Krung Srivilai (1946) - กรุง ศรีวิไล

Krung Srivilai played heroes in action movies. When Mitr Chaibancha died in 1970, Thai producers were looking for new stars to replace him. Krung Srivilai was one of them but also Nard Poowanai, Phairoj Jaising, Yodchai Meksuwan. Krung Srivilai was different from 1960s muscular shape actors as he was more slender. He played his first cinema role in 1971. He played his first movie "ลูกยอ" with Petchara. It was the last 16mm Thai movie. Krung is said to have played in more than 400 movies and TV series. He even played in international HK Thai productions such as "Big Boss 2"! Krung Srivilai became politician in party "Peua Thai" under the name of Natee Suthinphuak in 2010

Thai movie แผลเก่า (The Scar) was released multiple times over 50 years. This version was released on mother's day 2014. It really features a beautiful image. The movie action takes place in year 1936. Kwan loves Riem (Davika Hoorne), daughter of the local subdistrict headman called Somyong. Kwan's father (Phongphat Wachirabanjong), village headman, doesn't want his son to love Riem. Riem's father doesn't want Kwan to be around his daughter. Families are enemies. Riem is also in the interest of a Bangkokian young man called Choi. Fighting erupts during a temple fair between Kwan and Choi as Kwan is dancing with Riem. Krung Srivilai as Buddhist temple abbot stops them. Choi gives money to the subdistrict headman as corruption way. He wishes to marry Riem as soon as possible. Kwan and Riem promise to love each other forever in front of local spirit (ศาลเจ้า). Her father announces to Riem that she has to marry Choi. Choi already has many mistresses and children. So Riem and Kwan decide to flee. Choi and the subdistrict headman prevent them. Choi hits Kwan causing him a scar (แผลรักของเรา). Kwan promises revenge. While Kwan is still recovering from injury, Choi and the subdistrict headman bring Riem to Bangkok. Khun Ying (Sinjai Hongthai) buys Riem from the subdistrict headman for 500 baht but forbids her nephew Choi to touch her as he has already many wives and he doesn't care well about them! Kwan's father loved Riem's mother twenty years ago but finally she was forced to marry the subdistrict headman so antagonism stayed between both men. Riem has same face as the lost daughter of the aunt so she raises her same as her daughter to become a noble (ผู้ดี). Kwan goes to Bangkok to find Riem but he is too late as Khun Ying brings Riem overseas for three years. Choi is found injured in Bangkok with a scar... Kwan indulges in alcohol. Kwan promises to his father and to the local spirit shrine to stop drinking. He works hard to keep money, i.e. 500 baht to buy back Riem. Three years have passed. It is year 1939 and World war 2 is starting. Riem is back (ลูกชาวนา) and meets Somchai, member of Thai government. The aunt decides to visit Riem's birthplace again. Kwan meets Riem again. 500 baht is the cost of her shoes only (เจ้าเปลี่ยนไปแล้ว). Somchai (ผู้ชาย Bangkok) takes opportunity to have the aunt and subdistrict headman together to ask Riem's hand. She accepts. Somchai was engaged with the aunt's daughter since childhood. Back to Bangkok, Riem understands that Somchai has already another lover. The wedding is just for principles as she is only a farmer daughter. Only Riem's love was pure and sincere. Riem decides to go back to countryside. It is too late as her mother, Mae Ruay, died already. Kwan has promised to his father to ordain and after ordination he wishes to marry Riem. The Bangkok people try to get back Riem but she refuses. Fighting occurs and Kwan gets shot fatally. Wishing to die in the river, Riem joins him.

Two groups, led by Hua Jayae and Thao Lai Kan, are worshipping a tiger rock deity. They fight against each other for the control of the village. A volcano eruption happens. A mysterious man then appears on the rock. He is a great fighter. His name is Phi Seua. There is a belief that he is the one depicted on old drawings inside a local cave. The deity guardian mentions that Phi Seua is coming here to help Hua Jayae. In fact, Phi Seua accepts gold from both parties. Phi Seua meets Mai Tho, young lady, who is part of a Padaung giraffe women village. As she is assaulted by Thao Lai Kan's ruffians, Phi Seua helps her. As he protects the Padaung village, he is now hunted by the two groups. Phi Seua then faces various criminals, i.e. the hell twins (แฝดนรก) played by the real Banleurit twins, seven brothers with a face similar to famous actor Sangthong Sreesai (สังข์ทอง สีใส), a big and fat ruffian commanding a Godzilla monster. Phi Seua then becomes the Padaung villager's trainer. Phi Seua leaves the Padaung giraffe women village, which is then attacked. Mai Tho is kidnaped so Phi Seua has to come back to help and defeat the bad guys. This movie is similar to a Manga story. It mixes comedy and action. It has many references to famous movies such as Lord of the rings, the return of the Jedi, western spaghetti, the Magnificent Seven. It includes many famous comic actors from decade 2000s.

This folk-music movie is a remake of one of the most famous Thai movie (มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง) shot in 1970. It features 14 folk songs or "LUUK THUNG" songs. It is about a love story between a poor peasant, Klao, and a young woman, Thong Kwao, coming from a rich family. Thong Kwao's parents are worried about the family assets if their daughter marries a poor man so they send her to Bangkok so that she can be far away from Klao. Thong Kwao's parents refuse Klao's proposal for marriage and request an expensive dower (ค่าสินสอด), i.e. 100 000 Baht. Various misunderstandings happen between Klao and Thong Kwao but love will win.

Thai movie คนปีมะ was released in year 2003. It lasts 1h59mn. Note Chernyim is the movie director. It is a musical Comedy. Four guys are having bad luck, i.e. Nok (นภัสกร มิตรเอม) a Thai boxer defeated and his girlfriend leaving him for an older richer man, Kung (Jaturong Mokjok) a Likay performer injuring incidentally his mother (Naowarat Yooktanun), David (ถั่วแระ เชิญยิ้ม) always failing magic tricks, Pao (ชูษี เชิญยิ้ม) wishing to be a singer. As they complain that gods are not helping them, the gods finally send an angel (เทวดา) called Sai Fa to help them. Same as Terminator movie scene, the angel comes to help them. All are born the horse year (คนปีมะ). Multiple country songs (ลูกทุ่ง) are happening during the movie. The five friends help a young lady called O (นิธิพร มั่นนาค). Her father is close to Nai Amnat (Krung Srivilai). Nai Amnat tries to be a nice man as he gives money to support the school, where O is a teacher, but he is in fact a ruffians’ leader dealing with drugs. His friends tease Nok as he is only a poor guy (หมาวัด) and has little chance to win O’s heart (ดอกฟ้า). Nok meets Chatchai Plengpanich, his idol. Chusak Aiemsuk is playing a small ruffian’s role also. A woman has proofs against Nai Amnat’s illegal activities. Before fleeing, she gives a CD to her son. He takes refuge with the five friends but the ruffians keep looking for the child. The five friends protect the child and the angle Sai Fa uses his special power to help them. Nai Amnat hires hitman Prakan (Akom Preedakul) to get rid of the five friends. Police finally intervenes to catch the ruffians. Nok gets rid of the leader through Thai boxing. Sai Fa has to go back to heaven and to leave his friends. The movie got a revenue of 25M Baht.

Tok (Lor Tok), playing an occult master (อาจารย์), is abusing credulity of young ladies having love issues. The children also get money from faithful people coming to get monks' advice. Koti is a good singer so a lady promises to release a music tape for him. At school, Koti sees two motorbike drivers giving drugs (ยาบ้า) to some students (นักเรียน). Koti is now aware that some students are addicted (ติดยา). A lady (ดวงเดือน จิไธสงค์ - Sorapong Chatree’s wife in real life and in this movie also) with her two daughters, Joey and Chutima, visits monk Krung but she forgets her purse. Kowit Wattanakul is raising birds. Koti gives back the purse but refuses a reward as the monk taught him. Koti and his friend hear ruffians discussing about drugs traffic in the cemetery located in the Buddhist temple. Lor Tok is arrested by Thai police. Sorapong, father of Joey and Chutima, is unwilling that his daughters meet the temple boys. The two daughters visit the Buddhist temple and get kidnapped by the motorbike taxis. The ruffians plan to resell the girls in a prostitution ring. Koti and his friends are also captured as the ruffians' leader believes the friend attacks his parents before. Police are warned. Finally, Koto, Poum, Joey and Chutima succeed to flee but ruffians are chasing them. Luckily a beggar in the Buddhist temple gives important advice to the Thai police. Police catch them on time and Koti neutralises the ruffians’ leader. Sorapong has always been negative about Koti but finally appreciates his help to release his daughters.

Subdistrict headman (กำนัน) Chom and businessman Anoon are in trouble as the former local head of the police is replaced by an incorruptible new police inspector (สารวัตร) Cheutchai (Bin Banleurit). Chom’s business is disrupted by this new police inspector, who shot some robbers (ปล้นตลาด). Thuan and Wet (Kowit Wattanakul) are local villagers facing Chom and its thugs led by Chat. Chom is coming from Phetburi and has an alliance with Chot (Krung Srivilai), his counterpart in Chonburi province. Both subdistricts headmen are also local godfathers (เจ้าพ่อ). Noot and Raem are the daughters of subdistrict headman Chot. Romance and nice songs are happening between them and Wet / Thuan. Chom uses bad influence (อิทธิพล) to buy land and houses through coercion. Chom wants to force Thuan to sell his land but he refuses. Cheutchai helps him on time to exit a difficult situation as Chat and his men were beating him. Sairong, Thuan's sister, asks for the police inspector’s help (ศัตรูกัน). Businessman Anoon often meets Chom and Ming (ผู้ใหญ่). Anoon needs to stop business with Ming as his ruffians hurt his own daughter, Tanya (Thida Thidarat), while trying to kill Cheutchai. Chom and Ming recruit hitmen to get rid of Cheutchai but it fails. Tanya and her friend Sairong are kidnapped by Chom's team led by Chat. Cheutchai is also captured while going to Chom’s house to know the truth about Tanya whereabouts. Thuan and Wet then attack the house. Following various fightings and shootings, all ruffians and corrupted subdistricts headmen are killed. As usual 16:9 movie put in VCD format cut the movie edges leaving a weird feeling sometimes when watching the film.

Thai movie ผ่าปืน 91 was released in year 1991. Movie is directed by Chalong Pukdeewichit. The Thai cable TV version lasts 1h23mn. The original version lasts 1h38mn. Ruffians led by Dam Datsakorn and Rith Luecha storm a warehouse to steal weapons. The warehouse guardian (Sithao Petcharoen) is shot dead and two policemen are killed while ruffians flee. Sombat Methanee, company chairman, asks support from Police Captain (ผู้กอง) Passakorn (Chatchai Plengpanich) as they worked together before. Passakorn and his colleague Maurice (Morris K - มอริส เค) enquiry about the company managing the logistics. The secretary Pawinee (ริสา หงษ์หิรัญ) is not cooperative. The company manager Kangwan (ผู้จัดการ - Manop Aussawathep) is away. The secretary leaves with a briefcase. The briefcase is stolen following a robbing. Passakorn and the secretary follow the robbers. The robbers are led by Dam, seconded by Rith. Passakorn is captured and is about to be killed (เช็คบิลได้เลย) but the secretary Pawinee and a Japanese policeman called Ken (อรรถชัย อนันตเมฆ) save him. Ken is Pawinee’s boyfriend. Passakorn meets again Sombat, who introduces him to his company manager Kangwan. Dam tries to get rid of Passakorn by threatening his girlfriend (อย่าให้พลาด) but it fails thanks to Maurice. Dam tries to embuscade Passakorn in a mall but he fails again as Krung Srivilai (คนที่หวังดี) provides some help to Passakorn. Passakorn wishes his girlfriend to find another job as she is working in a pub to welcome guests. Pawinee names Passakorn’s girlfriend as Mae Nak! Ruffians try to kill Passakorn and chairman Sombat but they fail again. While in a pub, Rith and ruffians storm it to kill Passakorn. His girlfriend is shot dead by Rith. Upset, Passakorn chases Rith but he is stunned by Dam before able to get revenge on Rith. On a boat, Passakorn discovers that the ruffians' big boss is Kangwan! Tied, Passakorn is thrown in the water. Pawinee, being an outstanding diver, saves him again. Kangwan comes to Pattaya to do business for weapons (อาวุธร้าย M48) with foreigners. Chased by ruffians, Passakorn and Pawinee get help from Krung. Ken betrays Pawinee by failing to put a timing bomb on Kangwan's boat. Kangwan and Dam are doing business at the Cambodian border. Thai navy tries to stop them but they take hostages. Fighting happens causing Kangwan and Dam to be killed. Krung, showing his real face, wishes to take over the weapons. In a last move to show he wasn’t a bad guy, Ken sacrifices his life to neutralize Krung.

Thai movie ทอง ภาค 3 / The lost idol (1988) lasts 89 minutes. Chalong Pukdeewichit is same director as previous sequels. A company of American soldiers is lost in Cambodia in 1975. They face Vietcong attack. They find a Brahma statue made of pure gold. The company carries it and their leader Oliver decides to hide it until the war is over. He betrays his own soldiers by shooting them but one, called Kirt (Erik Estrada), succeeds to flee despite being injured. The leader Oliver believes they are all dead. Meanwhile Red Khmer soldiers led by Sorapong Chatree are still chasing the US soldiers. They shoot Oliver and take for granted that he is dead. Kirt derives on a tree trunk and young Thai lady Lamyai helps him. He recovers and decides to stay with Lamyai. Meanwhile Oliver receives a promotion, a US medal and decides to go back to Thailand. He meets Catherine, his girlfriend, who is a US doctor working at the Thai Cambodian border. Colonel (ผู้พัน) Oliver asks Don (Likit Eakmongkol) to build a team in order to get back the statue from Cambodia. Part of this team are Krung Srivilai and Rith Luecha present in previous opus but with different roles. Christopher (Christoph Klüppel) is also part of the team. He was selected by Chalong Pukdeewichit thanks to his impressive bodybuilding. 1M baht is promised for each. Half now and half when the job is completed. Another group is following Oliver also. They threaten Katherine to get information. To force Kirt to join his team, Oliver kidnaps his daughter. Kirt has to accept to lead them through the Thai Cambodian border as it is full of mines. Meanwhile Katherine is going to Cambodian side to help poor people per her previous promise to Sorapong. It reminds the real story of Phanom Rung lintel stolen during Vietnam war and given back to Thailand in year 1988. Sayan Chantaraviboon and Apiradee Pawaputanon are part of the Red Khmer army. Sorapong's men are all killed during an embuscade and Katherine is captured. The Vietnamese soldiers wish to know why Oliver is back. Despite being tortured, Oliver refuses to speak. Kirt tells the Vietnamese about the gold statue (เทวดารูปทองคำ). The Vietnamese leader (นพพล โกมารชุน) plans to bring it back to Vietnam. One Cambodian man warns Sorapong that this statue belongs to Cambodian heritage and that it should stay here. They attack the truck convoy and the mercenaries free themselves. Sorapong asks mercenaries to join his team if they want to spare their life. If they survive, they will get freedom. The Khmer soldiers and the mercenaries attack the Vietnamese camp. Heavy fightings happen as Vietnamese soldiers have tanks. The Vietnamese leader succeeds to flee with the golden statue through an helicopter. Oliver sneaks in also. The statue finally falls in the lake and the helicopter crashes in the mountain. Chalong Pukdeewichit uses same recipe as previous sequels, i.e. famous Thai actors to be able to attract Thai audience and quite famous foreign actors to attract overseas audience.

Chat (Sorapong Chatree) and Thanong (Sombat Methanee) are mafia members (นักเลง) and friends. Thanong is a mafia head (เจ้าพ่อ). There are always internal fights with other mafia leaders. Nancy (Apiradee Pawaputanon) is Chat's girlfriend. Chat and Thanong are dressed like Chicago gangsters and are always smoking cigars. Thanong's younger brother, Rut, is a policeman but he is not fully aware about his brother’s activities. Pen (Pumpuang Duangchan) is a nurse. Thanong likes her a lot (นักรัก). Thanong wishes to change his job but he cannot leave his subordinates (ลูกน้อง). Thanong asks Pen for wedding. A shooting happens during the wedding but none is injured. Chat escapes to Shing, who is now a traitor and wishes to get rid of Thanong to take his position (บ้าอำนาจ). Thanong, through a Typical Rambo 2 scene with big guns, wishes to punish Shing. Thanong is captured by the police following a rampage at Shing’s home and sent to jail. Chat needs to send Nancy away so that he can handle the situation. She is finally killed. Chat wishes to revenge her. There is a famous scene featuring a killing rampage by Chat in a restaurant with guns hidden in each flower pot. Three years have passed. Thanong is released from prison but he doesn't want to return to underworld mafia. Chat was injured to the ankle so he cannot walk properly anymore. Chat is now a car glass washer. Without their boss, Thanong’s men are wrecked (กูรอมึง). Thanong is accused of Rut's sister murder. Rut is upset because his brother is a ruffian (เป็นพี่เป็นโจร) so his management doesn't trust him. Thanong’s men including Chat are disappointing that Thanong wants to be out of mafia business (วางมือจากวงการ) and doesn’t want to give a lesson to Shing. Shing wants Thanong to be back in business as partner but Thanong refuses. Shing’s men beat severely Chat and also threaten Rut to convince Thanong to change his mind. Chat succeeds to get proofs regarding Shing’s illegal activities. Those proofs are given to Rut. Before fleeing, Chat and Thanong wish to face Shing a last time for an ultimate revenge. It is the last movie where Sombat Methanee had the leading role. This Thai movie is based on the Hong Kong movie “A Better Tomorrow” (1986) shot by John Woo. The scenario is very similar. It involves strong action and some comedy. Sorapong Chatree plays same role as Chow Yun-Fat. The movie is entertaining but the realisation is not as good as the one from John Woo. The end of the movie is very weird. It stops abruptly when Thanong is going to face Shing. Thanong is expected to die. There is unfortunately a weird movie abrupt ending.

Don (Krung Srivilai) is always looking for troubles with ruffians (นักเลง) and hitmen. Most of the time he is drunk. Pot (Duangdeuan Jithaisong) is now Phayak's girlfriend (แฟน) but Don loved her before. Don is now married to Phaen. Phayak (Sorapong Chatree) (มือปราบที่จับตายทุกคน) is local subdistrict headman. Ruffian So is looking for revenge (คิดบัญชี) against Phayak as this latter put him in jail before. Amnat (Chat Mongkolchai) arrives with 20 ruffians in a restaurant. Phayak tries to stop their rampage. Don helps as the situation was getting tense. Don finds Phaen (อี๊สาวเลว) in bed with a ruffian. Ruffian So kidnaps Pot. It is a trick to kill Phayak but it fails. Ruffians see Don as a weak drunkard. Don also punches ruffians showing them that they shall not insult him too much (แมงดา). Phayak's responsibility now extends to cover territory from So. Amnat's ruffians storm Phayak's home and kill everybody (ครอบครัว) including Pot despite strong opposition. Pot is finally only injured. Phaen was aware but didn't warn Don. Amnat proposes a duel to Phayak but it will be 7 against 3. Don is severely sick due to alcohol but Phaen takes care of him. Amnat prepares a trick again. Don comes to give a hand. Lepso VCD คู่แค้นปืนเดือด (1988) is only 1h16mn long so the movie was certainly cut a lot and so making the movie directing a bit awkward. Sorapong is wearing a north confederation hat.

Thai movie ปล้นข้ามโลก / Faithful Spirit / 手足情 was released in year 1987 and lasts 1h36mn. It is a Hong Kong Thai coproduction. A VHS was also released in Japan and lasts 1h30mn featuring a sharp picture. In Hong Kong, during a police operation, a policeman Saichai (Hong Kong actor Lau Wan-Fung) is surprised to see one of his friends being part of the gangsters they are chasing. He prevents another policeman to shoot his friend, who can flee. The head of the police has now doubt on Saichai's integrity and suspends him from police duty. Saichai is very upset. He has a fight with some gangsters and during the fight, a policeman, trying to arrest them, is killed accidentally. Saichai is accused to have killed this policeman. His friend proposes to Saichai to flee to Thailand and to stay with uncle Chuan. In Thailand, ผู้กอง Sorapong Chatree tries to catch a kidnapper having taken two foreign teachers in hostage. Inspector (สารวัตร) Ron Rittichai (รณ ฤทธิชัย) succeeds to enter in the room and shoots the kidnapper. Uncle Chuan is involved in diamond trade. Palang (Chat Mongkolchai) is disappointed that Chuan wishes to retire. Three ruffians belonging to Palang shoot uncle Chuan and his wife. Khun Kamton (Krung Srivilai) is the big boss. Kamton asks for additional money from all godfathers. Fed up, the godfathers pushed by khun Prasong (Chaiya Suriyun) gather 200 000 baht to get rid of him and a hitman kills Kamton. Uncle Chuan recovers gradually. Saichai promises to take care of Palang. Following a fight in a restaurant, Saichai kills Sia Palang. Godfather Prasong knows that the killer is a former Hong Kong policeman. By threatening Saichai to have him expelled from Thailand, Godfather Prasong hires him to kill other godfathers. One time, he fails as police intervenes. Saichai believes Prasong tried to betray him. Police fails to catch Saichai. Saichai gets a Thai girlfriend called Mary (ชุติมา กาวินละ). Three Hong Kong men are sent to jail following a failed robbery. Saichai knows them. Godfather Prasong is finally arrested by Sorapong following a drug case foiled by Thai police. Somchai Samipak is playing head of Police. Saichai succeeds to release two of his friends. The third one succeeds to escape as police intentionally wants to find other Hong Kong men thanks to him. Police surrounds the house where the Hong Kong men are hiding. They refuse to surrender. Ron Rittichai has to do the dirty job to neutralize the Hong Kong robbers...

Thai movie เสือภูพาน was released in year 1986. The movie "เสือภูพาน", released under VCD by Lepso ltd, lasts only 56 minutes so for sure the original movie was cut a lot so making the whole story a bit difficult to understand. The movie เสือภูพาน was already released by Happy Time ltd so this version might be longer. Another online version lasts 1h07mn. It was also released under as an international title as "Spy Inferno" (1h26mn). It is a mix of Thai footage and Hong Kong footage done by Filmark production. The movie is in Spanish language. The Thai footage lasts more than one hour. The picture quality of "Spy inferno" is much better than the Thai VCD release. Some scenes are present only in the Filmark version and some only in the Thai VCD version. The Thai actors are not even mentioned in the credits. Soldiers led by Phupan (Krung Srivilai) are attacked by traitors. As their leader is injured, they have to retreat. This group of traitors is led by a big chief (Boo Wibunnan). The big chief leader wears Vietnamese clothes with a communist red star. They are traitors to the Thai nation. His ruffians' team includes Somsak Chaisongkram, Chat Mongkolchai, Krai Kanchit, Pao Porapak, ชูชัย ชัชดา and Pipop Pupinyo. They terrorize and ransack the local population. Kamnan (กำนัน) Lit is taking orders from a female boss (หัวหน้า) called Melan (Nareerat Monsiri). Only two men, Seu (Sorapong Chatree) and Phupan, are organizing resistance against them. Seu’s parents and younger sister were killed by the ruffians. The international version shows the village attack by the ruffians. Subdistrict headman (กำนัน) Yeun refuses to sell his land to the ruffians. Lit tries to intimidate Yeun. Seu helps a singer aggressed by Somsak Chaisongkram (เล่นผัวเมียกัน). Seu is kidnapped by the ruffians but refuses to divulge information on Phupan. The doctor Bua helps Seu to flee. A chase is engaged to catch them back. Kamnan Lit kidnaps Yeun to force Yeun’s daughter (ไปรมา รัชตะ) to be his wife. Her friend Promod helps to release Kamnan Lit. There is a secret informer (หูตา), called Number 13, inside the ruffians’ team. The traitors move to another secret place but Bua leads the Thai army there. Melan is finally uncovered as the hidden informer inside the ruffians. The Thai army, helped by Seu, storm the ruffians’ headquarters but faces strong opposition. Seu appears in hill tribes clothes. All ruffians are killed. Bua dies in the fightings. Thai movie เสือภูพาน reminds of movies such as ชุมแพ 2 (1984) or เสือภูเขา (1979) where a hill tribe character has strong fighting skills.

Many guests including Indian merchant Imadoo (Krung Srivilai) are invited to a diamond show to see the famous Diamond Rasamee. Komkrit (Sorapong Chatree), young playboy, is also present. Following a mess during the show, the power supply is cut and Komkrit succeeds to steal the big diamond. The diamond owner dies due to heart crisis. His son promises to take revenge. Komkrit flees thanks to a delta-plane. Komkrit is always accompanied by a dwarf. Komkrit has been hired by ruffian Araki to steal the diamond. Araki is dishonest and tries to get rid of Komkrit. Following a fight, the diamond falls from the window. Two skilled policemen, Den, coming back from America, and Ms Pisawat are responsible to catch Komkrit (โจรปล้นเพชร). Den is a blunderer. Komkrit and his dwarf assistant are looking for the diamond into a slum they believe it falls in. They are aggressively welcomed by a bunch of other dwarfs. Their younger sister (น้องสาว) is Pheung. A romance starts between Pheung and Komkrit. Araki is also looking for Komkrit. The diamond is finally found on the roof of Pheung's house. Following fights and chase with ruffians and police, the diamond is lost in an ice factory. Den forces Komkrit to help the police if he wants to escape prison. The diamond is found in soft drink ice bag. One of the dwarf swallows it. Araki’s team and also Imadoo’s team fight each other to get the dwarf. Imadoo claims this jewel is a sacred item for his Indian religion. Komkrit finally gets back the diamond following a fight with Araki's ruffian in the air on parachute. Meanwhile Pheung and the dwarfs are taken as hostages (ตัวประกัน) and have to be exchanged against the diamond to save their life. The police and Komkrit storm Araki's secret base at nighttime. It is also storing a huge stock of weapons. Final part of the movie is a typical James Bond sequence with an impressive number of jet- skis invading the island. Traitors to Thailand are punished. Diamond is finally given back to India. As usual with director Chalong Pukdeewichit, his movies include a mix of action, comedy, a few foreign actors and a spice of sexy actress. The movie ปล้นลอยฟ้า is known overseas under the name "Eye of the condor".

Thup is getting delivery orders from a warehouse managed by subdistrict headman Chai. Ruffian Chat Mongkolchai is working for subdistrict headman Chai. Each time, they refill petrol, the trucks must pay 20 THB extra fee (ค่าน้ำมัน). This is extortion and it makes Thup and his friends, Krong and Kamsai, very upset. Thup meets his old soldier friend played by Krung Srivilai. Thup still has his mother (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) and a younger sister called Thien. Thup realises that the ruffians try to hide opium in the goods he has to transport. He refuses and quits the warehouse. Subdistrict headman Chai threatens him to keep quiet. Thup helps Rung (Mai Charoeunpura) having her truck stuck in a trench. Subdistrict headman Chai calls local banks and has Thup blacklisted in all local companies. Thup cannot find a new job. Luckily Rung proposes him to work for her and to transport jars (โอ่ง) from Bangkok. He has arguments with Chat and his men when visiting Krung's restaurant. Ruffians try to prevent him to pay back his truck, but it fails. Thup and Noi are ambushed by Chat and his ruffians. Noi is shot by ruffians. It is time for revenge. Thup, helped by Krong and Kamsai, storm a restaurant and shoot Chat and three of his men. Police try to arrest Thup but he flees. Ruffians storm his home and shoots his mother. His sister and Rung are captured. Thup storms subdistrict headman Chai’s warehouse to know where his sister and Rung are held prisoners. Chai tells the location and is then arrested by the Police. To avoid long term jail, he also discloses the ruffians’ den location, i.e. a remote cave. Thup, Krong and Kamsai enter the place while police and Thai soldiers also try to overcome the place. Thup finds his sister having been killed. The big boss is Krung. Thup is disappointed that Krung, as a soldier, who served Thailand, can behave like this. Thup gets a flamethrower and takes revenge over Krung, who hurt his family very badly.

As some parts of the movie are missing the storytelling is sometimes awkward. Movie director is ถาวร พริ้งสกุล. Doo (Doo Dook Kradon) is captured by a group of men and is forced for a wedding. The daughter's father, Boo Wibunnan, is the owner of a big hotel in Bangkok and wishes Doo to move to Bangkok to help take care of the hotel. The wedding is a failure. Cheut (Kowit Wattanakul) works with his father in the car repair business. The elder brother is absent. Ruffians including เมือง อพอลโล่ kill the father and mother but Cheut succeeds to flee. Bancha (Kecha Plianvithee) is the mastermind as he wants the land (ที่ดิน). Cheut's girlfriend (ทิพย์มณี ญาณี), teacher Manee, informs him. Ruffians ask him to leave the city but he refuses. Cheut's brother is Chat (Chaiya Suriyun), a small policeman. Ruffians try to kill the two brothers but fail. Linda, ผู้ช่วย (Apiradee Pawaputanon), is nominated to help Chat. Linda arrives by boat driven by Chot (Toon Hiransap). As the two brothers are surrounded by ruffians (หมาหมู), they get support from policeman Krung Srivilai. The two brothers promise to get revenge for their parents. Linda, the subdistrict officer’s daughter, asks villagers not to be afraid of ruffians as Thai police are on their side. Bancha warns the sub district officer, his daughter Linda, Chot and Doo not to interfere in their business. Chot is not willing to help so he gets scolded by Chat and Cheut. Linda and Manee are kidnapped by ruffians. Cheut and Chat succeed to release Linda. Policeman Krung tries to arrest ruffians. As some ruffians are found dead, he suspects Cheut. The sub district officer is killed. Krung, Chot and Linda try to embuscade Bancha to arrest him but it fails. Somebody is shooting the ruffians with a magnum 357 but nobody knows who the shooter is. Deputy Panom is involved. Bancha is his younger brother so he protects him. Finally ruffians are neutralized and Bancha is shot dead.

Thai movie นักรบประจัญบาน was released in year 1984 and lasts 1h47mn. Toranong Srichua is the movie director. The Thai VCD has a good image quality but is 4:3 format. A Japanese VHS version is in 16:9 format but only lasts 1h29mn. It is a Sahamongkol production. A group of heavily armed Thai terrorists (including Dam Datsakorn, Somsak Chaisongkram, Pinyo Parnnui) are trained in Thailand. The Thai army commander asks to neutralize them asap. Tet (Krung Srivilai), previous military officer and now disabled, is sitting on a wheelchair and is pushed by his wife (Pissamai Wilaisak). He is providing advices to Thai army commander. Det (Sorapong Chatree) is Tet’s previous best fighter (นักรบ). Tet was his superior (ภูพาน) in year 1971. Both Tet and Det were the only survivors following heavy fightings at the Thai border. Tet lost use of his legs. The Daily News Press director sends his best journalist Ann (ศิริพร เอี่ยมสุนทร) to enquiry on a factory building illegally war weapons. The factory owner is Somsak Chaisongkram. The journalist receives threatening to stop her investigation on the factory. Meanwhile Tet demonstrates to Thai army commander his latest armored vehicle (รถวิเศษ). His own daughter (ระพีพรรณ กรสกุล) is the driver. Somsak is also very interested but Tet refuses to sell to him. Somsak sold weapons to communists causing Tet’s former military unit to be decimated. Ruffians storm Tet's house and kidnap his wife. Police inspector (Chaiyan Sorakrai) wishes to help but Tet prefers to handle by himself as those kidnappers are not standard ruffians. Det, learning the news from a newspaper, decides to flee while doing community work in order to help his former boss. Ann helps him to find Tet. During tentative exchange with Somsak, Tet's wife is killed through a remote bomb hidden on her body. It is war. Tet provides proofs to Ann that Somsak sold weapons illegally to Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam. Tet is kidnapped. A bomb is put in Daily news’ office by a renegade police officer but Police inspector Chaiyan stops it on time. Police locates the terrorist camp and tries to destroy it. Det uses the armored vehicle. Tet's daughter joins him with an individual flying machine. As policemen get difficulties, they wipe the terrorist opposition and release Tet. For this movie, Krung Srivilai made his head bald and was sitting in a wheelchair during whole movie. Toranong Srichua used his movie as a reference to show what risks could happen in Thailand in the future. Some happened (domestic terrorists, police officer betraying country, remote bombs on people…).

A young lady Apple is supposed to get married. On her wedding day, another lady comes to get back her husband (หลอกเรา). Apple is disappointed again. Apple is part of a group of three ladies, who are close friends and always help each other. One is Pen (Naowarat Yooktanun), one is sexy Nook (Pornpan Ketmamatsu) and the last one is Apple (Jarunee Sooksawad). They decide to focus on money first instead of love as all men are liars anyway. They find a job in the same company. At night time, they play an escort role in a gambling casino (บ่อน) in order to try finding rich men but the police raids the place. Apple gets refuge in Chatri's car as she mistakes it as a taxi in order to escape to the police. Apple tries her luck again in her search for a rich man (เศรษฐี) in a sport club. They meet Krit (Thongchai McIntyre), who invites them to Chiang Mai in his countryside house. Apple asks Chatri (Sorapong Chatree) to drive them to Chiang Mai. As his car is broken, they just dropped him to go for hitchhiking. Chatri also is also rescued by Krit. He knows the game played by the three girls and have strong sarcasms over them. While wandering in the forest, they have arguments with illegal loggers. They are kidnaped but succeeded to flee except Nook. Krit saves Nook. They finally go back to Bangkok as they run out of money. Pen put the furnitures in a pawn shop (โรงจำนำ) to get money. Krit orders the furnitures to be replaced. Apple is fed up with rich people so she leaves her friends. The movie ends happily with the three ladies getting married. This movie is a typical romantic comedy from 1980s led by local superstars Sorapong Chatre and Jarunee Sooksawad. It also shows modern women vision and status in 1980s Thai society.

Kata (Krung Srivilai) / Leuachai (Rith Luecha) and Manop Aussawathep always have music orchestra (วงดนตรี) competition (สงครามเพลง). Manop's group thinks it has won by using Settha Sirachaya as singer but the group led by Kata uses singer Pumpuang Duangchan. It degenerates and brawl fighting happens between the two groups. Everybody ends up in jail. Police inspector (Somchai Samipak) summon the two orchestra leaders by telling them that music orchestra (วงการเพลง) is an art (วงการศิลาปิน) and should not end up in fighting. Apika (Naowarat Yooktanun) pays the bailing fee (ค่าปรับ). Kata wishes to have the most famous orchestra with Pumpuang as superstar. Manop’s group needs to find a new singer able to compete with Pumpuang. They decide to hire heartthrob singer Yotrak salakchai. Many Luk Thung (ลูกทุ่ง) songs are featured in this movie. Sayan Chantaraviboon is featured as the owner of a recording studio. Kampi is younger brother of Kata. Kampi loves secretly a lady called Tosaen (Thitima Sangkapitak). Kampi writes love songs towards Tosaen and those songs are used by Manop’s orchestra. Apika, daughter of Manop, discovers that songs are written by Kampi and refuses to buy them anymore believing it is a trick of Kata again. Tosaen becomes lover with Kata. A romance starts between Yotrak and Pumpuang, between Apika and Kampi. It causes concerns to both Kata and Manop (น้องชายของศัตรู). Pumpuang flees so Yotrak leaves the orchestra to find her. Pumpuang is indebted to Kata but she chooses freedom and love towards being a singer. Kata and Manop decide to launch strong fighting (สงครามเพลง / สงครามเลือด) against each other. Amid a battle between the two groups, Pumpuang convinces them for a truce. Tosaen tries to get back Kampi. Leuachai is not ready for truce. Apika quits Kampi as Tosaen left on purpose a bra in his car. During a concert, Leuachai tries to shoot Kata and Manop but finally gets punched by Kampi and then slot by Police. It is the end of violence in music orchestra contest. Tosaen tells the truth to Apika so she can be reunited with Kampi.

Fighting is happening in a village. All villagers are killed by mercenaries led by Rith (Rith Luecha). Fighters, riding horses and wearing black clothes, led by Maneerak (Jarunee Sooksawad) are chasing them away. Maneerak has a mixed of Ninja and cowboy skills. Two groups are fighting for this area control as it contains precious gems. One group includes Maekin (Krung Srivilai), Kecha (Kecha Plianvithee), Maneewong (Nipaporn Nongnuch) and Maneerak. The opposite group includes Rith, Lak (Lak Apichat) and Runfa (Linda Khatancharoen). Maneerak, Maneewong and Runfa are three sisters. Their father died before. Rith's ruffians are looking over workers digging for gems. Yutta (Sorapong Chatree) finds a big black emerald (มรกตดำ) and flees away but is chased by the guards. The black stone (ก้อนหิน) is a sacred item. It helps to get rid of the guards and a blind monk appears to Yutta to encourage him to take good care of the stone. A mysterious man called Chaiya (Chaiya Suriyun) keeps surveying the two groups. Yutta is involved despite him in the fightings between the two groups as he helped Maneewong and then sold some gems. Yutta loves Runfa but she cannot be trusted as she steals the black stone while he is sleeping. This time, Yutta helps Maneerak, younger sister of Maneewong. The black stone belongs to Tibet and Runfa tries to sell it. Maneerak is able to get the black stone as Rufa's domestic helper stole it. Maneewong wishes to get the full heritage of her father. Maneerak visits her mum (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng) in a Buddhist retreat on a hill. Yutta follows her but Maneewong and her lover Maekin are just behind. Duel happens between Yutta and Maekin. Everybody is now looking for the black stone. Maekin kills Rith during the fighting between the two groups. Yutta gets rid of Lak. Finally both Yutta and Maekin are discovered to be undercover police officers (ผู้กอง). Chaiya(Chaiya Suriyun) is an undercover military officer. Chaiya and the mother make everybody realize greed. Understanding is back in the family and Yutta will bring back the black stone to Tibet with Maneerak. This 1h37mn movie is part of Thai Tom Yam western style. The Thai movie poster mentioned that nine Thai stars, having received Thai cinema awards before, are featured in this movie.

ทอง ภาค 2 / Goldraider is a sequel of ทอง ภาค 1. It was released in year 1982. It lasts 1h33mn. It is a DVD featuring English language with Thai subtitles. The plane leaving Laos with gold bars is shot down. There is a stock valued 200M USD on board. Cheut (Sombat Methanee) and Satra (Krung Srivilai), both present in first sequel, succeed to jump by parachute. Cheut ends in a mountain village where Wassana Sitthiweth is a teacher. Satra ends in another village led by Somchai Samipak and is accused of being a spy. As one leader wishes to marry Naowarat Yooktanun, Satra's life is spared as he needs to offer gold for the wedding. So Satra must lead them. Another team led by Mark (Robert Ginty) and including Cordelia (Sarah Langenfeld), Penpoin (Lalana Sulawan) - explosive expert -, Rith Luecha – knife expert - and others is on the way to the border to prevent communists to grab the gold bars. The commando has to get back three big boxes containing weapons and delivered by planes. The Laotian leader is a general (Manop Aussawathep), who has a crippled leg. He has to catch the gold raiders and find the gold bars to give back to his commander Sahat Piempongsan. While crossing a ravine, the gold raiders get reunited with Satra and Naowarat, who were fleeing from the Laotian soldiers. They finally all get captured except Mark, who flees through his flying motorcycle. Penpoin recognises her former Thai boyfriend, who is now a captain in the communist army. At night time, Mark releases them and they storm the ruffians' camp. As the village chief was killed, Naowarat guides them to the plane. They succeed to steal the gold bars from the laotian soldiers and rush to the Mekong river to wait for US helicopters. Manop Aussawathep tries to steal the gold from his own commander Sahat Piempongsan. Laotian army reinforcement arrives but the gold raiders succeed to slow them down. It is about the love between the young people, Kamanit and Vasinee. It takes place in India 2000 years ago and features many songs. Coming back to his city, Kamanit is captured by outlaws. Young lady Lam Duan (พนิดา ทองทัต) helps the Thai King (Surasit Sattayawong) to flee. Ayutthaya city is burnt and destroyed as the traitor opens the door to Burmese soldiers. Resistance is on. He promises to be responsible of his acts. Chased by Dam's ruffians including Pan Borapet, MouMou splits with Decha to attract the ruffians. She is unfortunately shot by ruffians and falls from a cliff. Toon (Lor Tok) is Decha's assistant. Lor Tok as medium (คนทรง) convinces the grandmother that Noi is her lost granddaughter. If Decha marries Noi, lost granddaughter, then they will have 1M baht to share! On the wedding day, MouMou is back. She wants to get her husband Decha back. Krung was the one to rescue MouMou when she falls from the cliff. He wishes to marry her but she refuses as she loves Decha, her husband in this life and previous life as Reuang. In order not to lose 1M baht, Noi has to accept to share Decha with MouMou. One day in alternance (โควตา) but jealousy makes it impossible to happen. Yoo and Beung want to help Sin who is treated like a slave by the sub-district headman family. Sin loves Kru, the daughter of Kamnan Pho. Beung kills both the brother and the father. Phalat accepts bribe (ใช้อำนาจ) from a Thai Chinese businessman. Beung wants to arrange a wedding between Sin and Kru but finally Kru becomes Yoo's fiancee as Sin doesn't want to be forced anymore! Phalat wishes to marry Anoolak. But she is still awaiting for Yoo. Her father was forced to fiance her with Phalat due to some debts. Phalat organizes kidnapping of Anoolak. She finally escapes thanks to Sin. Beung shoots the Chinese businessman to stop corruption. Young lady Nokarin likes Beung, an eternal bachelor. Fa Pa, convinced by his family and Anoolak, finally surrenders to the police and his complaints are heard by the district officer. Palat and his acolytes are dismissed (ยุติธรรม). The weddings Yoo / Anoolak and Sin / Kru can happen. But Palat wishes for revenge. They storm the wedding ceremony and shoot guests. The ruffians are defeated but Sin and Beung are shot dead while trying to protect each other. It is linked to their karma. Good deeds are recompensed but bad deeds are paid. Bulam is now bullied by the ruffians but this time, Don Manora (Krung Srivilai) helps her. To join Net's team, Don agrees to knock out Lom but he fails. Don flees with Bulam. Don wishes to meet นาย Prachuap as he wishes to work for him. At nighttime he investigates their warehouses and finds boxes full of M16 weapons. Prachuap is upset as his stock of weapons hidden on the island has disappeared. Simulating being a spirit doctor (หมอดู), Phairoj Jaising is visiting the ruffians site. He meets เสีย Prachuap's girlfriend (Tharika Thidathip). Jaising is undercover policeman. He is recognised and captured. Don succeeds to release him and flees with Bulam. The ruffians succeed to kidnap the ladies again. Fightings happen with the police. Ruffians are overcome. Net tries to flee with the van with the girls and runs over Prachuap. He finally crashes the van in a ravine causing his death and death of Bulam also. Nori finally understands that Lom, Don and Jaising are all policemen.

Thai police inspector (สารวัตร) Ton (Krung Srivilai) is chasing drug traffickers. Heroin traffickers are shot dead by a mysterious helicopter while trying to flee police in USA. 20M baht are lost. Nit (Naowarat Yooktanun) is her daughter. The husband Mike has a secret arrangement with the US ruffians as he becomes rich suddenly. They all travel to USA. The drug traffic is coming from Thailand to USA through antics. Maem Clara is a small antics shop’s owner. She is working with Pai (สมชาย สามิภักดิ์ - Somchai Samipak), who is the driver, and with Fon (Witoon Karuna). Noon (Lalana Sulawan) is Pai's daughter. Even Osiri, veteran actress and Somchai Samipak's wife, has a small role. Pai's van is followed up by Mike. Mike tries to stop Pai's van. Finally Ton helps to push back the ruffians but they all have to flee. Unfortunately Anong is captured by Mike (เป็นตัวประกัน) while fleeing. While running away from the ruffians, romance starts between Noon and Ton, between Fon and Nit. Ton fails to find heroin in uncle Pai's van. Maem Clara is the real master behind the traffic. As usual, Krung can defeat his opponents thanks to his powerful kicks. Heroin is finally hidden inside the teak wood that uncle Pai ordered from Thailand. Mike is dropped and shot by his friends. Nit and Noon are also captured. Before dying, Mike discloses to Ton where the ruffians are heading to. Police is then chasing their boat. Through final shootings and bombings, ruffians are all killed, Mit and Noon are released but Nit's mother is losing her life. Subdistrict headman Phichit is using bad influence (อิทธิพล), strong power (อำนาจ) and money to control the area and performs robbery (ปล้น). His team commits bus burglary under Khun Don name. Pui is accused of roberry and jailed by police officer (ผู้กอง) Thanu (Phairoj Jaising). Mysteriously the district offer orders to free Pui. Bulai joins Khun Don's team to fight subdistrict headman Phichit. Amorous jousts happens between the main characters. Infiltering Phichit's team, Bulai provides information to catch him and his ruffians. Police and army join. Following heavy gun fights, Phichit and his thugs are neutralized (ทำร้ายชาติ). As often during such Thai action movies, it is revealed that three young ladies were undercover policewomen. Pui is a also a policeman and Khun Don is a soldier. Couples are formed and weddings are announced. It is a typical movie 1970s mixing action, romance and songs (Country style Luk Thung - ลูกทุ่ง - and Molam - หมอลำ - music). Thai movie เดนนรก is a Tom Yam Thai western even featuring Ennio Morricone's famous soundtrack. Ruffians including Pipop Pupinyo and their leader Seua Hin (Dam Datsakorn) are terrorizing a remote village. Ruffians are robbing villagers and even kidnapping young girls. The village header is handicapped and seems resigned that resistance is useless towards the ruffians. He has two children, is one daughter and one son called Khaem (Sayan Chantaraviboon). The daughter is abducted by ruffians and killed. Her brother promises to revenge her (สู้ซี่). Sin (Sorapong Chatree) and his brother Phayap (Krung Srivilai) are in prison. Phayap is a former likay actor. Sin is more a Buddhist student style as he always says moralistic sentences (ผู้ดีขี้ขุก). They succeed to escape. They meet Khaem, who is impressed by their skills to beat thugs. He requests their help to get rid of the ruffians threatening his village as police station is too far to get any help. Despite early reluctance, finally they all end up in the village. They just arrive when Sithong (Pawana Chanajit) has just been raped by ruffians. Sin and Phayap, understanding villagers pleas, decide to stay to help them. Phayap likes a lot Dok Kaew, a Thai Italian lady. A group of ten ruffians is chased away from the village by Sin and Phayap. Seua Hin, upset that ten of his men flee in front of two men, kills all of them and decides to handle the village by himself. While they are celebrating, ruffians attack the village. The village header refuses to fight as twenty years ago the father and Seua Hin were part of the same ruffians gang. He is handicapped since the day he tried to help a young lady harassed by Seua Hin. Despite beating fairly Seua Hin, this one shots him treacherously. It makes Phayap very upset as he believes the village leader is a coward. Wishing to revenge his father's honor, Khaem goes to fight the ruffians alone and loses his arm in the fighting. Sithong is kidnapped and Sin tries to release her alone. Being outnumbered, he is badly injured. Phayap comes to rescue but Sin is shot by Seua Hin and dies. Injured by Phayap, Seua Hin finally faces the village leader in a final face to face duel but this time, no second chance is given to him. After Sin's burial, Phayap stays in the village with his Thai italian lady. It reminds a bit of US movie “ The Magnificent Seven”.

Chen (Krung Srivalai) is visiting a friend in Thung Kla. He meets Oon (Naowarat Yooktanun), daughter of Anan. Chen knocks out Pipop. Sing's car explodes. It looks like somebody wants to get rid of him. Sing ends up in jail after shooting two ruffians including Chanee. Choomporn Theppitak, as head of police, orders to transfer him to prison. Lor Tok, Chat Mongkolchai, Dao (Piyamas Monayakol) prepare a plan to release one of their inmate colleagues. Seua Dao helps a prisoner so Sing takes opportunity to flee also. Anan is upset as he was planning to have Sing killed during the transportation but his plan foils. Chen and Sing are friends but nobody knows it. A drug and money exchange is planned by Anan and shall be managed by Seua Thong. But the plan is foiled also as Sing and Seua Dao intervene. Chen is suspected to have warned them. Chen is tortured by Anan as he betrayed him. Sing and Tap successfully release him. Only one song is featured in this movie. Somebody from Bangkok insinuates that Seua Thong shall replace Anan. It fails. Finally Sing, Tap and Chen storm Seua Tong's place. Ruffians are killed and Seua Thong dies following a speed boat race. The same team now storms Anan's place. About to kill Anan, Sing listens to Mae Chom and Oon and spares Anan's life. Anan is arrested by Pukong Palee.

Plaew uses ruffians from other provinces to avoid being involved. Plaew sends bikers to storm the market. The bikers are pushed back but Sawin dies during the fightings. Plaew is fed up to lose so he decides to act under his real name, i.e. Seua Klaew! Ruffians kidnap the four ladies. It turns badly and Jane is shot. Sayan Chantaraviboon is injured by Jane before being shot. Worried to die, Sayan lets Nit and Kate to search for a doctor for him. The four friends storm the ruffians' den. Don (Krung Srivilai) is flying to San Francisco, USA. He met Nit (Piathip Kumwong), working as air hostess, in the plane. Plao (Sorapong Chatree), half black and half Thai man, is a FBI officer and has to work with Don. Thai drug is sold to USA and dealer Chan Sopon is suspected as big money transfers are done by him from Thailand to USA. Police is doing enquiry on a double murder, i.e. a woman and her lover were killed. The killer is Aran (มือฆ่าระดับโลก) (Nirut Sirijanya). The husband, Chan, is a rich businessman and also a generous donator to local Buddhist temple but he claims to have nothing to do with this murder. His mistress is Nit, air hostess. Sasima Singsiri and Tasawan Saneewong are lady journalists enquiring on Chan's suspect wealth. Fighting in a car dealer and a car chase occur. So Don and Plao disrupt Chan’s business by catching his heroin. Chan is upset and orders his men to get rid of Don and Plao. The two lady journalists are undercover Thai policewomen. While having a break and having good time on a beach, a hitman misses to shoot Plao and one of the journalist ladies is killed. Plao's wife and his daughter are also killed per retaliation. Plao and Don storm Chan's place but he is gone overseas to Thailand already. Back to Thailand, Lak Apichat and เมือง อพอลโล่, part of Chan's team, follows them. Attacked by ruffians, Thai police woman Krissuda (Pawana Chanajit) comes on time to help Plao and Don. Aran and other ruffians fail to kill them once again but Plao is injured. Ruffians are convinced there is a police traitor among them as Thai police arrests Chan’s drug traffickers. Nit is the one helping Thai police. Somchai Samipak is playing the head of police. Aware of ruffians’ activities near a golf, Don and Tatsanee are captured and tortured by ruffians (ขายชาติ). Trying to warn Thai police for help, Nit is identified as the traitor. Aran loves secretly Nit since a long time. As Aran disobeys Chan’s order to kill Nit, Nit is finally killed by Lak. Plao and Krissuda come to help after being informed by Nit just before her death. Ithipon (Sorapong Chatree) is a police inspector (สารวัตร). He doesn't have a car (รถแข่ง) as he refuses any corrupting money from the mafia. Yot (Krung Srivilai) is another policeman, who has a hot temper (รุนแรง) and uses easily guns to stop robbers (ผู้ร้าย). In a single day, he shot four robbers. It makes big headlines in newspapers. Ithipon always follows the law (ความยุติธรรม) and wants to give a good image of the police to Thai citizens. His family is poor. It includes his sister, Am, and his mother. Am is still a student and is addicted (ติต) to marijuana (กัญชา). Ithipon needs to solve many issues linked to the facts that policemen do not always behave well in private life also (club singer pregnant and dropped...). Ithipon sometimes acts like a social assistant. Ithipon’s team deals with heroin dealing case, prostitution cases, rape case, police corruption but also everyday ordinary cases. Ithipon meets Eewa, his former girlfriend. Ithipon is poor so he couldn't marry with Eewa. As Eewa's parents were sick, Eewa had no choice than becoming the mafia leader Kongwan’s mistress. As her parents are both dead, Ithipon proposes to take care of Eewa and hides her. Kongwan's ruffians are looking for Eewa. They storm Ithipon's home, hurt the mother and kidnap him. As Ithipon refuses to speak and to accept dirty money every month, Kongwan drugs him with heroin to make him dependent and to know where is Eewa. Finally Ithipon breaks down and tells them where Eewa is. Being inflexible with law, what did Ithipon gain? His mother is injured, his sister is in hospital and he is also addicted now (ตรงกับกฎหมายไม่ได้อะไร). His family is wrecked and his sister despises him. Eewa is kidnapped by Kongwan again. While being under treatment Ithipon flees from hospital. Being beaten by drug sellers, he is rescued by Pen. She was a prostitute Ithipon helped before to leave this profession. As a way to thank him she takes care about him until he can recover. Redemption is always possible (ยังมีทางแก้). Both his sister and mother have died. Yot continues to do his own justice by cleaning Bangkok from bad guys. Ithipon starts his own revenge by storming and burning Kongwan's heroin warehouse and by shooting ruffians. Kongwan orders to kill Ithipon. He shoots Eewa as she was going to warn Ithipon. Ithipon is injured again. The violence cycle has no end. There is a dirty policeman inside the police station, who always informs Kongwan. Kongwan does the cleaning of informants as a trial against him is ongoing. Yot won't let him go away. While leaving the hospital and going back to his slum house, Ithipon is shot by Kongwan. But this time Kongwan cannot escape his responsibilities and is caught by the police. Krung Srivilai is getting married. Some partygoers people take Krung for a last drink to celebrate. His wife will wait for him. Red Rose gang leader is played by veteran actor Adul Dulyarat. Naowarat is kidnapped by the gang. The leader recalls Krung far souvenirs when he was a soldier. The gang leader’s wife and daughter were killed by Thai soldiers during shootings. Since that day, he wishes to take revenge over Krung. To get Naowarat released, Krung has to shoot White Rose, who is a danger for the gang. As Krung and White Rose were lover in the past, it is a difficult decision. While Sorapong and White Rose are having a diner, Krung shoots her but it is only a trick. Nirut's brother and his mum are killed by Lowu. Nirut's brother was working as police informer. Nirut wishes to revenge also. Nirut and Sorapong storm the cave where the gang is hiding. They release Krung and Naowarat. Khun Ling shots herself the gang leader. The movie “The man from hell” or ใครจะอยู่ค้ำฟ้า (1978) is currently available through Ocean Shores video tape in English only. It is weird to have Sorapong, Krung with an English dubbing but as least Thai music was kept. The movie has sometimes a weird directing. Ruffians are waiting along the road. They rob money from a police van. A young man called Thonglop (Krung Srivilai), driving a truck, is passing by and gets involved despite him. Ruffians want to get rid of him as he is a potential witness. Thonglop takes refuge at his grandmother's (ยาย) home. The grandmother is killed by the ruffians as she refuses to disclose where he is hiding. Thonglop promises to revenge her and is actively looking for the ruffians’ leader (ผู้กำกับ). The leader name (หัวหน้าโจร) is Mek. Thonglop meets an old lady friend, Than. Than is Thanoo’s daughter (ลูกสาว). Thonglop helps Than and this father aggressed by two ruffians. Thanoo is a business man. Than and Thonglop collaborate to catch Mek. They found that Mek is often going to Khorat in Northeast of Thailand. Thanks to the unexpected help of a taxi driver (Sorapong Chatree), Mek is captured and he discloses that the real leader is in fact Amasadon (พี่ใหญ่). Thonglop uses the taxi driver called Krongket to track Amasadon. A friendship is developing between Thonglop and Krongket. InThira is Amasadon’s younger sister. Without knowing it, she is doing some money laundering for Amasadon through a company providing jobs to taxi drivers. Krongket follows Inthira and helps her as two ruffians steal her bag. Thonglop wants to use Inthira as a bait (ตัวประการ) to catch Amsadon. Thonglop keeps Inthira as hostage. Than finds Inthira’s bag inside Thonglop’s car. Ruffians are terrorising the local villagers (ปล้อนบ้าน). Krieng and Krai want to report a killing (แจ้งความ) to the village headman but he is out of town. The village headman has two children, Sarapee and her brother Han (หาญ - Dam Datsakorn). Han uses a lot of bad influence (อิทธิพล) and is always accompanied by ruffians. Han is committing extortion under the name of Seua Hin (เสืออินทร์). Sarapee is Krieng's love. Some villagers refuse to sell their land to Boonthong (บุญทอง), a local rich businessman. Boonthong is using Han to push them. He has a beautiful daughter called Angkap (อังกาบ - Piyamas Monayakol). Angkap is Krai's love (นางฟ้ามาแล้ว). Han doesn't appreciate his sister to go out with Krieng so this one is beaten by ruffians. Han also loves Angkap. Han is collaborating with Boonthong. Angkap is promised by her father to Han. The third son, Kan (กาญจน์), played by Nard Poowanai, is back. While Krieng and Krai are working in the fields, Kaew and the father are killed. The three brothers are looking for revenge. The village headman is not aware that his son is smuggling with Boonthong. Ket (เกตุ – Lak Apichat) is one of Han’s ruffians but he has a nice heart and always warns Angkap if something fishy is under preparation. Han is always looking for arguments with Krieng even during a temple fair. Han uses Ket to shoot Krai in the back while performing Thai folk dance (รำวง) as he is jealous of his relation with Angkap. Ket is playing double game as a fake bullet is used to shoot Krai. Ket warns Angkap that Han plans a night attack to get rid of Krai. Warned by Angkap, the three brothers prepare a surprise for Han and his ruffians. The ruffians fall in a trap and only Han and a few guys escape death. Han takes revenge over Ket by raping and killing his wife. Ket recognizes that Han’s missing short button is the one he found near his wife’s dead body. Following fist fights and car motorbike chase between Ket and Han, Han finally succeeds to flee. Han kills Boonthong to get his money and recruits more mercenaries. The three brothers and Ket are ready to fight back but they need to face 50 ruffians having M16 guns. Police lead by Mot is coming to help. Ruffians take Sarapee as hostage. The movie sold by Lepso VCD company seems incomplete or cut as the release of Pawidee is not shown. Frequent fightings happen between ruffians (นักเลง) and Uten and Sa ong. Similar to The Magnificent Seven movie, Krung and his three friends resist to the ruffians. As the ruffians prepare a plan to kill them, Krung prepares a strike back offensive. At the Thai border, Sonny's parents are killed by ruffians. He promises to take revenge. He gets a training in a martial arts camp. Sonny (Sonny Chiba) is now an adult. His master is assassinated by Sam, a former disciple. Sonny finds him but gets defeated. While being seriously injured, he is cured by a young hill tribe lady called Lipa (Etsuko Shihomi). Krung (Krung Srivilai) arrives to Bangkok by airplane. He has a meeting in Pattaya to deliver some diamonds. The ruffians try to double him through a mysterious man called Mr Chan in Hong Kong. The ruffians leader tries to put a beautiful Chinese girl in Krung’s way but it is not enough. Krung flees away with the drug and money but gets severely injured. Naowarat Yooktanun has also a small role and is taking care of Krung while he is sick. Krung has been separated with his mother (Somjit Sapsamruey) twenty years ago. Meanwhile the ruffians team leader tortures a policeman (Tadashi Yamashita) but the head of the organisation prevents his thugs to kill him. Sonny helps him to flee. Some ruffians are looking for troubles with Sonny. Krung comes back to help Tadashi and releases him. While fleeing through a daring operation including parasailing, Krung gets shot by the head of the organisation. Sonny is now living in a Buddhist temple. He is using electrical training device and needs to eat weird white powder to always calm down. Sonny and the policeman Tadashi get friends. Accelerated electrical shots are used by Sonny as a training in order to improve his muscles reactivity. Lipa (Etsuko Shihomi), young hill tribe lady, is killed while he is away. Sonny and the policeman storm the ruffians island. The old master was in fact the mastermind. The head of the organisation is defeated through a final fight involving Sonny and Tadashi. Without drug to calm down, Sonny finally dies also. This movie is a Hong Kong / Thai / Japan co production and it was released in year 1977. Thai name is สองเสือใจสิงห์. English name is “In the soul of Chiba” or “Soul of Bruce lee”. The scenario is bit confusing to follow up but people looking for Sonny Chiba’s action scenes won’t be disappointed.

Finally, Kanchit wants more money from Phairoj for his business participation. It makes Phairoj upset. During a birthday party, two guys (including Pumi) are bothering Aranya but Krung helps. It is a trick as Krung knows well Pumi. Krung and Aranya sympathise and a romance starts. Phairoj’s ruffians fail to kill Kanchit. As Phairoj's ruffians fail to get rid of Kanchit through a fight, they finally shoot him. Before dying, Kanchit gave a secret notebook to Sirikwan. Nirut, Aranya's brother, doesn't want her to meet Krung again as he only takes profit of women as gigolo. Krung claims to have changed and has stopped working as a gigolo. Phairoj loves Aranya also. Aranya’s father meets Krung but it turns sour. The father is bankrupted so he has to promise his daughter to Phairoj. Phairoj hires Aranya as secretary. Krung has to find 2M USD to pay the father’s debts but no way to find such amount. Aranya is not happy working with Phairoj but she has to pay back her father’s debts. Fighting in a disco involving Krung and his friends happens again. Sirikwan asks Krung to keep a secret notebook. Phairoj wishes to break with Sirikwan in order to be with Aranya. Sirikwan accepts but threatens him to provide a secret notebook to the police if he doesn't give her a huge amount of money. Phairoj shots Sirikwan. Krung, having the notebook, informs the police. The secret notebook includes all details about Phairoj’s illegal business. Thai police is storming Phairoj's den. About to be caught, Phairoj takes Aranya as hostage. Krung risks his life to save her and shows he really cares for her. Krung is injured but Phairoj is shot dead.

Police intervenes. Ruffians are neutralized. Lit succeeds to enter in the plane before it takes off. The pilot is his friend Po (Krung Srivilai). Po is just a transporter as he doesn't know where the money is coming from. He receives orders from Hong Kong. Lit flies to Hong Kong and meets inspector Fe (Lo lieh, Hong Kong actor). Some men follow Lit. Fe and Lit find Po again. Po's multiple trips to Hong Kong have intrigued Hong Kong Police so they dispatched a policewoman named Teresa (Aranya Namwong) acting as a singer to check Po. Lio, the bar owner, doesn't like Teresa to mingle with Po so he sends tough men to give a lesson to Po and Lit but it fails. During the fighting, Nirut Sirijanya is injured. Po and Lit send him home and meet his younger sister Lin (Pawana Chanajit). Lio is their uncle and educates them as their parents are dead. Lio is suspected to be the fake banknotes producer. Lio tries to abuse Lin. Lin is going to Chinese University of HK. Sulaleewan Suwanthat brings her to school every day. For their safety, HK Police keeps Lin and her brother. Her brother, being addicted to drugs by Lio, flees after stabbing a policeman. He informs Lio that HK and Thai police are investigating on him. Ruffians attack Lit and Po again in order to catch Lin but it fails. Po takes the opportunity to meet Sasithorn Phetrung. Lin identifies that Nirut is often going in a Chinese temple. HK Police investigates. Under the temple, there is a secret factory producing banknotes. Nirut’s father, still alive, is producing fake money for Lio. Knowing that his daughter is now safe with HK Police, he wishes to stop doing this bad business. Fighting erupts with Lio. Lio shoots Nirut and his father then burns the whole temple. Back to his club, he wishes to flee overseas with Teresa, but he is shot by the paralyzed lady, being his club business partner and who is in fact a man! The partner shoots Teresa and flees with the money. Lit and Fe chase the man by car up to Pa Sha Wan and then by boat. About to flee by helicopter, Lit shoots him and all the banknotes fall in the sea...

His name is Yai (Dam Datsakorn) and he is also smuggling weapons. Choimai is in fact Chai's sister. She escapes (ขายตัวกับผู้ชาย) and takes refuge in Dong's home, another ruffian, who is also a brothel owner. Trap is put in place by Yai to capture Chai at Turkish massage place (อาบอบนวด). An electronic device is put near his brain to force him acting on any orders from Yai. Yai uses Chai to give a punchy lesson to Hong. Brothels are similar to slavery as women are chained together. The mamasan (มาม่าซัง) pretends to help Choimai but it is another trap also. She is only interested by her ring and necklace. Brought by three ruffians in a remote place, Hong luckily drives by and helps her. She is welcomed in Hong's parents home (คนสตรี). Hong decides to change his behavior and stop frequenting ruffians. Inside Yai's group, Chai takes revenge over those who kidnapped Choimai. Dong traps Hong (เพื่อนทรยศ) as he has betrayed them. Hong tries to crash him with an old French Citroën DS car. It fails but Hong is finally captured by Yai. Choimai surrenders to Yai to spare Hong's life. Vui is also kidnapped. Chai only simulated being a robot following Yai’s orders. Chai succeeds to release Vui. They enter inside Yai’s remote camp and gun fights, explosions occur between Yai’s ruffians and Chai’s friends. Ruffians are defeated. The Lepso VCD image is quite damaged and colorless. It is a recording from TV. Anyway this Thai action movie features part of the finest bunch of 1970s Thai actors. In this movie, Krung Srivilai, best Thai actor in 1974, meets Sorapong Chatree, best Thai actor in 1975. This movie was the most popular movie in 1976. In the title แมงดา means pimp.

Kraison and his sister Mon are besieged in a restaurant by ruffians. Viwe agrees to help them but is asking for money as reward. Ket, having his lunch, helps them by shooting the ruffians. They all flee. Later in the village, Ket helps a young lady called Kaem (น้องสาวคนสวย) (จะไม่มีวาสนาเห็นขาอ่อนของฉัน) harassed by a few ruffians (Somsak Chaisongkram). Ket is looking for uncle Pran. Ket learns from Kaem that uncle Pran was shot a few months ago. Kaem brings Ket to meet Pran's children, i.e. Plaew (Naowarat Yooktanun) and Prai (Suriya Chinaphan). Kaem is Prai's girlfriend. Pracha (Kecha Plianvithee) is the ruffians leader. They all refuse to sell their land to Pracha. Pracha wants to know who is the man who resists to his ruffians. Plaew hires Ket to protect her fields (ไร่). Many beautiful “luk thung” (ลูกทุ่ง) are performed by Krung and Naowarat. Plaew bewares of Ket as he insolent (ทะลึ่ง). Pracha hires Viwe to kill Kraison. The ruffians take revenge over Ket by torturing him but this time Kraison helps to release him. Kaem loves Ket but Ket sees her as a young sister only (ที่ใครที่มัน). Prai is framed by Pracha's mistress and has to kill one of the ruffians to be able to flee away. Viwe asks for additional bonus to Kraison to avoid killing him. It ends up in a fight. Ket, Plaew and Prai threatens Pracha to stop harassing them for a last time but Pracha is preparing his revenge. While a Buddhist ceremony (ผ้าป่า) happens in the village, Plaew is kidnapped. Ket follows Pracha's ruffians in order to release her. Gun fights happen. Pracha and his ruffians are killed. Viwe, always helping people for money, is also shot dead. The movie end is a bit weird as it is discovered that Kraison killed many years ago Ket's brother so he has to revenge his dead brother. Ket is arrested by the police following his bad acts. Plaew promises to wait for him. Thai movie นักเลงสามสลึง (1976) or “the three ruffians” features many famous Thai actors from 1970s decade. Krung Srivilai was then at his zenith. A James Bond soundtrack is used. It lasts 1h50mn. The VCD has one audio track with Thai and one audio track with Lao. This movie is a mix of romance, action and features many songs.

Seua Ping’s team includes veteran actors Pan Borapet, กฤษณะ อำนวยพร and Paen Pleumsachai. Chat pushes the teams against each other. Chat succeeds to exchange Wallin with Kaew simulating a kidnapping. Meanwhile Choi helps to provide information on Do Tawan's business. Chat is identified as the traitor. Chat shall be smashed by a train but Pleung helps him on time. Knowing that Chat is not dead, Do Tawan moves his stock of drugs in a safer place. Pleung identifies the place and decides to attack it. Chat, being finally a policeman, also comes with reinforcement. All ruffians are killed by the Thai A-team. Unable to flee, Do Tawan prefers to explode the warehouse to avoid surrendering. Pleung has to go back to jail but Chat promises that his efforts to catch Do Tawan will be taken into account to reduce the severity. This movie features a huge number of famous Thai actors and actresses.

Movie เพชฌฆาตทอง is a Thai HK co production released in year 197x and featuring Krung Srivilai and Lo lieh as main actors. Chinese name is 唐山弟子 and English name is “Big Boss part 2”. A three minutes trailer is available. The movie was never released on VHS or VCD. A 10 minutes sequence is available on line. It seems there is not so much link with the first opus featuring legendary Kung fu star Bruce Lee except trying to wave on the success of this first opus. Some parts are filmed in Thailand with Krung taking part to fighting and shooting on a river with a M16. A young lady (Actress Wang Ping) is looking for some gold. Krung is part of her team. Main actor (Lo lieh) arrives in Thailand and wishes to take revenge on the man who killed his father. It is the same man that owns the gold that the young lady is looking for. So she decides to use Lo lieh but without mentioning the gold...

Husband Rat is butterflying outside (รักกินขโมย) with mistress singer (นักร้อง) Na while his wife Potchanee is at home with two children, Tik and Tup. He spends a lot of money on his singer and comes back late every night (แม่ใหม่). A friend warns the wife Potchanee where is her husband (ผัวชั่ว). Potchanee surprises them together. Arguments are raised (วิชาผูกชาย) sharply. One of the daughter, hiding in the car, hears everything. The wife shoots the singer, her husband and her daughter by mistake so she kills herself. The movie introduction sets the tone. It is about love, crave and death (ใคร่, ตาย, รัก). The daughter Tup finally didn't die. She is now an adult and living with her younger sister Tik, who is studying at university. Tup is a doctor in order to help other people. She also wants her younger sister to do activities useful for the society (ประโยชน์สำหรับสังคม). Tup has a boyfriend called Krienkrai. Krienkrai’s younger brother, Kong, likes Tik a lot. The two brothers love the two sisters. Krienkrai wishes to marry with Tup but she is always delaying as understanding (ความเข้าใจ) is important for her as she is afraid of being married and facing same issue as her mother. If Krienkrai wants love, Tup will give him. If Krienkrai wants crave, he shall go somewhere else (ไปหาที่อื่น). So Krienkrai is going out with Moeifa (กะหรี่) to have crave with another woman. She wishes to train his younger brother (เด็กน้อย) also! Ruffian Yot (คนจิงจกสังคม) is leading a prostitution ring. One of his prostitutes, Kathin, flees but she is caught back. Luckily the two brothers pass by and help her. She has syphilis. The doctor gives an educational description of all sexual deceases with crude and real pictures. Pat, young lady, has issues with her parents. Her mother is sick as her father doesn't have mood to do his bedtime husband duties so she is depressed. Pat leaves home and is kidnapped by ruffians. Luckily Pat is rescued in time by Kong. Kong helps to bring happiness on her face. if parents are not happy, children will behave badly (ไม่อบอุ่น). Passage to teen age is dangerous (วัยอันตราย). Tik is ready to lose Kong so that Pat can have happiness. During a storm Pat and Krienkrai have a short time sexual relation. Krienkrai still wishes Tup to stop being a doctor after their wedding. Pat is now pregnant. Who is the father? Kong is suspected by Tik. Pat's mother suggests abortion. Krienkrai is drunk everyday but refuses to marry Pat. Pat refuses to abort. Kong knows the truth (เลวกว่าหมา). Kong decides to recognize the baby as his brother is too coward. Kit understands Kong's decision. Pat refuses that Tik or Tup sacrifice themselves and promise not to kill herself. The ruffians lead by Yot notice Pat and Tik in a mall. They kidnap them. Hopefully Kathin, the lady that Krienkrai helped before, is still working there again (สังคมไม่รับ) and promises to help Pat and Tik. Pat is raped and hurt in the tummy by Yot. Tik succeeds to escape thanks to Kathin. She calls Kong, Krienkrai and the police for help. They neutralize the ruffians. Finally Krienkrai accepts to recognize the child. He blames Tup for refusing to give him some lust before so causing all this mess to happen as he needs to go outside (ระบาย)! Tup still loves Krienkrai especially after such sacrifice and continues to dedicate her life to medicine. The movie features great music from 1970s. The movie highlights that lust (กิเลส) and desire (ตัณหา) are present in all people. Impact will depend on how each individual can succeed to control himself. It also features academic educational messages on sexual deceases, birth control (correct use of contraceptive) and basic sexual teaching about unique father conception. “Wai Antarai” is really part of the new kind of movies that appear during 1973-1976 freedom era. It was the first Thai movie about sex education (เพศศึกษา).

Chot (Sorapong Chatree) and his sister Choi (Aranya Namwong) are children of poor farmers. Chot loves Soi, who is the subdistrict headman's daughter (กำนัน). They love each other but Chot cannot have any hope as he is too poor (เด็กเรียนควาย). Chot helps his sister Choi as she was going to be raped by three ruffians (สัตว์นรก!) that are protected by the local subdistrict headman. Saeng, son of the subdistrict headman, requests a young lady called Bua as a payment for her mother's debt. Bua takes refuge in Chot's father home. Meanwhile Chot is arrested as he hit earlier the three ruffians. It is unfair and the family has no money to pay the bail (ประกัน). The father needs to ask a local Chinese moneylender for 10 000 baht to pay the bail. There are always issues between Saeng and Chot. Saeng would like to kill Chot. One night, Saeng's ruffians rob the 10 000 baht reimbursement and kidnap Bua. The subdistrict headman and village headman are not helpful to poor people. The village headman prevents Chot and other men to look after the ruffians as Chot shot one of the robbers. Bua is then found dead. Choi is very upset as Bua's death is due to the village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) inactivity and his refusal to take responsability (ไม่รับผิดชอบ) as he prefers to help rich people only. As the headman hits her sister, Chot, in full anger, shots him and then needs to flee. Chai is the local Chinese moneylender's son. He is no respect for others. Chai (ลูกเศรษฐี) tries to shoot birds in a Buddhist temple despite the abbot's request to stop. Chot, who took refuge in this temple, prevents him to do so as a temple shall remain a peaceful haven. If we accept human sins, what kind of future will Buddhism have? (ถ้าเรายอมให้มนุษย์ทำบาป ศาสนาจะมีอนาคตอะไร). Pliu, future lawyer, promises to marry Choi. Chot succeeds to get back the 10 000 bath from Saeng (ตอบแทนความชั่ว). The father refuses the money believing his son is now a brigand (โจร). Heavy floods happen. All crops are devasted. The father has no more money to invest in new crops. Be good and there is nothing good happening to them (ความดีไม่เอาแล้ว). The father receives 3000 bath to plant new crops but Choi must accept to be the moneylender's domestic helper (เป็นขี้ข้าดอกเบี้ย). As Chot was injured, he cannot help. Only the Buddhist abbot helps him. Choi is drugged by the moneylender and raped. Then she is forced by Chai. She fell in hell (ตกนรก). She supports this situation as respect to her father (กตัญญูสำหรับพ่อ). Tia, the moneylender, likes Choi very much and decides to take her as minor wife. She accepts in order to remove her father's debt but this one doesn't understand his daughter (sent her to be a maid and not a wife - ส่งให้เป็นแม่บ้านไม่ได้ส่งให้เป็นเมีย) and decides to stop any relationship with her (ไม่มีลูกสาวแล้ว, คนอยู่ละโลก, ผู้หญิงขายตัว). Money has destroyed his world and family. The father has a heart attack and dies. Choi is now pregnant. Most likely the father is Chai and not Tia, the father. Tia's wife puts everybody under his own responsibility. Wishing to do good one time in his life, Tia promises to give a house and one million bath for Chai to marry Choi (ฮี่ควาย). Saeng then threathens to kill Tua if he doesn't handover a bus line. Rich and influent people are sinful (สัตว์มนุษย์) behaving worst than animals. Finally Tia asks Choi to convince Chot to give a lesson to Saeng versus a promise to help Chot against authorities. During the fight Saeng accidentally dies. Chot surrenders (มอบตัว) and is finally forgiven by the tribunal thanks to lawyer Pliu. Choi continues to behave badly with no respect, no care for anybody except himself. He finally has a business conflict with Tia and dies, being shot by Soi. This movie has a deranging question regarding karma. People who do good and follow up Buddhist precepts are the poor losers. The moneylender, the subdistrict headman's family do not follow the law and are the one reaping the profit. Is it worth to be always good people when injustice prevails? Actor Sorapong Chatree got a best Thai actor award for this movie.

Thai movie คืนนี้ไม่มีพระจันทร์ was released in year 1975. The movie is lost in Thailand and only a sequence of 38 minutes remains to be seen. A group of young women including Naiyana Shewanan is sleeping together in a big bungalow near the beach. It is the yearly trip organized by their art university (มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร). One of the young ladies recognizes Nat (Krung Srivilai), a male art student of the same university. Back to his home, Soi Dao (Aranya Namwong) is waiting for Nat. Later Nat ends up drinking expensive alcohol with another young lady called Yu (Sasima Singsiri). Nat has no money so is being entertained by ladies. Yu is drunk and Nat brings her home but June (Piathip Kumwong) has time to recognize him. Nat sees women as sexual objects and lies to each of them (เจ้าชู้). He goes from Soi Dao to Yu. Soi Dao is finally pregnant (ลูกเศรษฐี). Soi’s father is played by Sor Asanajinda and Soi’s mother is played by Juree Osiri. They are concerned about their family name and they don't want Soi Dao to marry anybody. Soi Dao wishes to go abroad as Nat doesn’t show interest anymore. Nat is not sure if Naiyana loves him as she is aware of his butterfly activities. Playing a game with another man, Soi Dao arouses Nat to get back his interest through jealousy. The left sequence ends up here. In 1975, this movie makes a lot of noise because of some daring scenes (หนังโป๊ๆ เปลือยๆ).

Thai movies between 1973 and 1976 enjoyed a high freedom and featured themes (lust, pleasure...) that were never seen before in Thai movies.

Thai movie ไฟรักสุมทรวง was released in year 1975 and lasts 1h40mn. It was released under VCD format by company Solar. Movie director is Ruj Ronnapop. Remastered version of whole portfolio was released during decade 2010s by Five Star Production but movie ไฟรักสุมทรวง was not included. Maybe they didn't the 35mm film anymore and only a U-matic tape. Uma (Aranya Namwong) is a modern lady, who is smoking and drinking. At a party, Ek (Sorapong Chatree), successful overseas student, arrives with his parents (Somchai Samipak and Marasri Bangchang). He meets Uma, an elder woman, who is attracted by him. She asks him to send her home. Afraid to succumb to Uma, he flees. The next day, he meets his old friend Kowit. Ek finally declares his love to Uma. Kowit (Krung Srivilai) is trying to seduce Uma for years but it stayed at friendship level only. Uma accepts to go out with Ek. Phi Uma is drunk. Ek is ashamed to get a room from Boo Wibunnan, hotel manager. Uma's younger sister, Pracha / Pat (Pawana Chanajit), has just finished her studies in Chiang Mai. Uma makes Ek to promise not to ever foul with her sister. Kowit wishes to marry Uma. She is older then Ek so it won't be accepted by Thai conservative society. Uma only respects (นับถือ) Kowit. Pat is coming back. Ek and Uma always need to hide. Ek is tired by such relationship that cannot blossom. Ek's parents push him to meet Pat so he accepts to go shopping with her. Uma warns him he will be heartbroken (เธอจะเสียใจ) but he doesn't believe Uma. Pat is surprised as some people call Ek as khun Sangkom. Ek discloses he loved a woman before, but it is now over (สิ้นสุดแล้ว) and he has to use another name due to privacy protection. Uma is aware. Pat learns finally that Ek had a relationship with Uma. Ek claims it was due only to mood (เหล้า) and alcohol (เหล้า). Pat is now teacher in Pattaya. Ek gets a room there as overseas student (นักเรียนนอก) and follows her. He justifies love (ความรัก) vs lust (ความใคร่). Ek wishes to marry Pat. Pat refuses to marry her elder sister's husband (ผัว)! He insists on following her everywhere. She is going to marry another man called Amnat. Kowit visits Ek and punches him as Ek justifies himself by Uma's own desires (ความต้องการของพี่Uma). Kowit and Uma finally get engaged. Prat has quit her school. Ek is ready to die to marry her (ยอมตาย). He storms Uma's home and learns about the coming wedding. He races to reach it on time and brings a mess in the wedding. Pat flees with Ek. Uma and Kowit let them go as it is impossible to stop such strong real love. This modern movie from mid 1970s put the stress on feminine desire. Most of the previous Thai movies focus only on male desire.

Thai movie ครรภ์ผี - 鬼胎 - The Possessed was released in year 1975 and lasts 1h32mn. This movie is only available though VHS in a Chinese or a Thai version. It was certainly longer but VHS movies were often cut to 90 minutes. A Chinese couple in love, Kung Ta (Lo Lieh) and Lei Ting (Runglawan Sripatimakul), are riding a motorbike. They fall from it and the bike cannot be restarted. As rain falls heavily, they take refuge in a cave. This cave features scary statues and human bones. They finally make love in the cave and it wakes up a spirit hidden in a statue. He possesses the man, while he is making love to Lei Ting. Back to Bangkok, Lei Ting is going to hospital, where her father (Chao Klaewklong) is dying. Shek Chiao (Krung Srivilai) as lawyer, is reading the testament. The father disliked Kung Ta as he believed he is lazy. Shek Chiao still loves Lei Ting but she announces him that she is going to marry Kung Ta. Lei Ting names her new husband Mr Pan as managing director. On the wedding night, she cannot stand it and refuses anymore contact with Kung Ta. Luechai Natnat is playing a driver and domestic helper. Lei Ting is finally pregnant. Kung Ta is spoiling the business and is taking his secretary as mistress. Lei Ting discovers her husband is cheating her. Lei Ting is now pregnant for 14 months. Shek Chiao announces to Lei Ting that Kung Ta left for Hong Kong. A baby daughter is born but she has teeth already. This pregnancy was weird indeed. Shek Chiao proposes to be the father but Lei Ting refuses as she has still hope that Kung Ta will come back. Luechai Natnat tries to abuse Ting Lei. He follows a lady (วันทนา บุญบันเทิง) in the garden, who ends up to be a vampire. Lak Apichat as policeman enquiries on the murder. The gouvernante tries to get favour from Ting Lei but luckily Shek Chiao arrives on time. The little girl can transform herself into a beautiful young woman and the governante is also killed. Later on, the vampire tries to get rid of Shek Chiao and policeman Lak Apichat. Shek Chiao’s life is spared as the vampire is afraid of Buddhist amulet. Kung Ta is just back and chases the police when they claim his daughter is a vampire. Kung Ta finally realises his daughter is really a vampire. Police brings Buddhist monks to the cave to exorcise the evil. Finally both Kung Ta and the daughter die in the cave crushed by a big statue.

Sa Ai (Sombat Methanee) buys gemstone from people working in mines. Two groups, lead by Sa Ai and Ko Sai, are fighting each other for gemstone control. They buy then sell those gems. Sa Ai rescues and shelters young lady Supranee (Naiyana Shewanan), whose parents have been killed by Ko Sai's tough men. Another lady called Soi (Aranya Namwong) also loves Sa Ai. Sa Ai meets a young man called Chae (Krung Srivilai) and they decide to work together. But Chae is working for the other group lead by Ko Sai. Sa Ai escapes to two murder attempts but his father is killed. Sa Ai wants to sell gems for 500 000 baht to Chae. Ko Sai wishes to get those gems. Chae seems to play on both sides. Supranee and Sa Ai are injured during a trap prepared by Ko Sai. Supranee and Soi love Sa Ai but Soi sacrifices her-self as Supranee has already lost everything in her life. Violent gun fights erupt between both groups. Ko Sai uses his own sister to put a bomb inside Sa Ai's car but Chae warns him just in time after a swift car race. Chae shows interest into Soi. Ko Sai kinadps Soi and Supranee to attract Chae and Sa Ai in a trap. A heavy gun fight happens but Chae with a police team is joining to help. Bad guys are all killed or captured. Chae, who is in fact a policeman, kills the headman without proper justice. Extrajudicial killings have always been an issue in Thailand. The last notorious killings happen during the 2003 anti-drug effort. This movie features many Kung fu fightings in 1970s comfortable (สบายมาก) Thai style. This old movie has an image very damaged. In the past the camera original and any additional exhibition prints were circulated to cinemas around the country or projected from the backs of trucks on to sheets hung between trees at fairgrounds. There is no original soundtrack but a 1970s James Bond soundtrack is used! Slogan "See you later" (พบกันใหม่) is shown instead of "The end" (สวัสดี) to encourage fans to see their favourite stars in the next movie. More than one hundred movies were produced per year in Thailand in 1970s.

Two CIA agent are slain in Pattaya by a mysterious scarface man. A CIA top management meeting is organised in Washington. A nuclear missile called Alpha has been stolen. Suspects are a communist terrorist group called Fuji and led by a Cambodian General named Keng, the KGB and an influential Thai businessman called Koo. All of them are implicated in this Alpha project. Another American agent called Reddy is flying from Hong Kong to find the missile hidden somewhere in Thailand. Reddy tries to meet Koo’s daughter, Erica. Reddy and Erica had a former romantic relation and still love each other after 4 years of separation. Zee (Krung Srivilai) is like a son for Koo and also his favorite henchman. Zee loves Erica also. He doesn’t trust Reddy and believes he is a undercover CIA agent. Two secret agents of Thailand are also supporting Reddy in his quest. Koo's mistress is played by Pawana Chanajit, the Pearl of Asia. She is in fact working for Fuji group. Koo doesn't want his daughter to see Reddy. An impressive car chasing and shootings takes place during Chiang Mai Songkran festival between Ruddy, Erica and Fuji members. Reddy is captured while entering Koo’s house. Erica helps Reddy to flee as he has been drugged. Reddy finally finds the missile after multiple fighting scenes against Fuji group and against Zee. Zee really loved Erica as he sacrifices his own life to avoid her being shot by Fuji members. This movie is fully packed with actions sequences such as train collision, boat chase, shooting, car chase, helicopter gunned down... The movie includes multiple treacheries and double agents. It is nice to see so many Thai actors in this international Hong Kong / Thai movie. Two international stars Robert Mitchum and Olivia Hussey brought more international exposure to this movie. In 1970s Krung Srivilai always played the good guy but in this international production, he is playing well the bad guy. The English dubbing is quite weird but the movie has really a nice budget. Tiger from River Kwai (ข้ามาจากแม่น้ำแคว) is a Tom Yam Spaghetti western. Alone and getting out of a Buddhist temple in Thailand to get ashes, Krung heads to America to give them to the dead relatives. He also carries gems. Some ruffians, aware of this, are looking for the Thai man to rob him. A Chinese Hong Kong man, expert in small blades, is also around. Being mistaken as Thai, he finally helps Krung. Ruffians finally get defeated by Krung and the Chinese man. But Krung is injured. The ruffians, led by Jack, kill a family to know where the Thai man is. A beautiful lady offers refuge to Krung. Meanwhile the ruffians storm the city to know where the Thai man is hiding but the sheriff is protecting his city. While giving the ashes to the family (Mary and her mum), Krung falls in a trap but succeeds to escape. He gets shot and injured again. He gets help from the Chinese man. The ruffians kidnap Mila to exchange her with the Thai man. Krung accepts but refuses to disclose to the ruffians where the jewels are as they belong to Buddha. As often in 1970s Thai action movies, famous fighting kicks from Krung Srivilai are featured. They escape. The treasure is fact an elephant embossed with jewels. The ruffians kidnap some women and children to force an exchange with the elephant. One of the sheriff auxiliary is a traitor and helps to release imprisoned ruffians while killing the sheriff. They flee to the Mexican border. Mary and her mum are kept as hostages. Finally Krung defeat the ruffians with the help of the Chinese man, gets back the jewel elephant and offers it to Mary before leaving back to Thailand. The movie features a great 1970s soundtrack as usual in spaghetti movies. It is a "East meets West" western with a Thai actor, a Hong Kong actor and an American actor. Original Italian name is "La Tigre Venuta Dal Fiume Kwai".

Thai movie หัวใจ 100 ห้อง was released in year 1974. It is a lost movie in Thailand but a sequence of 1h11mn remains to be seen. Klom (Krung Srivilai) (คุณผู้ชาย) comes back home late and is drunk. Klom asks Bang, domestic helper, to bring Khun Klang (Piyamas Monayakol). Klom is very upset. Tam Niem (Phairoj Jaising) is visiting Oon (Aranya Namwong), modern woman smoking and drinking beer. Such characters were not present in 1960s Thai movies. Such characteristics were only for the bad girls but not for the main actress. As soon as Oon left the room, Tam Niem calls another woman called Pan to propose a meeting at 1PM. Krung, married man, calls also Pan for a meeting at 1PM (ดวงใจคนสวย). A third man then calls her. Pan has many boyfriends (ความรักหรือความอยาก). Pan is a modern lady also smoking. Krung gives her 1000 Baht. The third man leaves when she is sleeping and steals the 1000 Baht. Oon calls Klang and argues with her as she believes Klang wishes to steal Klom from her. Klang is still a university student. Klom likes to go to bars and is always flirting (เจ้าชู้). He is also interested in Klang. Klom and Oon had a baby. Klom complains that Oon quit him and so doesn’t allow her to come back. An older woman called Mayura, boss of a hotel, hires her lover Tam Niem as manager. Tam Niem is more interested in her daughter (Runglawan Sripatimakul) but he still keeps visiting Oon. Oon complains that Tam Niem visits her only for lust (อารมณ์ใคร่). Tam Niem brings Oon out and they meet Klom. Despite they are separated, there is jealousy to see each other with another partner. Tam Niem also likes Klang. He wishes to marry her as she represents the purity but maybe Klang has to marry Klom due to gratitude (บุญคุณ). Klom still pays for her studies despite he is separated from Oon. Tam Niem has finally a love story with Mayura’s daughter, who wishes to marry him. Tam Niem is not in hurry. Oon is now pregnant and Tam Niem is considered to be the father. Klang is very upset with him. Tam Niem promises to marry Oon. Meanwhile Klom, aware that Tam Niem also plans to marry Mayura’s daughter, calls Mayura to warn them that Tam Niem is already married with Oon. Tam Niem admits that he loves only Klang so Oon wishes to suicide. Mayura needs to revenge her daughter (เสียตัว). As Oon is about to use a gun to kill herself, Mayura shots Tam Niem three times. Oon falls from the stairs seeing Tam Niem dead. The remaining sequence ends with Oon recovering on a bed with Klang and other family members around. Using women as handkerchief has caused Tam Niem’s demise.

Her mother (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng) keeps crying. Dao is condemned to prison (ติดคุก) and discovers the harsh life there. Elder prisoner is played by Marasri Bangchang. Prassadee (Krung Srivilai) is the prison supervisor. Oratai has arguments with Dao as she wished Dao to be her husband (เป็นสามี). As they fight, both of them are condemned to isolation quarters. Oratai finally recognizes her mistake under the pressure of Prassadee. Dao faces adversity in prison with its internal harsh rules (ระเบียบ) and lack of freedom. Her lawyer Songkram (Sorapong Chatree) visits her and he succeeds to get her released for a retrial. Dao is reunited with her family again. Outside of prison, she realises who is or is not her real friend. She needs to convince a friend to be her witness (พยาน) for the retrial. Songkram promises to help. The father dies. Songkram confesses that he is helping Dao as he has gratitude towards her father. The father refused a debt reimbursement but asked him to promise to marry Dao. Per gratitude over the father (บุญคุณ), Songkram asks for Dao’s hand. As tomorrow will be the trial decision, Dao asks him to wait. The tribunal condemns Dao to full life imprisonment. She has to do at least 8 years to hope for any pre-release (สั่งกรรมก็รับกรรม). Songkram promises to wait. Songkram continues to visit Dao regularly but is also now Tuk’s boyfriend. Dao learns about his wedding and is of course disappointed. Her surname is นางฟ้าขัง8. When she exits from prison after five years for good behavior, she finds Songkram and her younger sister Tuk have a child. Anyway she is not resentful. It was the first movie of Piyamas Monayakol. A remake was done in year 2002.

A huge quantity of Thai gold is stolen. An American agent recruits some Thai mercenaries to build a tough team of experts. The team is responsible to get the gold back in Thailand. The gold is currently in Communist Vietnam. The team is parachuted there. A young woman is waiting for them to guide them into the jungle. On their way they met two other women that are trying to free their father imprisonned in the jungle by Vietnamese soldiers. It seems that one of the three ladies is a spy. Many difficulties happen before being able to retrieve the gold and not all of them can go back alive to Thailand... The movie "Gold" was the first big success of Chalong Pukdeewichit. The film was a phenomenal success locally and made a profit internationally. It became the first Thai film to be widely sold to international markets. Later on "Gold 2" (Gold Raiders - 1983), "Gold 3" (The Lost Idol - 1990) and "Gold 4" (In Gold We Trust - 1992) were even released. Chalong Pukdeewichit put in place an effective marketing strategy, i.e. a large budget, sex, violence and involvement of a famous internationally known actor to attract buyers. In movie Gold, American actor Greg Morris from the Mission Impossible TV series played alongside with Thai stars Sombat Methanee, Krung Srivilai. Same recipe was applied later to "H-Bomb". The Mission Impossible soundrack is even used a few times during the movie.

Thai movie ชู้ / The Adulterer was released in year 1972. It was released under VCD format by company XxX (Triple X). Movie director is Piak Poster. Movie ชู้ is his third movie. Piak Poster used a new unknown main actress called Wandee Sritrang. A boat is caught in a storm. The only survivor is a young lady (Riem) that is stranded on a remote island. A strong but lonely man (Cheung) rescues her. The man, who didn't have contact with any woman for years, forces her to have a relationship with him. They finally become wife and husband. Their first child is a boy. One day, Cheung gets fish poison into the eyes. Riem has to go to nearest fishing village to look for the doctor. The doctor is away but a young man (Thep) is replacing him. Riem and Thep have been lovers before. Thep is a seductive guy and a womaniser. He is aware that beautiful and expensive white pearls can be found in Cheung's island. He manipulates Riem saying that Cheung has many pearls, whose he doesn't want to share with Riem for the good sake of their child's future. He resumes his relationship with Riem. He cures slowly Cheung and drugs him every night to search for his pearls chest with Riem. Forgetting to eat drugs one night, Cheung starts to be aware of the situation. He knows that his wife Riem and her lover Thep want to get his pearl treasure and get rid of him. So lying to them that he needs to dive to get the pearls to share with them, Riem and Thep feed him that so he can recover fast. Simulating blindness, he is aware of everything. He brings them to a remote island where he reveals his secret and perforate the boats preventing any return. Riem has late sorrows, i.e. she was dumped by Thep before getting on the fishing boat caught in the storm and then raped by Cheung, so unlucky she is. Cheung looses his anger and wishes to let them go. He leaves to bring her son to Riem but Thep wishes to take revenge and tries to kill him. Finally while trying to protect Cheung and his son, Riem is shot by Thep. Cheung leaves the island with a dying Riem and Thep is left alone on the remote island where nobody never stops... This movie is about adultery described in a non conventional way with action and stage setting reduce to the minimum on a remote island. It is far from Bangkokian romantic drama with palatial suburban estate house. Krung Srivilai received a Thai award for his performance. This movie was so successful that it was screened again in 1975. The Culture Ministry registers 25 Thai classic films each year at the National Film Heritage Registry. This movie is part of the 25 films heritage list announced on 04 October 2015, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day.

Thai movie 'Luk Yot' (ลูกยอด) was released in year 1971 and features Thai film superstars Krung Srivilai and Petchara Chaowara. It was Krung Srivilai's first movie. As Rose has disappeared, the mother has already a new plan to marry her son Rin to another niece of Princess Pa, i.e. Duang Kaew (Kingdao Daranee). While visiting a school, Rin is hurt by a ball sent by Luk Maew. They meet for the first time. Rin brings Luk Maew back to his home. Luk Maew shall be the baby-sitter for his disabled niece. In the home, there are also Rin’s mother and her two daughters Metta Roongrat and Preeya Roongrueng. Luk Maew is not welcomed. Luk Maew meets Preuhat Boonlong, being the father of the niece. He cannot meet his daughter as the mother considers him as a poor man. Sifu threatens Metta following a night she was drunk. Meanwhile ruffians think that Luk Maew and Rose are the same person. To be safe, Luk Maew flees from the house and claims to join her fiancé. Rin is disappointed and finally accepts to marry Duang Kaew per his mother's request. Luk Maew takes refuge in Preuhat's home and learns about the wedding through newspapers. About to leave home, Luk Maew is captured by Paen Pleumsachai and Sifu. Seeing the wedding card, Sifu decides to storm the wedding as he realises that his boss Dusit (Sawin Sawangrat) betrayed him. Sifu was supposed to marry Duang Kaew. Sifu shoots Dusit and plans to use Luk Maew as a hostage. Rin and Krai Kanchit storm Sifu's den to release Luk Maew. Metta Roongrat is the one, who shoots Sifu, to take revenge as he abused her when she was drunk. There is a misunderstanding as Luk Maew believes that only Krai helped to release her. Two lawyers ask the mother to pay her debts. Preuhat pays the debts and the mother accepts again Preuhat as son- in-law and apologizes for her misunderstanding. Disappointed, Rin is about to leave Thailand. Luuk Maew fails to meet him at the airport, but luckily thanks to Preuhat, the misunderstanding is solved.
