Thai movie เกจิ คนฆ่าผี / Gegi the spirit hunter was released in year 2024 and lasts 1h43mn. The movie director is เมษ ยิ้มสมบูรณ์. A young man Kaew (ปั้นจั่น ปรมะ อิ่มอโนทัย) gets a powerful baby spirit (กุมารทอง) in a cemetery by stealing the child of a woman who died during pregnancy. The young man also gets corpse oil (น้ำมันพราย) to make love philter. He uses the sacred knife (มิดหมอ) from his master (อาจารย์) without asking for authorisation. He wishes to become a spirit doctor (หมอผี). Right now he is only a disciple (ลูกศิษย์). He wants to make quick money to be able to marry Soi (เดียร์ สุภาวดี กิติโสภากุล). He took risks to get those sacred artifacts. His master asks him to give them back to the dead spirits before it is too late for him. Kaew claims he can become a more powerful spirit doctor than his own master. The movie takes place around year 1977 as a poster of Thai movie เพื่อนรัก is displayed. Local subdistrict headman asks Kaew to perform exorcism (ปราบผี) in a school as his own master refuses to do it. The subdistrict headman wishes to sell the land, but nobody wants to buy it knowing that a young lady hanged herself there. Kaew accepts for 150,000 THB to be able to pay the dot (สินสอด) to marry Soi. He arrives drunk as he doesn't feel comfortable. Soi, worried he is late, looks for Kaew. It turns out to be a disaster as the spirit fights back against Kaew. Soi is even possessed by the spirit and is about to strangle Kaew. Luckily the master neutralizes Soi thanks to his sacred necklace. The master blames Kaew as a spirit doctor who shall help spirits to rebirth and not to kill them. The spirit possesses Kaew and Kaew kills his own master! The spirit finally dies as the master frees Kaew before dying. Kaew decides to leave the village as he almost caused Soi to die. He asks his friend In to take care of Soi. In refuses as he knows Soi loves Kaew only, so Kaew gives love philter to In (โจอี้ ชัยยุทธ กิติชัยวัฒน์ ) to ensure Soi loves him. Soi now loves In. Kaew ends up in a small city and keeps drinking. He helps a kid eating spirit food (อาหารไว้) in a Buddhist temple and being possessed. The kid asks to stay with him. Kaew forbids the kid to go to the second floor. Meanwhile In and Soi get married. Soi starts to change. Following a spirit game, one participant is possessed and Kaew is requested to help for exorcism. It is a success despite Kaew being drunk (ผีออกแล้ว). Soi is now pregnant. The kid wishes to become a spirit doctor. Soi finds the love philter in In's clothes and realises she has been lied to. She doesn't love In. Soi finds Kaew. She tells him that In is dead already. He didn't wake up while sleeping. Romance happens between Kaew and Soi. In fact, Soi is possessed by the spirit looking to get back her baby that Kaew stole earlier. Having forgotten the sacred knife in their home, the child sees Soi preparing ghost food. The ghost kills the kid to avoid him telling the truth to Kaew. Kaew arrives too late and understands the truth. Soi felt upset as the lady ghost told her that Kaew basically gave her to In. The lady ghost killed In and Soi got suicide by hanging. As she wanted to meet Kaew again, the lady ghost promised to help if Soi helps her to get back her baby. Soi refuses to kill Kaew despite the lady ghost asking her. Kaew neutralizes the lady ghost. Understanding his mistakes that caused the suffering of many people, Kaew promises to change. He gives back the baby foetus to the lady ghost and she can be reborn. Soi also. He wishes to help all the ghosts he hurt to rebirth. Once done, the kid, now being a ghost, tells him that his final path will be to become a monk.

Thai movie สัปเหร่อ / The Undertaker was released in year 2023 and lasted 2h00mn. It is the next sequel of ไทบ้าน เดอะซีรีส์ 2.2 / Thibaan The Series 2 Part II. It was released under DVD format. The movie was a huge success. It made 730M THB all over Thailand and had been one of the most successful Thai movies ever. The initial investment was 15M THB. A young man called Jack (นฤพล ใยอิ้ม), studying law, is back from Bangkok. He will study at home in the village. His father is an undertaker. Pong (Somchai Saiutha) is becoming a monk through ordination ceremony. Bai Khao’s mother invites Chieng (Chatchai Chinsri) to a ceremony for the deceased. Chieng joins as old boyfriend (แฟนเก่า). The participants all throw eggs. Only Chieng’s egg is broken and so it selects where to do the cremation. Chieng asks how to see ghosts (วิธีเห็นผี). Chieng believes Bai Khao has something to tell him. Chieng asks many people. Meanwhile in the village, people are seeing Bai Khao’s ghost. Finally monk Pong tells him to check with crazy people as they often have a sixth sense. Chieng asks Bird as he wishes to communicate with Bai Khao. Two people die in the village. The former husband sees Bai Khao being pregnant and full of blood in a nightmare. Chieng wished to ask the undertaker to help him to see Bai Khao. Jack's father, Sak, has an accident and has to stop working as an undertaker for a while. Jack tries to find a replacement, but nobody accepts. So finally he has to do it to help his father. They ask Chieng to help as Jack is afraid of ghosts. As a reward, Sak promises to teach him how to do astral travel in order to meet Bai Khao. Lot (Nattawut Sanyabut) helps him during the first trial. During a second trial, Chieng finally meets Bai Khao. He wishes to fulfil a promise, i.e. visit a waterfall with her. Meanwhile Jack and Chieng start their job as undertaker and face various challenges as some deceased are from Christian, Muslim religion, so they don’t know the customs to be applied. Somebody even makes a cremation ceremony for his dog. Bai Khao roams in the village at nighttime, so a curfew is decided by the village leader. Jack’s father is getting severely sick due to cancer and ends up at hospital. Back home, he knows he doesn't have much time left, so he wishes to eat spicy food. Meanwhile Chieng continues to meet Bai Khao during astral travel. He wishes to stay with her. Chieng is in a bad mood with everyone including his new girlfriend. He tries to stop Bai Khao’s cremation ceremony. The ceremony is already delayed as Jack learns that his father just died. Chieng brings a mess to the father's funeral as he wishes Jack to replace his father and brings him through an astral trip. Fighting happens between Jack and Chieng. Finally Chieng calms down when he receives love from his grandmother. Only love can heal love. Jack buries his father and goes to pass his exam. Chieng reconciles with his girlfriend and grandmother, understanding that he needs to care for people still being there.
