    1. Lor Tok was famous for his self-depreciating style. His personality intertwined with the characters that he portrayed in more than 1,000 movies. He played as a sidekick to the leading characters of the golden generation of Thai film duos in the 1960s, 1970s and in the 1980s. Lor Tok won Thai cinema awards for his roles in "Ko-hub", "Luangta" (หลวงตา) and in "Money, Money, Money" (เงิน เงิน เงิน).

    1. Sor Asanajinda is a famous Thai film director (he has directed more than 70 movies!) and also a famous Thai actor (he has played in more than 80 movies!). He was also a writer and journalist. Following the uprising of October 14 1973, commercial filmmakers like Sor Asanajinda put anti-dictatorship messages in his action movies. He was named a National Artist of Thailand in year 1990. The idea of having an organisation to provide welfare for senior actors was conceived by Sor Asanachinda.

    1. Kecha Plianvithee won a lifetime achievement award at the Subhanahongsas in 2010. He was a classic movie villain in the 70s and 80s. Kecha Plianvithee was a classic scene-chewing and cigar-chomping villain. He started in 1955 up to 1987 and starred in around 52 movies.

His popularity was such that when he died he was working on 18 different films, all of which had to be scrapped as he was the main star in all of them.

    1. During Thai cinema golden years, Sombat Methanee, the standard for Thai action heroes, appeared in 12 or 13 films released each year. Sombat Methanee and Aranya Namwong have moved in to acquire the position of screen deities. His very first action film was released in Thai theatres in 1963. Mr. Metanee is famous with his action sequences and has starred roles in over six hundred movies. He also tried his luck in singing. He has also achieved success as a director from his own studio, Metanee Film. The 2006 Bangkok International Film Festival honoured him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2006 he became Bangkok senator-elect and so earned the nickname of the Arnie of Thai politics.
