Pum (Mitr Chaibancha) loves Deuan Chai but his parents want him to marry Prakai Fa (Khomapat Attaya), a young lady he doesn't love. Mitr consults his lawyer Pattai (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and they set up a plan. As Deuan Chan is still studying in Japan for 8 months, they need to find a fake lady to convince the aunt (คุณหญิง) that Pum is already married to Deuan Chai and to cancel engagement with Prakai Fa. A job advertising is posted. Yai (Pissamai Wilaisak)(นางหนู), old style young lady, answers to it. Daonoi Duangjai is playing funny character as usual. The aunt is very direct (ปากร้ายใจดี). As wife and husband, Pum and Yai need to share the same room so it causes some issues. Pum's mother doesn't like Yai and wishes to cancel Pum and Deuan Chan's marriage. The mother tries to add jealousy between Pum and Yai by pretending Yai and Pattai are close together. Sathi (Metta Roongrat), close friend with Pum, has a fiance called Pirapee. Prakai Fa arrives and is shocked to discover Deuan Chan as she is supposed to get engaged with Pum. Pum is very jealous regarding Yai. It seems Yai has also a fiance (กุมาร) called Prasan (Choomporn Theppitak). In fact Yai, real name Ranaree, is coming from Songkhla and is also coming from a rich family. Her brother is Pirapee. She has to follow her parents' decision (ต้องทำตามคำสั่งของพ่อ). This movie features the last sequence in Mitr Chaibancha's life. Real Deuan Chan (Prim Praphaporn) is back so Yai prefers to leave. Pum has to disclose the truth to his aunt. The last sequence of the movie is using a replacement of the main actor as Mitr Chaibancha was already dead. Finally the movie ends happily with Pum and Yai staying together.

Loving the teacher for a long time, he tries to kidnap her during the ordination parade. Hopefully Nakrop intervenes and stops Ong At. Nakrop promises to visit teacher Palap Pleung soon again. Nakrop goes to Lam Duan hill and have lunch in a restaurant owned by เสน่ห์ โกมารชุน. At the same time, ruffians leader Kam Maen (เสถียร ธรรมเจริญ) is having lunch with his daughter Malika (เนตรดาว) and Ong At. Malika has arguments with Neua Hom (Daonoi Duangjai), who gets beaten by Kam Maen. Nakrop intervenes but Sarapee (Sopha Sataporn), daughter of the restaurant owner, uses a rifle to stop any fighting. Unhappy, Kam Maen and Ong At have to leave. Kong Jak and Samong Thong also travel to Lam Duan hill. Having car issues, they get help from lady Dok Kaew (Metta Roongrat). Kong Jak falls in love with Dok Kaew. Meanwhile Sarapee is captured by Kam Maen’s men as revenge. Dok Kaew, aware of the kidnapping, suspects Kam Maen’s men. Samong Thong and Kong Jak help to release Sarapee. Sarapee doesn’t dare to stay in her father’s restaurant anymore and takes refuge in teacher Palap Pleung’s home. Santi is the last one to travel. He visits Orasa (ธิดา) and disguises himself as a singer. That night, Ong At has a meeting with Chaiyan (เมืองเริง ปัทมินทร์) regarding contraband weapons. Ong At wants Orasa to sit at his table but she refuses. As he forces her, Santi intervenes. Both Santi and Orasa flee and meet their friends at Pa Chang. In Pak Chang, all couples can enjoy romance, but Santi and Samong Thong are kidnapped by ruffians. Nakrop helps to release them but Kam Maen’s men kidnap the three ladies. Nakrop kidnaps Malika in order to be able to bargain with Kam Maen. Following fighting, the three ladies are able to flee. Knowing that a weapon deal will happen soon, Nakrop asks Thai police’s help. Ong AT dies following a gun duel with Nakrop. Romances can blossom.

ยมบาลเจ้าขา (1971) is a Thai movie, which was never released in any format (VHS, VCD, DVD). An extract of 54mn can still be seen despite the whole remaining footage is around 1h40mn. It is a 16mm movie so no original sound is available as such movies were dubbed. There is no more poster available. ยมบาลเจ้าขา is a horror movie with a comic twist. Most former Thai horror movies have more comedy than real horror (หนังผีตลก). While her husband is away, Petchara Chaowarat is aggressed and raped by Sawin Sawangrat so she gets suicide. Daonoi (ดาวน้อย ดวงใหญ่), Sithao, Lor Tok are playing comic characters. They are aware Petchara is dead. Two other veteran actresses are involved in this movie, i.e. Malalin Bonnak (มาลาริน บุนนาค) and Charuwan Sawirayong (จารุวรรณ สวีรวงศ์), spouse of Mitr Chaibancha. It was her first movie. Charuwan Sawirayong was married to Mitr Chaibancha from 1959 to 1963. The movie scenario is a bit similar to Mae Nak story. All know Petchara has died except her own husband Kwanchai Suriya. Kwanchai Suriya (ขวัญชัย สุริยา) is a new actor and part of the numerous tentatives to find a proper candidate to replace superstar Mitr Chaibancha, who unfortunately died in year 1970. Kwanchai Suriya was quite shy when acting so he only played 2 movies as main actor and then only secondary roles. When Kwanchai realizes his wife is now a ghost (รู้เป็นผี) so he flees from his home but Petchara is still looking for him. Sawin is back from Bangkok with a man and they do visit a cemetery with a spirit doctor (หมอผี). It is a fiasco. Meanwhile Kwanchai and his friends also hire a spirit doctor. As Petchara ghost refuses to be born again, it is imprisoned in an earth clay pot. Many spirit doctors (หมอผีแขก, หมอผีจีน, หมอผีไทย) intervene but fail to control the ghost. Following all the deaths, Kwanchai agrees to go with Petchara ghost to stop the killings. He gets estranged and both go to hell judgment. The hell king refuses to accept Kwanchai as it is not his time to die yet. Before leaving, the Hell King shows him around. It features two songs in the Hell Kingdom. Through a touching song, Petchara tries to convince the Hell guardian but to no avail. Finally Kwanchai is sent back to earth but all his friends believe he is a ghost too! The movie ends with Kwanchai convincing them that he is still alive. The movie features a total of three songs.

Actress Chatchadaporn Laksanawed (ชัชฎาพร ลักษณาเวช) is a former Miss Thailand (นางสาวไทย). As it is a 16mm movie, the movie needs to be dubbed. As there is no dubbing script left, the movie is mute. Anucha loves secretly Chatchadaporn. Chatchadaporn is the daughter of a rich family. Mitr and Chatchadaporn know each other while playing kite. Argument between Mitr and Anucha happens as Mitr's kite causes Chatchadaporn's kite to fall. On the next day, kite playing continues and Mitr's kite causes Chatchadaporn to fall in a pond. Daonoi (ตลกตามนาง) and Sompong (ตลกตามพระ) are playing support role actors accompanying the main actor (Mitr) / main actress (Chatchadaporn). Old maiden Chosri Misommon tries to seduce Mitr through delicious dishes. During nighttime Mitr dreams about Chatchadaporn. Chatchadaporn's father (Op Boonthit) is the house owner where Mitr and Sompong live. As they have no money to pay the rent, they have to work as gardeners in Chatchadaporn’s house. Mitr is useless and is fired. While going back home, Mitr helps Chatchadaporn aggressed by three ruffians. She starts to appreciate Mitr. Mitr tries to see Chatchadaporn in her house and disguise himself as lion dancer but he is discovered by the father. Mitr and Chatchadaporn spend one night together. Finally their relationship is accepted as Mitr is a good young man. Mitr is also the son of a rich family. Mitr's mother accepts reluctantly the engagement. Mitr needs to go to countryside for business purpose. Chatchadaporn is pregnant. On the countryside a young lady is fond of Mitr but in fact she is sent by Mitr's mother in order to drunk him and take advantage of him at bedtime. Mitr's mother convinces her that Mitr will not marry her. Chatchadaporn’s father is sick. They have to sell their house. As her father dies, Chatchadaporn goes to Bangkok to find a job. Chatchadaporn ends up in jail after stabbing her employer trying to rape her. Anucha is now a policeman. Chatchadaporn gives her child to Anucha to ensure it can get a good future. Mitr’s mother, being sick, dies also. Before her death, she tells the truth about Chatchadaporn. So Mitr looks for her. Meanwhile with no goal in her life, Chatchadaporn tries to get suicide but a nun prevents to do so. Mitr finally finds her but she refuses to disrobe. Mitr then educates his daughter. Sompong Phonmitr (สมพงษ์ พงษ์มิตร) is the director and is also playing a comic role in his own movie.

Taeng helps Lit by offering her pearl necklace in order to soothe the usurer. Op Boonthit and Somkuan Krajangsat (พ่ออ้วน) complain Wan likes to go out often. Wan and Noi (Daonoi Duangjai) meet Lit and his two friends to discuss business. Lit visits Op and Somkuan's house. Lit borrows some money as he is opening a business. Wan gives money to Lit and his friends for them to be quiet. Two songs are then featured in the nightclub area. Lit is forbidding his former girlfriend Sophee to dance with Choomporn Theppitak in a nightclub. Chom (Khomapat Attaya) is also present. Lit finally punches Choomporn. Another love song is sung by Khomapat Attaya. Ling declares her love to Lit but Lit only considers her as a younger sister (น้องสาว). Op asks Lit to find his lost daughter. Lit needs to get back the pearl necklace also as Op mentions his lost daughter had such necklace. So he needs to verify if Taeng is the lost daughter or not. Chom is helping by giving money to Lit. Lit buys the necklace back from the Chinese usurier Kokheng. Finally Taeng is reunited with her family thanks to Lit. Later on, Taeng visits Lit in his house. Taeng is then singing with Lit in his house. Thanks to a sign on his chest, Lit is also identified as the lost son of Somkuan. The movie can end up happily. A movie with same name was released in year 1984 but the story is different.

Mitr is back to his house, where the spirit of Suthisa is still waiting for him. Love happens between a human and a spirit. It causes fear to all people around.

The movie quits the countryside to the seaside where Sombat and Petchara have fun singing, playing unreal music instruments and playing in the water. Prim have arguments with Petchara while she is keeping her suitcase following her trip to seaside. Prim and Petchara are sisters? While Petchara is sick following overwork, her friends take care of her. Sombat is back from abroad. Prim wishes to become the official fiancee and to replace Petchara in Sombat’s heart. She organizes Sombat’s kidnapping but it fails. She finally drugs him. Meanwhile Petchara is kidnapped by Choomporn and Sawin. A huge storm is coming. Awaken, Sombat pushes back Prim and rushes to look for Petchara. People like Sawin struggles to bring their wealth with them but finally dies in house explosion following their greedy attitude. This movie is certainly one of the first Thai catastrophe movies. The movie includes real footage of a storm, i.e. Talumphuk storm in Nakhon Sri Thammarat on 27 october 1962. The severe storm called Talumphuk (ตะลุมพุก) devastated Pak Phanang coast and Talumphuk cape. It killed 769 inhabitants. Petchara falls from a passerelle during the storm. Sombat falls also during the storm. After the storm, many corpses can be seen. Sombat is looking for Petchara anxiously. She cannot be found. Petchara's friend blames Sombat. She is finally rescued by the hospital but her face is disfigured to the big delight of Prim. Petchara thinks about suicide but her mother prevents her. Sombat is still looking for Petchara despite her parents saying she has disappeared. Recognizing her clothes on a clothesline, he knows she is hiding in her parents’ home. She refuses Sombat's love as she is now ugly. Sombat promises to take care and to pay for hospital bills regarding facial surgery. Prim hires Choomporn, promising sweet rewards, to pour acid on Petchara’s face while she is recovering at hospital. He does so but does it on the wrong person! At a big party, Sombat is accompanied by Petchara back to her full beauty causing Prim’s wrath. The movie stops here.

One evening, Jamroon, being drunk, have arguments with Plok and his men. He gets severely beaten. Plok’s father is played by Sawin Sawangrat. Tamleung (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is another lady fond of Dio. Annual festival (งานประจำปี) occurs and features a boat race. Plok tries to kidnap Tan (ลูกตาล) but Dio helps her on time. Plok and his father have to apologize to subdistrict headman Phet and his daughter. Subdistrict headman Phet wishes to give money to Dio as a reward but he refuses. Dio and Tan declare love to each other. Kut, also loving Tan, has even a fight with Dio but recognises he was wrong to fight against his friend. Being jealous, Kratin complains to subdistrict headman Phet to break Dio and Tan relationship. Tan gets beaten by her father and is locked in her room. Dio escapes beating thanks to her mother but he loses his job in the orchard. They have to leave. Dio visits Tan in her room and they become lovers. About to leave by boat, Tan also comes and announces she is leaving her father as she loves Dio and is now his wife. Kratin and Kut are heartbroken. Dio and Tan take refuge in a relative home. Plok and his father announce to subdistrict headman Phet that they will help to find where Dio and Tan are hiding. Dio and Tan move to a relative's place, being a village leader called Duang. His wife, Mae Sri, is upset and afraid to have problems with subdistrict headman Phet so Dio, Tan and the mother move to Bangkok. Plok decides to kidnap Kratin in order to know where Dio is hiding. His father wishes to have Kratin becoming his minor wife. The issue turns badly as other ruffians fight with the father over Kratin. The father dies and Kut is able to release his sister. Life is harsh in Bangkok and Dio has to be tricycle and taxi driver. A child is born. After two years, they finally move back to Duang's place. Mae Sri informs subdistrict headman Phet, who kidnaps his own daughter with Plok's help. Dio, upset, goes to subdistrict headman Phet's house bringing his son. Phet refuses to Dio to see his wife and pushes him severely out. Hearing that Plok plans to rob subdistrict headman Phet’s house at night time by claiming being Dio, Dio has to help. One of his friends warns the police. Plok is killed during the fightings. Seeing that Dio is finally a good and brave man, sub district headman Phet agrees to an official wedding of Dio and Tan.

Khangpu delivers a small boy. Wedding ceremony with Orapin is happening and many guests are joining the party. 3 years have passed and Khangpu is crying every day. The grandmother suggests they go to Bangkok to find Nawin. They find him and Nawin explains he was forced by his mother to marry Orapin. The mother (Manat Boonkiet) invites Khangpu (เมียบ้านนอก) to stay in her home but it is a trick. The mother, Orapin and Chana try everything to have Nawin breaks up with Khangpu. They succeed. Finally Orapin was having an affair with another man. It turns badly and she is strangled. Nawin is accused of murder but his friends can demonstrate that he is not guilty. The grandmother is doing flower garlands for Rinarom to sell. Despite being poor, the parents want Pattara to study high and become a teacher also. It seems the rent increases or the owner wants to sell so teacher Boonmee needs a big amount of money. Chaithep (Mitr Chaibancha) is the son of an university professor, who is also teaching Pattara. As Rinarom is having problems, Chaithep gives a hand and meets Pattara. Chaithep wishes to write a story about poor people life so gets inspiration from Pattara and Rinarom lives. A fire happens in Pattara’s house. Boonmee and Rinarom die. For the remaining family members, only the boats become their shelter. Chaithep wins a prize. Wishing to find Pattara to announce the good news, he learns about the recent tragic event. Meanwhile ruffians try to bring Pattara and Pacheun to a turkey bath parlor. Chaithep arrives on time but Pacheun gets shot and dies. After so many tragic events, Pattara can finally find happiness with Chaitep.

Pa (Marasri Isarangkul) is Wan’s aunt. Wan meets Sida as his car splashes her but he pretends to be a car driver only in order to be friend with her as she has a kind heart and has education. Changing his name as Tiaw, he looks for a job in the slum. An undertaker job (สัปเหร่อ) is proposed to him. Sophee is offered the role of main actress. She wishes to quit the house. The mother is sick, they have no more money and Sida stops going to school. Sophee lends to Sida 100 baht but doesn't want to see her anymore. The landlord คุณนาย (Chosri Misommon) expels them. Sida and Nuan have to live under a bridge. Sida becomes blind following a car accident involving Ramet. Wan, aware of this, takes care of Sida. Net, Wan's official fiancee, is jealous and hires the domestic helper to cause Sida to fall from a cliff. Hopefully Wan helps Sida on time. On Sophee's birthday, Nuan and Sida visit her but she is not happy to see them and asking them to stop visiting her. Altercation happens and Sophee pushes Sida, whose head hits a pillar. She ends up at hospital again. Meanwhile Sophee and Panong promise love to each other. Malin, fed up by Sophee and Panong, throws acid to their faces. Luckily Sopha recovers her sight while Sophee is disfigured. She asks for mercy to Sida and Nuan. She decides to become a nun. This movie highlights that doing good always pays off while doing bad always ends up sadly.

Maew (Petchara Chaowarat) is orphan (เด็กกำพร้า). Beum (Daonoi Duangjai) is her close friend. Doctor Yot Kwan (Adul Dulyarat) wishes to become the father of Maew (อุปกรณ์เลีืยงลูก). The doctor's mother (Malee Wetpraseri) also agrees. The doctor suspects that Maew is his own daughter with another woman called Amon. Mom Chan Phuangwan and Sukon Koewliam are domestic helpers in the doctor's house. They are playing relief comic characters. Preeya Roongrueng (แม่ใหม่) is now married to the doctor. She has a son called Pongsak (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and a daughter called Pla (Metta Roongrat). Kachen (Mitr Chaibancha), taxi driver being aggressed, is helped by Maew and Beum. Maew and Beum are not welcomed by Pla and her mother. The woman called Amon (Kingdao Daranee) is forced by ruffians. In front of the doctor, Preeya and Pla are polite but behind his back, they try everything to chase Maew and Beum from the house. Doctor Yot Kwan sees Amon in a taxi driven by Kachen. The doctor tries to prevent Amon to be beaten by her pimp called Mek. He gets some help from Kachen, who is then slightly injured. Thanks to his kindness, Kachen is authorized to come to the doctor's house whenever he wishes (ยินดีรันใช้). Pla and her mother continue to be hypocrites (หมั่นไส้ / ตอแหล) in front of the doctor and the grandmother. Saranee (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) uses Sarayut (Ruj Ronnapop) to seduce Pla. Somkuan Krajangsat is a policeman. The mother and daughter try to tease (แกล้ง) Maew by hiding jewelry under her bed. Phi Mek is close friend with Chadaporn. Their plan is to take pictures of Pla and Ruj in compromising situation and ask for money. Amon warns Maew. Amon warns also Pla but it is almost too late for Pla. Luckily Kachen arrives on time as Amon called the police. Kachen is a relative of Somkuan. Finally Amon dies in the arm of Maew as she refused to get any help believing she is bad person (ชั่ว). Preeya and Pla apologise for their behavior. The movie แมวเหมียว lasts 2h07mn.

Mitsuko tries to reject the accusations and through an accident the new daughter loses her life. The new wife accuses Mitsuko to have killed her daughter. Truth is revealed during the following trial. Sompong Phonmitr and Choomporn Theppitak are playing lawyers. During the trial Sombat as witness is disclosing some truth that Mekala is the daughter of Mitsoko. Mitsuko is cleared and Adul hires the best surgeon to heal Mitsuko. Finally happiness is back as Adul and Mitsuko are back together. Sombat marries Mekala.

The two ladies, Chao Nok and Kaew, are lost twins per the will. Aware that Kaew was kidnapped, Khun Num has to go to Chiang Mai to help her. The movie starts by a small introduction highlighting that everybody fights for money (เงิน เงิน เงิน). This introduction features many actors or actresses with cameo role such as Daonoi Duangjai, Dokdin Kanyaman, Man Teeraphol, Chadaporn Wachirapranee. Tu (Mitr Chaibancha) comes back to Thailand after overseas studies in USA. Tum (สุมาลี ทองหล่อ) is his sister. They are orphans. Their uncle Hirun is a creditor. Mom (Mom Chan Phuangwan) is Hirun's assistant. For Hirun, money is work and work is money. He has no feelings for his customers personal problems. Tu’s uncle wants him to take over his duty but Tu doesn't like such job bringing suffering to people (สงสาร) so that is why he has done artistic studies as it can bring happiness to people. He meets Kingkaew (Petchara Chaowarat), a vagabond. Wishing to help poor people and teased by Kingkaew, he proposes to bring the A-ram boys band (เด็กวัด) in Bangkok to play music in a nightclub. His uncle chases him away as he cancelled all debt contracts. Tum is chased also. Teacher (ครู) Rangsun (Charin Nantanakorn) will help writing songs for the band. There is a crazy lady (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) in Hirun's house looking for her children. Tum wonders if she is her mother or not. They arrive in Bangkok but have little money. They met a restaurant owner’s daughter (Chosri Misommon), willing to join them as a singer. Pa (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) is their house owner. They borrow 300 000 baht from Pa but Tu has to promise to marry her daughter (Orasa Isarangkul) Nataya. Pa knows that Tu is a potential rich heir. Lor Tok proposes ideas for their nightclub promotion. Tu’s concept is that art belongs to everybody. Hirun wants to be sure his nephews will fail so he hires ruffians to destroy their nightclub. The ruffians steal their money so Tu and his friends decide to serve and cook by themselves. Hirun comes on the opening day with a bunch of tough ruffians to make noise and also kidnap the performing girls. Indian actor Banglae (บังเละ) is acting as nightclub guard. Kingkaew always find solutions to problems occurring. The ruffians drunk the cook and waiters to delay orders. Hirun takes the teacher (ครู) Rangsun’s piano as he didn't pay his rent due to sickness. Adul Dulyarat is a doctor trying to save the teacher Rangsun. Hirun sends his ruffians to create a brawl in order to destroy the nightclub. Artist should be protected. The Thai King giving cinema awards inspires them not to stop fighting (ศีลปินไม่เคยตาย). By hazard, Tum and her friends have chance to release the crazy woman called Nat. Another uncle of Tu called Sompong is released from prison after twenty years. He narrates to Tu the story of his father betrayed by his own brother Hirun and who finally committed suicide. Nat is reunited with her two children, Tu and Tum. All the money of Hirun is coming from the one million baht that the father gave him to raise his children. They promise to take revenge on his 60th birthday coming soon. Hirun has to face the truth on his birthday turning to be a nightmare for him. He finally lost his whole fortune. The nightclub featuring arts becomes a huge success. This movie features 14 songs. A double DVD (3h20mn) including the 35mm movie fully restored was released by Thai Film Archives. The whole movie should even be a bit longer as the song หญ้าโลมดิน sung by Mitr and Petchara is missing. It is present on the VHS version and on a 16mm version left. Another movie version was released in year 1983. Two TV series were released in years 1997 and 2007. The producer is Prince หม่อมอุบล ยุคล. This movie includes more than 60 Thai actors, actresses and singers. Petchara got a Thai cinema reward for this movie. This movie is part of the second 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2012, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day.

Pla Boo Tong (ปลาบู่ทอง) movie with Chaiya Suriyun and Pawana Chanajit was released in year 1965. The movie is lost in Thailand but a short extract was found in year 2013 thanks to a ThaiCine fan. The extract has still a colorful image and is only three minutes left. Other actors are Daonoi Duangjai, Preeya Roongrueng, Sukon Koewliam, Malee Wetpraseri, Somkuan Krajangsat, Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit and Sulaleewan Suwanthat (ป้า สุลาลีวัลย์ สุวรรณทัต) as a witch. The short extract shows a "kuman thong" child, the mother spirit imprisoned in a bird and Chaiya Suriyun and Pawana Chanajit together. Old still pictures of this last sequence can still be found. This story has been played many times through TV series and through movies (1965, 1972 from TV to cinema, 1979 with Lalana Sulawan, 1984 with Suriya, 1994). Certainly there is a need to find a more recent version in order to better understand this three minutes old trailer. In the past, such movies needed four people to perform the dubbing.

Pissamai's father visits her knowing she is now a star and married to a rich man. Pissamai is very bad (ร้าย) as she chases away her father and younger brother by trying to give them money. The left sequence ends here. Another recent version was shot in 1981 and features Sorapong Chatree and Pisarn Akraseranee. Thai TV series were also released.
