In mid 2010s, it was re-mastered by Five Star production company and shown on True Thai Film cable TV channel. Prisana (Jarunee Sooksawad) is a young Thai lady coming back from USA. Her life vision is influenced by her American education. Her future mate choice should be based on love and not based on family choice or wealth. Will she overcome Thai high society rules? Her father was dead before she was born so her grandmother even refused to recognize Prisana as her granddaughter. Prisana’s mother (Marasri Bangchang) welcomes her daughter back from USA after studying 12 years there. It is hard for Prisana to get used to conservative Thai behavior. Fed up at home, Prisana decides to become a teacher (ครู) so she makes herself older. She has two sisters, Seri and Anong. Her older sister has a boyfriend called Sameu (Suchao Pongwilai). One of the student is daughter of a high-level family (ท่านหญิง). Prisana has authority issue with students as the daughter organises rebellion. Prisana teaches her a strong lesson so her brother, Chai, hears about Prisana for the first time. Prawit (เอกลักษณ์ ยลระบิล) meets Anong (ปัทมา ปานทอง) again. Seeing Prisana, Prawit forgets Anong and focus on Prisana only. Chai (Kriengkrai Unhanan) is Prawit's close friend. Chai invites all of them at a party at his home. Ratree (Linda Khatancharoen), Chai’s fiance, is upset as Chai dances with Prisana. Ratree is expecting to marry Chai. It is Prisana’s birthday. Chai offers her a dog. Prawit offer her a bracelet. Both men are enamoured with Prisana. Following a family trip in Hua Hin, Prisana announces she will not marry Prawit so Anong is happy. Chai is getting closer to Prisana (น่ารักที่สุด). Seeing Ratree unsuccessful to get Chai's love, Sameu tries his luck and kisses Ratree (มนุษย์หลอกลวง). Seri (Anchalee Chaisiri) sees them and is disappointed. Neighbour Anoon (ปรัชญา อัครพล) is back from America and tries to become close to Prisana. Chai tells Prisana that Prawit wants to marry her, so she becomes very upset. Finally, Prawit accepts to marry Anong as he knows he has no more chance with. Chai's aunt (Sarinthip Siriwan) is also very upset as she understands Chai's plan to marry Prisana instead of Ratree, his fiancee. Chai has arguments with his aunt as he refuses to marry Ratree. He doesn't love her and consider her as a younger sister (น้อง). The aunt and Ratree threaten Prisana. Prisana is seen by them as low status girl. The aunt wants this wedding to occur in order to keep money inside the family. At Prawit’s wedding, Chai asks Prisana's hand but she doesn't believe him. Prisana is fed up by those high society people. Chai finally offers her a ring for engagement. Pushed by the aunt and Ratree, elder lady Marasri Isarangkul summons both Chai and Prisana. Prisana is looked down again but hopefully her uncle Adul Dulyarat can testify she is the real daughter of his defunct brother. Both the aunt and Ratree lose face and love can blossom between Prisana and Chai.

Thai movie สะใภ้ลูกทุ่ง was released in year 1982 and lasts 1h48mn. It was released under VCD format by Lepso and Happy Time companies. Movie director is ดริน ดารากร. Mui (Naowarat Yooktanun) and Khaem (Mayura Thanabutr) are sisters and have arguments with their mother Malee (Malee Wetpraseri). It seems that Malee is preparing an arranged wedding with a Bangkokian young man. It could be Ati (Toon Hiransap) or At (ยิ่งใหญ่ อายะนันท์), a gay man. Mui is upset as she read a letter sent by Ati looking down her sister (บ้านนอก, เมียลูกทุ่ง). The two young men are also upset as they don't plan to get married. Waew (Janthana Siriporn) is playing a comic domestic helper. Ati's Father is played by Somchai Samipak. Ati simulates being sick so only his mother (Phong Lada Pimolpan) and At are going to Ubon. Ati has multiple girlfriends. So being in trouble with them, he finally also goes to Ubon. Ati meets Mui as he is hurt by her motorbike. He meets her father Sor Asanajinda. When realizing that Ati is the Bangkok guy who wrote the nasty letter, she chases him away. Chok (อนุสรณ์ เดชะปัญญา), At's boyfriend (แฟน), needs 100 000 baht to finish his doctor studies. Sor has also a debt towards Somchai and his wife as he borrowed money to pay Mui's doctor studies so that is why his family has to agree to a wedding. Mui is upset with Bangkok people, who denigrate (ดูถูก) countryside people. To get the 100 000 baht from Malee, At accepts to marry Khaem but there is no love. The mother uses Khaem as her slave. At prepares to divorce by claiming Khaem has an affair with doctor Chok. Chok acknowledges due to the debt he owes to Ati. Mui, being doctor student with Chok, is upset by his behavior and discloses to the whole family that it is only a lie as Chok and At are gays. Sor has died so Mui and Khaem go back to Ubon. Chok keeps drinking as he loved secretly Mui and is ashamed of his behavior (ไม่น่าบัดซบ). Ati finally marries Mui but his mother keeps being upset having Mui as daughter in law. The mother now invents a relationship between Chok and Mui to ruin Ati's wedding. Malee, being sick, is cured by Mui (หมอเทวดา) so relationship is improved between Mui and Malee. Chok and Khaem finally marry as Chok wishes to repair his previous mistakes. Somchai forces his wife to change her behavior. At tries to shoot Chok during the wedding but Ati interposes and gets shot. Mui cures him. The mother apologizes to Mui and happiness is back in the family. An old doctor friend visits Et (Toon Hiransap). Et asks for Thip's hand (Jarunee Sooksawad). Thip's father (Somchai Samipak) has a shock. Et visits his doctor friend to find a solution. Chosri Misommon and Doo Dook Kradon are playing crazy patients (อย่าถือคนบ้า ว่าคนเม่า). One of the kids, Mee, is kidnapped by Suchao Pongwilai. Suchao is asking for 300 000 baht as ransom. The kid succeeds to escape and even tricks his kidnappers. The kidnappers lie to Et and capture him. He still has to give a ransom to be released. Luckily the Police is passing by and he can escape. Ruffians are finally identified and jailed by Police. Et can finally marry Thip. Et and Thip are singing a song reminding of วัยอลวน movie in 1975. วัยอลวน was also director by Piak Poster. His old doctor friend (จิรศักดิ์ อิศรางกูร) asks him for help. He needs him to take care about a lady's best friend so that he can focus to seduce her without having a chaperon always around. Et teaches her tennis. Thip sees him with that lady and back home, he gets severely beaten and even falls from the stairs. Incantations (คาถา) from the grandfather are used to make people smaller or bigger so that he is not humiliated by his wife anymore but it is only a dream. Believing Et is becoming crazy as he keeps mumbling incantations, Thip calls the doctor to check his condition. The doctor asks Thip to be nice towards Et as he missed love when he was a kid. Thip announced to the head of school (Juree Osiri) that she quits her job to take care about her home. It is Thip's birthday. As Thip is wearing old style clothes so one of her friend restyles her. So she becomes sexy (คุณย่าเซ็กซี่). Love is back between Et and Thip. The movie can end happily.

A rich man, Sayongphu, is fed up with modern Thai women. They are more interested in his money than his heart. He decides to play a poor man in order to seduce a lady called Waew. She is offered a car to use. She decides to find him to know why he is behaving this way. Failing to find him, she collides Chak's old car. She goes to his home and discover his world. For her also goodness (ความดี) is more important than money. She goes to Pattaya with friends and Chak. San complains to Waew's mother but she cannot help him as she cannot control her daughter's heart (เลี้ยงตัวได้ เลี้ยงหัวใจไม่ได้). Waew starts to appreciate Chak very much but still try to know who is Sayongphu. When Chak asks to marry Waew, she first refuses as she is worried to be a financial burden for poor Chak. It leads Chak to believe that Waew is also only interested by money. Once misunderstanding is clarified, Waew and Chak marry and Chak admits he is Sayongphu. This movie is a typical good mood romance movie from early 1980s with superstars Sorapong Chatree and Jarunee Sooksawad.

This folk-music movie is a remake of one of the most famous Thai movie (มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง) shot in 1970. It features 14 folk songs or "LUUK THUNG" songs. It is about a love story between a poor peasant, Klao, and a young woman, Thong Kwao, coming from a rich family. It includes also three other side love stories between Bupfa, Thong Kwao's sister, and Waen, Klao's friend, between Sai Chai and a policeman and between a Northeaster worker and Sai Chai's sister. Both Sai Chai and Thong Kwao are arguing over Klao as both of them love him. Klao promises to marry Thong Kwao as soon as he has enough money for the dower. A local godfather is lending money to poor peasants and get their land title when they are not able to refund the money. Klao's mother has debts with the godfather. Hopefully Tong Kwao is able to help. This upsets the godfather as he cannot get the land title. To ease the situation with the godfather, the parents send Thong Kwao and her sister to Bangkok to learn clothes fashion design. In fact Thong Kwao's parents are worried about the family assets if their daughter marries a poor man so they send her to Bangkok so that she can be far away from Klao. They promise Thong Kwao that they will accept Klao's proposal for marriage if it happens. Floods happen and rice crops is destroyed. Thong Kwao can only offer a small dower. Thong Kwao's parents refuse Klao's proposal for marriage and request an expensive dower (ค่าสินสอด), i.e. 100 000 Baht (สิบหมื่น). while in Bangkok, a bad businessman is courting Thong Kwao. He has already a girlfriend but is interested to marry Thong Kwao in order to get money to save his non prosper company. Various misunderstandings happen between Klao and Thong Kwao as they both believe they didn't keep their promise but love will win.

Thai movie พยัคฆ์ร้าย 6 แผ่นดิน / Asian King was released in year 1982 and lasts 1h48mn (Thai PBS version is only 1h42mn as reduced version with smoking / drinking sequences blurred and violent or sexy sequences cut). It was released under VCD format by Lepso Studio. The movie was also released overseas under the name "Top Team Force" by Filmark movie. It was also released under the name "Deadly Hunt" under VHS format in Sweden by company Video World. An international police squad (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea and Philippines) investigates on a crime ring called "Asian King". The Police squad (ตำรวจสากล) is led by Somchai Samipak. The "Asian King" gang is led by Bulap (Sahat Piempongsan) and เมือง อพอลโล่. In Hong Kong, Rith Luecha performs a robbery inside a jewellery. The owner is shot by Rith. David is against the shooting so he gets knockout by Rith. Rith and his men flee and meet with their local boss, Suchao Pongwilai. Police chase them but they succeed to escape by boat. David, arrested by Hong Kong police, is accused of international diamond robbery but released as proofs are not enough. Thai police follows him to spy his activities as they still have doubts on him. A whole international Police team is gathering to fight the Asian King gang. Win (Sorapong Chatree) is one of the Police team leader. Lady Napossa (Naowarat Yooktanun) joins the team as her jeweller father was killed by Asian King gang. David is back to Thailand as he wants to get revenge over the "Asian King" gang, who killed his family as retaliation. Diamonds are stolen again during a Bangkok diamond show despite the police presence. David saves Suwana’s life (Piyamas Monayakol) by being shot instead of her. Catherine (Chaweewan Boonprok), part of Asian King team, gets the tasks to kill some male policemen. She targets David first but fails. Songthong is part of Thai police also. Rumours are heard that Asian King team needs to gather in Pattaya. Asian King team tries all ways to get rid of the special police force but to no avail. Asian King team’s cache entrance is hidden under a hotel swimming pool. Two members are captured and Songthong is shot dead. Win and Napossa are also captured. The other members localise also the cache. All members succeed to escape. The Thai army comes to help the policemen to neutralize the Asian King tean. Through a final battle, many characters are injured or killed while assaulting the Asian King gang’s fortress. Win's self sacrifice inside the fortress succeeds to destroy it. A Thai TV serie or Lakorn (ละคร) based on this story was also done in 2003. Despite a classic scenario, the highest value of this movie is to include the finest bunch of Thai actors from beginning of 1980s decade.

The police is looking after a gang called "the four Kings" that extorts money from businessmen. The police is contacting a former repentant to get information but this one refuses to get involved in order to protect his family. Unfortunately, the "four Kings" gang, believing that the former repentant is helping the police, decides to kill him. They retaliate over his wife and daughter, who are killed. The former repentant then decides to fight "the four Kings" gang until death. A first version of this movie was released in year 1959. It featured Chaiya Suriyun and Amara Asavananda as main actors.

This movie is based on the folklore story "Khun Chang Khun Paen" (ขุนช้างขุนแผน) but only on a limited part of the whole story. During Ayutthaya period, a middle age man, Master Taen (อาจารย์เถร), has strong magic knowledge (วิชา) so can seduce women through spells and can transform himself into a ferocious crocodile. His young apprentice (ลูกศิษย์) can also become a fierce crocodile. Young ladies Simala and Soifa are the wives of noble Phra Phi but Phra Phi spends all nights with Simala. Soifa becomes very jaleous and asks Master Taen to help her. Master Taen uses black magic incantations. Simala and Phra Phi get tortured like voodoo puppets. Due to incantations (พิธี), Simala gets a defigured face so that Phra Phi goes back to Soifa. Phra Chumpoon, Phra Phi's brother, tries to defend Simila. Soifa asks Master Taen for a love filter to force Simala having an affair with Phra Chumpoon so that she can be repudiated by Phra Phi. Nothing happens but Phra Phi nevertheless chases her. Phra Chumpoon asks for his father's help. The father, Paen, sees that his son is under spell influence. Soifa starts to panic. The king orders to arrest Master Taen but Master Taen and his apprentice become crocodiles to kill the soldiers. A reward is offered to catch the crocodiles. Paen searches for evidence such as wax effigy inside the bedroom. But nothing found as Soifa hides it well but Paen succeeds to find it and breaks the spell (พิธีแก้) for Simala. Master Taen sends an evil spirit to fight Paen but Paen's baby spirit (กุมารทอง) helps him. Master Taen is arrested by Phra Chumpoon. He refuses to break the spell for Phra Pi. Simala and Soifa need to show their purity (บริสุทธิ์) by walking without pain on hot charcoal. Soifa fails (ความดีต้องชนะความชั่ว) and is chased in Northern Thailand. The two crocodiles continue their rampage until they are stopped by Paen and Phra Chumpoon. Master Taen is defeated and killed by Phra Chumpoon. Characters are similar to traditional theatre "Like" (ลิเก), i.e. the leading actor (พระเอก), the leading actress (นางเอก), the jealous girl (นางเอก), the funny and hilarious supportive maids (ตัวตลก). This is another movie from famous Chaiyo productions and produced by Sompote Sangduenchai. This is the fourth movie including crocodiles killing human again. The previous movies were Crocodile (จระเข้ - 1980), Kraithong (ไกรทอง - 1980), Kraithong 2 (ไกรทอง 2 - 1985). As often with Sompote productions, it includes light salacious content, humorous dialogues and kitsch Fx (Yak flying).

Thai Taiwanese movie "King Kong vs The Snake Phantom" / งูยักษ์ / 金刚大战蛇妖精 was released in year 1982 and lasts 1h34mn. It seems the Taiwanese version was only released in year 1987. The movie is lost in Thailand but a Chinese version with English subtitles is still available and was released under VHS format by Taiwanese company New Ship Enterprise LTD. The movie was certainly cut from the original version in order to fit the VHS format. A group of snake men led by Chat Mongkolchai storm a Miu hill tribe village and kill all villagers. A master is requested to get rid of the snake men. His team, including Chaiyan Sorakrai and his sister Piyamas Monayakol, is looking for the snakes. A rare golden snake is captured. The master is killed but many snakes get cut into pieces during the fightings. The snake king wishes to revenge. The snake men attack the village again. Thanks to a Chinese monk, the snake men are pushed back. Disguised as the monk, the snake king convinces the fierce village fighters to go on a quest. The target is that they get killed while trying to find a mystic nun. One of the village ladies become pregnant with a snake man. The Chinese monk cuts her belly full of snakes. They finally meet Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng as nun in a cave and get support from her as she offers a powerful magic golden statue. They are attacked by some forest fighters on the way back. Chaiyan Sorakrai defeats Pao Porapak. He exchanges the release of his sister and others versus Pao Porapak’s life. The movie ends up by a giant fight between the King snake and the powerful spirit present inside the golden statue. The King snake is defeated.

An impressive bunch of 1970s-1980s famous Thai actors are participating. Dam Datsakorn, more known for his ruffian leader role, is also the director. Dao Prasao (Sorapong Chatree) is similar to a lonesome cowboy but he has a strong kick (ตีนแรง) whenever somebody is looking for troubles. Taen (Toon Hiransap) wishes to befriend with Dao Prasao. Taen is chased by Sing Manorom's ruffians but gets help from Dao Prasao. Taen gives him a bag with 100 000 baht as a reward. Taeng, Taen's fiancee, is promised to ruffian Sing Manorom so Taen has no wish to live anymore. The 100 000 baht were supposed to be used while fleeing with Taeng. Diaw Dai (Wiyada Umarin), prostitute with sincere heart, helps them to hide from the ruffians. Tuang (Rith Luecha) is her evil pimp and wishes to take revenge following Diaw Dai betrayal. Dao Prasao promises to help Taen. Taeng (Jarunee Sooksawad) is the daughter of sub- district headman (kamnan) called Yot. Dao Prasao arrives as a mysterious wedding gift giver in order to enter more easily in Yot’s house. Causing a fire during the wedding eve, Dao Prasao takes profit of the mess to flee with Taeng. He is injured while helping her. Despite a plot from Tuang, all succeed to escape the ruffians. Diaw Dai has some feelings for Dao Prasao. Some feelings start also between Taeng and Dao Prasao. His real name is Kata. He left his home as his fiancee married his father while he was studying abroad. Meanwhile while visiting Taen's home, Taeng discovers he has already a fiancee! In fact his father wants to force him to marry a high society lady called Kaew (Thitima Sangkapitak). Feeling sad, Taeng is finally captured again by the ruffians. Aware of this, Dao Prasao with close friend Dang's support raid the ruffians nightclub. Jarunee excels in Thai boxing skill-set and they succeed to escape. Taeng is disappointed by Taen as he doesn't dare to oppose his father to protect their love (อยู่ในอำนาจบารมีของพ่อ). He is not as courageous as Dao Prasao. Taen feels hurt by Taeng’s words. Chumporn, head of ruffians, is leading a prostitution ring. They capture many ladies including Taeng, Kaew, Diaw Dai to sell them to an international buyer. Tuang kills Diaw Dai as a revenge. Dao Prasao and Taen successfully release the ladies through fierce fights on moving trucks and through motorized acrobatics. Taen wishes to show he has courage also. Kaew is killed during the battle. Taen and Taeng are reunited. Dao Prasao leaves them and continues his life as a lonesome cowboy. Dao Prasao has accomplishes his mission as Taen and Taeng can be happy together now. Khongra (Sorapong Chatree) is relative (หลาน) of Am Su Ra Krai (Toon Hiransap). Khongra is coming to Phailom district to visit Am. Am's team, such as Wo (Lak Apichat), needs to carry guns as the area is full of ruffians (นักเลงบ้านนอก) such as Thaem (Porjed Kaenpetch). Mr Putr is accused to have stolen (ปล้นรถไถ) Am's tractor. Local ruffians forbid farmers to cultivate the fields but as Khongra dares to bring a tractor, he has no choice but to shoot them. Later on, he helps a young lady Chairon harassed by three ruffians. Chairon is living alone as her parents died already. Thaem is defeated by Khongra on one to one fight. Friendship starts between Thaem and Khongra. Godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) Bamjong (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to recruit Khongra as he likes his style. Khongra discovers that the tractor was stolen by Mr Putr despite his disclaimer. Romance starts between Khongra and Chairon. All the illegal activities are handled by a local few godfathers including lady Sa (Aranya Namwong), Bamjong, Dam (Dam Datsakorn) and Reut (Rith Luecha). Chairon has been kidnapped and Khongra is ordered to leave the area within 24 hours. Meanwhile Khongra (เสียตัว) is also kidnapped by mysterious Amazons (Sopha played by Wiyada Umarin and Thitima Sangkapitak) but succeeds to escape. Gnoh (Kowit Wattanakul) is a policeman coming to arrest drug traffickers believed to be linked to local ruffians. Am, Khongra storm Putr's home to know where Chairon is. Before dying, Putr just says she is located at Beung Mai. While going to Beung Mai, they meet Sopha again. It is a trick to split Am, Wo and Khongra. In a fierce shooting, Wo is killed. Sa is suspected to have kidnapped Am. Khongra and Thaem are captured and imprisoned with Am. Chairon provides a hidden message but her behavior is noticed by the guard (ทรยศ). Chairon and Sopha are sentenced to death by Sa. Hopefully Khongra, who succeeds to escape, helps them on time. A festival for farmers is happening in Phailom district. Khongra is aware of the ruffians’ plan to intimidate farmers in order to finally possess the whole land in the area. Explosions happen during the festivities. Following various shootings and car chasing, all ruffians are killed or captured by Khongra, Am and police led by Gnoh. ทอง ภาค 2 / Goldraider is a sequel of ทอง ภาค 1. It was released in year 1982. It lasts 1h33mn. It is a DVD featuring English language with Thai subtitles. The plane leaving Laos with gold bars is shot down. There is a stock valued 200M USD on board. Cheut (Sombat Methanee) and Satra (Krung Srivilai), both present in first sequel, succeed to jump by parachute. Cheut ends in a mountain village where Wassana Sitthiweth is a teacher. Satra ends in another village led by Somchai Samipak and is accused of being a spy. As one leader wishes to marry Naowarat Yooktanun, Satra's life is spared as he needs to offer gold for the wedding. So Satra must lead them. Another team led by Mark (Robert Ginty) and including Cordelia (Sarah Langenfeld), Penpoin (Lalana Sulawan) - explosive expert -, Rith Luecha – knife expert - and others is on the way to the border to prevent communists to grab the gold bars. The commando has to get back three big boxes containing weapons and delivered by planes. The Laotian leader is a general (Manop Aussawathep), who has a crippled leg. He has to catch the gold raiders and find the gold bars to give back to his commander Sahat Piempongsan. While crossing a ravine, the gold raiders get reunited with Satra and Naowarat, who were fleeing from the Laotian soldiers. They finally all get captured except Mark, who flees through his flying motorcycle. Penpoin recognises her former Thai boyfriend, who is now a captain in the communist army. At night time, Mark releases them and they storm the ruffians' camp. As the village chief was killed, Naowarat guides them to the plane. They succeed to steal the gold bars from the laotian soldiers and rush to the Mekong river to wait for US helicopters. Manop Aussawathep tries to steal the gold from his own commander Sahat Piempongsan. Laotian army reinforcement arrives but the gold raiders succeed to slow them down. Gold is finally extracted but 5 of the gold raiders have lost their lives during the expedition.

Lao Thong buys guns from her brother Lao (Phairoj Jaising), who tries to get rid of him and Lak. Soyi helps Lao Thong to flee so causing her brother's ire. A mysterious soldier (Hong Kong actor ฉีเส้าเฉียน / Norman Chu), called Norman, helps Asuma and her sister aggressed by ruffians. Tong Chi fights against Norman as he believes he tries to seduce Asuma. Lao Thong and Norman also fight. Norman asks to meet Lao to buy weapons. Norman kidnaps Soyi as he wishes to infiltrate the ruffians. Lao tries to release his sister but he is defeated by Norman. Lao Thong releases Soyi and takes away the weapons with Tong Chi. Lao Thong defeats Norman but spares his life. Tong Chi hides weapons inside Lisu village. The village is stormed by ruffians. All gather to storm the ruffians' place. The big leader is identified as Decha (Kecha Plianvithee). Fightings and explosions occur with all ruffians being killed but unfortunately Lao and Tong Chi also die.

Sorapong, disguised as a fleeing prisoner, is attacked by a plane and then is arrested by Khun Sa's men. Siriporn (ศิริพร เอี่ยมสุนทร), daughter of Khun Sa, saves his life but he remains tied. Manop learns that the Burmese soldiers who attacked him are in fact soldiers linked to Khun Sa as real Burmese soldiers would not dare entering Thai soil. Upset, Manop and Nirut storm Khun Sa's HQ but get captured. Sorapong wins Siriporn‘s trust. Khun Sa believes there is a traitor in the camp. Sorapong sympathizes with other men, who are part of the government. Siriporn complains her father produces too much drugs. Drug is given to prisoners to keep them under control. Sorapong succeeds to have his friends escaping but he is then captured. About to be hanged, Sorapong is released by his teammates. Thai forces’ attacks against the camp happen. Many people die but Khun Sa succeeds to flee in Burma. This movie is often considered as Thai remake of US movie "Apocalypse Now" by Francis Ford Coppola.

Boonleuang is a lady coming from a poor family. She married Cheut coming from a rich noble family (ผู้ดี). Cheut's mother never accepted that her son marries such lady. Chai has become a professional killer and also loves Saichai. He tries to force her to become his wife but fails. When trying to kill Sak, he injures Saichai. The former neighbour exits from prison after 20 years and announces to his son, Chai, that Saichai is in fact his sister. This latter ashamed by his former behavior and knowing that Sia has placed a bomb under Sak's car sacrifices his life for his sister to have happiness with Sak. Boonleuang finally learns that Sak is her son. Knowing that Sia wants to kill Sak, she tries to stop him. He refuses. Sia is killed and Boonleuang recognizes she is the murderer. She has to go to trial. Sak is the defense lawyer but Cheut, Sak's father, is the defendant layer to protect Boonleuang. The son against the father. Saichai asks for pity for his mother but Sak refuses to mix love and professional duty. Sak is very harsh against her mother during the trial. The former neighbour acknowledges that Boonleuang only injured Sia but that he is the one that killed him. Sak acknowledges his defeat. Once Sak realizes that Boonleuang is his mother, it is too late, she has died due to deep sorrows.

Knowing this, Yupa prefers to leave in order to secure her small sister's future. Finally the family has another child called Thanee but keeps the secret about the other child named Wilai. Children are now grown up. Decha is deeply involved in robbing, pickpocket activities and even heroin traffic. Yupa (Nanthida Kaewbuasai) is begging as she is almost blind. Decha tries to seduce Wilai, an university student coming from a well-off family, whose wallet has been stolen by his team. Thanee, jealous about Decha, reveals to Wilai the robber background of Decha. Decha complains that no chance is given to him like his father (อยากเป็นคนดี). Thanee (ลูกอิจฉา) also reveals to Wilai that she is not real daughter but just an adopted street child. Reading a newspaper, Wilai's stepfather finds that Wilai's real grandparents search their grandchildren to give their heritage. Hearing a little girl singing his mother lullaby, Decha is able to find back Yupa. Yupa is not aware from where Decha money is coming from. Finally through a final touching sequence Decha loses a potential love with Wilai but finds back his lost sister. This strong drama movie highlights brother-sister bonds (พี่น้องต้องรักกัน).

Angels with Golden Guns / Virgin Apocalypse is a IFD movie released in year 1981 and based on a Thai movie named อีสาวทรหด released in year 1982. The DVD lasts 1h22mn. It is HK Thai co production. Two versions were released, i.e. one for Thailand with actor Kraison Saenganan and one for Hong Kong with a Chinese actor. The HK version was released in Thailand under the name สวยประหาร ผ่าดงปืน. It seems that the original Thai version was never released on VHS, VCD or DVD in Thailand. A group of women tries to flee but they are caught back, tortured and some left as dead. They are forced to prostitution to bring money to the local mafia. Two fake film producers are looking for models in nightclub then a group of girls is kidnapped during a shooting session. A policeman tries to get the truth from the fake movie producer but gets captured. Among the girls, there are Piyamas Monayakol and Penpak Sirikul. Fighting happens at night time between two groups of girls. They are punished. But finally they try to escape again but get captured back through some shooting sequences over the river Kwai bridge. The rebellion leaders get caught and threatened. Two groups of ladies keep fighting. Used and abused, they must unite to fight. Rebellion happens and many dead happen on both sides as Piyamas and Penpak succeed to get M16 rifles. Their goal is now to catch the big boss. They kill his sbires one by one to reach him. The three ladies work with the cop to catch him.

It is about "ISAN" (อีสาน), area in the Northeast of Thailand. This is the poorest area in Thailand. This movie relates the life of Koon, a small boy living in a village. It is based on the book "A Child of the Northeast" ("LUK ISAN" - ลูกอีสาน) written by Kampoon Boontawee. It has won Thailand's first SEAW ite Award in 1979. The film is shot in Lao language. It shows the harsh life of Isan farmers. Some villagers are leaving the area due to drought. Remaining villagers have to quest for water every day. Raining is not coming so a cat ceremony is organized. Water is thrown to an encaged cat in order that his shouts make the rain deity to take pity on him. Monks are the advisors of the communauty and children go to schools located inside temples. Village shops are held by Vietnamese and Chinese people who argue together to sell goods to local people. Koon's family is setting up a caravan to go to the Mun river and stock fishes for a few months. Koon learns hunting skills from his father. Koon's cousin has to marry swiftly as her parents found she spent a whole night with one young man. Molam singers visit the village bringing joy and news from the outside world. An old woman is lamenting on her future as her husband is dead and her daughter only wishes to quit the village and its harsh life. This movie is winner of several international awards and was selected for the 1983 Berlin Film Festival. This movie is part of the first 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2011, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day.

Oi (Jarunee Sooksawad) is leaving her village and is going to the city (กรุง) to find a work. Teum (Krailat Kriengkrai) proposes to help. After a long trip, they reach the textile factory (คนงานใหม่). Rangsan (Kriengkrai Unhanan) as factory manager (ผู้จัดการ) agrees to recruit Oi and her two friends. Rotchai is the factory controller (ห้าม, ไม่อนุญาต). Factory workers sleep in dormitory and share big bathroom. The factory manager seems to like Oi a lot. His parents are played by famous veteran actor Somchai Samipak and veteran actress Juree Osiri. Chalai is a high-so girl pushed by Rangsan's mother to marry her son. Working conditions are hard in the factory, i.e. hot and noisy environment. Japanese investors are visiting the factory. Yamada, the Japanese factory owner, wants Oi to represent the Thai factory in Japan as angel protector. Everybody is stunned by Oi's beauty when she wears traditional clothes. Molam song is used as soundtrack (สาวโรงงาน). Oi is split between her boyfriend waiting for her in Isan and the strong interest shown by the factory manager Rangsan. There is a contest in the factory similar to Songkran festival (ประกวด เทพธิดาโรงงาน or angel factory contest). Pa Chan, an old aunt (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit), working there for twenty years, gets the title. A high society fair is organized by Rangsan's parents in their home. Oi is invited (สวัสดีปีใหม่). There is a contrast between western classical music used in high society part and Molam listened in the factory. But at the end the high society people (ผู้ดี) also push each other for the buffet. Lak Apichat is playing a house guard. The fair degenerates as Chalai denigrates Oi (คนบ้านนอก) and ends up with a bowl of food on the head. Rangsan refuses to punish Oi as she didn't behave badly in her job so the mother hires ruffians but they get pushed back thanks to the taxi driver Pen (อโนเชาว์ ยอดบุตร). Many countryside people have dreams when coming to Bangkok the first time (กรุงเทพเป็นเมืองฟ้า). Some workers end up working in sauna believing work is easier and getting fast money. Pa Chan loses conscience again while working. Despite being a worker dedicated for twenty years, she is finally thrown away like a dog (is it the reward for being a slave for twenty years?). A sign shows “Safety first” but no action is taken to help Pa Chan. Rangsan explains the gesture by being worried about syndicates and wish to avoid inspections as it could mean additional expenses. Oi rescues the old lady at her home. Oi is invited in Japan and shall be selected as factory angel representative. On the day of the announcement event, Pa Chan dies of sickness in Oi's arms. Oi makes a touching speech to the factory management complaining about their lack of humanity towards Pa Chan. She quits her job and goes back to Isan. Her boyfriend is on the way to Saudi Arabia to work there one year. She finds her father. Only family is source of trust and happiness. The movie เทพธิดาโรงงาน lasts 2 hours. It has been adapted into a Thai TV serie in year 2012.

Thai movie ครูดอย was released in year 1982. It lasts 1h50mn. Four new teachers (including Piya Trakulrard, Doo Dook Kradon and Wassana Sitthiweth) are sent to Loei in a remote village located on a mountain. They are welcomed by indifferent villagers busy doing gambling (การพนัน). Teacher Sompong is already in the village. Sompong (Sorapong Chatree) indulges in alcohol (สุรา) as he feels useless. Only one monk is left in the village. Villagers seem to be very strong here (ไม่ร่วมมือ). Those new teachers teach children and adults. The school is very basic. Teacher Sompong made a pond for villagers to avoid getting water from far away. One part of the village is under influence of a ruffian managing an underground casino and wishing to undercut influence of the village headman and teacher Sompong. Wan (Nanthida Kaewbuasai) is worried about teacher Sompong. New teachers succeed to have villagers working to build new school by flattering the ruffian. They also finish teacher Sompong's task by bringing water in the village through bamboo pipes. The ruffian feels betrayed as the merit goes back to teacher Sompong. Some old people die because of cold. Teachers organise a concert donation (บริจาคคนจน) to get warm clothes for villagers. It is a success and such remote village gets awareness. Their next action is to convince village men to stop gambling. Tempting the luck (การเสี่ยงโชค) is the only hope of poor people. The teachers buy cheated dices to win village men’s money and have it reused to improve the school. Having no more pocket money, the village men keep drinking alcohol. One of the teachers simulates being sick because of the alcohol to convince them to stop drinking. Teachers convince villagers to work together and to prepare rice fields on mountains slopes. Wan is sick during rainy season and there is no more medicine. It is a nightmare to go to the nearest city and roads are stuck in the mud. There is no electricity in the village. Good weather is back. The teachers go to sell their products at the city. When they are back, Wan is dead. It is time for the four young teachers to be allocated to somewhere else. Teacher Sompong stays as he is a mountain teacher (ครูดอย) and villagers need him. Thanks to the teachers, villagers are now able to take care about themselves, take decision and do not rely on external help only. In this movie, director Surasee Phatham uses Isan music as background. His movie shows the dedication of the teachers going in remote areas with cold winter.

This is a social movie about Thai police (หนังสะท้อนชีวิต). Actors and actresses are Porjed Kaenpetch, Tuanton Kammeesri, Somchai Samipak, Krailat Kriengkrai, Moeifa, Montree Jenuksorn (มนตรี เจนอักษร), Wittaya Suk Damrong, Anchalee Chaisiri. The movie took place during Bangkok 200 years anniversary. Somchai Samipak welcomes a new promotion of fresh policemen including Thongdee, Samak, Krailat. They work in parallel with experienced policemen. Three addicts kidnap a child and ask for a car to flee. Child is released and Thongdee (Porjed Kaenpetch) even saves one of the ruffians jumping from the bridge. One policeman has seventeen years’ experience but never took bribes to make additional revenue (มือสะอาด) or additional job to make ends meet. Some policemen accept bribery and let truck drivers to go even if they committed infraction. Police inspector’s wife (Anchalee Chaisiri) doesn't follow law. Thongdee and his colleague have issues with her but her husband Tuanton Kammeesri agrees with the policemen’s actions. Tuanton Kammeesri got his position thanks to his wife. She is upset and is having an affair with drug addict. Krailat Kriengkrai is a policeman drinking alcohol. Thongdee and his colleague have issues with a child of a deputy. Rich kid believes relations can help them to avoid police. His mother is Moeifa (คุณหญิง). Even Thongdee’s boss is on Moeifa’s side and is blaming his own men. The deputy finally forces his wife and son to apologize. He blames the police boss saying that people, who build the country, are not the police inspector who stays in the air-conditioned room. Thongdee and nurse Duangjai are going to marry. Unfortunately, Thongdee is shot while police is trying to catch some robbers. Thongdee cannot speak anymore due to the injury and has to leave Thai police. Policeman salary (เงินเดือนหลวง) is very low. Two policemen families are living in a slum. One policeman, Samak, is fair. The other one is corrupted and gets extra money by getting money from citizen. Samak’s wife is fed up with her poor life and is seeing the corrupted policeman enjoying good life. Thai police help citizen and ensure law is applied (ระเบียบกฎหมาย). Police catches one deputy’s wife who was playing cards. Thai police helps a pregnant woman and a birth happens in a police car. Two Thai policemen save a lady wishing to get suicide as her husband has a minor wife. Finally, the corrupted policeman gets caught by his wife as he was having a minor wife, i.e. rich people problems... Samak is shot during a last mission before heading to his wife’s birthday. Krailat is also killed in front of Thongdee while trying to stop an altercation between small ruffians. This movie shows that they are good and dedicated Thai policemen to do their duty also and not only corrupted ones.

A new teacher (ครูใหม่) called Sirin (Jarunee Sooksawad) is recruited. She notices that two students always arrive late. One is a boy called Satit coming from a rich family (ลูกเศรษฐี). One is a girl called Kalaya coming from a slum family (สลัม). The movie highlights the importance to study for teens but also the importance for teachers to keep interest from their students (รักเรียน). This school has a strict director and strict teachers keeping the same program and activities without changes over years. Sirin tries to change this mindset. In Thai schools students show respect to their teachers in the mornign and evening (ไหว้ครู) and get hit with a stick (ลงโทษ) when they fail to obey to the school rules. Sirin faces opposition from the teacher head when she wishes to punish Satit for his bad behavior. Only the poor child Boonmee gets punished. Sirin wants to have same treatment for all children either rich or poor. A fight happens between Satit and Boonmee. Satit's elder brother, called Narit, comes to complain about the new teacher at the shool. He trusts Satit and doesn't know he is behaving badly. Kalaya has no time to study. Every early morning she has to deliver newspapers. Her father is always drunk and hit his wife. Kalaya is too ashamed to say why she is late everyday. Teachers decide to buy a bicycle for her so she doesn't have to run in the morning (same as movie Walli - วัลลี). Satit keeps stealing things. This time he steals teacher belongings and accuses Boomee. Hopefully Sirin is aware of the stratagem but Narit refuses to believe that his younger brother has problems as he is coming from a rich family. Money doesn't buy happiness... Kalaya didn't come to school since many days as her father sold the bicycle to buy alcohol. She now works in a construction site. Students decide to share the workload regarding newspapers distribution so that she can be on time in school. Following a brawl, Satit is sent to Police station. Teacher Sirin confirm (รับรอง) her students integrity so that they can be released. The school is going to take part in sport competition with other schools. They have big hope in cycling with Kalaya and Thai boxing with Boonmee. Poor children train hard while rich children just enjoy beach. Sirin sees Satit stealing the director's ring. She prevents the robbing but gets injured as Satit pushes her violently. The director doesn't believe Satit could be a robber. Losing trust in her director, Sirin resigns. Students refuse to study until Sirin is back. Finally Satit tells the truth to his brother. This one asks the director to recruit back Sirin. Sirin refuses to acknowledge the director's requests but accepts when students implore her. Competition starts. The school wins in boxing and cycling. Satit becomes a good boy. Despite strange cuts in the editing, this movie is full of good feelings, i.e. school importance, teacher dedication, studies, rich and poor society opposition...
