P Uzi (Thep Po-ngam) is released from prison and injured by a blade expert (มือมีด). Dao (Ploy Jindachot) visits her dying mother Deuan (Wiyada Umarin) at the hospital. She announces to her daughter that her father is a hitman (มือปืน) just released from prison. Deuan accepted to be a hitman's wife but didn't want her daughter to be a hitman's daughter. While recovering at the hospital, P Uzi receives also a letter from the mother announcing his real paternity. Dao's stepfather (Kowit Wattanakul) tries to rape her sister Phet. P Uzi, trying to contact Dao, helps to prevent the rape by hitting strongly the stepfather but finally gets accused of the murder. Dao is a policewoman and wishes to revenge her stepfather. P Uzi's house in Chantaburi is occupied by a small man wearing same clothes as "Kill Bill" movie and acting very weirdly so he has to retreat. Ong (Choomporn Theppitak) is P Uzi's former boss. While withdrawing money from ATM machine, P Uzi is threatened by 5 gangsters with deformed face reminding of famous actor Songthong and promoting a politician who believes he can buy all Thai people (ซองเงิน) to be elected and then gets back his money through overpriced commissions during public tenders. Hitman myth is demystified in Yuthlert Sippapak’s movies. P Uzi has even vision problems. Dao arrives in Chantaburi to look for P Uzi but finally arrests the blade expert and crazy "Kill Bill". P Uzi is recruited to get rid of one corrupted politician's helper. Meng, a corrupted politician, is looking for P Uzi’s head. Reusi does an eye chirurgical operation but the doctor, friend of Meng, makes it a failure on purpose. P Uzi wishes to kill Meng. Ed Carabao is even having a small cameo role. Meng is still not dead so P Uzi continues to chase him as Meng's men have butchered his old friend Ong. Dao chases P Uzi and shoots him while he was trying to get something from his jacket. It was not a gun but a letter. At the last minute, he finally replaces the touching letter with full explanations by a laconic letter asking for funerals. Sometimes it is better not disclose the truth. Movie "Friday Killer" (2011 ~ 3M baht revenue) is part of a trilogy including "Sunday Killer" and "Saturday Killer" (2010 ~ 15M baht revenue). "Sunday Killer" was not released in 2012. Maybe due to bad revenue results of "Friday Killer"? As usual there is a great soundtrack. This Yuthlert Sippapak movie mixes action, social messages and great humor. This movie has won the best cinematography and jury awards at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

This movie is a Thai Taiwanese production. Suriyong is working in a caretaker shop and is rejected by the society. He has always ghost visions. Following a deadly fight in Taipei, Suriyong wakes up in a Thai hospital but in somebody else’s body! He is now Asanee. He cannot remember he is married to a lady called Nakhun. He cannot speak Thai also. A Thai doctor speaking Chinese is assigned to his case. Doctors believe Asanee lost his memory (บ้าอะไร) as he cannot remember anything. Back home Nakhun doesn't believe Suriyong and tries to shoot him believing he is Asanee trying to hit her again. A mysterious secret prevails. Suriyong goes back to work as Asanee was a clerk. Some mysterious administrative letters are given to him. It seems ghosts (a woman smashed by a car, a little girl) want to give him messages. His office is inside an old administration building perfect for a scary setting. Suriyong understands he needs to stamp the letters that are in fact death certificates (ทำหน้าที่ตอบแทนเขา). Suriyong through stamping the certificates (คนปล่อยวิญญาณ) allows the spirits to have a rebirth. It seems his wife, Nakhun, has a mysterious secret towards him as Asanee’s best friend seems not so happy to see him back. Nakhun convinces Suriyong to go for a Buddhist exorcism. It takes place during the Tattoo festival at Wat Bang Phra. Monks prayers fail to liberate Suriyong. There is an impressive 360 degrees shooting inside the temple. Suriyong investigates on Asanee’s past. The doctor also conceals a secret. Suriyong understands he has the right of life or death on people (คนอยากตาย). By stamping the certificate, Suryong can become Yama, the hell guardian, and can shorten people life and sufferings. Same as Asanee before, Suriyong starts to take pleasure by killing people (สนุกฆ่าคน). Things turn badly. Asanee's body is posseded by Asanee's spirit again and Suriyong’s spirit is expelled. Only the doctor can see him. Asanee tries to kill Nakhun again. The only way to stop Asanee is to stamp his death certificate. Suriyong, thanks to the doctor help, can stop Asanee on time and recovers his body. Nakhun then shots Suriyong as she has a lover. Both Asanee and Suriyong are now really dead and Nakhun can enjoy the heritage with her lover.

Kluey is working in a Likay theater (ลิเก) in Nakhon Pathom. One day Kluey makes an offering to a shrine spirit and invites the spirit to watch Likay. A comic deity comes every evening to enjoy the Likay performance. Kluey is single and always dreams about Fa, a Thai actress (ดารา). Kluey gets always mocked (โดนแกล้ง) by others. Only a young woman called Oum has interest in him but he is not aware of it. He is so sad that the comic deity (เทวดา) decides to help him. Kluey asks wishes to the deity. He wishes to get 500 000 baht and Fa to be his girlfriend. But the deity makes the reality different from his dreams! He has to become a robber to get 500 000 baht from a 7-11 eleven shop and has Fa as hostage. As the deity always misinterprets Kluey's wishes, it creates various humorous sequences. In one sequence, he is the monk wishing to expulse the spirit from Buppha Rahtree (บุปผาราตรี) played by Fa. It is an hommage to Thai director Yuthlert Sippapak for his Buppha Rahtree movie saga blending horror and comedy. Then in another sequence Kluey is a grandfather (ปู่) in a hospital visited by his granddaughter as he wished that Fa takes care about him. In the last sequence he wishes to be a rich star to be able to seduce Fa. Finally he understands that he has to be himself (เป็นตัวเอง). He also realizes that love was close to him with Oum. There is a happy ending.

A young nurse is transferred to an old hospital. During Vietnam war some Thai soldiers are facing the Vietcong resistance. It is their last days of their engagement. One of them, Athit, has a Vietnamese girlfriend called Cheut Cheun, but needs to be separated from her. Athit promises to come back. Due to the South Vietnam invasion by North Vietnam, he cannot keep his promise. Many Vietnamese boat people then flee to Hong Kong. Cheut Cheun's father forces his daughter to leave Vietnam in order to secure a better future for her. The smugglers are part of the mafia. Those evil men rape the young girl on the boat. The boat is hijacked by Thai ruffians and the boat people are put in a cage. The young girls are transferred to another boat by the ruffians, who wish to send them to Thailand. Athit and his friend Wat accidentally see Cheut Cheun. She was sent to a bordel. Athit promises to help. Cheut Cheun refuses to obey the mamasan (มาม่าซัง) so faces wrath from her and is tortured (ทรมาน). The mamasan considers the girls (เด็กผู้หญิง) as things and now wishes to send them to singapore due to the deranging noise made by Athit. It is difficult for Athit to free Cheut Cheun due to the mamasan's bad influence (อิทธิพล). He wishes to buy a ticket to send her back to Vietnam. He convinces the police to investigate and helps to gather proofs. He doesn't have enough money to buy her back so he tries to organize an escape but it fails. His friend Wat is killed. The police finally arrests (จับ) the mamasan and her ruffians. This movie highlights the boat people phenomena and the mafia taking profit of it. The main actress is from Philippines. She might had less concern that Thai actresses to play sexy scenes. Soundtrack from Dario Argento's horror movies is used.

Pim is a very busy business woman. She is independent, smokes, drinks beer. She wears men clothes like suit and tie. She is a modern 1980s emancipated woman compared to Thai traditional standards. She only believes in herself. A young man called Bird and his friend are living together in a small flat. They have always no money. Pim needs a new model for an advertisement and is looking for one in Siam Square. She meets Bird in a cafe. Pim has a suitor called Komsan, who asks her for wedding. Pim is 30 years old already but she doesn't want to follow traditional ways, i.e. have husband, have children, stop working and stay home. So she refuses. Bird is recruited for underwear commercial shooting. Bird is younger than Pim. He follows Pim to a camping on Pattaya beach. Bird's mother needs 5000 baht. Bird needs to work again. He is Chippendales dancer in the "Rainbow" bar, a club for women, and then male prostitute for ladies. Bird is coming from Northeastern Thailand and has almost no studies knowledge. He is impressed by Pim (แม่โฆษณา) and her leadership. Pim considers herself same as prostitute selling her brain. Bird is fed up with his life as a gigolo. He only meets crazy ladies looking for sex only. One night, Komsan tries to force Pim but Bird chases him. They both tell their life. Pim has been traumatised by the Thai students massacre on 6 October 1976. Pim met Komsan during those events and loved him. But then Komsan changed a lot being mainly interested in money (เงิน) and power (อำนาจ). Regarding Bird, he is a farmer son and his real name is Wang. Pim has choice between Komsan, rich man and ละครพระเอก, and Bird. She is looking for a simple man (คนง่ายๆ). A love story starts between them. Bird is a good hearted man. Bird is often treated as a buffalo (ควาย) in his job as he is coming from countryside and doesn't have high studies knowledge. Bird leaves his job but then needs to do it again to get money to cure his sick friend. Pim's friend knows Bird. Due to jealousy, she announces Pim's relationship with Bird to Pim's boss and Komsan. But Pim doesn't care (ช่างมันฉันไม่แคร์). She quits her job and decides to stay with Bird despite society and family reprobation. The particular punch of this story, apart of from its depiction of low life in Bangkok, was provided by the fact that Pim has been a member of the young radicals in the 1970s. The 6 October 1976 students massacre in Thammasat University has never been fully investigated. When Pim meets old friends, they sing old songs for life (เพลงชีวิต) reminding them about the 1976 events.

Thai movie นวลฉวี was released in year 1985 and lasts 1h56mn. It has received three Thai awards. Somsak Chaisongkram and two other men carry a dead body at nighttime. Utit (Apichat Halamjiak) is waiting for them and they take the body away by car. On the following day, Sompong Phonmitr finds a woman body floating in the river. It makes news headlines. The body is identified to be a nurse called Nuan Chawee (Sinjai Hongthai). This movie deals about the police enquiry to find who has killed the nurse. Utit (Apichat Halamjiak) is her husband, a doctor, and is claiming her dead body. Utit is interrogated by police. นาย Cheut and his wife, also a nurse, are suspected. Tuwit (Krailat Kriengkrai) is suspected as he used to love Nuan but as this love was not reciprocal, he married another lady. The movie has flashbacks between the investigation and Nuan’s story. Nuan and the doctor met each other in the hospital. Nuan fell in love with him and accepted to become his girlfriend. The doctor was going to be sent to Lampang. Nuan was waiting eagerly for the doctor to be back. Nuan presented her father (Somkuan Krajangsat) to doctor Utit as she hoped Utit would ask her hand for wedding. The love was not shared. Utit started to be fed up with Nuan (รำคาญ). Nuan was upset. Fed up by the doctor's lack of responsibility (ไม่ยอมรับผิดชอบ), she threatened to shoot him if he didn't marry. Under pressure, doctor Utit accepted. But the doctor’s mother (Sarinthip Siriwan) refused to accept Nuan. Nuan and her father complained to the hospital’s director. It caused Utit to be very upset and he hit Nuan. Nuan saw doctor Utit with another girl (Wiyada Umarin). Two brothers were involved in the murder. As Nuan learnt Utit had also married Umarin 6 days after her, she threatened the doctor to go to justice. Utit was fed up with Nuan as she could really mess up his future and position in the society. Wiyada saw her a competitor. So everything was in place to get rid of Nuan and to kill her with the help of the local undertaker (สัปเหร่อ) Somsak and the two brothers as intermediates. Wiyada and doctor Utit finally recognize their culpability. It is based on a real story, which happened in year 1959.

Thai movie นักเลงสิบล้อ was released in year 1985 and it lasts 1h37mn. Wut (Sorapong Chatree)(ลูกพี), son of owner of a truck company (รถสิบล้อ), comes urgently from Thailand following request from Lak (Lak Apichat) as his father just died (งานศพ). Sarawat (Nard Poowanai) tries to arrest him as he is over speeding to be on time to the funeral. A bomb explodes during the funeral. His mother (เจ้าภาพ) dies also. Revenge shall happen as his parents' death is a murder. The one, who carried the bomb, is identified as a lady, called Pim (พิมพ์ใจ พรหมมาลี), working in a karaoke. Sia Song (Somkuan Krajangsat), her boyfriend, is aware they spend the night together. Decha (Rith Luecha) is his right hand. Young lady Suntalee (Apiradee Pawaputanon) is leading a mining site and also selling durians (ทุเรียนแม่ค้า). Through a daring tentative, Wut and his team empty Decha's truck causing Sia to lose a lot of money. Umarin is selling trucks. Sia Song is also the shop owner. Wut enquiries on Sia through Song. Sarawat has arguments with tough men but refuses corruption money. As he is always accused to be too strict, he removes his policeman insignia to teach a lesson to the tough drivers. Sia Song orders to shoot Wut but he is only injured him. He gets closer to Suntalee and tells her that he is an undercover policeman. Four men, part of Suntalee's team, plan to betray her in order to steal precious stones (พลอย). Challenged and overwhelmed by the ruffians (คุณจะไม่มีโอกาสเห็นขาอ่อนฉัน), she gets help from Choomporn Theppitak. The traitors join Sia Song’s team. Sarawat and Wut try to prevent ruffians doing dirty business at the border. Weapons are hidden in rice bags. They chase Decha driving a big truck carrying teak trees. Drug is hidden in teak trees. Wut and the trucks encircle Sia Song forcing him to surrender. Many great famous Thai actors are present in this movie but the directing is a bit weak. Luk Thung (ลูกทุ่ง) countryside music about trucks is featured in this movie. Trucks (สิบล้อ) in Thailand are ornamented with many drawings and colors.

A HiSo family (วงผู้ดี) has a special domestic helper (คนใช้พิเศษ) called Kaew. She can break glass with her strong pitched voice. The daughter has her fiancee (คู่หมั้นชาย), Duangtawan, studying in England. He needs to come back (ธุระสำคัญ) to Bangkok following his father's request. There was a wedding promise between the parents. But Duangtawan wants to check his future wife's mindset first so he disguises himself as the family's car driver (คนขับรถ). His own driver, Phat Thai, becomes the Mom Chao (หม่อมเจ้า) and visits the HiSo family. Kaew (นางตัวดี) simulates herself as the Madam (คุณนาย) as her boss is out for holidays. Finally Duangtawan and Kaew start to be very close as Duangtawan appreciates her simplicity and frankness despite simulating being a Madam. The movie shows Thai society equality through food, i.e. rich / poor people can also sit on the floor, eat papaya salad (ส้มตำ) and sticky rice (ข้าวเหนียว). The Madam is asking for an engagement diner. As Duangtawan's father confirms, she comes back earlier than expected. Quiproquo happens again as Madam's daughter tries to seduce the car driver as she believes he is the real Duangtawan. She brings him to a short time motel (ข่มขืนเขา). Finally Duangtawan tells to Kaew the truth about his real identity but she flees ashamed of her own condition. Through a final quiproquo, the truth is revealed to all. It is finally discovered that Kaew is also the granddaughter of rich family. It a nice small movie but it lacks the craziness and dances that can be found in Bollywood movies.

Movie director is สักกะ จารุจินดา. Thai movie เพชรตัดเพชร was originally released in the year 1966 with Mitr Chaibancha, Luechai Natnat and Petchara Chaowarat. It was also released as Thai TV series in the years 2011 and 2016. Suchao Pongwilai is drunk inside a disco with a partner (Linda Khatancharoen). Mo Sing (หมอซ้ง) tries to seduce the partner so it makes Suchao angry and a fight erupts. Mo Sing loses a two colours denture and gets angry. He shoots Suchao and flees. The partner is found back by Mo Sing, but she claims she doesn't have the denture. Pailin (Piathip Kumwong) is the gang's leader. Yot (Kowit Wattanakul) is her right hand. During a drug exchange, Cheut (Sorapong Chatree) is killed by Yot keeping both drugs and money. Head of police Somchai Samipak talks to police officer Naresuan (Sorapong Chatree). He needs him to neutralise a drug gang working in Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau. Cheut is Naresuan's twin. They were separated when they were 12 years old. Naresuan wishes to revenge his dead brother. Naresuan accepts the mission and will act as Cheut in order to catch Yot. In a bar, Cheut meets Paen Pleumsachai, Pipop Pupinyo as he is looking for Yot. Cheut meets his previous girlfriend Yoi (Wiyada Umarin) having Manop Aussawathep as new husband. Fighting occurs in the bar. Back to Yaowarat district, Cheut ends up in Boo Wibunnan's entertainment centre and meets Anchalee Chaisiri. She suggests him to go to Jumbo bar to find Yot. There, Cheut is facing Pao Porapak. Cheut finally finds Yot with his girlfriend, then steals his suitcase full of drugs and gives it back to the police. Cheut flies to Hong Kong. He meets Pailu (Apiradee Pawaputanon), a singer. Pailu introduces him to Cheng (Krai Kanchit). On a boat in Sai Kung, Cheut meets Cheng again. Coming for a drug exchange, Cheut steals money from Cheng. He gets help from Jo (อโนเชาว์ ยอดบุตร), an undercover HK policeman. HK Police recommends to Cheut to leave Hong Kong as soon as possible for his own safety. Rong Kaomulkadee and Lak Apichat are working for Sahat Piempongsan, former boss of Cheut. Sahat thought Cheut was dead. Knowing Cheut is still alive, he decides to help him. Yot sends a killer to get rid of Cheut but he fails. Cheut learns from head of Police Somchai that Pailu is from Interpol. Another tentative to kill Cheut fails again. Cheut gets help from Rong. Thai police uses a stratagem for Jo to join Cheng’s team. Facing a fight with ruffians, Cheng is helped by Jo in a bar. Convinced by his skills, Cheng asks him to join his team. Pailin is business partner with Cheng. Per Pailin’s order, Yot captures Cheut. Cheng wants to get back his money. Meanwhile, Sahat captures Pailin's men in order to know where they keep Cheut. Cheut claims the money was confiscated by the HK Police but the drug is still stored in a suitcase hidden in Pailu’s home. Pailu gets help from Somchai so that drug is given back to ruffians. Cheng starts to suspect Pailu also. She fails to escape. Meanwhile Thai police surrounds the ruffians’ den. Yot plans to kill Cheut but it fails through a final epic fight between Cheut and Yot. Finally Thai police arrests all ruffians. Sahat fails to flee.

Wan watches the birthday video and identifies a man offering a gift and leaving soon. He is a ruffian living in Chiang Mai. Wan learns through that ruffian that Pumi Patanayut is involved and was the one to order to bring the cake. Pumi Patanayut is working for mafia leader (พ่อเลี้ยง) Nard Poowanai. Noun (Tuanton Kammeesri) is a journalist refusing corruption and doing inquiries on Nard. Mai (Supansa Nuengpirom) is a young lady, whose mother was also killed by Nard due to business conflict. Kowit Wattanakul is close friend of Wan and introduces him to Mai. Mafia leader Nard Poowanai is trying to become member of parliament and is supported by Wiyada Umarin, his girlfriend. Wan starts to get revenge. Nard's right hand is first killed by Wan. Nard suspects Mai. Then Wan shots Kamlee (Paen Pleumsachai) and warns Nard that soon it will be his turn. Wan is introduced to the ruffians as new shareholder with Mai. It is a trick to be close to the ruffians and the next one to be killed is Pumi Patanayut. Noun is investigating on those killings. Wan and Kowit are identified to be behind the murders. Kowit is shot by ruffians while visiting uncle Sai (Pipop Pupinyo). Wan has no choice but to continue in order to get rid of mafia leader Nard. Nard hires a hitman to get rid of Wan but it fails. Chat Mongkolchai kidnaps โสธรณ์ in order to find where Wan is hiding. As Mai is passing, she is kidnapped and โสธรณ์ is killed. Chat (หน้าตัวเมีย) wants to force Mai to sign documents. Wan successfully releases Mai and chases after Nard until he kills him. Wan is finally pardoned by Thai police thanks to Mai’s plea.

The Thai movie สาวภูเขา / 象妻 - "Elephant Wife" is in Mandarin language and lasts 1h28mn. Such HK movies normally last around 1h30mn (TV format) but the Thai version was often more than 2 hours. This movie is lost in Thailand but as it was a Thai HK co production, it could still be found in Hong Kong under VCD format. A baby girl is abandoned a house. Sukon Koewliam raises the little girl and names her Amena. The little girl is very close to an elephant called Sida. A few years later, they have issues with a local shaman, who burns their house at nighttime. Sukon Koewliam dies in the fire. Years have passed. The little girl is now a beautiful young lady. She meets Sorapong Chatree, who is injured. Love emerges between Sorapong and Amena. Sorapong has to go back to his hill tribe village. There he rejects his wedding with Wiyada Umarin causing the village chief's ire. Sorapong succeeds to flee and meets Amena again. The local shaman and his daughter chase him. They cannot capture him but catches Amena. The shaman’s daughter forces Amena to eat special poisonous worms. Amena becomes crazy and her skin is cracked. It is identified that Amena is probably the lost daughter of the village chief. As she is now crazy, the shaman and his daughter wish to execute Amena. Sorapong brings elephants in the village including Sida to release Amena. The chief leader whips himself Amena ignoring she is his daughter. Sorapong protects her and tells the leader that Amena is his lost daughter. Amina is cured but Wiyada tries to poison her again. She is finally the one to ingurgitate the poisonous worms! The bad shaman is stamped by elephants. Sorapong and Amena can now have happiness together.

Thai movie แผ่นดินเหล็ก was released in year 1983. It was also released under another name เสียงเพลงนักเลงโหด and using another movie poster. This movie is lost in Thailand but a sequence of 46mn is left to be seen. Kamnan is starting to prepare his birthday when ruffians come to ask for his land. Hopefully his son (Sorapong Chatree) chases them away. His friend Daeng, injured, is cured by Doctor Oon (Thitima Sangkapitak). Sorapong meets the daughter of a petrol station owner (Nanthida Kaewbuasai). Maen (Lak Apichat) makes Daeng enter as luk thung singer in Rith's nightclub. Decha (Manop Aussawathep) wishes to hire the new singer. Arguments happen between ruffians. A few luk thung songs are featured in the nightclub. Decha is looking for a hitman (มือปืน) to get rid of his enemies (ศัตรู). Sorapong being around accepts the job. Nanthida has issues with ruffians asking cover fee (ค่าคุ้มครอง) as she is going to visit her land. Hopefully Maen and his friends help her. During one evening, Sorapong shoots Rith in his nightclub but misses him. The two remaining movie reels end up here. This movie was not famous and is a kind of action / song movie (หนังเพลง).

A mysterious man arrives on a rainy night in a remote city and enters in the hotel bar. The hotel is half owned by young lady called Chonko (Wiyada Umarin). A crazy guy (Settha Sirachaya), always drunk (ขี้เมา), asks him to avoid troubles as bad ruffians are the real leaders here. The mysterious man is called Mek Suriya (Sorapong Chatree) and plays the judiciary guy against the ruffians terrorizing the drunkard (รับรองความปลอดภัย). Alcohol and cigarette are blurred on this movie digitalized from True Cable TV. Bamrong (Nirut Sirijanya) is playing cards against ruffians but lost accusing the ruffians to cheat. Mek ensures that the fight against Bamrong and a ruffian is fair. Mek and Bamrong win back the other half of the hotel from Dang, one of the ruffian working for godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) Sagnop. Serinya (Naowarat Yooktanun) arrives in the hotel and asks help for her brother Seri (Pisarn Akraseranee) who has just been beaten by ruffians. Serinya has come to teach Sagnop's children. Serinya and Seri meet Sagnop’s wife (Piathip Kumwong), Sumalee. Sagnop (Sahat Piempongsan) is a strong godfather and doesn’t hesitate to punish those who try to cheat him (เก็บใช้ในเมืองผี). Sagnop sends 5 hitmen to clear the issue with Mek. Mek always pays respect (ไหว้) to his Buddhist amulet after hitting some ruffians. Ruffians terrorized the city until Mek dares resisting them. One of the ruffians hitman defies Mek for an outdoor gun duel. It is a trick as other ruffians are hidden in the bush. The hitman is finally defeated and a strong message is sent to their big boss. Mek and Bamrong are too strong to be ordinary ruffians as they are well trained. Other ruffians storm the hotel bar but get defeated again by Mek (ผมไม่เคยตาย / อยากลองดู). Serinya and Seri are undercover policemen. They love each other (คู่รัก). Bamrong and Mek decide to go to Don Luang, Sagnop’s ranch, to be become his associates (ลูกน้อง). Sagnop is fond of Serinya and orders to kidnap her. Serinya has to marry with Sagnop but Sagnop is already married to Sumalee. Sumalee rescues Seri and bursts into tears follow up her many years of dispair with Sagnop. In the morning, Sumalee announced to Sagnop her decision to quit him, to go to Bangkok with her children and Seri. Sumalee is finally shot by Sagnop’s ruffians as Sagnop cannot accept this. Sagnop orders to kill Seri. Mek and Bamrong, warned by Serinya, go to help him. Bamrong is Sumalee's young brother. One of Bamrong’s nephew (หลาน) dies in a shoot out. Revenge is in the air... A final shoot out involving ruffians and army happens during Sagnop and Serinya’s wedding. Entertaining Molam dances are featured during the wedding. Sagnop and his ruffians are defeated. Mek Suriya, the mysterious judiciary, leaves (พี่ลาก่อน). The highlight of the movie is the first movie involving two big stars, i.e. Sorapong Chatree and Pisarn Akraseranee. Movie Duang Nak Leng (ดวงนักเลง) is not available on VCD or DVD in Thailand. Some digital versions from TV are available around such as a 1h29mn from Channel 9 (cut version) and a True Move Cable TV version of 1h54mn. It feels like a Tom Yam Thai western movie.

Ai kaew Ai thong is a romantic comedy featuring Jarunee and Toon. Kaew and Thong are released from prison. Thong is 70 years old and has nowhere to go so Kaew invites him to stay together. His mother chases Kaew away as he sold old artifacts from the family home (แม่ด่า). They need to find ways to make a living such as waiters in a Chinese restaurant. They are finally expelled as food is spilled on customers. They find a new job in a house as gardeners. Maem is the house owner's beautiful daughter. The Chinese restaurant owners have a son Jun who is slightly retarted (ปัญญาอ่อน). They wish their son to marry Maem as her parents own land. So they need to teach him how to seduce a woman. It failed miserably as he falls from balcony into the pond. Kaew dives to help him and gets higher credit from Maem. Kaew and Thong simulate being prince and servant in front of other domestic helpers in order to enhance their status in the house towards Maem. Maem is a strong young lady (คนสวยปากร้าย). Kaew lies to Maem regarding a fake golden necklace in order to get a kiss. Jun parents hire a lady (Wiyada Umarin, veteran actress, often playing such role) to teach Jun how to perform husband duties on bed. As the golden necklace becomes dark after one day, their stratagem fails. Maem condemns them to dig a big hole. While digging, they find an old Chinese sword (ดาบ). The father sends Maem, Kaew and Thong to Hong Kong to sell it. As they cannot sell it, they have to find odd jobs to pay for food and accommodation. Maem is driving a rickshaw. In 1980 rickshaw usage in Hong Kong was already low. Thong is driving a kaido boat. Kaew is doing the tour guide on Cheng Chau island. They are waiting for the father to send tickets back home but the father is very avaricious and expect them to buy the tickets from the spade sale. Feelings start between Maem and Kaew. A ruffian Khun Seu (นักเลง) loves a singer (นักร้อง) and chases after her. Maem is involved as rickshaw driver and helps the singer to flee. To escape from Seu, the singer pays for their tickets back to Thailand. Jun cannot marry Maem anymore as he caught decease from little virtue woman. Knowing that they cannot sell the sword as the Chinese family linkage was broken, the father chases Kaew and Thong from his home causing Maem’s despair as Kaew is a kind man (คนมีเมตตา). They finally find a last descendant in Thailand and gets 20M baht for the sword. Kaew can now ask for Maem's hand but performs a last trick to avaricious father. it is a typical good mood romantic comedy from 1980s decade featuring superstar Jarunee and Toon.

Atawut is working in governement as speaker. He is married to Pim and they have a young son. He has also a mistress called Nat. He claims buying hot fresh food to his wife when coming back late but the driver just heats it up on the car engine! His wife, Pim, starts to be aware. A lawyer, who loves Nat, is waiting that Nat is fed up flirting with a married man. Atawut is coming from Isan area, Northeast of Thailand. He wants to participate to local elections in the "People" party (พรรคประชาชน). He wears blue-cotton farmer clothes (มอฮ่อม) during his meetings. Pim, his wife, comes from a high society family but he is coming from a poor Isan family. He wins because his wife gives away money so that he can get popular. She couldn't allow her family name to be tarnished in case of defeat. Atawut cannot bear it, gets drunk and goes with Nat. But he is lying to his mistress also. He is a womaniser up to the point local newspapers publish a picture of him and a local cinema star. Meanwhile Pim's younger sister, Pamela, comes back from America. Fed up by Nat and Pim, Atawut takes a break and goes to Chiang Mai. There he meets Pamela visiting Chiang Mai also. Nat announces it to Pim and its circle (สังคมผู้ดี). She is insulted as a pandering lady (นางบำรุง). Pim looses face and decides to divorce. Atawut asks her to think twice in order to protect his representative title invoking that having mistress is common issue in Thailand. But this is not acceptable for women! As he sees his wife eating with another man (in fact for business purpose), Atawut loses temper. He uses a gun and injures Pim. The trial starts. The man who loves Nat is Atawut's lawyer. Atawut misses his family. He stays humble and simple. He finds an old Isan friend selling Thai coffee (โอเลี้ยง). His friend is not unfaithful. Atawut is rich but not happy. His friend is poor but happy. Atawut will loose child and everything due to his bad behavior. Parents of both sides try to corrupt the judge by offering gifts but despite living in small house, he refuses. Trial is over and the child shall stay in custody with the mother. Finally both side misses each other so much and for the good sake of the young son go back together for an happy ending. This movie raises many 1980s society issues, i.e. men able to cheat wives as a common society issue, corruption in elections, corruption in justice, divorce in high society, men vs women behavior.

The police is looking after a gang called "the four Kings" that extorts money from businessmen. The police is contacting a former repentant to get information but this one refuses to get involved in order to protect his family. Unfortunately, the "four Kings" gang, believing that the former repentant is helping the police, decides to kill him. They retaliate over his wife and daughter, who are killed. The former repentant then decides to fight "the four Kings" gang until death. A first version of this movie was released in year 1959. It featured Chaiya Suriyun and Amara Asavananda as main actors.

ดาวพระเสาร์ (The Big Deal) movie is gathering three main stars from 1980s decade, i.e. Sorapong Chatree, Toon Hiransap and Jarunee Sooksawad. This movie is mixing action and romance. An impressive bunch of 1970s-1980s famous Thai actors are participating. Dam Datsakorn, more known for his ruffian leader role, is also the director. Dao Prasao (Sorapong Chatree) is similar to a lonesome cowboy but he has a strong kick (ตีนแรง) whenever somebody is looking for troubles. Taen (Toon Hiransap) wishes to befriend with Dao Prasao. Taen is chased by Sing Manorom's ruffians but gets help from Dao Prasao. Taen gives him a bag with 100 000 baht as a reward. Taeng, Taen's fiancee, is promised to ruffian Sing Manorom so Taen has no wish to live anymore. The 100 000 baht were supposed to be used while fleeing with Taeng. Diaw Dai (Wiyada Umarin), prostitute with sincere heart, helps them to hide from the ruffians. Tuang (Rith Luecha) is her evil pimp and wishes to take revenge following Diaw Dai betrayal. Dao Prasao promises to help Taen. Taeng (Jarunee Sooksawad) is the daughter of sub- district headman (kamnan) called Yot. Dao Prasao arrives as a mysterious wedding gift giver in order to enter more easily in Yot’s house. Causing a fire during the wedding eve, Dao Prasao takes profit of the mess to flee with Taeng. He is injured while helping her. Despite a plot from Tuang, all succeed to escape the ruffians. Diaw Dai has some feelings for Dao Prasao. Some feelings start also between Taeng and Dao Prasao. His real name is Kata. He left his home as his fiancee married his father while he was studying abroad. Meanwhile while visiting Taen's home, Taeng discovers he has already a fiancee! In fact his father wants to force him to marry a high society lady called Kaew (Thitima Sangkapitak). Feeling sad, Taeng is finally captured again by the ruffians. Aware of this, Dao Prasao with close friend Dang's support raid the ruffians nightclub. Jarunee excels in Thai boxing skill-set and they succeed to escape. Taeng is disappointed by Taen as he doesn't dare to oppose his father to protect their love (อยู่ในอำนาจบารมีของพ่อ). He is not as courageous as Dao Prasao. Taen feels hurt by Taeng’s words. Chumporn, head of ruffians, is leading a prostitution ring. They capture many ladies including Taeng, Kaew, Diaw Dai to sell them to an international buyer. Tuang kills Diaw Dai as a revenge. Dao Prasao and Taen successfully release the ladies through fierce fights on moving trucks and through motorized acrobatics. Taen wishes to show he has courage also. Kaew is killed during the battle. Taen and Taeng are reunited. Dao Prasao leaves them and continues his life as a lonesome cowboy. Dao Prasao has accomplishes his mission as Taen and Taeng can be happy together now. An earlier version with Sombat Methanee was shot in 1970.

Khongra (Sorapong Chatree) is relative (หลาน) of Am Su Ra Krai (Toon Hiransap). Khongra is coming to Phailom district to visit Am. Am's team, such as Wo (Lak Apichat), needs to carry guns as the area is full of ruffians (นักเลงบ้านนอก) such as Thaem (Porjed Kaenpetch). Mr Putr is accused to have stolen (ปล้นรถไถ) Am's tractor. Local ruffians forbid farmers to cultivate the fields but as Khongra dares to bring a tractor, he has no choice but to shoot them. Later on, he helps a young lady Chairon harassed by three ruffians. Chairon is living alone as her parents died already. Thaem is defeated by Khongra on one to one fight. Friendship starts between Thaem and Khongra. Godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) Bamjong (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to recruit Khongra as he likes his style. Khongra discovers that the tractor was stolen by Mr Putr despite his disclaimer. Romance starts between Khongra and Chairon. All the illegal activities are handled by a local few godfathers including lady Sa (Aranya Namwong), Bamjong, Dam (Dam Datsakorn) and Reut (Rith Luecha). Chairon has been kidnapped and Khongra is ordered to leave the area within 24 hours. Meanwhile Khongra (เสียตัว) is also kidnapped by mysterious Amazons (Sopha played by Wiyada Umarin and Thitima Sangkapitak) but succeeds to escape. Gnoh (Kowit Wattanakul) is a policeman coming to arrest drug traffickers believed to be linked to local ruffians. Am, Khongra storm Putr's home to know where Chairon is. Before dying, Putr just says she is located at Beung Mai. While going to Beung Mai, they meet Sopha again. It is a trick to split Am, Wo and Khongra. In a fierce shooting, Wo is killed. Sa is suspected to have kidnapped Am. Khongra and Thaem are captured and imprisoned with Am. Chairon provides a hidden message but her behavior is noticed by the guard (ทรยศ). Chairon and Sopha are sentenced to death by Sa. Hopefully Khongra, who succeeds to escape, helps them on time. A festival for farmers is happening in Phailom district. Khongra is aware of the ruffians’ plan to intimidate farmers in order to finally possess the whole land in the area. Explosions happen during the festivities. Following various shootings and car chasing, all ruffians are killed or captured by Khongra, Am and police led by Gnoh. This Thai movie จ้าวนรก, directed by Payoong Payakul, is a typical 1980s action movie involving many key leading actors from decades 1970s-1980s.

Following a promise done by his father 20 years ago, Ekarat has to marry Yee hoop, a young lady educated in old style. Ekala's mother doesn't want his son to marry a bumpy country side girl. Boonleuang is a lady coming from a poor family. She married Cheut coming from a rich noble family (ผู้ดี). Cheut's mother never accepted that her son marries such lady. Boonleuang and Cheut have one son called Sak. Cheut's mother succeeds to convince Boonleuang through moral pressure to let her educate her son in order that he can have a bright future. Following problems with police, one Boonleuang's neighbour entrusts her to take care of her new born daughter, Saichai, and flee with his son, Chai. He is finally caught by the Police. Chai has become a professional killer and also loves Saichai. He tries to force her to become his wife but fails. When trying to kill Sak, he injures Saichai. The former neighbour exits from prison after 20 years and announces to his son, Chai, that Saichai is in fact his sister. This latter ashamed by his former behavior and knowing that Sia has placed a bomb under Sak's car sacrifices his life for his sister to have happiness with Sak. Boonleuang finally learns that Sak is her son. Knowing that Sia wants to kill Sak, she tries to stop him. He refuses. Sia is killed and Boonleuang recognizes she is the murderer. She has to go to trial. Sak is the defense lawyer but Cheut, Sak's father, is the defendant layer to protect Boonleuang. The son against the father. Saichai asks for pity for his mother but Sak refuses to mix love and professional duty. Sak is very harsh against her mother during the trial. The former neighbour acknowledges that Boonleuang only injured Sia but that he is the one that killed him. Sak acknowledges his defeat. Once Sak realizes that Boonleuang is his mother, it is too late, she has died due to deep sorrows.

Her lover finds the letter and threatens to disclose everything as she wishes to break up. Sut forces the lover to give back the letter and to disappear. Sut has a strong character. He succeeds to clear all issues and problems. Pakpong promises to change (แม่ที่ดีต่อไป). A romance between Sut and Sura is about to start (ไม่กลัวแต่ไม่ไว้ใจ). Thai movie ค่าน้ำนม was released in year 1981 and lasts 1h55mn. It was released under VCD format by Solar company and under DVD format by Happy Home Entertainment. It is a remake of the movie ชายผ้าเหลือง shot in 1974. This movie has a similar scenario to the version shot in 1974 but it focuses more about the mother suffering. Previous cinematographic versions were released in year 1953 and 1960 (with Mitr Chaibancha and Preeya Roongrueng). The story is about the love of a mother (Pissamai Wilaisak) towards her two sons, Khun Thong (Sorapong Chatree) and Salika (Porjed Kaenpetch). The mother Bua is widow since her husband was killed by bandits robbing her house. Pissamai wishes to have her two sons becoming monks in order to see them with brown robes (ชายผ้าเหลือง). She needs money to prepare the ceremony. She asks to borrow 2000 THB from the local subdistrict headman but he is unwillingly. Hopefully his daughter Kratin (Wiyada Umarin) pushes him. Another young lady, named Lamduan (Naowarat Yooktanun), also helps by offering money. While Salika is away having sweet talks with Malai (Yotsoi Komarachoon), bandits including village leader Chat Mongkolchai and Somsak Chaisongkram attack Bua's house. The mother is slightly injured and bandits flee away. One of them, Na Kha, is injured to the leg by Salika. The next day, Khun Thong realises Na Kha's injury is not done when chasing bandits but when attacking his home. He now understands that Na Kha previously killed his father 10 years ago during a similar robbery. Khun Thong, in self defense, shots Na khan. The mother's love becomes painful because Khun Thong has become an outlaw (เสือ). Malee, Na Kha’s daughter, is then upset with Salika as he is Khun Thong’s brother. Malee’s mother is played by Preeya Roongrueng. In real life, Preeya Roongrueng is also Yotsoi Komarachoon’s mother. Na Khan's son (โสธร รุ่งเรือง) uses Khun Thong's name to raid other houses so Khun Thong has no way to quit. Khun Thong is a Thai Robin Wood and gives help to the poorest. Khun Thong is still a good son and keeps the money he robbed for his mother and his younger brother to enter monkhood (บวชให้แม่). Rejected by both his mother and brother, who refuse dirty money (เงินโจรต้องอยู่กับโจร), Khun Thong decides to work as a peasant and carpenter to earn money from his hard work. But fate is against him. His girlfriend Kratin is trapped by Na khan son's gang, raped and killed. Khun Thong is accused again. His mother is disappointed by his behavior, saying it was not worth to educate him for becoming an outlaw and that feeding milk to him (ค่าน้ำนม) was such a waste. He becomes an outlaw again to catch Na Khan's son. Meanwhile, Na Kha’s son is upset with his sister Malee as she is pregnant with Salika. Sulaleewan Suwanthat protects Malee against her brother’s ire. Khun Thong wants his teammates (Kanchit Kwanpracha, Pipop Pupinyo, Joomjim Khemlek) to surrender and become good people. Finally he catches Na Khan's son, who recognizes all the evil he has done under Khun Thong's name. It is too late as her mother doesn't want to talk to Khun Thong anymore. Willing to die, he misbehaves a last time to force his mother to shoot him. Before dying, Khun Thong and his mother confirm their filial love and Khun Thong can grab Salika's yellow robe as his brother has become a monk. It is certainly one of the best roles of Sorapong Chatree.

Hoi (Nirut Sirijanya) meets a young Northern lady called Kreua Fa (Supansa Nuengpirom) at a traditional dance event. Chiang Mai is famous for the beauty of its ladies (เมืองคนงาม). Kreua Fa's father raised elephants. Local North people speak local northern dialect in the movie. Kreua Fa makes Hoi discover elephants’ life in the forest. A local old notable wishes to marry Kreua Fa. The notable involved in drugs trafficking wishes to get rid of Hoi. A plan is set up to have Hoi having a deadly accident in the forest with an elephant but Kreua Fa helps him on time. Romance starts between them. They finally marry following Northern traditions. As Thailand has declared war to Germany, Hoi needs to go back to Bangkok and then to fight in Europe. His plane is hit and Hoi lost his memory. Three years have passed. Champa has been taking care of him during his long recovery. Hoi's parents settle the wedding with this rich heiress (Wiyada Umarin). Meanwhile Kreua Fa has delivered a child. The evil notable kidnaps Kreua Fa's baby to force her to become his wife. Kreua Fa's friends use elephants to release her and the notable is arrested for drug trafficking. One day Hoi is invited to Chiang Mai to demonstrate Thai airplanes. Kreua Fa hearing the plane believes Hoi comes back for her. Hoi has the feeling he went to Chiang Mai before losing his memory (ความทรองจำ). The new wife is aware of Kreua Fa but hides the truth to Hoi. Officer Pla explains the truth to Kreua Fa that Hoi lost memory as his plane was hit during the war. Kreua Fa needs to wait. Kreua Fa tries to get suicide. Finally aware of a ball given by high society, she decides to find Hoi. During the ball, arguments arise between Kreua Fa and Champa but Hoi cannot remember Kreua Fa. Kreua Fa is so disappointed so she decides to kill herself. Hoi finally recovers his memory. While rushing to find Kreua Fa, he just arrives on time to have her dying in his arms. She entrusts her child to Hoi. This movie has been released in theaters before in year 1953 (Chalit Susewee and Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) and 1965 (Mitr Chaibancha and Pissamai Wilaisak).

A woman is about to deliver her baby. The husband brings his wife on a boat but it is caught in a storm. Their village on the island is wiped away by a tsunami. A boy is born on the boat. The boat is then attacked by a group of pirates (Manop Aussawathep, Prachuap Ruekyamdee, Adinan Singhiran and Taksin Jampol). The baby life is spared and is named Ai Klang. During his youth, Ai Klang is trained to use all weapons. Salai (Wiyada Umarin) likes Ai Klang since her childhood. Ai Klang (Sorapong Chatree) has a reputation of having extraordinary skills as storm child (ลูกพายุ). He is disliked by some pirates (Dam Datsakorn, Somsak Chaisongkram, Rith Luecha and Phaophan Phongnathee) on the island. During a boat attack, the father is injured and the diviner predicts a bad omen for the village (ดาวบอก). Ai Klang and Sarapat, the other son (ลูกพ่อ), keep arguing over Salai. Their pirate (สลัด) village is located on an island. Normally they never keep survivors to avoid their hidden village to be discovered. Sarapat keeps a young lady called Chom (Duangcheewan Komolsen) for his father. She becomes in fact his mistress. Salai's family members are accused of theft. In fact, their crime is to have seen Sarapat and his mistress Chom together. Through a deadly game, two are shot but the father survives as Ai Klang fails, on purpose, to hit him three times. Ai Klang rescues a young lady Malai (Nantana Ngao Krajang) whose boat is wrecked on the island. It causes Salai's jealousy. While bringing her back to her father, Ai Klang is recognized as pirate and needs to flee. Ai Klang learns from Salai's father that he is not the real son of the pirates’ leader. While the father is away, the bad pirates get rid of Salai's father despite Ai Klang's resistance. Ai Klang is attached to a pole during rising tide but Salai helps him before he gets drowned. Sarapat takes over the island while his father is away. When the father is back, he is captured. While Sarapat and his men celebrate their victory, the island volcano wakes up. Ai Klang and a number of men faithful to the father attack the renegade pirates. Fight is fierce but they win. Salai is killed during the fightings. Ai Klang ends up fighting with his father as he killed his real parents twenty years ago. He is unable to kill him as twenty years together have created strong filial bonds. To acknowledge his mistake, the father announces that they all stop to be pirates! But it is too late as finally a tsunami wipes the island. Just before, the father sent Ai Klang and Malai to take refuge on higher grounds. ไอ้คลั่งทะเลโหด was released in year 1979 and features an impressive list of famous 1970s Thai actors. Star wars movie soundtrack is used. The movie was never released officially in VCD or DVD format but a VHS telezin version can be found around. It is supposed to be one of the few Thai movies shot in 70mm format.

Some local ghosts (ผีกระสือ and ผีกระหัง) wish to help them as there are already enough spirits in the graveyard (ป่าช้า)! The male spirit helps Klom to give a lesson to CheunKlan and his sbires (มือปืน). The spirits have invited Dracula (ผีฝรั่ง) for a meeting in Thailand to discuss about issues they are facing (overpopulation in cemetery, people doing less donations to spirits...). The two fathers want CheunKlan and Sae (ลูกไม่รักดี) to get engaged. Dracula (Lor Tok) wants to discover Thailand (spicy food and disco). Dracula meets Oum (Wiyada Umarin), a young lady just dropped by her boyfriend. Sae simulates to be possessed (ผีเข้า) but both fathers hire a spirit doctor (หมอผี) to chase the spirit. Sae finally passed away (สิ้นใจ). To help Klom, the two ghosts prepare a plan, one is going to see the hell guardian (Sithao Petcharoen) to ask for clemency and one is possessing the body to prevent decay (เน่าเปื่อย). Klom visits hell to find Sae. He sees some people tortured as they did behave badly in their previous life (member of Parliament having lied and having made false promises...). Corruption is present in hell also! Finally Klong finds Sae in the heaven and get authorization to bring her spirit (วิญญาณ) back to earth. Meanwhile Dracula falls in love with Oum but later on kidnaps also Sae who is back from heaven. This comedy movie starts with a funny idea, sarcastic comments on Thai society but ends up crazily (บ้าบอ) with the real movie director complaining on Lor Tok acting as Dracula. Finally all flee in front of a real ghost. Veteran actor Sithao Petcharoen got a Thai cinema award for his comic role as hell guardian. A second part called หักเหลี่ยมแดร๊กคูล่า was released 7 years later in 1986.

Fon (Piyamas Monayakol) is the daughter of subdistrict headman Loi. Lom (Phairoj Jaising), Hin’s former classmate, is the son of subdistrict headman Loi. Phi Saen (Kanchit Kwanpracha) takes care of Neung and Sai, Hin's nephews. Ang (Lak Apichat) always follows Hin to help him. Lom’s girlfriend is called Chada (Wiyada Umarin) and is the daughter of Pho Lieng. Hin just wants to take care of his nephews and not bring trouble regarding the land (ผมมาดี). A new house is built and vegetables are planted. Hin wears colorful shirts (สีแปลกๆ). On the way to sell the corn, Hin's truck is stolen and Hin is beaten. Dam Datsakorn and Rith Luecha are the ones behind. They are Pho Lieng’s faithful lieutenants! As Hin is at hospital, Rith kidnaps Sai. Ruffians fail to kill Hin at the hospital so he is aware through Neung and Fon. Pho Lieng (Kecha Plianvithee), the big boss, wishes to marry Fon but Loi knows his daughter will never accept. Seua Tim (Manop Aussawathep) is seen with Pho Lieng but keeps his independence. Hin finds Sai but it is too late as she has been raped and killed. Hin has to forget his previous Buddhist vows (เรื่องคนชั่ว) to take revenge. Hin reuses the chain that was used to kill Sai in order to hit the ruffians. Fierceful fights happen between Hin and Rith / Dam in an underground casino. Despite Hin winning, Pho Lieng orders the ruffians to kill Hin but Seua Tim forbids as guns are not allowed in his casino. Hin kidnaps Fon to bring trouble to Kamnan Loi. Pho lieng orders to kill Subdistrict headman Loi as this latter refuses to enter in a bigger scale of corruption (แบ่งกันกินแบ่งกันใช่). Lom and Fon believes the murderer is Hin. Finally Seua Tim explains the truth to them. Justice happens and all the ruffians are killed. Hin leaves as a lonely cowboy. Movie Maha Hin (มหาหิน) was released in year 1978 and directed by famous action movies director Kom Akadej (เจ้าพ่อหนังบู๊เมืองไทย). This movie really features a big bunches of major actors during decade 1970s. Sombat Methanee got 1M baht to cut his hair and be bald as he couldn't play other movies during many months.

Chet (Sorapong Chatree) performs love scene with Manvika (Piathip Kumwong) in front of cameras. Manvika (ดาวโป้) is a sex movies star. Veena (Monrudee Yamaphai), her teen daughter, feels ashamed. Veena understands the artist motivations and doesn't believe what he is drawing is dirty as it is the origins of our world. People start to gossip, including Surasak the journalist, as Veena visits him every day. Neighbours believe a sex maniac artist and a daughter of porno star can only do bad things together. Veena wishes the artist to draw mountains or sea and he follows her advice. Following Surasak’s pressure, Manvika is downgraded to second role by movie director (Adul Dulyarat). One evening, the artist wishes to draw a nude painting of Veena. Afraid she starts shouting and fighting back. Surasak following them secretly takes pictures to be published on Thairat newspaper’s first page and pretending a rape. The artist is beaten by the mob. Nobody talks anymore to Veena (คนเลว) at her school. Manvika tries to get help from other newspapers but with no avail. Veena is fired from her school. Surasak’s wife (Metta Roongrat) asks him to consider how he would react if his own daughter was tarnished the same way. Nobody comes to Veena’s birthday (รังเกียจหนู). Newspapers can shape belief of people as even Manvika doubts about her own daughter. Only the artist understood her, so she leaves her home to find him in Koh Samet (เข้าใจกันดี). Following Manvika's tearful pleas, Surasak recognizes his mistakes and promises not to write about her and her family anymore. Being recognized on Koh Samet island, police and her mother are coming to get Veena back. Veena doesn't want to go back with her mum and be called as sex star daughter (ลูกสาวดาวโป้) again. Marut, the artist, gets shot by the police. Only the crazy artist was understanding Veena. This movie กาม includes strong critique of newspapers living on scandals (ข่าวเป็นข่าว), strong critique of society preconceived opinions on art and people public life. Many famous Thai actors have a cameo appearance in this movie.

She is still young and wants to have fun. She sees herself having no future with Saeng. Taptim believes Plang doesn't love Saeng but married him to go away from her parents. Saeng doesn't believe Taptim. Saeng needs to sell 5000 watermelons. He only gets an offer of 20000 baht only. He refuses to sell. Plang believes she can be a country music (ลูกทุ่ง) singer. Plang meets in a hair-dresser shop a middle age gentle lady, who proposes to help her. Taptim refuses to join Plang as she is afraid to become a prostitute in Bangkok. Plang quits the barge. Saeng is shocked and finally sell the watermelons 12000 baht to have money and look for his wife in Bangkok. The trader knows that Saeng needs money urgently so he gives him a very low price (ขี้โกง). Bangkok is so big. He goes in every singing entertainment places to find her the whole day and night. Hopefully a taxi driver helps him (คนบ้านนอก). Saeng doesn't know how to read. He drinks too much and leaves his 12000 baht in a restaurant. Taptim has to take care of the baby as both parents are out in Bangkok. The taxi driver is a nice and honest guy as most of the taxi drivers come from Isan (อีสาน). Saeng sells his boat for a small amount and buys back a smaller boat. He finally finds Plang when she was ironically singing "chai dio rak dio" (ใจเดียวรักเดียว - one heart one love). Plang is performing in a drinking joint which offers live entertainment. Customers can invite singers to chat with them. Saeng and the taxi driver get beaten by the guards. The old woman introduces an old rich man to Plang. It is a financial transaction. Understanding that the man brings her to a hotel, she flees. Saeng loses his money again. Saeng stops looking for Plang having lost everything. The only money that is left is from Taptim as she forces the trader to give a higher compensation for the watermelons. Finally Saeng regrets not to have married Taptim as she has a better mood and behavior than Plang. Saeng wishes to get Taptim as new wife. It happens... When Plang decides to come back, it is too late to get back Saeng. She comes to get back her child. Nobody wishes to stay in Bangkok. They all go back to countryside. Bangkok is a symbol for poor up-country people, i.e. dream of wealth. Some people dream to get rich there but many of them come back home without money. Some countryside people arrive in Bangkok and get abused by Bangkokian people.

A group of ruffians (Pinyo Parnnui) indulging in drugs and alcohol is terrorizing a slum. Mateson (Aranya Namwong) is married to Atisak. They have child called Pheung (Lalana Sulawan). Atisak has a mistress so Mateson has no choice but to divorce. The house remains under Atisak's name as she made the mistake to give him money in order for her parents to believe he was a richer bachelor (ผู้อุปถัมภ์). They have to move in a slum to get cheap rent. They get some support from their aunt (Metta Roongrat). Mateson is looking for a job. Karucha (Sombat Methanee) interviews her. Hearing the unfair rumors on Mateson, he decides to recruit her. Karucha has also a daughter. A fight happens between Karucha and Atisak as they meet in a restaurant. Police, led by police inspector Lak Apichat, is looking for evidence that the ruffians are selling drugs in the slum. Karucha wishes to marry Mateson but she refuses. Meanwhile police shoots the ruffians. Their leader, injured, consigns a bag of heroin to Pheung. When Mateson is back, drug is given to police. Ruffians promises to take revenge on the mother and the daughter. Police is looking after their house. One evening as Karucha couldn't send them back home as his daughter has to be sent to hospital, they get caught in a serious storm and the ruffians catch them inside the slum as the taxi refuses to go up to their home. Both get raped. Mateson still refuses to go in Karucha's home. Pheung remains in a shocked state despite support of the doctor (Wiyada Umarin). The ruffians get released later. Mateson decides to take revenge by herself as men never take responsibility. She frames Atisak in a trap by disguising herself as a black prostitute. Atisak's new girlfriend, being jealous, shoots him. She learns how to make up well. She then shots three ruffians by attracting one of them by playing a junky. All those killings start to have an impact on Mateson's spirit. People start to make a link between the ruffians killings one by one and the number of dolls given to the daughter. Killing happen in atrocious ways such as acid and cut by a train on railway. Two are left, i.e. the leader Yong (Somsak Chaisongkram) and Paew (Somphob Benjatikul). Paew discovers that she is Mateson but finally all die. Mateson has become crazy. She succeeds to kill them one by one but her eager wish to take vengeance leads her to madness. Thai movie ทองพูน โคกโพ ราษฎรเต็มขั้น / Taxi Driver (Citizen I) was released in year 1977. Thongpoon (Jatuphol Poopirom) is a Thai farmer coming from Udon Thani and going to Bangkok. Thongpoon sold his rice field in Udon and has spared money during five years to buy a taxi. This taxi represents the future for him and his young son. It is his dream to have his own taxi. Thongpoon is gullible. Rich Bangkok people cheat him by claiming having no change but Taen, a kind-hearted prostitute, gives him a note without asking change back. Her name is Taen (Wiyada Umarin) and she has issues with Somsak Chaisongkram (แมงดา) as she is pregnant. Thongpoon helps chasing Somsak away and becomes her regular taxi driver. He picks up her at her working place (อาบอบนวด). Thongpoon proposes to Taen to take care about his son but not easy to stop such job well paid. Thongpoon meets also Pinyo Parnnui, who claims to be a Thai soldier having fought in Vietnam and now being paralyzed. When his taxi get stolen by bad boys, his life alters. As they also steal his money, he is expelled from his home by his landlord (Marasri Isarangkul) as he cannot pay the rent. He ends up working on a construction site. His goal is to get back his taxi by all means. Pinyo brings him where the ruffians mingle but he gets beaten again. A business card lost allows to identify Boo Wibunnan as garage owner. He then forgets Taen and son. He refuses money from Taen to buy a new taxi as he doesn't want to be a pimp (แมงดา). He storms Boo’s garage and kill the ruffians trying to stop him. This madness leads him to prison. This movie highlights the impossible fight between poor and rich influential people, the analogy between the buffalo and the taxi for poor Isan people in Bangkok. Jatuphol Poopirom got a Thai award for his performance. It was his first movie. Sorapong Chatree was supposed to play the main role of Thongpoon but he was not available for the shooting so new comer Jatuphol Poopirom replaced him. As Jatuphol Poopirom died during a car accident in 1981, Sorapong Chatree played the main role in Citizen II. ChatriChalerm Yukol drove around Bangkok for weeks with cab drivers gathering anecdotes for "The Citizen".

It is unofficially claimed that Oliver Stone was inspired from this Thai movie for his controversial "Natural Born Killers'' as many parallels are seen. Two young guys including Sorapong Chatree and Toi (ต่อลาภ กำพุศิริ) are dealing with heroin. The police led by inspector Adul (Kanchit Kwanpracha) fail to catch them. He promises to catch them within 15 days. A journalist takes pictures. Young lady Viyada is robbing malls. The two guys take refuge in Viyada's home as Sorapong knows Viyada. They are modern Thai hooligans. The three young hooligans are living thanks to small thefts (stealing goods, wallets...). They are in rebellion with society (ปัญหาสังคม), i.e. they like damaging public installation, breaking windows, frightening and robbing middle class people, eating in restaurants without paying. Toi is keen on drugs also. Police inspector Adul has never had time for his family even on wedding day or children's birthdays. Journalists called them เทวดาเดินดิน (Grounded gods) as they can do whatever they want, they always escape, and nobody can catch them. They have nothing to lose and know they will die sooner or later. When robbing a house and neutralizing the occupants, they get a gun. While stealing a car, they face a strong foreign owner, who fights against them. He is shot dead by Sorapong so they flee to Southern provinces by train. Sorapong, one of the hooligans, is rebelling against the system as when he was a soldier, he was told to kill communist villagers but those people were good people worshipping the King of Thailand so he lost faith in Thai official institutions. Adul was Sorapong former military superior so it is becoming a personal affair. They become more and more violent. They are caught in a whirlpool. They rob banks and shot policemen. Followed by police, they finally find refuge in the South of Thailand around Yala where they continue their bank robbing. Boo (Boo Wibunna), an ordinary bank staff, decides to join them. They get too much media coverage. Surrounded by the Police, they hide in the jungle and are captured by a Muslim community. Wiyada is injured in the leg. The community is fighting against Thai institutions also but have real motives. It is precursory regarding current violent events happening in South of Thailand. Helping during a fighting where the village is attacked, they are allowed to quit the muslim community. Back in Bangkok, they try to get help from their drug dealer, being an old woman, but they get expelled. Wiyada's injury is getting worse. Wiyada wishes to die in Pattaya near the sea. Chased by the police, they end up in a high tower. The hooligans finally die under Thai Police bullets. This movie also highlights criticism of newspapers looking for scoop and raising them as heroes.

It is about Malee, a Thai country girl, coming to Bangkok and forced to prostitution. She is the hotel angel as she is very kind to everybody. This movie shows the difficult life of prostitutes, i.e. being beaten by pimps, visiting unofficial abortionist in order to terminate unwanted pregnancy, committing suicide, being forced and humiliated by customers, fearing Police, difficulty to have a stable relationship with a man, getting deadly diseases, being denigrated by Thai society. Three girls are depicted. One girl, Malee, all you have to do is give her one smack and she's willing to be a prostitute. She said it's better than working in the fields. The phrase "มาลีเป็นกะหรี่ที่สวยที่สุด" (Malee is the most beautiful prostitute) remains one of the most famous iconic sentence from this movie. It is said by Malee's pimp (Sorapong Chatree). Another girl, you have to beat her up quite a bit before she's willing to be a prostitute. And the last one, the third girl, no matter what you do she won't be a prostitute. She'll jump down, kill herself, but you can't change her. Malee continues to stick to this life because she can have a place to live, food, money to send to her parents in order to build a house. In a famous movie sequence, Malee opens her blouse many times to show her nudity to customers and then her father in the same gesture opens his new home windows paid by Malee hardship. But Malee understands that she has no future as her youth is rushing away. She is not interested by becoming a pimp and grab younger girls so she decides to study tailoring. Being cheated by her boyfriend but having her diploma, Malee can hope for a brighter life and quit this job. Finally she reclaims her dignity. ChatriChalerm Yukol lived for nine months in a brothel when he was writing "The Angel". During the popular uprising on October 14 1973, ChatriChalerm Yukol was shooting this movie, then took the camera out and filmed the demonstration on Ratchadamnoen Avenue. The footage was inserted in the film and was a big success when the movie was shown. This movie has also been registered as National Heritage per the 2016 list released by the Thai Film Archive.
