As belief in spirits ("PHI" - ผี) is present in everyday life (Buddha amulets, spirit doctors), it is not surprising that Thai horror movies are very popular in Thailand. Thai horror movies themes are based on Thai old stories ("MAE NAK" ghost), Thai old beliefs (ghosts such as "PHI KRASEU", ghosts refusing their death), ghost possession, love potions, black magic. Buddhist monks or "spirits doctors" ("MO PHI" - หมอผี) often help in order to get rid of powerful ghosts in Thai horror movies.

A married man, Prathan, maintained an amorous relationship with a young lady called Boom. But when he learned that Boom had fallen pregnant, he dumped her. But Boom cast a black magic curse, killing Prathan while Boom reaped the profits of his wealth, as she carried his son. But when her son died during an accident, Boom's fortune went to another minor wife of Prathan, Kamala, and her children. So Boom reclaims what she believes is rightfully hers, so she uses black magic to kill them one by one to achieve her goal.

A young photographer, Thun, and his girlfriend, Jane, accidentally crash a young woman with their car on their way back from a party. They decide to leave the dead woman and drive away. They start discovering mysterious shadows in their photographs. As they investigate the phenomenon, they find other photographs contain similar supernatural images linked to the young woman. Thun's best friends are also being haunted and Jane discovers that her boyfriend has not told her everything... Shutter was Thailand's Number One local box hit for 2004.

A writer has just finished her latest book which is a story about an evil lizard. She comes face to face with strange apparitions and a supernatural curse with lizards, but nobody believes her. Her boyfriend suggests her to go seeing a doctor for analysis, but she refuses. She soon realizes that her life is endangered and starts to discover a way to stop it without knowing that she may be the cause of this mysterious evil.

A group of friends from Bangkok decide to visit an abandoned house inhabited by a spirit who has the power to grant wishes, if promised the appropriate offering. With their graduation getting closer and closer, most of them pray for decent grades, but one of them, a skeptical girl called Moss, makes a mocking pledge that she will do anything in return for the satisfaction of her friend's desires. while their friends are careful to make sure they provide the promised offerings as their wishes are fulfilled, Muay, Pin, and Moss are not so diligent. Before long all three are subjected to a series of bloody manifestations, courtesy of an angry and vengeful spirit determined to collect what is owed.

11 contestants on a reality TV show must stay in an abandoned military prison where atrocities took place years before. The contestants must provoke the ghosts inhabiting the walls of the former prison where thousands suffered and died years before. The contestant who manages to endure the oppressing atmosphere the longest shall walk away with 5 millions Baht. The film was controversial because the setting closely matched that of Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, where the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, tortured prisoners. The film outraged Cambodians and calls were made to ban all Thai products.

Ping wishes to become a musician. He becomes a student of Master Duang, a famous master musician. Master Duang owned the mysterious drum called Peung Mang, which is said to have been made by the skin of a beautiful woman named Thip. Ping falls in love with a beautiful girl who teaches him how to master drum skills but she is in fact the ghost leaving inside the drum. Meanwhile, an arrogant musician called Muan tried to convince all the students to leave Master Duang. Some students died horribly. Even if Muan is defeated by Ping during a drum contest, things get worst and the drum becomes not only an instrument of music but also an instrument of death.

Based on a true story, supposed to have take place in a place called Kamchanod, Dr. Yuth is obsessed with finding the truth behind a newspaper report on an event in which film projectionists have been hired to screen movies for ghosts. Dr Yuth's girlfriend suffers from his obsession and wants to leave him. Two senior journalists who believe they could get journalistic fame if they uncover the whole truth take part to the enquiry. Finding the movie tapes and watching them, all of them start to see ghosts and start to loose their sanity, if not their lives. Dr. Yuth venture into Kamchanod in the hope of finding out the truth. The supernatural then merges with the reality.

Nunta is a a young woman who look after two nieces and one nephew while her brother Chai, the father of those kids is working abroad for a drug dealer. Chai is murdered and Nunta is introduced to detective Sumet who help her. Nunta is also murdered by the drug dealers. But her spirit is worrying about her kids, so she comes back home. The drug dealers are still after her family and she will do anything to protect them. No one knows she is dead. Nunta revenges the people who killed her.
