to get revenge but Kaewta calms him down. Sathit loves Kaewta like a sister (น้องสาว). Sad, she wishes to go back to Bangkok, but she finally stays because of poor children needing her. Due to money conflict, Saming kills Cheunchai. Rats eat the supply so even Sawin dies due to disease. Saipin lets the farmers take the rice inside Saeng's barns. Upset, Saeng chases Sathit. Saming is also shot by Saeng. About to shoot Sathit and Jing, Saeng understands that Saming was the one being dishonest with farmers by using the den to make them poor and buying their land at low price. The movie ends up with Thai King Rama IX car convoy passing by and rain falling through a cloud having the Royalty symbol shape.

Her mother wants her to marry the son of a friend as they are poor. Veteran actors (Prachuap Ruekyamdee and Songthong), a doctor and a young man (ทม วิศวชาติ) are visiting them. Petchara and the young man appreciate each other. Veteran actress Chosri Misommon is playing a domestic helper. Sombat later on arrives. He is welcomed by Sisala Thongtara and Somjit, then also by Metta Roongrat and Petchara. Petchara is not so happy to meet Sombat. Somjit is feeling unwell and ends up at hospital. Certainly Somjit asks Petchara to really consider Sombat as engagement but Petchara loves already another man. Misunderstanding happens between Petchara and Sombat. A fire in the house happens. This is a romantic drama.

Thai movie ระเริงชล was released in year 1972 and lasts 2h07mn. It was released under VCD format by XxX company in year 2001. Director is Chalong Pukdeewichit. The movie was found overseas and the picture is sharp and colorful. Unfortunately the first part of the movie (around 20 minutes) was missing. So in order to be able to release the movie, a remaining 35mm film was digitized. As the film reel was almost 30 years old, the colors were gone and scratches could be seen. Petchara wears extraordinary hats in this movie. Pak (Sombat Methanee) is back from overseas. Per his parents' arrangement, he needs to marry a young lady called Rareung (Petchara Chaowarat). His father (Rujira Isarangkul) and his mother (Somjit Sapsamruey) have a debt towards Thon (Lor Tok) and his wife (Marasri Isarangkul), who helped them financially. They must have gratitude (บุญคุณ) towards this family. It is the overseas student versus the upcountry lady (เด็กบ้านนอก). Pak is not willing to marry Rareung and wishes to break the engagement (ถอดหมั้น) as he has a fiancee, called Sopha (นงลักษณ์ โรจนพรรณ), still being overseas. The young lady, Rareung, is behaving like a hippy. If no wedding, Pak's father has to pay back the debt but he doesn't have the money. Pak agrees to work for Thon one year in order to pay back his father’s debts. The engagement is maintained. They have to move back to Rayong. Pak met Pleun (เพลิน) as local architect and Sang (Songthon). Plaem (Orasa Isarangkul) is aggressed by ruffians including Pan Borapet. Pleun and Rareung help her on time. Sopha is back from USA and is willing to pay the 1M Baht debt. Pak refuses as he is not a thing that can be purchased. Rareung calls him “golden pimp” (แมงดาปิดทอง)! Pak is authorised by Thon to go to Sopha’s birthday. A fight occurs during Sopha’s birthday. Bouleu (พ.ต.ต.ประชา พูนวิวัฒน์) hires ruffians to beat Pak as he sees him as a rival. Rareung and his friends help him. Sopha's mother (ประพิศ พราวพรรณ) wishes her daughter to marry Bouleu, a rich businessman. Bouleu has a mistress already (Wassana Chalakorn). Den (ปรีดา จุลละมณฑล) has a car accident with Sopha so he tries to seduce her and comes to her house. Rareung's mother is suddenly dead. Thon has a mistress. Her brother Chu (Taksin Jampol) pushes her to become official wife. Pak refuses that Rareung's breaks her debt contract. Rareung is aggressed by three ruffians but Pak helps her on time. Bouleu hires Chu to recover some drugs fallen in the sea. A party (งานฉลอง) is organised to celebrate new bungalows opening so many families are gathering. Sopha knows she lost to Rareung. Bouleu proposes to help her by damaging the parachute. While Rareung is parasailing, Paen Pleumsachai shoots the parachutes and ruffians kidnap the ladies. They ask for 1M baht ranson to Thon. Bouleu is the mastermind behind. The ransom fails as the police intervenes. Chu is involved but he is doubled. Plaem (sister of policeman Den) and Thon’s mistress are also captured. Police is about to storm the island where Bouleu and his team is hiding. Wassana is disappointed that Bouleu still loves Sopha. She warns Pak and the police regarding mines hidden under the beach. Bouleu shoots her. Police led by Den and Pak succeed to storm the HQ and to release the ladies. They have to flee as a time bomb shall destroy the HQ. A final fight occurs between Pak and Bouleu. Wassana harpoons Bouleu. Happy romance can happen between Pak and Rareung, between Den and Sopha, between Pleun and Plaem.

They finally become lovers. Khomapat and her mother denigrate Jub Jaeng towards Sombat. Khomapat pushes Aranya in the stairs. She ends up at hospital. Wilaiwan and Somkuan finally find Jub Jaeng. They finally get reunited thanks to Sompong Phonmitr. This movie features sequence shot in famous Daimaru former shopping mall. Prachuap has a leg injury and is visited by twin ladies (real singers อารยา ปาริชาติ ฉายาลักษณ์). Finally the parents let Jub Jaeng go with Sombat. Khomapat and her mum are upset about the gifts bought by Sombat to Jub Jaeng. Sombat tries to end the dispute with Khomapat but it ends up badly. While walking on the beach, he gets stabbed by ruffians. Khomapat gets also aggressed by ruffians on the beach. Khomapat tries to hit Jub Jaeng again but she fights back and finally decides to quit this crazy house. Prachuap and Sombat finally understand Khomapat’s bad games. Sombat rushes after Jub Jaeng and they finally reconcile.

Aunt Chan (Somjit Sapsamruey) has debts towards the subdistrict headman so Yong, being her nephew, repays the debt by working in their house. Yong is a music teacher. Yong helps Tamanoon aggressed by ruffians. Tamanoon asks for Sarai's hand so Yong decides to flee with Sarai. Mae Pat wishes to join them to be Sarai's domestic helper. Nam Pheung hears them and informs Tamanoon. During a celebration organised by the subdistrict headman, they wish to flee but Nam Pheung brings mess again and foils their plan. So finally Yong ends up kidnapping Nam Pheung. Upset, Yong forces Nam Pheung. But then Yong regrets his act and takes good care of her as she is sick. Choomporn Theppitak is his close friend. At nighttime Nam Pheung tries to flee and is aggressed by ruffians. Yong helps on time but is seriously beaten. Nam Pheung understands he is a nice guy. Yong accepts to bring back Nam Pheung to his father and to face whatever her father, a subdistrict headman, will do to him. Probably shoot him dead! Tamanoon wishes to help and prepares a plan in secret. While the father is unable to decide who to punish, his daughter or Yong, Adinan Singhiran attacks the father per Tamanoon’s plan. Yong, unware of the plan, protects the subdistrict headman and gets slightly injured. The subdistrict headman seeing that Yong is brave and good man forgives to him and allows the wedding. Yong and Nam Pheung can marry happily. The DVD picture is really beautiful. Toh Phanmitr (คุณโต๊ะพันธมิตร) has done a great job by restoring this movie and releasing it.

The mother finally realises everybody lied to her. Wan Pen decides to leave this crazy house (ดูถูก) and goes back to her home in Sukhothai. Soi is still pushing Mitr to marry but he is still pushing back. Soi and her mother (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) prepare a bad plan against Mitr. Aware, Wan Pen and Kwan inform him. Shootings happen during a concert. The kidnapping foils as Thai police shoot the ruffians. Mitr is now aware that Wan Pen helped him as she was worried and concerned. Seua Pon kidnaps Wan Pen and uses her as a bait to shoot Mitr. Seua Pon doesn't shoot after hearing her name. Seua Pon and Mitr have a final duel. Knowing that Mitr is injured at the hand, he has no chance against Seua Pon so Wan Pen shoots him with a rifle. Realising she killed her own father, Wan Pen feels bad and flees. Kwan acknowledges he was the one to shoot Seua Pon as both him and Wan Pen shot at same time. Mitr doesn't arrest Kwan as Seua Pon was a bad man. The movie ends up with a romance between Mitr and Wan Pen.

They complain to subdistrict headman Phet but as Tan saw them, then Phet knows that both are lying and were looking for troubles first. They quit their work and promise to get revenge towards Dio. Plok (Choomporn Theppitak) wishes Tan to become his wife. He plans to abuse her with the help of the ruffians chased by Phet. Once abused (เสียแล้ว), he will ask for her hand and subdistrict headman Phet cannot refuse. Ladders to climb palm trees are damaged. Dio and Jamroon suspect the ruffians. One evening, Jamroon, being drunk, have arguments with Plok and his men. He gets severely beaten. Plok’s father is played by Sawin Sawangrat. Tamleung (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is another lady fond of Dio. Annual festival (งานประจำปี) occurs and features a boat race. Plok tries to kidnap Tan (ลูกตาล) but Dio helps her on time. Plok and his father have to apologize to subdistrict headman Phet and his daughter. Subdistrict headman Phet wishes to give money to Dio as a reward but he refuses. Dio and Tan declare love to each other. Kut, also loving Tan, has even a fight with Dio but recognises he was wrong to fight against his friend. Being jealous, Kratin complains to subdistrict headman Phet to break Dio and Tan relationship. Tan gets beaten by her father and is locked in her room. Dio escapes beating thanks to her mother but he loses his job in the orchard. They have to leave. Dio visits Tan in her room and they become lovers. About to leave by boat, Tan also comes and announces she is leaving her father as she loves Dio and is now his wife. Kratin and Kut are heartbroken. Dio and Tan take refuge in a relative home. Plok and his father announce to subdistrict headman Phet that they will help to find where Dio and Tan are hiding. Dio and Tan move to a relative's place, being a village leader called Duang. His wife, Mae Sri, is upset and afraid to have problems with subdistrict headman Phet so Dio, Tan and the mother move to Bangkok. Plok decides to kidnap Kratin in order to know where Dio is hiding. His father wishes to have Kratin becoming his minor wife. The issue turns badly as other ruffians fight with the father over Kratin. The father dies and Kut is able to release his sister. Life is harsh in Bangkok and Dio has to be tricycle and taxi driver. A child is born. After two years, they finally move back to Duang's place. Mae Sri informs subdistrict headman Phet, who kidnaps his own daughter with Plok's help. Dio, upset, goes to subdistrict headman Phet's house bringing his son. Phet refuses to Dio to see his wife and pushes him severely out. Hearing that Plok plans to rob subdistrict headman Phet’s house at night time by claiming being Dio, Dio has to help. One of his friends warns the police. Plok is killed during the fightings. Seeing that Dio is finally a good and brave man, sub district headman Phet agrees to an official wedding of Dio and Tan.

Uma is not welcomed in the house by existing family members as Phairoj was supposed to marry with Kanya. After meeting Uma, he changes his mind. While Phairoj is away, Uma is aggressed but he comes back just on time to save her. Somjit, trying to carry Uma away, falls from a cliff and dies. The movie was dubbed by uncle Manat and aunt Soo. Movie director is Neramit. Kram (Chao Klaewklong) has arguments with Pramin Jarujareet as he refuses to be a robber anymore. He even gives back stolen goods to a company. It makes Pramin Jarujareet upset and they storm Chao Klaewklong's house. Only his wife Somjit Sapsamruey is here with her two twin sons. Ruffians kidnap one of the two sons. The child is renamed Klao and raised by Adinan Singhiran. As an adult, Klao is played by Mitr Chaibancha. Ming (Sompol Kongsuwan) doesn't trust Klao. While training Thai boxing, Klao hears Ming saying that he is not the son of Pramin Jarujareet. Klao wishes to know who his parents are. Klao was raised as a robber, but he still has a good heart. Singer Lady Metta Roongrat invites him to her bar. Somjit Sapsamruey is sick and sad that Chao couldn't find her missing son for 20 years. Chao hires lawyer Tawan Siriwat to find his missing son. Somjit Sapsamruey dies before seeing her son again. Klao and his father Pramin Jarujareet take part in a truck robbery, but other ruffians led by Phan Kam double them. They use Lor Tok as a taxi driver. Metta is harassed at the exit of a nightclub, but Klao is helping her. Choomporn Theppitak is present also and knocks Klao. The head of ruffians Phan Kam believes Pramin was trying to double him, so cuts his hand to teach him a lesson. Pramin now uses a hook instead of his hand. The second son, Naprapong, is back from studying overseas and is captured by ruffians with the lawyer Tawan. The son is coming back for his father Kram's heritage. He shall also meet his fiancée Morakot. Phan Kam prepares a plan with a fake Morakot played by Preeya Roongrueng, but it fails. Klao finally meets the real Morakot (Petchara Chaowarat). Ruffians are confused as they thought they captured Klao but it is Naprapong. Meanwhile Klao plays Naprapong and falls in love with Morakot. Ruffians enter the house to clarify their confusion but shooting occurs. One ruffian is killed. Police arrive and the officer remembers Klao's face, but Klao claims it is a misunderstanding as he is Naprapong! Domestic helper Sisala Thongtara prevents Naprapong to be too close to Morakot as wedding has not happened yet. The lawyer Tawan wishes to check the contents of the safe, but Klao claims it is better to wait for the right day. Lor Tok requests money from Klao as Klao’s father, Pramin, is running out of cash. Klao tries to take money at nighttime from the safe, but Morakot prevents him. Klao discloses the truth to Morakot as he loves her sincerely. The remaining film ends up here.

ปูจ๋า or Pu Ja is a 1967 Thai movie directed by Dokdin Kanyaman. 47 minutes only are left. Normally Thai 16mm movies from decade 1960s used to be made of 4 to 5 reels. One reel lasts around 40 minutes. There is no sound available for this movie as 16mm movies are always dubbed. So understanding the whole movie is quite difficult. Petchara Chaowarat (ปู) is a young lady. Her close friends are Dokdin Kanyaman and Orasa Isarangkul. Sawin Sawangrat, Petchara’s father, is a fisherman. Petchara and Dokdin are caught in a military exercise including a beach landing. They meet Mitr Chaibancha, who is an officer. Petchara and Mitr appreciate each other. Mitr rescues a young lady who is about to be drowned. Later on Mitr and his friend Adul mingle (จู๋จี๋) with those two ladies (Chadaporn Wachirapranee and another veteran actress). Petchara, aware of this, is disappointed by Mitr. Petchara’s blind grandmother is played by veteran actress Malee Wetpraseri. It is Petchara’s birthday. Adul changes the content of a gift offered by Mitr. It is a trick to spoil love between Mitr and Petchara as it starts to emerge. He then offers a proper gift to Petchara. Sawin prevents both of them to fight and asks Petchara to go back home. It seems that Chadaporn is unhappy with Sawin and asks him to push Petchara away from Mitr. Following a fishing trip, Sawin falls in the sea during a storm. Petchara and Dokdin need to find a job and then work as coolie in a construction site. Police officer Adul looks for them as it is found that Petchara is a descendant of a rich family. Sawin isn't dead. it seems he will cause issue to Petchara but love with Mitr will of course succeed. In this 1967 period, Petchara Chaowarat had short haircut. As usual with Dokdin Kanyaman’s movies, there is humour, action, romance and good feelings (happy ending).

One day as the drunkard father asks for money, he becomes violent again and Somjit has to protect herself with scissors. Through an accident, the father receives a fatal injury. Somjit ends up in jail. Mitr, Sompong and Lor Tok leave and look for job to find money to pay for Somjit’s bail. Mitr is recruited as Thai boxer. A first match versus Adinan Singhiran happens. Petchara Chaowarat and Dokdin Kanyaman are part of spectators. Mitr finally wins the match despite being told to lose it as he needs money to help his mother. As the match maker refuses to pay, it ends up in another fighting. Preuhat Boonlong decides to hire the three men to working in an outdoor mine. They got troubles with two men in the mine. Fed up the three friends wish to quit the job but Preuhat Boonlong convinces them to stay. The mine is attacked. Mitr pushes back the aggressors but is injured so getting the sympathy from Petchara. The mother is finally released from prison. Kingdao recruits her as domestic helper. Her boyfriend is Choomporn. Finally the mother is also reunited with Mitr. Another attack happens on the mine and Mitr is accused of murder. It ends up to trial. Scolded by his mother, Chana finally gives information that Mitr is not guilty. Ruffians wishing to take revenge on Chana and try to shoot him. The mother interposes herself and gets shot. Mitr and his brothers catch the ruffians. Movie ends up with everybody around the mother's bed at hospital. 34 stars are announced on the movie poster!

Pot, a rich man renting land to Mae Wanta, asks her to arrange for Kaew to stay at his home in Bangkok. He wants her as a minor wife. Kaew helps Meuang Den being injured by a ruffian. Priya (Preeya Roongrueng), wishing to trick her half-sister, sends her to Ming, a ruffian, who tries to abuse her. The rich family is back from Penang. Chao Nok, upset at being treated as a low domestic helper, makes a big fuss with the family and flees to Khun Num's aunt. The two ladies, Chao Nok and Kaew, are lost twins per the will. Aware that Kaew was kidnapped, Khun Num has to go to Chiang Mai to help her. Nareng threatens Kaew to provide the will and to sign it but Kaew cannot as she is not Chao Nok. It makes Nareng very upset. Nareng abused the mother (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) by lying to her. The mother and her daughter Kaew are reunited. Khun Num and Dio storm the house, where the mother and Kaew are held captive. The mother interposes while Nareng tries to stab Kaew. Malee Wetpraseri, mother of Petchara, believes he is a dirty beggar and chases him away. It is a sad story. The movie entered Thai oscars competition on that year also. The 20 seconds sequence is the scene with Petchara wearing a red dress, Mitr as a beggar and grandmother Malee trying to chase him away.

เกียรติศักดิ์ทหารเสือ is a Thai movie released in year 1965. Sor Asanajinda is movie director and actor. The film is lost in Thailand but luckily there is still a “Behind the screen” sequence lasting 20mn. It is in 16mm format so there is no sound and is in black and white color. Main actors are Sombat Methanee, Chaiya Suriyun and Pissamai Wilaisak. A few sequences are featured, i.e. Sor Asanajinda giving orders to Taksin Jampol, Sombat Methanee and Chaiya Suriyun, Pissamai crying, soldiers meeting in which Sombat is stripped of his medals by the general himself and gets slapped also, meeting between Sor Asanajinda and Adul Dulyarat. A general comes and strips himself of his medals. He wishes to kill himself but Sor Asanajinda prevents him to do so. They are all disrupted by an event. During a big assembly in full uniforms, Sor Asanajinda is repeating spade fighting. While Adul is writing, an officer is going to shoot him. Hopefully Sombat intervenes at same time to stop him. The soldier has same face as Sombat! Sequences riding horses. Fight between Sombat and Chaiya. Sequence under the rain where Sombat carries Pissamai. Chaiya helps to get a flag back to avoid Sombat to be executed. The story is inspired by the Three Musketeers from French author Alexandre Dumas. Another version was released in year 1983 and directed again by Sor Asanajinda with actors Toon Hiransap, Kowit Wattanakul, อนุสรณ์ เตชะปัญญา and Pissamai Wilaisak. Finding and watching the 1983 version would allow better understanding of the 1965 behind the screen sequences. Thai movie อ้อมอกดิน was released in year 1965. The DVD lasts 2h12mn. It features a sharp and very colorful image. A father is having financial debts. The father (Somkuan Krajangsat) has three kids (Oum, Ann, Oi) and his wife is sick. The father disappears while trying catching fish in the sea. The mother dies. A debtor claims back his money and seizes the house (บ้านถูกรื้อ). So local teacher (Lor Tok) takes the three children (เด็กกำพร้า) in his house. The teacher's wife uses them as her small slaves. Malee (Malee Wetpraseri) from Bangkok claims she wants to raise children so buys Oum and Ann from the teacher. She in fact uses them as street beggars. They flee and take refuge in a neighbouring house where the owner (Somjit Sapsamruey) and the domestic helper (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) receive them (เมตตา) despite opposition of the husband. The mother also brings the younger daughter to join them. 20 years passed. Oum is Mitr Chaibancha. Petchara Chaowarat is a doctor. Oum is still hoping his real father is alive. Ann likes parties (ไปเที่ยว) and meets bad people such as Krai and Kanya wishing to take advantage of rich people. Oi has a bad mindset and everything shall be due to her (ทำใจ). Oum is the only child working hard and helping the father in his company. The real father is back after 20 years passed in prison. He meets the local teacher. The teacher recommends not to disclose his real identity in order not to destroy the children's happiness. The father still wants to see his children. In Bangkok, while spying the house where the children live, he is mistaken as a beggar and mistreated by his own daughter. Only Oum has kindness for him. The stepfather welcomes him as gardener as he is nowhere to go. Ann is framed by Krai with Kanya in order to force a wedding. Krai and Kanya frames another man, Chai, who is Chadaporn's boyfriend. Chadaporn (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) and Krai are part of the same dishonest group of people. Oi chases her own father as he tries to prevent her seeing Chai. Oum hears the gardener praying so now knows he is his own real father. The real father tells Oum not to disclose his identity. Oum and the doctor shall marry. The doctor's father is the debtor, who took their home twenty years ago. Oum flees during the engagement ceremony. Ann tries to get big amount money from his mother but she refuses as no explanation is given by Ann. So Ann disappears. Oum is still upset and chases the doctor and her brother from his home. He slaps Oi lacking respect to the gardener, her own father. Seeing that issues between his children happen since he hired the gardener uncle Tam, the stepfather fires him. Uncle Tam helps Oi aggressed by Krai. Krai tries to steal money from the doctor's father by involving Ann. Shootings happen and Tam gets injured by protecting the doctor's father. The doctor saves his life. Seeing his children happy with the current family, Tam decides to ordain as a monk.

Being three years old, kid Wang is carried in a red satin cloth (โจรแพรแดง) by his mother Phikul (Somjit Sapsamruey). Phikul drops the baby in front of Nai Somporn’s house. Wang is the child of Phikul and Somporn, but Somporn broke up with Phikul to marry another lady called Ladda. Domestic helper lady Chap recognizes Wang and manages his education to save face to her employer Nai Somporn. At 10 years old, as the domestic helper dies, Wang is alone again. Somporn and Ladda keep beating Wang as they despise him. Wang quits the house with his red satin cloth and looks for his real mother Pikul. By chance, ruffian Thieng escapes death as the Police don’t dare to shoot him as they are afraid to hit the child Wang. Ruffian Thieng takes Wang with him and raises him as his own child. Despite living about robbers, Wang (Mitr Chaibancha) grows up as an honest man. Soi (Orasa Isarangkul), daughter of ruffian Thieng, likes Wang but Wang doesn’t like her as her elder brother Thiep likes to bully him. One night, Wang helps young lady Duang Kae, who has been kidnapped by ruffians. Love emerges and they promise to meet again. The problem is that Duang Kae already has a fiance, Palat Charin. Knowing about the kidnapping, Palat Charin decides to send Thai Police to catch the robbers. Ruffian leader Thieng is betrayed by ruffian Hao and his son Hiem. He is shot dead. Wang has a misunderstanding. He wishes to get revenge on Duang Kae and prepares to rob her house. During, he faces Phikul, being Duang Kae’s mother-in-law, and being his own mother! The robbing ends well. Somporn and Ladda prepare a plan to get rid of Wang and use Phikul and Soi to attract him. It ends as a duel between Wang and Somporn. In the short remaining sequences, Orasa dies in Mitr’s arms. His mother gives him the red silk as Orasa just died.

บาปสวาท is a Thai movie released in year 1960 and featuring actors Prachuap Ruekyamdee and Anothai Busayachat (อโนทัย บุศยชาติ). This movie features a new main actor (อารุยา กาญจนลักษณ์) and a new main actress (อโนทัย บุศยชาติ). A three minutes sequence only is left. Thai movie กล่อมกากี was released in year 1959. It features Amara Asavananda as main actress and Chana Sriubon as main actor. Thong (Surasit Sattayawong) helps a pregnant woman called Yinfa (Somjit Sapsamruey). She is going to jump from a bridge. He saves her life. Her born daughter is called Buakim (Amara Asavananda) and is raised by Thong. Being adult, Buakim finds a job in an office but issues happen. Chana (Chana Sriubon), the staff manager, solves the issues. As uncle Thong is sick, Buakim asks for a three days off and salary advance to the boss (เป็นพิเศษ). Buakim ends up being domestic helper (แม่บ้าน) for Chana’s family. Chana doesn't have any mother. Buakim doesn't have any father. So they have a common understanding. Buakim is poor (ยากจน / พบแค่ความทุกข์). She is accused of having stolen money in the house. It is in fact a plan by the younger wife of the boss asking Mae Nim (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) to play trick to Buakim. When Chana finishes his university degree, he wishes to marry with Buakim. Buakim is reluctant as she is only a domestic helper. Thong warns the boss' wife to stop harassing Buakim. Yinfa realises that Chana is her lost son so she asks Buakim to stop seeing Chana. Upset Chana feels betrayed and slaps Buakim. Thong protects Buakim. Chana understands the truth and visits his lost mother. Finally they are all reunited thanks to Thong. Chana loses a wife but gains a mother and sister. Part of the movie is dubbed as it was released earlier in video tape format. It was never released in another format as the movie was not successful enough in VHS format. It lasts around 1h30mn. A Hong Kong actress is also involved, i.e. Miss Minchoo (หมิ่นจู้).

It starts with a nice sequence of a family at the beach around Hua Hin. Khun Thanya (Man Teeraphol), young Bangkokian man, has a bad behaviour. He flees from Bangkok to Chumphon and meets Kaet Kaew. Kaet Kaew (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng) is a local village young lady. Adinan Singhiran loves Kaet Kaew but love is not reciprocal (พี่น้อง). Plaew (เชาวน์ แคล่วคล่อง), another villager, also loves Kaet Kaew so fighting happens between the two men. Kae Son (Somjit Sapsamruey) is the mother of Kaet Kaew. Love emerges between khun Thanya and Kaet Kaew despite her mum warning her against Bangkok people. Kaet Kaew follows him to Bangkok but faces disappointment. Back to Chumphon she marries with Plaew. A remake was released in year 1983 with Sorapong Chatree and Naowarat Yooktanun.
