In the 1970s one of the most popular Thai film duos was Sombat Methanee and Aranya Namwong. She was pitched as Petchara's heiress apparent and she pulled it off to good measure. She was the runner-up of 1964 Miss Thailand. Aranya may have played in more than 400 movies including 200 with Sombat Methanee

Tik loves a young man called Mike but Tik's mother doesn't like him. She wants Tik to marry Boonsot, son of her friend. Tik, being drugged on her mother's orders, is raped by Boonsot to force her to become his wife. The wedding day turns to a tragedy. Tik's father has a fatal heart attack. Boonsot is caught by the police a few days later as he is a drug dealer. So Tik's mother decides to become a nun. Tik goes to see Mike again but Mike already has a new girlfriend. The doctor, who previously treated her father, has also interest in Tik. Finally Boonsot, who escapes from prison, saves Tik from the lawyer Khanit, who tried to rape and kill her. Being arrested again, he declares that he has always loved Tik (รักTikเท่าฟ้า) sincerely.

Thai movie พลอยทะเล was released in year 1987 and lasts 1h55mn. Movie director is famous director Cherd Songsri. Sorapong Chatree with his short haircut, killing smile and strong body really shines and plays in a great movie compared to the many average action flicks he played in 1980s. Happiness is present on a small island between Kratin (กระถิน), young lady (Sinjai Hongthai), and Rung (รุ่ง) a young man (Sorapong Chatree). They love each other but any wedding decision is linked to their parents. Kratin’s parents reject this love. Rung is a diver, collecting seashells and fishies for a living. The movie shows nicely life of island, people collecting coconuts thanks to monkeys, collecting eggs from giant turtles. Beautiful landscapes are shot. Kratin is jealous of Sangpao (สำเภา), another young woman (Chanutporn Wisitsopon) that Rung considers as a sister only (น้องสาว). As Kratin's parents cannot accept such love and wedding, they consider fleeing to the city. While diving, Rung finds a red pure gem (พลอยทะเล, น้ำดี). He plans to sell it to cure his mother (Juree Osiri) but makes the mistake to show it to another villager, father of Kratin. This one and his sons, arguing that Rung behaves badly with his daughter, try to kill him to steal the gem. Rung gives the jewel to Kratin and fights back. In front of Kratin's eyes, he is left for dead. He is only injured and succeeds to reach his mother's home where Sangpao rescues him. Kratin is sent to the city. She meets Sieng, the fishery lady boss (นาย)(Aranya Namwong), who recruits her as domestic helper. Rung recovers slowly and is still upset that the gem is not anymore with him. Sangpao takes care about Rung. A love story is about to start but it doesn’t bloom as Rung and Sangpao still have Kratin in mind. Kratin really believes Rung is dead so she is sad. Sieng’s brother, Samrien (Witoon Karuna), likes Kratin a lot and starts to seduce her. They become lovers. Kratin shows him the gem. Samrien decides to keep it until their wedding in order to avoid it is stolen by somebody else. One day, Sangpao finds Kratin in the city and informs her that Rung is not dead. Samrien refuses to give back the gem, refuses to let Kratin go and promises her that she will become the fishery owner. The movie shows the fishery work from a cultural point of view. It is bad fate (เวรกรรม) that Kratin saw Rung dead but now it is too late as she needs to have gratitude over the boss and her family. Finally Rung discovers the truth about Kratin and Samrien. Sangpao has to intervene to avoid Rung becoming violent. Sangpao and Kratin have arguments as Kratin cannot give the gem back. Rung also asks Kratin as he needs to cure his mother but she tries to manipulate him. Samrien refuses to give it back to Rung as he believes half of it belongs to him. The fisherman, who brought Rung and his mother to the city, asks for his money but Rung cannot pay him as he hasn't got the gem yet. During a fight the mother is stabbed and dies. A big storm is now happening. Samrien is endangered on a boat. Kratin asks Rung to help Samrien as his boat is stuck. Samrien encourages him not to go but Rung accepts as he is kind hearted so he releases the boat but disappears in the sea. Countryside people have often bigger heart than city people. This gem has caused many people to die. In the morning, the sea sends back Rung’s body. He is still alive and Sangpao had been waiting the whole night for him praying. Kratin finally finds Rung stranded on the beach. They promise love to each other. Kratin goes back to Samrien’s home to get the gem from a safe but it is no longer in the box. Rung doesn’t care about it anymore but Kratin refuses to follow him as she doesn’t want to live poorly on the island. It causes Rung’s ire as it shows she is more interested by the gem than Rung. He understands that only Songpao really loves him. Sangpao is the one, who gets the gem. A fight between Samrien and Rung occurs as Samrien still wants the gem. Rung defeats him and decides to go back to his island. Sangpao goes back with him. Samrien breaks up with Kratin. Rung sends the gem back in deep sea.

Khun Num Yao (Aranya Namwong) is a middle age lady (ผู้ดี). She is practising illegal abortion on teens or rich ladies having affair and then unwanted baby. Her son Ran is hot tempered (ใจร้อน) and is butterfly man (หลายใจ). She also pays for Tap Tim studies, who is the daughter of her domestic helper. Tap Tim is not strong in studies but always willing to (เรียนไม่เก่งแต่ตั้งใจ). She wishes to be a nurse. Ran has a bad mindset but is intelligent and always studies well. He has become a doctor. In 1980s decade, abortions were not authorized in Thai hospitals. Patients needed to bring proofs in front of the police that the unwanted baby was due to a rape. Khun Num Yao knows it is illegal (ผิดกฎหมาย) but is is necessary (ความจำเป็น). She doesn't hope for gratitude (บุญคุณ). Adults have fun in modern society without responsabilities (ผู้ใหญ่สนุกอย่างเดียวไม่รับผิดชอบ). People have fire (ไฟ). She even helped her own son's girlfriends to abort. Pa Kong, Tap Tim's mother, is always helping Khun Num Yao during illegal abortions. Tap Tim succeeds to be a nurse. She is invited to Hua Hin by Ran, who is partying with friends. She is helping her mother to arrange food in the seaside resort. Ran has a dirty mindset (เรื่องลามก) in the heart despite high studies. She hates Ran. Tam Tim needs to compensate the good deeds received (ตอบแทนความบุญคุณ) and have to help Khun Num Yao for abortion as her mother is sick. She is unhappy and she has studied nurse job to save people and not to kill them (ทำบาปฆ่าคน). There is a deranging allegory between the mother killing life and the son creating life in the hotel room with girls. Pa Kong relates old story to her daughter. Ran's real mother asked to abort when she was already seven months pregnant. The child had survived and Khun Num Yao has adopted Ran as her own child. Tap Tim is confused (สับสน) but now better understands Ran's behavior (ไม่ได้รับอบอุ่นจาก Khun Num Yao). Ran hops between girls. Tap Tim's friend, Pol, is sick and has been dumped by Ran. Ran lies to himself and to the girls. Pol is pregnant. Thap Tim, fed up, tells him the truth (บัดซบ, ไม่ไช่มนุษย์, ปัญหาสังคม) to Ran regarding his real origin. Ran cannot stand the truth and breaks everything in his room. Ran disappears. Thap Tim decides to leave Khun Num Yao's home and brings her mother to go to countryside. She helps poor villagers and works in a dispensary (สถานีอนามัย) as nurse (นางพยาบาล). One day a little girl is really sick. There is a need for a doctor's help. They go to the next big village. Doctor Ran is there. He helps the girl but refuses to talk to Thap Tim. Ran is addicted to drugs in order to forget his past. Thap Tim helps for his redemption (เป็นคนดีได้). Finally the whole family is reunited. Ran is now having confidence into himself and asks his mother to stop doing this illegal job. She accepts. Ran will spend two years outside thailand to finish studies regarding proper abortion. Thap Tim promises to wait. The movie raises the hot topic regarding abortion legalisation in Thailand.

Thai movie ไกรทอง 2 was released in year 1985. It was released under VCD and DVD format by Tiga Company and lasts 1h33mn. The Betamax version lasts 1h49mn. The main difference is longer sequences with a Chinese master (อาจารย์). Main actors and actresses featured in this movie are Sorapong Chatree, Sombat Methanee, Sor Asanajinda, Lor Tok, Lak Apichat, Ampha Pusit, Aranya Namwong, Supansa Nuengpirom, Der Doksadao, Duangcheewan Komolsen. This time Kraithong faces a man, who has also the power to change himself into a fearful crocodile. Thong (Suphansa Nuengpirom) and Kaew (Ampha Nuengpirom) are Kraithong's wives. Wimala (Aranya Namwong) and Malaiwan (Duangcheewan Komolsen), former Chalawan’s wives, are staying in a cave under the river. Sor Asanajinda is a powerful hermit. Sor asks Wimala (แม่นาง) not to disturb humans anymore. Meanwhile a crocodile takes away a baby and his father. The mother goes to Chinese shrine to ask help from a Chinese master (Lor Tok). Der Doksadao and เหี่ยว are playing medium assistants in the Chinese shrine. A funny and long sequence featuring the master showing his surnatural skills towards Der Doksadao is present in the betamax but cut in the VCD version. A government official offers a reward to kill the crocodile. The crocodile continues his rampage and attacks a floating market, humans and even a buffalo. Kraithong visits a master mentioning that crocodile Chalawan is back. The crocodile is in fact half human (Lak Apichat) half spirit (จระเข้ผีสิงห์). Lak agresses Chalawan’s wives in the cave. The Chinese master, despite his supernatural skills, is killed by the crocodile. Some scenes where Lor Tok is featuring his flying skills are cut from VCD but present on the BetaMax. The crocodile then attacks the house where Thong and Kaew are living. After a rampage, Kaew is kidnapped by the crocodile played by Lak Apichat. Wimala wishes to use Lak to take revenge over Kraithong. Chalawan is back per incantations from Sor. He is upset that his wife Wimala replaces him so fast. So Wimala pushes Lak to kill Chalawan. Upset about Kaew, Kraithong heads towards the cave. He faces Lak, already injured by Chalawan, and succeeds to defeat him. Chalawan then defies him again. Following an epic fight, Chalawan is defeated again and Kraithong brings Kaew back.

Thai movie เห่าดง was released in year 1983 and last 1h55mn. A remastered version was released by Five Star Production (ไฟว์สตาร์โปรดักชั่น) in the decade 2010s and shown on Thai TV cable. As usual on Thai television programs, bad things are blurred such as smoking a cigarette, alcohol bottle or putting a gun on a temple. The movie was also released under VHS format. The movie director is เปี๊ยก มีคุณสุต. A first version of movie “เห่าดง'' was released in 1958 with leading actress Amara Asavananda. The 1983 version featured leading actress Suriwan Suriyong and it was her first movie. The movie song is "จะไปดูหนังไทย บ๊ะ ต้องเห่าดง ดาวดัง สรพงษ์ ผิวคล้ำ นำแสดง สุรีย์วัล สุริยง มาประชันขันแข่ง อรัญญา ก็มา ร่วมกันในเห่าดง". Pleng (เพลิง)(Nard Poowanai) and Kam (Piathip Kumwong) have arguments. Kam complains Pleng is not sincere. Pleng must choose between being a ruffian (นักเลง, การพนัน) versus being an honest military officer (ยุติธรรม). They break up. The military head, Prachom (Kanchit Kwanpracha), promises to help Pleng but this latter refused due to his strong character (กระดูกแข็ง). Pleng has arguments with a debtor, who insults his mother. He stabs him, flees and quits the army. Finally, Pleng becomes a ruffian (เสียคน). Both Prachom and his wife (Marasri Bangchang) are upset by Pleng’s decision. Pleng meets dancer Anchalee (Anchalee Chaisiri) in a restaurant. Pleng has a fight with the restaurant owner Prayak (Uten Boonyong) and gets injured. Anchalee takes care of him. Pleng is accepted in the ruffians’ team by leader Prayak. Prayak and Chinta (จินดา)(Aranya Namwong) have a child called Bayan. Bayan is in fact a child being kidnapped. Prayak and Chinta need to flee the police and go overseas. Pleng promises to take care of Bayan. Many years have passed. Bayan has now grown up and is renamed Prao (พราว)(Suriwan Suriyong). She has learnt fighting skills (การต่อสู้). While doing shopping, a young policeman called Wut (วุฒิ)(Sorapong Chatree) contacts Prao as Prissana but it is a mistake. But in fact, Prao and Prissana are twins (ลูกแฝด)! They were separated 15 years ago following a robbery by Prayak in Prachom’s home. Prissana is Wut’s sister. She is engaged to a policeman (Kowit Wattanakul). Hao Dong is a mysterious judiciary punishing ruffians and warning police in advance (ผู้หวังดี). Behind it is Pleng, who always felt guilty to have quit the army. During a last event, Pleng gets shot and killed while helping Wut. Young lady Prao replaces her father Pleng as judiciary. She avenges Pleng by putting a bomb in ruffian leader's car. Wut pretends to be Niwat, insurance representative, in order to investigate the daughter, Saisree (ไซซี)(Mayura Thanabutr), regarding her father’s death. In a discotheque, Saisree recognises Prao as they studied together in Japan. Prao studies martial arts including Ninja skills. Wut suspects Prao to be Hao Dong but proofs are not enough. Wut likes Prao (ตํารวจมีหัวใจเหมือนกัน!). Chita and Phayak come back from overseas to support Prao. Prao still wants to catch the real leader of the mysterious society (วงการ). Saisree is now the head of a Chinese style secret society. Both Prao and Saisree want to avenge their father’s death. Ruffians are aware that Hao Dong is behind Saisree’s father's death, so they want to avenge. Saisree asks Wut to lie to Prao and to attract her in a trap. He refuses. As Saisree loves Wut, she protects him while the ruffians wish to shoot him. Saisree is shot, but Wut succeeds to escape. Prissana is kidnapped by ruffians in order to attract Prao. Wut, the police and Prao storm the ruffians’ headquarters. Chita and Phayak, wearing Hao Dong uniforms, are also killed in the fighting, so Prao cannot be accused. Prao is reunited with her parents. A double wedding Prissana / Chao and Prao / Wut can happen.

Khongra (Sorapong Chatree) is relative (หลาน) of Am Su Ra Krai (Toon Hiransap). Khongra is coming to Phailom district to visit Am. Am's team, such as Wo (Lak Apichat), needs to carry guns as the area is full of ruffians (นักเลงบ้านนอก) such as Thaem (Porjed Kaenpetch). Mr Putr is accused to have stolen (ปล้นรถไถ) Am's tractor. Local ruffians forbid farmers to cultivate the fields but as Khongra dares to bring a tractor, he has no choice but to shoot them. Later on, he helps a young lady Chairon harassed by three ruffians. Chairon is living alone as her parents died already. Thaem is defeated by Khongra on one to one fight. Friendship starts between Thaem and Khongra. Godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) Bamjong (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to recruit Khongra as he likes his style. Khongra discovers that the tractor was stolen by Mr Putr despite his disclaimer. Romance starts between Khongra and Chairon. All the illegal activities are handled by a local few godfathers including lady Sa (Aranya Namwong), Bamjong, Dam (Dam Datsakorn) and Reut (Rith Luecha). Chairon has been kidnapped and Khongra is ordered to leave the area within 24 hours. Meanwhile Khongra (เสียตัว) is also kidnapped by mysterious Amazons (Sopha played by Wiyada Umarin and Thitima Sangkapitak) but succeeds to escape. Gnoh (Kowit Wattanakul) is a policeman coming to arrest drug traffickers believed to be linked to local ruffians. Am, Khongra storm Putr's home to know where Chairon is. Before dying, Putr just says she is located at Beung Mai. While going to Beung Mai, they meet Sopha again. It is a trick to split Am, Wo and Khongra. In a fierce shooting, Wo is killed. Sa is suspected to have kidnapped Am. Khongra and Thaem are captured and imprisoned with Am. Chairon provides a hidden message but her behavior is noticed by the guard (ทรยศ). Chairon and Sopha are sentenced to death by Sa. Hopefully Khongra, who succeeds to escape, helps them on time. A festival for farmers is happening in Phailom district. Khongra is aware of the ruffians’ plan to intimidate farmers in order to finally possess the whole land in the area. Explosions happen during the festivities. Following various shootings and car chasing, all ruffians are killed or captured by Khongra, Am and police led by Gnoh. This Thai movie จ้าวนรก, directed by Payoong Payakul, is a typical 1980s action movie involving many key leading actors from decades 1970s-1980s.

Kraithong is an old Thai tale based on an aggressive, violent and male-dominated world. Kraithong movie is based on Thai traditional folklore story relating a love story between a crocodile and human beings. A spirit living in the river has the possiblity to change himself into a crocodile. He uses his powers to terrify the population by killing inhabitants and kidnaps young girls for his harem. His name is Chalawan (ชาละวัน). One day Chalawan sees the two daughters of a rich local trader and falls in love with them. The two daughters are called Takao Kaew and Takao Thong. He kidnaps Takao Kaew and brings her to his cave under the river. The father is very angry and recruits a crocodile master (หมอจระเข้) called Kraithong. He promises to give his two daughters if Kraithong can stop Chalawan. Kraithong finds the way to Chalawan's underwater cave. A fight happens between Kraithong and Chalawan. Kraithong movie raises the Thai polygamy theme as Chalawan has already crocodiles wives in his underwater cave but still desires human being wives.

Phumaret is a young man going to a funeral but he is late. His father was a friend of the deceased man. There he meets the three daughters of the deceased man. The eldest daughter Nid provides him a job in the family company, a house to live in and money as salary advance. Phumaret is fond of Noi the second daughter but finally asks Nid for wedding due to her kindness. Disappointed by Noi's refusal, Phumaret also seduces the youngest daughter and marries her secretly one day before his wedding with Nid. The youngest daughter becomes pregnant and a row happens between her, Nid and Phumaret. Nid, being so disappointed and heart broken, stabs her young sister and is confined in a hospital for insane persons. Monrudee Yamaphai as student is her close friend. Tuanton (Tuanton Kammeesri) is married to Aranya Namwong (เมียตำรวจ). He has often nightmares. He is still a low rank policeman making his wife unhappy about his status. Suphansa receives a love letter from one of the soldier. Finally a group of five young soldiers cadets and five young ladies students including Teuan Jai meet each other. They all go to Pattaya. All boys have same goal to serve their country. There are drunkard ruffians at the street entrance leading to Teuan Jai’s home. Arguments happen with the young soldiers cadets (นักเรียนเป็นทหาร). One evening, Teuan Jai is raped and killed (มนุษย์ใจสัตว์). A wallet is found with prints on it. The police officer Tuanton investigates on the issue. He visits by night the murdering place and the corpse storeroom (ห้องเก็บศพ) to look for evidences. Thep Thienchai is arrested but he is not the culprit. The owner’s daughter called Nori (Aranya Namwong) is concerned about Lom’s righteousness. The movie dares a scene with two actresses (including Orasa Isarangkul) kissing each other. Net (Manop Aussawathep) brings money to local mafia leader Prachuap Ruekyamdee. Bulam (Tanyarat Lohanan), selling soup, is upset with these two ladies. So she uses Net and his ruffians to bully the ladies (รังแกผู้หญิง). Lom (Sombat Methanee) being around kicks the ruffians. Net asks Lom for one to one fighting on the next day. Krai, Sukon Koewliam, Lak Apichat are part of Lom's team. Lom defeats Net and wins. Grand mother (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) takes care about the girls. While scuba diving, Nori finds some war weapons on an island. Ruffians, aware that Nori discovered their hidden hideaway, put a bomb in her boat but she escapes to death. Bulam is now bullied by the ruffians but this time, Don Manora (Krung Srivilai) helps her. To join Net's team, Don agrees to knock out Lom but he fails. Don flees with Bulam. Don wishes to meet นาย Prachuap as he wishes to work for him. At nighttime he investigates their warehouses and finds boxes full of M16 weapons. Prachuap is upset as his stock of weapons hidden on the island has disappeared. Simulating being a spirit doctor (หมอดู), Phairoj Jaising is visiting the ruffians site. He meets เสีย Prachuap's girlfriend (Tharika Thidathip). Jaising is undercover policeman. He is recognised and captured. Don succeeds to release him and flees with Bulam. The ruffians succeed to kidnap the ladies again. Fightings happen with the police. Ruffians are overcome. Net tries to flee with the van with the girls and runs over Prachuap. He finally crashes the van in a ravine causing his death and death of Bulam also. Nori finally understands that Lom, Don and Jaising are all policemen.

Peter flies to Thailand through Cathay Pacific and meets a beautiful lady called Meg (Meg Lam Kin-Ming) in the plane. Sombat Methanee enters in Peter's taxi at the Bangkok airport and proposes a 50% 50% partnership. Meg later meets Boo Wibunnan in Bangkok. She is recommended by Yong as a club singer. Laksamee (Sasima Singsiri) is Boo's wife. The mysterious phone number belongs to Aranya Namwong! Aranya knows Miss Jang as they were singers in the same nightclub. Kecha Plianvithee is the head of ruffians (เจ้านาย). He is looking for those important documents. Sombat Methanee is trying to get information from Aranya also. Peter meets Laksamee in the nightclub. Outside the nightclub, he gets attacked by four ruffians sent by Boo but Laksamee helps him to flee. Some daring scenes with Laksamee were censored in Thai version. Boo's wife uses all ways to get information from Peter causing Boo's jealousy. As Peter meets Aranya in the nightclub, Laksamee and Boo spy them through a microphone. Outside Aranya's home, Peter gets attacked by Boo's ruffians again but succeeds to escape thanks to Sombat, who is in fact a Thai policeman. The remaining Thai sequence ends up here. The mafia knows that Peter has the key so they kidnap Aranya's family to force her to steal the key. She succeeds to get the golden key from Peter but she is shot by Boo once he gets the famous list from a bank safe that could be opened only with the golden key. Peter and Sombat follow the ruffians up to a remote island. Heavy shootings happen. Ruffians are captured thanks to Meg. Meg was in fact an undercover policeman.

Han is ordered by his boss to get rid of a traveller arriving at Don Muang airport. The traveller is working for Tawan Siriwat. Tawan (Manop Aussawathep) visits Tawan Siriwat in his supermarket and sees where he stores his gold. Working with Han, Tawan shoots Tawan Siriwat and his men. One of them can flee and injures Tawan. Tawan shoots back at him and a petrol station explodes. Jirasak (จิระศักดิ์ อิศรางกูร) witnesses this event. Pinyo Parnnui is Jirasak’s friend selling flower garlands to car owners. Nitaya meets Tawan at the hospital. Tawan lies about his injury. He contacts a ruffian called See Prom (กฤษณะ อำนวยพร) to get the gold on his behalf. Meanwhile Jirasak and Pino go back to the supermarket hoping to steal some food. They see See Prom and his men transporting gold, so they succeed to steal it and flee with See Prom's car. They request help from Rot (Sayan Chantaraviboon) in order to sell the gold. They hide in a hotel, but a man recognizes See Prom's car and alerts him... The three friends succeed to flee and take refuge in a Buddhist temple near their home. See Prom is aware as he gets the information from Rot's wife. Attacked by ruffians, the three friends get help from the undertaker, called Thong (Sombat Methanee), being a half-crazy man back from the Vietnam war. They ask his help to hide the gold. Ruffians are back for revenge. Thong neutralizes the leader Tawan. Tawan proposes them to join his team and to go to North of Thailand to meet Lao Seu, being a gold reseller. Meanwhile Tawan stores the gold in a safe. Later Nitaya visits Tawan and realises there are many ruffians in his home. The four friends celebrate in a restaurant about their future wealth and Nitaya joins them. Nitaya warns the four friends about Tawan as he has no plan to share anything with them. She is aware about the gold. See Prom and Han try to get rid of Nitaya but fail as her Police colleagues help her on time. Police are now aware that Tawan acts as a ruffian and are collecting proofs against him. The four friends wish to get back the gold as they don't trust Tawan. They ask help from two additional friends, Uten Boonyong and Sorapong Chatree, experts in opening safes. Uten has a romance with Melanie, Tawan’s girlfriend. He convinces her to help and to bring Tawan outside his home while he and his friends open the safe. They successfully open it thanks to Sorapong and go to the North of Thailand to meet Lao Seu. Tawan, being upset, kills Melanie as she betrayed him. The friends (including ต่อลาภ กำพุศิริ) meet Lao Seu (Lor Tok). They try to sell the gold but Tawan and his ruffians intervene. Fighting occurs. Ruffians are finally killed including See Prom and Tawan. Thai police with Nitaya arrive and arrest everybody.

Khaem (Sombat Methanee) and Suriyong (Aranya Namwong), both students, are in love. They shall marry. Finally Suriyong, due to filial duty (บุญคุณ), has to marry an older rich man, who is a banker. Khaem is disappointed and goes overseas. Suriyong never had chance to explain to him (มีเหตุผล). Fed up to be at home, Suriyong looks for a job and is engaged as secretary (เลขา). Her new boss is just back from overseas and is Khaem himself! Working relationship is difficult as Khaem makes it hard for Suriyong due to resentments. Khaem is also giving hard time to his managers (ผู้จัดการ) Somkit (Sawin Sawangrat) and Boon (Sayan Chantaraviboon). Khaem has a new girlfriend (แฟน) called Kaelong (Naowarat Yooktanun). Suriyong still wears the ring given by Khaem. Khaem spies Suriyong as she sees a man called Eua meeting her. For Eua (Somphob Benjatikul), Suriyong is only her stepmother (แม่เลี้ยง). He has no other feelings despite Khaem’s suspicion. Alita, Khaem’s gig from overseas, is back to Thailand and brings him trouble. Khaem is aware that Suriyong has two children but those two children are in fact from the previous wife of the banker, who died earlier. One night, while bringing the kids for holidays, Khaem becomes lover with Suriyong. There is misunderstanding as Suriyong believes it was arranged to trick her. Suriyong becomes pregnant. Khaem is upset to always see Suriyong with Eua so he writes a harsh letter to her. Khaem asks for a wedding with Kaelong as soon as possible. Finally Suriyong plans to flee overseas (หายกลุ้มก็กลับมาเอง). Khaem, realising his mistakes and misunderstandings due to jealousy, rushes to airport in order to find Suriyong before she leaves Thailand…

Srongklot, a young man, on a trip to Hong Kong, meets Hong, a young Thai-Chinese lady, selling souvenirs on the Peak. She steals his camera but gets caught explaning that her grandma is very sick and poor. Having issues with local mafia, he has to flee and is rescued by Hong. His brother convinces him to go back to Thailand but he has to leave behind Hong as she cannot get a visa for Thailand. Back to Thailand, he meets Kaekai a lady already married but separated with her husband. Her husband refuses to divorce and sends tough men to hit Srongklot. Kaekai kills her husband and kills her-self. Srongklot, being blind after the attack, goes back to Hong Kong to cure his eyes and heart with Hong. Half of the movie is filmed in Hong Kong so it is very interesting to see Hong Kong with boat people in Aberdeen and the landscape from the Peak without high skycrapers.

Krung Srivilai is getting married. Some partygoers people take Krung for a last drink to celebrate. His wife will wait for him. The crime is signed by Red Roses gang. Krung promises to take revenge. He helps his wife’s sister (Naowarat Yooktanun) being attacked by the gang also. Nirut Sirijanya and his brother take profit of gang rivalries to take some suitcases full of money and drugs. The brother has issues when protecting a young lady against ruffians but inspector Sorapong Chatree is helping. Lowu is the Chinese leader of Red Roses gang. Both Nirut and Krung are captured by the gang but succeeded to escape. Khun Ling (Aranya Namwong) or White Rose is arriving from Singapore. Only the White Rose knows the identity of Red Roses gang’s real leader so she is welcomed at the airport by Sorapong before the gang can kidnap her. Meanwhile Krung falls in love with Naowarat. Krung is captured again. He is framed in a murder. Krung kills one of his wife’s assassin but is then facing inspector Sorapong as he cannot break the law either. Red Rose gang leader is played by veteran actor Adul Dulyarat. Naowarat is kidnapped by the gang. The leader recalls Krung far souvenirs when he was a soldier. The gang leader’s wife and daughter were killed by Thai soldiers during shootings. Since that day, he wishes to take revenge over Krung. To get Naowarat released, Krung has to shoot White Rose, who is a danger for the gang. As Krung and White Rose were lover in the past, it is a difficult decision. While Sorapong and White Rose are having a diner, Krung shoots her but it is only a trick. Nirut's brother and his mum are killed by Lowu. Nirut's brother was working as police informer. Nirut wishes to revenge also. Nirut and Sorapong storm the cave where the gang is hiding. They release Krung and Naowarat. Khun Ling shots herself the gang leader. The movie “The man from hell” or ใครจะอยู่ค้ำฟ้า (1978) is currently available through Ocean Shores video tape in English only. It is weird to have Sorapong, Krung with an English dubbing but as least Thai music was kept. The movie has sometimes a weird directing. Chat Mongkolchai and his ruffians attack Mek's house but get defeated by KoLit and Mek following a long boat race. Wedding is happening between Mek and Wan. Chun is looking for troubles during the wedding but gets punched by Sing A. Tan is burnt in his car by Phi Pon's team and becomes blind. As a revenge, Phi Pon gets killed by Kanchit. They fail but, before being shot, one of them lies that Deuan is the one who disclosed Lui's location. Another three hitmen led by Somsak are sent but are also killed by Lui. The organisation asks Nai to manage but he refuses as he believes Lui has done nothing wrong. The organisation decides to send Nai to Hong Kong as they lose some trust with him. Ruffian Tio shall be the one to manage Lui. Kanchai Insree (Dam Datsakorn) is hired by Tio (Adul Dulyarat) to kill Lui as Deuan refuses to do the job. A bomb is put in his car. They invest in a Pattaya hotel by buying shares in order to prepare a future for Boi, Aunt Dou and Soi. Boi meets a young lady Not (เดือนเต็ม สาลิตุล) looking for a hotel room with her friend Metta. Nai is back from Hong Kong. Three ruffians’ leaders are left. Metta is Sakdan's son trying to identify where Lui is hiding. Lui is warned by Soi. Lady Not is Prakasit's daughter. Lui takes care of Sakdan. Kamphet (Manop Aussawathep) kills Soi as she refuses to disclose where Lui is hiding. Nai arrives at the hotel. Boi hears Lui and Nai talking together and that Lui killed his father Deuan through a misunderstanding. He wishes to kill uncle Lui as revenge despite Aunt Dou explaining to him. Thanks to Metta, ruffians now know where Lui is hiding. Boi is willing to shoot Lui and Lui accepts it. He uses an empty gun to shoot the man, who killed his father, but cannot shoot the uncle, who raised him. Ruffians storm Lui's place. Both Nai and Lui are injured. They chase Boi away. Boi faces Metta and is knocked out by him. Nai is shot by ruffians. Lui is shot multiple times by ruffians. Ruffians are celebrating their victory. On his last breath, Lui shoots at the explosives he put under his house. Ruffians are wiped out. Lui dies in Boi's arms.

Cheutchai (Sombat Methanee) spends a lot of time to read James Bond novels so behaves similarly and weirdly (บ้าๆ บอๆ). This movie reminds of French movie “L'animal” with Jean-Paul Belmondo. Cheutchai is mistaken as another Cheutchai by some ruffians at Bangkok airport. He is brought to a meeting of a mysterious secret organisation (องค์กร). They are all wearing animal mask to hide their real identity and call themselves by number. Traitors are killed by a black panther. Cheutchai is given a mission by sexy number 9, Sareuthai, to kill a politician. He is recruited as a hitman but doesn't shoot the politician so causing the ruffians' ire. He flees through a two driving sides Mini British car. There is a car chase through Bangkok, then until the top of the Golden Mountain and then through a side car. Cheutchai needs to hide in a brothel to escape the ruffians and then in a gogo bar. He finally flees with dancer Aranya and takes refuge in her home. Cheutchai asks help from Sareuthai. She suggests him to kill the organisation leader and gives him the building map. Sareuthai is later killed by the black panther due to her betrayal to the organisation. Cheutchai decides to enter in the building at nighttime but he is captured. Being joked on his qualification as Thai scout (ลูกเสือ), he punches back. During 1970s the Thai scout organisation was seen as a protector of Thai kingdom against external threats such a red communists. He succeeds to escape thanks to Aranya. Police arrives on time to rescue them. Cheutchai and Aranya neutralize the organisation leaders (ทำร้ายชาติ) at Don Meuang airport. In 1976 Don Meuang airport was still used for international travel. Aranya was in fact an uncovered policeman. This movie is a mix of action and comedy. The VCD includes two soundtracks. The second soundtrack in Isan language adds many oral jokes absent in the original Thai soundtrack. The movie features also a funky 1970s music soundtrack. It is produced by “Methanee film” company and Sombat Methanee is also the film director. It is a two hours movie.

The local mafia leader needs to find a new hitman and asks for Krot. Meanwhile Chit finds Krot again and gives him a lesson as he is drunk. Krot succeeds to flee thanks to a taxi driven by Aranya Namwong. Aranya finds a woman picture in Krung’s jacket pocket. Probably his former wife killed by Sia. Krot shots 3 drugs traffickers. Chit still tries to catch Krot and a fighting happens on a moving truck. Aranya is in fact a policeman. Krot shots Aranya with a sniper rifle despite Aranya saw him. Krot flees and boards a plane to Chiang Mai. His co passenger is similar to Aranya! Her father just died. Two songs are featured in nightclubs. Linda is also killed by Krot. Aranya is surprised that he is so cruel (หน้าตาดีแต่ใจโหดร้าย). Krot is a professional killer (มือปืนรับจ้าง). Police wants to get him alive to know who are the sponsors behind (ผู้ติดต่อ). So Aranya is assigned to this dangerous task. The remaining sequence ends up here. It could be that Aranya plays two roles. Other actors are กันทิมา, แพน, เทิด, ศักดิ์ชัย, ธานินทร์. A group of ruffians (Pinyo Parnnui) indulging in drugs and alcohol is terrorizing a slum. Mateson (Aranya Namwong) is married to Atisak. They have child called Pheung (Lalana Sulawan). Atisak has a mistress so Mateson has no choice but to divorce. The house remains under Atisak's name as she made the mistake to give him money in order for her parents to believe he was a richer bachelor (ผู้อุปถัมภ์). They have to move in a slum to get cheap rent. They get some support from their aunt (Metta Roongrat). Mateson is looking for a job. Karucha (Sombat Methanee) interviews her. Hearing the unfair rumors on Mateson, he decides to recruit her. Karucha has also a daughter. A fight happens between Karucha and Atisak as they meet in a restaurant. Police, led by police inspector Lak Apichat, is looking for evidence that the ruffians are selling drugs in the slum. Karucha wishes to marry Mateson but she refuses. Meanwhile police shoots the ruffians. Their leader, injured, consigns a bag of heroin to Pheung. When Mateson is back, drug is given to police. Ruffians promises to take revenge on the mother and the daughter. Police is looking after their house. One evening as Karucha couldn't send them back home as his daughter has to be sent to hospital, they get caught in a serious storm and the ruffians catch them inside the slum as the taxi refuses to go up to their home. Both get raped. Mateson still refuses to go in Karucha's home. Pheung remains in a shocked state despite support of the doctor (Wiyada Umarin). The ruffians get released later. Mateson decides to take revenge by herself as men never take responsibility. She frames Atisak in a trap by disguising herself as a black prostitute. Atisak's new girlfriend, being jealous, shoots him. She learns how to make up well. She then shots three ruffians by attracting one of them by playing a junky. All those killings start to have an impact on Mateson's spirit. People start to make a link between the ruffians killings one by one and the number of dolls given to the daughter. Killing happen in atrocious ways such as acid and cut by a train on railway. Two are left, i.e. the leader Yong (Somsak Chaisongkram) and Paew (Somphob Benjatikul). Paew discovers that she is Mateson but finally all die. Mateson has become crazy. She succeeds to kill them one by one but her eager wish to take vengeance leads her to madness. The movie was also found in Europe under the name “Lady Killer”. It lasts 1h28mn and was released under VHS format by company Budget Label. The original movie has been cut to fit in standard TV format 4:3. Krung Srivilai enters as a robber in a house to steal money from a safe. He is the son of the victim! He steals his own father as he needs money! Krung is living with two close friends, i.e. Sayan Chantaraviboon, a steward and photographer, and Pumi Patanayut. Krung and his father despise each other. Krung keeps asking money from his father. He is finally disheritated and his father recommends him to find a lady to nurture him. Trying to gain easy money, Krung loses a big amount to Phairoj Jaising during cards games. Phairoj doesn’t give him any credit as he knows Krung has been disheritated. Krung meets Aranya Namwong having problems with her car. Aranya is coming from a rich family. Nirut Sirijanya is her brother. Krung is working as gigolo to earn a living. Sirikwan Nanthasiri meets Krung in a bar. She is Phairoj’s girlfriend. Ruffians argue in a pool bar but Kanchit Kwanpracha stops them. Kanchit then spends good time with Sirikwan. Kanchit joins Phairoj’s team and takes active part to develop the business. Krung is going out with Orasa Isarangkul as he keeps acting as a gigolo. Finally, Kanchit wants more money from Phairoj for his business participation. It makes Phairoj upset. During a birthday party, two guys (including Pumi) are bothering Aranya but Krung helps. It is a trick as Krung knows well Pumi. Krung and Aranya sympathise and a romance starts. Phairoj’s ruffians fail to kill Kanchit. As Phairoj's ruffians fail to get rid of Kanchit through a fight, they finally shoot him. Before dying, Kanchit gave a secret notebook to Sirikwan. Nirut, Aranya's brother, doesn't want her to meet Krung again as he only takes profit of women as gigolo. Krung claims to have changed and has stopped working as a gigolo. Phairoj loves Aranya also. Aranya’s father meets Krung but it turns sour. The father is bankrupted so he has to promise his daughter to Phairoj. Phairoj hires Aranya as secretary. Krung has to find 2M USD to pay the father’s debts but no way to find such amount. Aranya is not happy working with Phairoj but she has to pay back her father’s debts. Fighting in a disco involving Krung and his friends happens again. Sirikwan asks Krung to keep a secret notebook. Phairoj wishes to break with Sirikwan in order to be with Aranya. Sirikwan accepts but threatens him to provide a secret notebook to the police if he doesn't give her a huge amount of money. Phairoj shots Sirikwan. Krung, having the notebook, informs the police. The secret notebook includes all details about Phairoj’s illegal business. Thai police is storming Phairoj's den. About to be caught, Phairoj takes Aranya as hostage. Krung risks his life to save her and shows he really cares for her. Krung is injured but Phairoj is shot dead.

Famous robber Cobra lady / นางงูเห่า, as Tai (Aranya Namwong), flees the police, led by Sompong (Sompong Phonmitr), after another daring robbery. Policemen fail to catch her. Tai and her brother Lak (Lak Apichat) steal jewelry from Preuhat Boonlong and Marasri Isarangkul. They also steal another couple, i.e. มล.โกมล ปราโมช and Marasri Bangchang. Prachuap Ruekyamdee, her father, is waiting for Tai outside. They have to flee the police again. The car is hidden in a truck. Police are surrounding their place as there is a traitor among the team. Adinan Singhiran sacrifices himself to attract police attention so that others can flee. Kan (Sombat Methanee) helps a young lady called Choompu (Khomapat Attaya), whose necklace has been stolen. Tai meets Kan at a waterfall while Tai is bathing. Tai’s family is still hiding from the Thai police. Lak and her mother (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) recommend Tai not to meet Kan again as he could be an undercover policeman. Tai meets Kan again (คนกรุงเทพปากหวาน). A romance starts. Tai’s grandmother (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) is about to die and tells her that Prachuap is not her real father. Choompu likes Kan and lies that Tai already has a husband. Tai is disappointed that her father forced her to go down a wrong path. She flees and meets a monk that recommends her to go back to the right path. Kan is a policeman and receives the duty from his boss (จรูญ สินธุเศรษฐ์) to catch the cobra lady. Tai asks for a meeting one to one with the head of the police. Kan comes also. Tai is aware Kan is there. She has important information to share about Thailand security. After doing bad things, she wants to do good things for the nation. Chased by the police, her family is now involved in weapons traffic instead of jewelry traffic. The lady boss (Runglawan Sripatimakul) appreciates Tai and gives her more responsibilities. A new mission is to kill policeman Kan, who is becoming a threat for them... Ruffian Dom (โดม สิงห์โมฬี) said he can manage by himself. Tai helps Kan against Dom. Kan asks Tai to surrender and he will wait for her, but she refuses. Kan gets finally captured by ruffians. Lak and her father release police inspector Kan and open the gates to let police enter. Meanwhile Tai still pretends to be loyal to her boss but the lady boss sees that Tai betrays them. Shootings occur. The lady boss shoots Lak and his father Prachuap. Tai shoots the lady boss but it is too late as Lak and her father are dead. Kan arrests Tai. Finally, Tai is released as she is the lost daughter of the rich people she robbed before!

Boo Wibunnan is using armored car from bank to transport money. During transportation, the convoy is attacked and money is stolen. An ambulance car is used to be discrete, but police is chasing them. Robbers throw some money to cause a traffic jam and to block the police. The police identifies that 10M THB was stolen but it is fake money. As the fake banknotes are very good quality, Thai police wants to keep it low profile to avoid Thai population to be worried about fake money. Thai police calls back Lit (Sombat Methanee) to investigate. He is currently busy shooting a romance movie directed by Ruj Ronnapop and with actress Orasa Isarangkul. Thep Thienchai, Lit’s friend, puts the fake money in the bank. Thep is kidnapped as Boo and Somchai Samipak believe Thep is part of the gang, who stole their money. Lit is following them as he wishes to know who produces the fake money. Releasing Thep, Lit wishes to join Boo as partner. Another 10M bath transaction shall happen soon. A plane brings the money. Police intervenes. Ruffians are neutralized. Lit succeeds to enter in the plane before it takes off. The pilot is his friend Po (Krung Srivilai). Po is just a transporter as he doesn't know where the money is coming from. He receives orders from Hong Kong. Lit flies to Hong Kong and meets inspector Fe (Lo lieh, Hong Kong actor). Some men follow Lit. Fe and Lit find Po again. Po's multiple trips to Hong Kong have intrigued Hong Kong Police so they dispatched a policewoman named Teresa (Aranya Namwong) acting as a singer to check Po. Lio, the bar owner, doesn't like Teresa to mingle with Po so he sends tough men to give a lesson to Po and Lit but it fails. During the fighting, Nirut Sirijanya is injured. Po and Lit send him home and meet his younger sister Lin (Pawana Chanajit). Lio is their uncle and educates them as their parents are dead. Lio is suspected to be the fake banknotes producer. Lio tries to abuse Lin. Lin is going to Chinese University of HK. Sulaleewan Suwanthat brings her to school every day. For their safety, HK Police keeps Lin and her brother. Her brother, being addicted to drugs by Lio, flees after stabbing a policeman. He informs Lio that HK and Thai police are investigating on him. Ruffians attack Lit and Po again in order to catch Lin but it fails. Po takes the opportunity to meet Sasithorn Phetrung. Lin identifies that Nirut is often going in a Chinese temple. HK Police investigates. Under the temple, there is a secret factory producing banknotes. Nirut’s father, still alive, is producing fake money for Lio. Knowing that his daughter is now safe with HK Police, he wishes to stop doing this bad business. Fighting erupts with Lio. Lio shoots Nirut and his father then burns the whole temple. Back to his club, he wishes to flee overseas with Teresa, but he is shot by the paralyzed lady, being his club business partner and who is in fact a man! The partner shoots Teresa and flees with the money. Lit and Fe chase the man by car up to Pa Sha Wan and then by boat. About to flee by helicopter, Lit shoots him and all the banknotes fall in the sea...

Thai movie เผาขน was released in year 1976. The movie was never released on VCD or DVD in Thailand but a collector saved the film from 16mm format into VHS many years ago. The copy was not so good and was in red color as the film was already old. It lasts 1h44mn and is incomplete. The movie was also released in Italy under the name Lezi Puca Se (Lay Down and Die). It was also released by IFD Films and Arts, a Hong Kong company, under the name Bionic Heroes (1977) and lasts 1h25mn. The VHS rip is still colorful and sharp but the original Thai version has been reduced and cut to fit VHS standard format. Some sequences missing in the Thai remaining version are present in the international release. Enemies are trying to enter Thailand. At the border, Fon (Sombat Methanee) refuses to meet his younger sister Naiyana. He has to investigate who is providing weapons for Thai enemies. The enquiry leads him to a bunny bar, owned by Manop Aussawathep. Both Aranya Namwong and Pong (Phairoj Jaising), sister and brother, have resentments against Manop as he failed to honour the promise to their father to take care of them. They are used by him for low jobs. Pong (Phairoj Jaising) keeps having arguments with Dam, Manop's right hand. Boo Wibunnan is shot by Kanchit Kwanpracha, who ends up in jail. Aranya is having issues with Ah, an older man, who is trying to rape her as she was sold by Manop. Pong shoots him deadly. Pong and Aranya are then chased by the police. Prisoners Kanchit and Yodchai Meksuwan escape from the prison and are chased by the police. Some ruffians led by Dam Datsakorn try to shoot them while they are fleeing. They split to increase the chance for escape. Yodchai meets Pong and Aranya. They bring him temporarily with them to avoid police but then get rid of him on the backside of the road. Manop Aussawathep's girlfriend is played by Moeifa. Both Pong and Aranya fail to kill Manop. Kanchit wishes to revenge also on Manop as he believes he was betrayed. Manop pacifies everybody and Yodchai joins the team also. Dam, Yodchai and Kanchit do a heroin traffic in the train. Naiyana Shewanan spies them. Manop, as head of the traffickers, is upset as his latest traffic was discovered by the police so there must be a spy in his team. Manop decides to use Aranya for a Thai boxing match in order to exchange drugs versus money among a busy crowd. The niece of Manop is Pissamai (Neranchala Thaleungsak). Pissamai and Pong become very close. Chosri Misommon is playing Aranya's Thai boxing trainer. Choomporn Theppitak is playing a drug trafficker. Aranya wins her Muay Thai boxing match. Nayana spies Kanchit and his ruffians charging drugs in a truck. Yodchai convinces the ruffians that he will manage Nayana by himself. As Manop tries to abuse Pissamai, Pong helps her and they flee together chased by Dam. Meanwhile Fon shows to Aranya that Manop uses her as a mule only as drugs is hidden under banknotes. They also flee. Pong is captured while trying to release Nayana. Fon flees with Aranya and Pissamai. While trying to capture drug dealer Choomporn, Fon is finally neutralized by Pipop Pupinyo, Pan Borapet and Kanchit. They are transferred to the ruffians' base by helicopter. Fon is attached to a rope under the helicopter. He falls in a lake. Ruffians are attacking a border station to let enemies enter Thailand. Some ruffians are changing side such as Kanchit trying to protect Yodchai, who was the one always informing the police. The movie highlights police and military helping each other to push back enemies of Thailand. Pong and Pissamai die in each other’s arms while fighting for Thailand. Director Kom Akadej is also having a small role as policeman. The movie features a very big number of famous Thai actors / actresses from decade 1970s.

Thai movie สาวหมาป่า was released in year 1976. The movie is lost in Thailand but it is still available overseas in mandarin language under the name 狼女 - "The Wolf Girl". A VCD is lasting 1h37mn. Recently it was shown on Thai TV CH3 dubbed in Thai language. A black magician (หมอ) is talking to the lord Hang Pao and gets a spade. He wishes to get the unborn baby of the lord's wife in order to a create a Kuman Thong (กุมารทอง)(powerful protective spirit) as the lord had a lot of bad luck recently. The lord wishes to discover who killed his father and hopes the Kuman Thong can help him. The wife, played by Aranya Namwong, pregnant and about to deliver, hears them and then flees. Chosri Misommon helps her to deliver. Two babies girl are born. During the night Aranya flees with one baby and lets the other with Choosri with a golden necklace. While trying to escape from the wolves (หมาป่า), she falls from a cliff and dies. The black magician kills many ladies to get an unborn male baby but it is always a girl. Meanwhile the baby girl is raised by the wolves. Her twin sister called Arunee has been raised by Choosri. She is working in the family restaurant where Anan (Sombat Methanee) comes to court her. Metta Roongrat is the Lord’s new wife but she is still not pregnant so the lord is having mistresses to get more babies. Choomporn Theppitak is the Lord’s assistant. Artisan (ช่าง) Anan has arguments with Choomporn. The Lord remembers his former wife as Arunee has the same face. So later on, he sends an engagement parade to ask for her hand but Arunee refuses. Metta, still wishing to get pregnant, misleads Anan and forces him. Metta disguises herself into Arunee to deceive Anan (หลอกลวง). Arunee seeing them is disappointed and angry. Metta still provides young ladies to the local Lord. Anan goes to see Metta in order that she explains the truth to Arunee but she drugs him. The Lord Hang Pao decides to bury alive Anan but the wolf girl saves him. As a female wolf, she needs a male... Meanwhile the Lord brings one of his pregnant mistresses to the black magician. She is killed in order to create successfully a kuman thong. Discovering that Metta is having an affair with Choomporn, the Lord orders the kuman thong to kill them. The Lord wants to get back his two daughters but the black magician warns him it is dangerous. A final fight happens between the Lord and the black magician as the Kuman Thong discloses that the black magician is the one who killed the Lord’s father. The wolf girl intervenes but is injured. Anan saves her and flees the collapsing cave while lord Hang Pao sacrifices his life while holding the black magician.

Prakan (Sombat Methanee) and Wi Ok Hen Lom (Chaiya Suriyun) are Pa Wieng's sons. Pa Wieng is the head of a team of bandits (โจร). Once Prakan knows Pa Wieng is not his real father, he flees to find his real father, Sing. A couple, Karn and his girlfriend Duang, is fleeing as Pa Wieng's ruffians are following them up. Karn dies but Duang is saved by Prakan (Sombat Methanee). Pa Wieng is Prakan's stepfather (พ่อเลี้ยง). Prakan is now considered as a traitor (ลูกหมา, ทรยศ) as he tried to flee. Wi Ok Hen Lom is always following Prakan remotely and helps him when needed. Prakan and Duang arrive in the adjacent district. Luang (Dam Datsakorn) is the subdistrict headman (กำนัน) and her sister Deuan (Aranya Namwong) is the village headman. They control very strictly the subdistrict. Sing was the former village headman but his authority has been neutralized. Prakan wants to find the former village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) Sing, who is his real father. But Sing refuses to recognize him as his son. Prakan and Duang (เพื่อนรัก) are captured by Deuan (คนเก่ง). Sing's daughter, Kotko, supports them. Prakan helps to protect their oil stock and gets back his freedom. Finally Sing recognises Prakan (ลูกพ่อ). Luang believes Prakan is a undercover policeman (ตำรวจชายแดน). Saming is another mafia leader and is Luang's best friend. Saming and Luang destroy Prakan's house but Deuan doesn't agree (ไม่เห็นด้วย, ไม่ยุติธรรม). It is war declaration with Prakan. Prakan uses rape as weapon to revenge himself against Deuan. Luang asks the district officer (นายอำเภอ) to arrest them but Deuan provides an alibi to Prakan. Luang decides to give Deuan to Saming but Prakan rescues her on time (มารับเมีย). Now Prakan has two wives (มีเมีย2คน), Deuan and Duang! Kotko and Duang are kidnapped. Pa Wieng comes to help but dies in the fight against Luang and Saming. As expected, ruffians are defeated. It is a typical action movie from 1970s decade when local authorities were not respecting the law and were local kingpins. It is also a very bad habit in Thai movies and Thai TV series (ละคร) to use rape as an expression of love. In 2006, a Thai movie with the same name was released but it was a comedy.

Ruffians are chased by police officer Ching Ming (Yodchai Meksuwan) but he failed to catch them. He meets his old friend Kau Fei (Sombat Methanee). Ruffians are hiding in a Surin timber yard. A big fight happens as Ching Ming wishes to jail them. Hopefully Kau Fei helps Ching Ming but there is no way to know where is the big boss behind. Local police is trying to catch Kau Fei but elephants prevent police to follow up Kau Fei. He has been accused of murder but he was framed. The head of ruffians (Kanchit Kwanpracha) framed him as Kau Fei refuses to sell his farm land to him. Ruffians burn the houses on the farm land. Ching Ming and Kau Fei help people stuck in their home. Ching Ming likes a lot a local lady Shao Feng (Naiyana Shewanan). Kau Fei decides to take revenge by entering in the boss home. He is not here so he captures madame Shu (Aranya Namwong). Ruffians try to rescue her by entering the farm through the forest but they are welcomed by guns and elephants. Kau Fei still loves Shu despite she was forced to go with the boss. Ching Ming tries to arrest Kau Fei but to no avail. Kau Fei comes to town to make trouble inside the boss’ favorite nightclub. Shu is now pregnant with Kau Fei. As Shu is about to deliver, Ching Ming helps to bring her to hospital. The boss aware of this wants to use her and the baby as a bait. Taking profit of Surin elephant carnival (เทศกาลของเมืองสุรินทร์), Kau Fei sends a few elephants and villagers to pick up Shu. Kau Fei does a rampage in the boss’ house and even injures him but Mau Tien, another ruffian, finishes him. Mau Tien (Dam Datsakorn) becomes the boss and decides to kidnap Shu and two nurses to attract Kau Fei to the plains. Kau Fei and the villagers rescue Shu and the two nurses. Then a crazy rampage of the elephants on the ruffians’ camp happens. They are pushing huts and cars with real people inside. Big explosions and houses in fire happen. Even Ching Ming intervenes and helps Shao Feng. He finally lets Kau Fei go to Cambodia. The Thai movie "Killer Elephants" - ไผ่กำเพลิง was released in Thailand in 1976. Main actors are Sombat Methanee and Aranya Namwong. The movie director was Kom Akadej, who got the “international name of Som Kit in the credits, which is a version of his middle name, Somkit. All the other actors got Chinese style names, probably to cash in on the Hong Kong market and the rest of the worlds wish for more Kung Fu movies. The Killer Elephants cannot be found anymore in Thailand except at the Thai Film Archive, the original Thai version. Joseph Lai and his IFD Arts and Entertainment prepared this international version, which is the most common version outside Thailand. This DVD was released by Swedish company Attackafant Entertainment directed by Fred Anderson, a well known lover of Thai cinema. This DVD is the first official ไผ่กำเพลิง DVD release ever. The "Killer Elephants" movie rights in Thailand belongs to Coliseum film (บริษัท โคลีเซี่ยมฟีล์ม), company from Kom Akadej. Up to now no VCD / DVD was released in Thailand with correct rights according to Thai law. Only a video tape was released long time ago. Coliseum film company would sell the rights for all Kom Akadej’s movies and not only for 'Killers Elephants' movie. Thai Company XxX (Triple X) was only interested in 'Killer Elephants' movie so up to this day Thai people are still waiting for a Thai version of ไผ่กำเพล to be released again. The movie also includes also famous supporting actors such as Yodchai Meksuwan, Naiyana Shewanan, Mayurachath Muarnprasitivej, Kanchit Kwanpracha, Pipop Pupinyo, Dam Datsakorn, Sayan Chantaraviboon. The finest batch of Thai actors during 1970’s! Only Sorapong Chatree and Krung Srivilai are missing. Pipop Pupinyo, Kanchit Kwanpracha and Dam Datsakorn were the regular bad guys in Thai cinema and so of course even in The Killer Elephants! The same story was also released as Thai TV lakorn in 2004.

Lom is having a boat transportation business on the river. Nai Prakit's ruffians (including Pan Borapet and เมือง อพอลโล่) are threatening Lom's team (Tat Ekathat). Nai Prakit (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to marry Lom's daughter, i.e. Nam Rong (Aranya Namwong) but Lom refuses. Nai Prakit's team shoots Lom's boats and crew. Lom's staff decides to leave as they are afraid to be killed. Nam Rong proposes to talk to Nai Prakit in order to find a solution. Fighting occurs with ruffians as one of them dislikes Lin See Thong trying to seduce Sida. Lin See Thong asks to join Nai Prakit's team. Rampeung (Moeifa) is Prakit's girlfriend. Prakan (ลูกรัก)(Dam Datsakorn) is back per his father's request. Prakit needs his help to destroy Lom's business and gets rid of Chuey. A new policeman (Taksin Jampol) arrives also in the city. He is a strong punch man and trashes ruffians lacking respect to him. Prakan, using small speed boats, disrupts Lom's boat fleet and prevent Lom's goods to be sold on the market. Two ruffians, Mek and Sing, intend to get rid of Lin See Thong as he is getting too close to Nai Prakit. Rampeung seduces Lin See Thong. Mek and Sing ask Nai Prasit to beware Rampeung and Lin See Thong. Ruffians try to storm Lom's house at night time. Shooting happens. Police arrive very fast and ruffians have to retreat. Nai Prakit suspects there is a traitor among them. Even Taksin dares to enter in Nai Prakit’s house (บ้านเจ้าพ่อ). Speed boat fighting occurs as Chuey prepares resistance to the ruffians. Action scene is managed as well as in James Bond movies. Chuey defeats Prakan. Nai Prakit kills Rampeung as she sacrifices her life mentioning the police radio found belongs to her despite it belongs to Lin See Thong. Lin See Thong is kept prisoner in his room as Nai Prakit isn't sure he is innocent or not. Ram Rong is kidnapped by Prakan. Lom and Chuey enter Nai Prakit's home. Meanwhile Thai police is informed, and they arrive by boat. To win time and to allow Thai police to come, Lin See Thong asks for a fight one to one with Chuey to show his sincerity to Nai Prakit. Heavy shootings occur. Lom is shot. Nai Prakit and Prakan are captured. Both Chuey and Lin See Thong are undercover policemen. Policeman Taksin mentions that nobody is big enough to be above the law!

During Vietnam war Tua (Sombat Methanee) and his friend Kamleu help to extract American soldiers from the enemy field. A new mission is given to them. They need to eliminate a Lao mafia leader called Kosi. This is the third tentative (รับจ้าง) to get rid of Kosi. It takes place in 1972. Tua is sent on mission to Vientiane. Tua is having a few James Bond secret gadgets. He is captured by a mafia team led by Madam (Moeifa). He claims he has come to Vientiane to kill Mafiosi (เจ้าพ่อ) Kosi. Madam frees him in order to know where Kosi is hidding. Tua meets Jenny, Kosi's daughter. Kosi neutralizes Tua and believes that he is an American agent (มือปืนรับจ้าง) sent to kill him. Kosi is in business conflict with Madam. During a heavy gun fight between the two groups, Kosi is saved by Chinese soldiers and sent to Muang Sing in Northern Laos. Madam is killed. The mission has now changed. Tua and his friend Kamleu now need to extract Kosi from the Chinese soldiers and hand over him to American soldiers. Jenny is also captured by Chinese soldiers. Tua meets Kupan, an old friend who is now involved in drug trafficking. He understands that Kosi was involved in trug trafficking and weapons smuggling to support Red communists. Kosi has been transfered in an island close to Pattaya. Following a final batle involving a turtle shape submarine, Kosi is killed and his treacherous organisation destroyed. It is a typical action movie from mid 1970s with Sombat Methanee, who is directing this movie and also playing the main actor role. It is inspired from James Bond movies' theme with a main actor having gadget agent secret and behaving like a Don Juan. It still includes some Thainess with Tua asking for help from his Buddhist amulet. It is available in both Lao and Thai languages.

This movie is based on a true story. Koh Tarutao was an island penal colony for prisoners (นักโทษการเมือง) having participated to the failed royalist rebellion in 1933. Through World War II, Tarutao island housed the country's most extreme incarceration center. A lack of supplies during the war left many prisoners to perish from disease or starvation. Two political prisonners arrive on Tarutao island with a bunch of other convicts. Nasty guardians monitored them. Sad and horrible events happened such as male prisoners raped, prisoners eaten by sharks or killed by guardians while trying to escape, prisoners harshly ransacked by guardians, lady raped by chief warden, prison director and doctor killed by chief warden. There is no way to escape from Koh Tarutao (มีแต่ตายกับตาย). The two political prisonners always fight together. They finally try but fail to escape. They are punished to be eaten by crocodiles but are saved by the two young ladies (หญิงสาวชาวเกาะ), who are residents on the island. They get in love and prepare an escape together thanks to the doctor and their father, crazy about money. The escape turns into a bloody tragedy. Only a few succeed to escape.

Chot (Sorapong Chatree) and his sister Choi (Aranya Namwong) are children of poor farmers. Chot loves Soi, who is the subdistrict headman's daughter (กำนัน). They love each other but Chot cannot have any hope as he is too poor (เด็กเรียนควาย). Chot helps his sister Choi as she was going to be raped by three ruffians (สัตว์นรก!) that are protected by the local subdistrict headman. Saeng, son of the subdistrict headman, requests a young lady called Bua as a payment for her mother's debt. Bua takes refuge in Chot's father home. Meanwhile Chot is arrested as he hit earlier the three ruffians. It is unfair and the family has no money to pay the bail (ประกัน). The father needs to ask a local Chinese moneylender for 10 000 baht to pay the bail. There are always issues between Saeng and Chot. Saeng would like to kill Chot. One night, Saeng's ruffians rob the 10 000 baht reimbursement and kidnap Bua. The subdistrict headman and village headman are not helpful to poor people. The village headman prevents Chot and other men to look after the ruffians as Chot shot one of the robbers. Bua is then found dead. Choi is very upset as Bua's death is due to the village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) inactivity and his refusal to take responsability (ไม่รับผิดชอบ) as he prefers to help rich people only. As the headman hits her sister, Chot, in full anger, shots him and then needs to flee. Chai is the local Chinese moneylender's son. He is no respect for others. Chai (ลูกเศรษฐี) tries to shoot birds in a Buddhist temple despite the abbot's request to stop. Chot, who took refuge in this temple, prevents him to do so as a temple shall remain a peaceful haven. If we accept human sins, what kind of future will Buddhism have? (ถ้าเรายอมให้มนุษย์ทำบาป ศาสนาจะมีอนาคตอะไร). Pliu, future lawyer, promises to marry Choi. Chot succeeds to get back the 10 000 bath from Saeng (ตอบแทนความชั่ว). The father refuses the money believing his son is now a brigand (โจร). Heavy floods happen. All crops are devasted. The father has no more money to invest in new crops. Be good and there is nothing good happening to them (ความดีไม่เอาแล้ว). The father receives 3000 bath to plant new crops but Choi must accept to be the moneylender's domestic helper (เป็นขี้ข้าดอกเบี้ย). As Chot was injured, he cannot help. Only the Buddhist abbot helps him. Choi is drugged by the moneylender and raped. Then she is forced by Chai. She fell in hell (ตกนรก). She supports this situation as respect to her father (กตัญญูสำหรับพ่อ). Tia, the moneylender, likes Choi very much and decides to take her as minor wife. She accepts in order to remove her father's debt but this one doesn't understand his daughter (sent her to be a maid and not a wife - ส่งให้เป็นแม่บ้านไม่ได้ส่งให้เป็นเมีย) and decides to stop any relationship with her (ไม่มีลูกสาวแล้ว, คนอยู่ละโลก, ผู้หญิงขายตัว). Money has destroyed his world and family. The father has a heart attack and dies. Choi is now pregnant. Most likely the father is Chai and not Tia, the father. Tia's wife puts everybody under his own responsibility. Wishing to do good one time in his life, Tia promises to give a house and one million bath for Chai to marry Choi (ฮี่ควาย). Saeng then threathens to kill Tua if he doesn't handover a bus line. Rich and influent people are sinful (สัตว์มนุษย์) behaving worst than animals. Finally Tia asks Choi to convince Chot to give a lesson to Saeng versus a promise to help Chot against authorities. During the fight Saeng accidentally dies. Chot surrenders (มอบตัว) and is finally forgiven by the tribunal thanks to lawyer Pliu. Choi continues to behave badly with no respect, no care for anybody except himself. He finally has a business conflict with Tia and dies, being shot by Soi. This movie has a deranging question regarding karma. People who do good and follow up Buddhist precepts are the poor losers. The moneylender, the subdistrict headman's family do not follow the law and are the one reaping the profit. Is it worth to be always good people when injustice prevails? Actor Sorapong Chatree got a best Thai actor award for this movie.

A group of young women including Naiyana Shewanan is sleeping together in a big bungalow near the beach. It is the yearly trip organized by their art university (มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร). One of the young ladies recognizes Nat (Krung Srivilai), a male art student of the same university. Back to his home, Soi Dao (Aranya Namwong) is waiting for Nat. Later Nat ends up drinking expensive alcohol with another young lady called Yu (Sasima Singsiri). Nat has no money so is being entertained by ladies. Yu is drunk and Nat brings her home but June (Piathip Kumwong) has time to recognize him. Nat sees women as sexual objects and lies to each of them (เจ้าชู้). He goes from Soi Dao to Yu. Soi Dao is finally pregnant (ลูกเศรษฐี). Soi’s father is played by Sor Asanajinda and Soi’s mother is played by Juree Osiri. They are concerned about their family name and they don't want Soi Dao to marry anybody. Soi Dao wishes to go abroad as Nat doesn’t show interest anymore. Nat is not sure if Naiyana loves him as she is aware of his butterfly activities. Playing a game with another man, Soi Dao arouses Nat to get back his interest through jealousy. The left sequence ends up here. In 1975, this movie makes a lot of noise because of some daring scenes (หนังโป๊ๆ เปลือยๆ).

Thai movies between 1973 and 1976 enjoyed a high freedom and featured themes (lust, pleasure...) that were never seen before in Thai movies.

Remastered version of whole portfolio was released during decade 2010s by Five Star Production but movie ไฟรักสุมทรวง was not included. Maybe they didn't the 35mm film anymore and only a U-matic tape. Uma (Aranya Namwong) is a modern lady, who is smoking and drinking. At a party, Ek (Sorapong Chatree), successful overseas student, arrives with his parents (Somchai Samipak and Marasri Bangchang). He meets Uma, an elder woman, who is attracted by him. She asks him to send her home. Afraid to succumb to Uma, he flees. The next day, he meets his old friend Kowit. Ek finally declares his love to Uma. Kowit (Krung Srivilai) is trying to seduce Uma for years but it stayed at friendship level only. Uma accepts to go out with Ek. Phi Uma is drunk. Ek is ashamed to get a room from Boo Wibunnan, hotel manager. Uma's younger sister, Pracha / Pat (Pawana Chanajit), has just finished her studies in Chiang Mai. Uma makes Ek to promise not to ever foul with her sister. Kowit wishes to marry Uma. She is older then Ek so it won't be accepted by Thai conservative society. Uma only respects (นับถือ) Kowit. Pat is coming back. Ek and Uma always need to hide. Ek is tired by such relationship that cannot blossom. Ek's parents push him to meet Pat so he accepts to go shopping with her. Uma warns him he will be heartbroken (เธอจะเสียใจ) but he doesn't believe Uma. Pat is surprised as some people call Ek as khun Sangkom. Ek discloses he loved a woman before, but it is now over (สิ้นสุดแล้ว) and he has to use another name due to privacy protection. Uma is aware. Pat learns finally that Ek had a relationship with Uma. Ek claims it was due only to mood (เหล้า) and alcohol (เหล้า). Pat is now teacher in Pattaya. Ek gets a room there as overseas student (นักเรียนนอก) and follows her. He justifies love (ความรัก) vs lust (ความใคร่). Ek wishes to marry Pat. Pat refuses to marry her elder sister's husband (ผัว)! He insists on following her everywhere. She is going to marry another man called Amnat. Kowit visits Ek and punches him as Ek justifies himself by Uma's own desires (ความต้องการของพี่Uma). Kowit and Uma finally get engaged. Prat has quit her school. Ek is ready to die to marry her (ยอมตาย). He storms Uma's home and learns about the coming wedding. He races to reach it on time and brings a mess in the wedding. Pat flees with Ek. Uma and Kowit let them go as it is impossible to stop such strong real love. This modern movie from mid 1970s put the stress on feminine desire. Most of the previous Thai movies focus only on male desire.

Thai movie ตะวันลับฟ้า was released in year 1975. It was never released under VCD format. It was released on Thai TV cable channels (Thai BPS, Chaloem Krung TV) and CH7. The movie was remastered in the decade 2010s and shown on Thai BPS. The remastered version lasts 1h43mn. It was also released on U-matic tape and only lasted 1h20mn. The full version probably lasts more than 2 hours as the remastered version is censored. Additional sequences can be seen in the U-matic tape version and other TV versions. Especially the scenes where Chompoo is in love with Tawan (จุดขายตะวันลับฟ้า). Those scenes are highlighted on the movie poster but are cut from the remastered version. In the USA, Nirut forgets Tawan with a young lady called Butree and still lies to Tawan. Saeng Som leaves for the USA as her wedding with Manot is going nowhere. Manot keeps drinking alcohol and tries to abuse Tawan. Finally, Tawan learns through Saeng Som that her fiancee Nirut has married another woman in the USA as she is pregnant. Tawan is so sad and disappointed. A singer (นักร้อง) gives back Manot as he is useless and penniless. Manot tries to change (กลับตัว) but fails. Saeng Som, his former wife, is going to marry again with a doctor. Manot is worried not to see his kids again and knows he has become useless towards his family. Tawan wishes to send Manot to hospital in order to cure his addiction. Manot wishes to get suicide to stop being a hindrance and dies being hit by a car. As Tawan rejects Choompoo’s lesbian love, Choompoo tries to kill Tawan as she is not willing to share Tawan with anybody. Chompoo is getting crazy. Tawan and Choompoo shall not meet each other again for Choompoo's good sake. Tawan refuses to come back to Buri's house. Tawan decides to drink medicine to kill the baby but finally changes her mind as the baby is not responsible for the current situation. Choompoo wishes to kill Buri as she knows Tawan is unhappy and knows that the child is unwanted. Buri keeps drinking and falls sick. Chompoo storms Buri’s home to kill him. Decided to get her wedding a last chance, Tawan goes back home to see Chompoo about to kill Buri. Nirut, alerted by Tawan, comes to help and is going to shoot Chompoo. Tawan begs Chompoo not to kill the father of her child. Chompoo finally kills herself. Tawan decides to go back with Buri.

Thai movie นักเลงเทวดา was released in year 1975. The VCD lasts 1h32mn. Metta Roongrat as market merchant (แม่ค้า) is harassed by ruffians. A car is driven by a mysterious hitman, who kills most of the ruffians of Kamnan Wattana. Wattana (Tat Ekathat) is upset. Kamnan Wattana's daughter, called Wantanee, is played by Naiyana Shewanan. Orasa Isarangkul is also a market merchant (แม่ค้า). Nobody saw his face but he was wearing a red clothing. Thewada (Sombat Methanee) is wearing a red shirt so he is identified as the hitman. Thewada wishes to revenge his friend Somsak killed by ruffians (เทวดามาคิดบัญชี). Thewada enquiries on various ladies to uncover the mysterious hitman. Somsak's wife (ผู้หญิงใจร้าย)(Sasima Singsiri) is involved in the murder with the help of Sawin Sawangrat. Thewada helps Wantanee (ลูกสาวกำนัน). Thewada is not the mysterious killer in red shirt but is willing to find who is behind. Similar to a Thai James Bond with gadgets and kissing all girls (หลงเสน่ห์). Kamnan Wattana agrees to take him as new staff before being son in law (ลูกเขย)! Thewada gets support from Dam (Kom Akadej). A car ‘chase happens between Thewada and Kan (Kamthorn Suwanpiyasiri). A sister (Aranya ‘Namwong) and her brother (Choomporn Theppitak) are looking for the man, who killed their father นาย Vitun. They believe Thewada is the killer but he succeeds to escape their house just to be captured by Kan (องค์การ). Pipop Pupinyo is part of Kan's team. A third group is with Sawin and Somsak’s wife. Kan storms Kamnan Wattana's house and kidnaps his daughter. Metta and Osara are also kidnapped. Thewada and Dam then storm Kan's house to release the ladies. Krai Kanchit is part of Kan's team. Fighting and shooting happen until all ruffians are neutralized or killed. The movie ends up with Thewada leaving with both ladies Aranya and Naiyana.

Sa Ai (Sombat Methanee) buys gemstone from people working in mines. Two groups, lead by Sa Ai and Ko Sai, are fighting each other for gemstone control. They buy then sell those gems. Sa Ai rescues and shelters young lady Supranee (Naiyana Shewanan), whose parents have been killed by Ko Sai's tough men. Another lady called Soi (Aranya Namwong) also loves Sa Ai. Sa Ai meets a young man called Chae (Krung Srivilai) and they decide to work together. But Chae is working for the other group lead by Ko Sai. Sa Ai escapes to two murder attempts but his father is killed. Sa Ai wants to sell gems for 500 000 baht to Chae. Ko Sai wishes to get those gems. Chae seems to play on both sides. Supranee and Sa Ai are injured during a trap prepared by Ko Sai. Supranee and Soi love Sa Ai but Soi sacrifices her-self as Supranee has already lost everything in her life. Violent gun fights erupt between both groups. Ko Sai uses his own sister to put a bomb inside Sa Ai's car but Chae warns him just in time after a swift car race. Chae shows interest into Soi. Ko Sai kinadps Soi and Supranee to attract Chae and Sa Ai in a trap. A heavy gun fight happens but Chae with a police team is joining to help. Bad guys are all killed or captured. Chae, who is in fact a policeman, kills the headman without proper justice. Extrajudicial killings have always been an issue in Thailand. The last notorious killings happen during the 2003 anti-drug effort. This movie features many Kung fu fightings in 1970s comfortable (สบายมาก) Thai style. This old movie has an image very damaged. In the past the camera original and any additional exhibition prints were circulated to cinemas around the country or projected from the backs of trucks on to sheets hung between trees at fairgrounds. There is no original soundtrack but a 1970s James Bond soundtrack is used! Slogan "See you later" (พบกันใหม่) is shown instead of "The end" (สวัสดี) to encourage fans to see their favourite stars in the next movie. More than one hundred movies were produced per year in Thailand in 1970s.

In a remote village, two teachers are killed as they refuse to mingle with the local leader Krot. Teachers want to protect children (อนาคตของชาติ) and raise education level but ruffians see them as opponents. Chai (Nard Poowanai) is nominated as new school headmaster (ครูใหญ่คนใหม่) for village Krok. The school includes multiple teachers such as teacher Tawon (Sayan Chantaraviboon), teacher Duang (Nirut Sirijanya), teacher Yim (วันทนา บุญบันเทิง), old teacher Piek. Ruffians are always looking for trouble (ขอเรื่อง). Chan Raem (Donnapha Sophee), owner of a local restaurant, likes Chai. Old teacher Piek is often drunk (ขี้เมา) as he is unable to oppose to the ruffians. The ruling here is done through guns (กฎหมายที่นี่คือปืน). Chai meets Duang Kaew (Aranya Namwong), daughter of the ruffians’ leader. Duang Kaew doesn't want to help anybody else despite Chai asking her to bring usefulness to society and nation. The subdistrict headman Somchai (Somchai Samipak) organises a motorcycle race. The teachers (ผู้รู้หนังสือ) win so they cause Krot and his men to lose face. The father Krot refuses to help to build a new school. Chai wishes to teach children as the villagers’ knowledge needs to increase. No future without knowledge. Teachers are keys in the development of children (ครูคือแม่ที่สอง) in remote villages as parents are busy in rice fields. Krot just wants to keep villagers as idiots because it is easier to recruit men. A party is organised by the subdistrict headman to celebrate the race. Chai continues to try to convince Kaew to help the school. Being drunk, ruffians shoot at teachers and Duang is injured. Young lady Raem goes with Duang as Chai refuses her advances. Ruffians kidnap teacher Yim and rape her. Disgusted, Duang Kaew humiliates the rapists, blames her father (สังสอนพ่อ) and joins villagers' side (ลูกอกตัญญู) to fight injustice. Krot’s son uses violence to build popularity (สร้างบารมี) for his father. Old teacher Piek goes for duel with ruffians but he is shot by them. Angry by this death, rebellion happens led by teacher Chai. The father and his men surround the village. Duang Kaew is on the villagers’ side. Pushed by his daughter, the father wishes to change and condemn the rapists but his son Kampaeng is not willing. Shooting happens as Kampeng wants to kill teacher Chai. Following confusion and houses burning, Kampaeng is also shot and dies. The father asks to stop the killings and promises to change. He asks teacher Chai to stay and commits 300 000 baht to build a new school. The teacher offers him a book about karma.

Thai movie หัวใจ 100 ห้อง was released in year 1974. It is a lost movie in Thailand but a sequence of 1h11mn remains to be seen. Klom (Krung Srivilai) (คุณผู้ชาย) comes back home late and is drunk. Klom asks Bang, domestic helper, to bring Khun Klang (Piyamas Monayakol). Klom is very upset. Tam Niem (Phairoj Jaising) is visiting Oon (Aranya Namwong), modern woman smoking and drinking beer. Such characters were not present in 1960s Thai movies. Such characteristics were only for the bad girls but not for the main actress. As soon as Oon left the room, Tam Niem calls another woman called Pan to propose a meeting at 1PM. Krung, married man, calls also Pan for a meeting at 1PM (ดวงใจคนสวย). A third man then calls her. Pan has many boyfriends (ความรักหรือความอยาก). Pan is a modern lady also smoking. Krung gives her 1000 Baht. The third man leaves when she is sleeping and steals the 1000 Baht. Oon calls Klang and argues with her as she believes Klang wishes to steal Klom from her. Klang is still a university student. Klom likes to go to bars and is always flirting (เจ้าชู้). He is also interested in Klang. Klom and Oon had a baby. Klom complains that Oon quit him and so doesn’t allow her to come back. An older woman called Mayura, boss of a hotel, hires her lover Tam Niem as manager. Tam Niem is more interested in her daughter (Runglawan Sripatimakul) but he still keeps visiting Oon. Oon complains that Tam Niem visits her only for lust (อารมณ์ใคร่). Tam Niem brings Oon out and they meet Klom. Despite they are separated, there is jealousy to see each other with another partner. Tam Niem also likes Klang. He wishes to marry her as she represents the purity but maybe Klang has to marry Klom due to gratitude (บุญคุณ). Klom still pays for her studies despite he is separated from Oon. Tam Niem has finally a love story with Mayura’s daughter, who wishes to marry him. Tam Niem is not in hurry. Oon is now pregnant and Tam Niem is considered to be the father. Klang is very upset with him. Tam Niem promises to marry Oon. Meanwhile Klom, aware that Tam Niem also plans to marry Mayura’s daughter, calls Mayura to warn them that Tam Niem is already married with Oon. Tam Niem admits that he loves only Klang so Oon wishes to suicide. Mayura needs to revenge her daughter (เสียตัว). As Oon is about to use a gun to kill herself, Mayura shots Tam Niem three times. Oon falls from the stairs seeing Tam Niem dead. The remaining sequence ends with Oon recovering on a bed with Klang and other family members around. Using women as handkerchief has caused Tam Niem’s demise.

Nam's sister, Phi Luuk Nok, has suddenly and mysteriously died. Phi Luuk Nok had a few months old child. It seems she died of a heart attack (หัวใจไหว). So Nam (Aranya Namwong) decides to go to her sister's house to investigate. The house is located in Nong Bua Daeng (หนองบัวแดง). Her brother in law, Phuatai (Sombat Methanee), is a weird man having half crazy and handicapped domestic helpers (คนบ้าคนใบ้). Nam asks to see her sister's body (โลงศพ). The coffin contains a man body. Rumours said that Phi Luuk Nok was Phuatai's wife in legal name only but she had the baby with somebody else. Nam believes that Phuatai killed her sister. One night Nam becomes Phuatai's wife (ภาระผูกพัน with Phuatai) but there is no love. She starts a small revolution in the house by buying expensive furnitures and a new diamond ring (ซื้อที่จำเป็น). Many secrets are around Phuatai. He often visits a fifty years old lady called Than. Thanks to Saree's advice, Nam discovers a mysterious bungalow located in Baan Rim Dong. A defigurated man (คนหน้าผี) lives inside. His name is Toon and he is Phuatai's elder brother. Nam sister's corpse is inside a cupboard in Toon's bungalow. Toon was Phi Luuk Nok's real husband and he hid the body to avoid cremation. Toon was always crazy about women (บ้าผู้หญิง) and was disfigured by a fire when hiding from a jealous husband. Nam is now pregnant. Phuatai believes that his brother Toon is responsible also of the pregnancy. Heart-broken Nam leaves for Bangkok. Nam's father, Dam, wishes to clean his honor with a gun. When arriving in Nong Bua Daeng, Phuatai has died already. It is only a parody to protect himself but a tragedy then happens. The father kills Saree. He wants everything to be for his daughter Nam. It started 20 years ago. Dam was married with Than. They have a daughter, i.e. Nam. But Dam had a mistress so Than left him. A man called Boriphat took Dam's mistress. Dam then killed Boriphat and then Phi Luuk Nok, who is in fact the daughter of Boriphat and his mistress. Finally Dam is killed by Toon. The heavy secret is now revealed. Nam and Phuatai can now have happiness (เป็นสุขแล้ว).

Supasatee (Aranya Namwong) also called Sajee has arguments with the son, who treats her as a minor wife (เมียเก็บ). The father is Chit (Sombat Methanee). His younger sister (Metta Roongrat) also doesn’t accept that Sombat has a new younger mistress. Sajee and Chit deny any wrongdoing. Chit sends Sajee back to the slum through his mercedes so people are gossiping including her own grandmother (Chosri Misommon). Her own grandmother tells her not to forget her own roots but Sajee wishes to climb the social ladder without taking in account other people’s critics. Chit is celebrating the birthday of Suthisa, his wife (Suthisa Putnuch). Metta brings doubt in Suthisa’s heart but is in fact disappointed that Chit would choose Sajee over her! It causes Lady Suthisa to die as she has a fragile heart already. Even Kaew (Mayurachath Muarnprasitivej), Sajee’s best friend and Chit's daughter, believes Sajee wants to take the place of Suthisa. Finally romance happens between Sajee and Chit. The grandmother believes Sajee will be back as same as lotus, she comes from dirty slum soil so she cannot adapt to rich soil. Kaew is pregnant. Sajee has to find an abortion doctor for her. One day while driving with Chit, she sees a woman hit by a car. It is her own mother. Sad event showing she starts forgetting her roots. Chit is also having heart issues. His new wife Sajee gets rejected as Lady nomination (คุณหญิง) as she is not coming from a proper background. Chit ends up at the hospital where Sajee asks to modify the heritage terms. Worried about heritage, Chit's children cause their father's death by asking too many questions instead of letting him rest. On the opening of the testament, Chit's children realize Sajee is not asking for a single baht and is just going back to her slum. Rich people looked wrongly at Sajee. She was the one having a good and true heart.

Akanee (Sombat Methanee) has a dream where he cuts the head of a woman. The following day, his friend Chet (Ruj Ronnapop) introduced him to a lady called Chorasinee (Aranya Namwong). She is expert in ancient artifacts (นักนิยมของเก่า). She notices a special jewel owned by Akanee. Akanee is very confused as she is the same lady he just beheaded in his dream. Chorasinee seems to know a lot of things about him. She is able to recall many strange past events. Thip (Mayurachath Muarnprasitivej) loves secretly Akanee. Chorasinee often comes and disappears very fast. She warns Akanee about things not to be done wrongly a second time as nobody has two chances in life! During a charity performance, Chorasinee promises to play an evil lady (นางปีศาจ). Somchai Samipak is interested by her. It seems that Akanee met her in a previous life when he was a prince. She asks her life back to Akanee (ถ่วงชีวิต). Robbers try to steal Akanee's jewel but get punished by an invisible spirit. Chorasinee invites Akanee, Thip and Chet to her home in Ayutthaya. Thep Thienchai welcomes them. During Ayutthaya period, Akanee protected the treasure of the Siamese King. Akanee, to ensure the treasure is not stolen, killed all the guards so that their spirits (วิญญาณ) protect the treasure forever. A lady called Ubon was loved by Akanee’s love. Akanee cut Ubon's head also. Somchai's wife is concerned that Chorasinee goes in his car. Chorasinee’s duty is to keep the Siamese King’s treasure. She is Ubon’s resurrection. Somchai wishes to marry Chorasinee and become rich (มหาศาล). Somchai is somebody dishonest as he killed a dealer before to steal his drugs and to keep the agreed money. Somchai is found dead at Chedi Saam Ong. Strange events occur as Thip's painting, formerly showing a beautiful Chorasinee, is now showing an ugly evil spirit (นางปีศาจ). Akanee asks Chet to go to Ayutthaya as he wishes an archeologist team to dig at a specific place as he believes there is a dead body there lying since centuries. A skeleton with a spade is found. It is the Prince’s skeleton. Chorasinee invites Akanee to follow her. Thip and Chet follow up. They arrive in a mysterious place and a judgement is occurring per Chorasinee's request. She complains that despite their love, Akanee killed her and gave her a never ending task to look after the treasure. Thip, loving Akanee, agrees to take over but Akanee refuses. Finally the spirit guardian asks Chorasinee to choose somebody to replace her, i.e. Akanee or Thip. She finally accepts to continue doing such role as she cannot choose Akanee as she loves him, she cannot choose Thip as she would lose Akanee's love. Her spirit is then released. Akanee becomes a monk for the rest of his life. They should meet again in another life.

Saendee (Aranya Namwong), young lady, is an university student. Yot (Sombat Methanee), young man, is doing small jobs such as taxi driver in Bangkok to support his mother. Saendee doesn't know that Yot is poor as he is hiding his status by wearing nice suits and renting cars. Saendee gets her diploma. Saendee needs to decide if she continues her studies or start to work. She goes back to Isan to see her father in Nakhon Phanom (เรียนสำเร็จ). Saendee is coming from a local ethnic group called “Phu Tai” (คนภูไท). Her father cannot work since one year so Yot was the one paying for her studies. The father doesn't like Yot as he is not coming from the same ethnic group. There is Bun Bang Fai festival (ประเพณีบุญบั้งไฟ) in Nakhon Phanom. Yot and Saendee become lovers (เป็นของพี่แล้ว) despite the father’s disapproval. Saendee is now 6 months pregnant. Yot helps two men involved in a fight. So he is recruited to drive lorries and send goods by them. Unfortunately his new boss is a ruffian. Yot is forced to speed in order to escape police cars. Following a gun fight, the ruffians are shot. Yot is captured by the police and sent to prison. Saendee is not aware. She delivers beautiful twin, two girls, but has to cope alone. She is chased from her home as she cannot pay the rent anymore. Poor Sao Phu Tai (สาวภูไท)... She has to abandon (ฝาก) her children in front of Pa’s house. She goes to Bangkok to look for her old university friend, Kamnotchan. Kamnotchan is now a successful business woman as the company boss (ผู้จัดการ) Sarawut likes her a lot. But once Saendee comes to work, the boss changes his focus to her instead of Kamnotchan. Kamnotchan is upset by this situation. A crisis happens and she accuses Saendee of trying to steal the love from the company boss. This is of course wrong as Saendee misses Yot and her children. Saendee leaves Kamnotchan's house. Krot (Metta Roongrat) is a strong female director of a circus. Performers are not good so she needs to find new ones (เด็กฝึกใหม่). The circus teacher thinks to hire the twin girls he recently saw. Pa has no more money to feed all the children she is taking care of. The teacher gives her 10 000 baht to buy and train the two twin girls. The circus director hits them to accelerate their training. So fed up, one of the twin flees. Yot is released from prison. He is looking for his family but to no avail. The little girl is rescued by a rich family. Finally Sarawut finds back Saendee and she accepts to fiance with him. Yot finds a job in the same circus. The circus goes to Bangkok hoping for a better business. The two sisters recognize each other during a performance. The circus director asks for 5 000 baht to give back the child. Sarawut, who loves Saendee, helps her to get back her children. Believing in a children kidnapping Yot follows Sarawut's car. The family is finally reunited happily. It is a good feeling movie even if many unlikelihoods are happening. It highlights the strong and sacrosanct Thai mother. The movie features Isan music in the background. This VCD is a copy of an IBC6 TV program recording but the quality is acceptable.

Thai movie อ้อมอกเจ้าพระยา was released in year 1972 and lasts 2h07mn. It was released under DVD format by company Happy Time Marketing. It features a sharp and colorful image. Saonai is coming from a rich family (ผู้ดี) and living in Hong Kong. Khun Wang (played by Hong Kong number one actor Jin Fong - จินฟง) is her chaperon. It is really nice to see again Hong Kong almost forty years ago with Love Rock scenery, views from the Peak, old cars, absence of high buildings, boat people settlements. Saonai wishes to experience life with poor people so she settles in Mongkok with boat people (ชาวเรือสลัม) community. She pays an old lady to play her mother. Kla is a Thai captain, whose cargo is berthing in Hong Kong a few days. Saonai hits his small pinnace and he falls into the water. Love starts between Saonai and Kla. Khun Wang continues to look for Saonai following her father's orders. Ruffians hit Kla and bring back Saonai to her father. The father wants a good husband (มีนามมีฐานะ) for his daughter and not a sailor. Kla knows the truth about Saonai thanks to the old lady. Saonai is a modern lady believing in love and heart choice. Her father wishes to marry her to Khun Wang (พ่อใจร้ายไม่เห็นใจ). But Khun Wang promises to help Saonai to find Kla. Kla is back to Thailand disappointed by Saonai’s lies. In Thailand a young lady, called Porn, loves Kla but Kla indulges in alcohol as he cannot forget Saonai. Saonai arrives in Thailand and looks for captain Kla at the Bangkok port. Kla already resigned from his job. Saonai looks for him in Bang Kapi district. Thanks to an old colleague, Kla is aware that Saonai is looking for him. But they miss each other. Saonai wishes to kill herself. She is helped by Porn. Kla's younger brother, Keng, meets Saonai at Porn's house. She is renamed as Araya. Keng loves her at first sight and promises himself to achieve his goal to build a family. So love feelings are mixed through a few people (Saonai, Kla, Porn, Keng). Saonai fails to meet Kla at Keng's home but understands he is the one she was looking for. Keng is aware of Saonai's love towards Kla. Disappointed by this news, he has a car accident and is almost blind. Anyway he told Kla the good news about Saonai. Meanwhile love emerges between Khun Wang and Porn. Following some last minute misunderstandings (อกหัก), Saonai and Kla are reunited. Three couples have now happiness as Keng falls in love with Khun Wang’s younger sister. This old 1973 movie still features beautiful colorful picture and songs. Aranya Namwong is shining. This movie features an homage to the Chao Phraya river, an homage to the Thai King and the Thai Queen during their birthday celebrations with colorful lightings in Bangkok, an homage to the good Chinese Thai relations.

Some snakes transform themselves into young ladies and help Booloi to deliver a baby girl called Haofa. 18 years have passed. Haofa (Aranya Namwong) is now a grown up adult. Haofa still misses her parents. The snake queen selects her as the next queen. This decision makes Haodam (Metta Roongrat) upset. There are fights between ladies during Haofa's crowning. The snake kingdom only includes young ladies and an old sorceress (แม่มด). No men in the cave. In Bangkok, a young man called Tira wishes to ask for young lady Mareudi’s hand. Some ruffians, specialized in human trade overseas (รับแขก), keep asking Mareudi to join them for a trip to Japan. She always refuses. Tira’s boss called Phanom (Chaiya Suriyun) is playing the matchmaker (เฒ่าแก่) for Pira. Phanom and Pira go to Mae Sai for scientific studies. The ruffians are also going in Mae Sai area to recruit young girls. Ruffians hear about a place near a waterfall with many beautiful girls swimming. So they are hanging around as beautiful girls have been seen bathing. The girls are then attacked by the ruffians but Phanom, being around, is helping and protecting Haofa. They are snakes but Haofa is an human being. A romance is starting between Phanom and Haofa but he cannot go in the cave as it is guarded by snakes. Haodam discloses the incident to the snake queen. According to the snake Queen’s rules, nobody is allowed to meet human beings. Chom is accompanying Phanom and is still longing for his lost wife and baby. There is a funny interlude when veteran comic actor, Sithao Petcharoen, is tortured by a fat amazon. Phanom is captured when entering the cave. The Snake Queen condemns him to death but Haofa helps him to flee. Meanwhile snake hunters are back again to attack the hill around the cave. The ruffians are using experts (Lor Tok! Sukon Koewliam!) able to catch snakes (หมองู). Comic sequences happen as they are all useless to charm snakes. The ruffians finally capture the snake girls and the Queen is even shot. The end of the snake kingdom is a disaster. Phanom promises to take care of Haofa and helps to find her father. Haofa wishes to release her other snake sisters. The ruffians try to abuse the snake girls and use them as prostitutes but they transform themselves into venomous snakes. Police finally catches all the ruffians but it is too late as all snakes have been killed. Snakes are really killed and cut in this movie. Only one snake girl, Haodong, survives and she goes back to the snake cave. Haofa is finally reunited with her father. This movie can also be found under Chinese name "蛇國女王'' in China and distributed by Great China Film Co (H.K.). Different character names are used in the Chinese version (Ng Chung for Phanom, Ho Hua for Haofa, Hsiao Hua for Haodam, Chung Shan for Chom, Mei lee for Booloi). The original Thai version of แม่งู lasts 2 hours 50 minutes. The Chinese version has been reduced to 1h30mn only. “Once upon the west” soundtrack is used in the Chinese version. All songs have cut in the Chinese version. Similar to many 1960-1970s Thai movies, it features a long running time and a dozen of songs.

They meet Luechai Natnat, who almost runs over them with his car. A fighting oppose villagers and ruffians led by Luechai. A one to one fight happens between Et and a ruffian. Et wins. While inspecting trees trunks in the forest, Et helps Lek (Aranya Namwong), whose horse gets carried away. Romance happens and they become lovers. Lek is the daughter of Kamnan (เชาว์) and Luechai’s sister. So Lek doesn’t want this love story to be public. Luechai wishes to kill Et. While Et is going to work by motorbike, he is chased by a car driven by Luechai and his ruffians. They shoot him and Et’s motorbike ends up in a pond. The remaining sequence ends here. It was the period where Kanchit Kwanpracha was one the new main actors pushed by the Thai movie industry in order to replace Mitr Chaibancha, who died accidentally in year 1970.

The introduction sequence even shows old theater โรงหนังเฉลิมวัฒนา. Korakot is back to his village through a bus from Udon Thani. He gets robbed by two ruffians (นักเลงเจ้าถิ่น) including Yuan (Choomporn Theppitak). They steal a jewellery belonging to his mother. Krit (Chat Mongkolchai) rescues him. Some relief characters are played by Songthong and Sisala Thongtara (ศรีสละ ทองธารา). Krit's sister is played by “bad girl” Donnapha Sophee. Knowing his friend's problems, krit chases after the ruffians. Two are killed but Yuan succeeds to flee. Korakot is not able to hold a weapon or fight back (ใจต้องสู้). Khun Phiset is upset with Krit as two of his men were killed. Korakot shall go to Khun Phiset's home to get back his jewellery. On the way, he meets Plienjai, Khun Phiset's daughter (Aranya Namwong), expert in shooting with Daojai (Darunee Cheunsakul). Yuan claims he doesn't have it. Plienjai likes Korakot. Daojai and Krit (สุภาพบุรุษนักสู้) love each other. Yuan loves Plienjai also but it is not reciprocal so he tries to force her. Khun Phiset chases him away. Korakot gets a training from Krit (คนสู้คน). Yuan forges an alliance with another ruffian leader called Seua Sing (Paen Pleumsachai) to get revenge and plans to kidnap Plienjai. As they get pushed back by Krit and Korakot, Seua Sing prepares more men to join. Enticed to get back his mother's jewellery, Korakot is tortured by Sing and Yuan by being attached to a cross and forced to walk under harsh sun. Meanwhile Songthong is killed through an embuscade. Krit helps Korakot before a full dehydration. Korakot’s mother is played by Marasri Bangchang. A double wedding happens, i.e. Korakot with Plienjai and Krit with Daojai. Yuan, Sing and their ruffians bring troubles to the party by kidnapping the ladies including Krit's sister. Korakot and Krit chase after the ruffians. Seua Sing rapes Krit’s sister. As a bait, Korakot defies Yuan and defeats him while Krit releases the ladies. Through a final shooting, Seua Sing is shot by Krit's sister but she also dies. Newly-wed couples can now find happiness with the ruffians being neutralised.

When he wakes up, he meets for first time a young woman called Ailada (Aranya Namwong), riding a bicycle and going to help him. Surprised, he leaves rashly by taxi (คนบ้า). Kampee leaves his home as Pinjo’s father forces him to go to Sukhothai province. Rampoei wants Kampee to marry Walli, younger sister of Vivat. Kampee meets Ailada again in Phitsanulok train station and they argue again. Kampee shall be the head of forest guards in district Huay Krai. Kampee is welcomed by Plang (Prachuap Ruekyamdee), his assistant. Ailada is Plang‘s daughter! Kamnan Preuang (Sawin Sawangrat) is doing illegal business in the forest by cutting trees. Plaew, son of Kamnan Preuang, loves Ailada since they are kids. Plang and Kampee have a plan to stop those illegal activities. Having learnt this, Ailada informs Preuang. So Kampee's plan fails. Aware that Ailada is the one who disclosed the plan, Kampee has arguments with her but Ailada finally understands and recognises her mistake. Love starts to emerge. Walli is coming to visit Kampee. To get rid of Walli, Kampee claims he is already engaged with Ailada so she has mischievous behavior with Kampee! Kamnan Preuang and Plaew get agreement with Pinjo to use Rewadee to ease Kampee. Pinjo wishes to kill Kampee as he cannot stand to have Rewadee close to Kampee. It is discovered that Plaew is the real son of Plang and not Preuang. Plaew and Ailanda are then brother and sister! Plaew and Ailanda are looking for Kampee knowing he is endangered by Pinjo’s plans to kill him. A thunderstorm happens. Kampee and Ailanda take refuge in a cave. A snake is threatening them. Plaew and Rewadee take refuge in a cave also. Pinjo misunderstands Plaew’s intention to help Rewadee. He finally falls in the river and dies. Back from the forest, learning that Kampee and Ailanda plan to marry, Rewadee still tries to get back Kampee and simulates to have spent the night with him. It causes Ailanda’s ire, who then flees away. Rewadee apologizes but it is too late. Ailanda is gone and Kampee is back to Bangkok. Kampee indulges in alcohol and finally accept his sister’s proposal to marry Walli. Rewadee is pregnant with Plaew. As Ailanda is back to district Huay Krai, Plaew decides to stop Kampee’s wedding with Walli to ensure Kampee can marry Ailanda! Plaew lies that Kampee made a young lady pregnant in district Huay Krai so he needs to assume. Finally Kampee and Ailanda are reunited.

A mother talks to her son Virathep (วีระเทพ) (Mitr Chaibancha). She tries to convince him to marry a young woman called Soraya (โสรยา) (Wassana Chalakorn) coming from a rich family also. Virathep is reluctant and flees from the house. Virathep is a former art student graduated in painting. Having a sip in a bar with a friend, Virathep helps a man (Chat Mongkolchai) beaten by a few ruffians as he was protecting a mother and his daughter. Virathep is welcomed in the mother's house. Virathep's mother is upset that he left the house. Around the forest near the house some tree nymphs (น้างไม้) wearing traditional Thai dresses and living in trees. While painting, Virathep hears Aranya (จำปาทอง) singing so he asks to do her portrait. Virathep’s mother is still pushing him to marry. The original film is mute as it is in 16mm format but some songs can still be heard a bit as those parts were recorded in 35mm format. Virathep goes back to Bangkok and misses Aranya. They pray and go back to the past during Ayuthaya period. They loved each other but Virathep was killed during a fight with Burmese soldiers. Learning Virathep's death, Aranya died on the spot and her spirit (วิญญาณ) became a tree nymph. Will their love be successful this time? The mother and the girl fiancee to Virathep meet Aranya. Issues happens between them. The fiancee follows Aranya up to the forest but Aranya chases her away by making her clothes fly away. The fiancee realizes she is a ghost. As usual there are second comic relief roles in Mitr Chaibancha's 1960 movies. The mother and fiancee hire an expert (อาจารย์) to chase Aranya away. They put some magic cloth (ยันต์) on her tree to prevent her to enter it again. Aranya becomes invisible and plays tricks to the mother and fiancee. Afraid, the mother orders to cut all trees near Aranya's refuge. Meanwhile Virathep gets from another magic expert a potion. A fight erupts as Virathep tries to prevent ruffians to cut trees. Invisible tree nymphs help him as ruffians are numerous. After pouring the sacred water on Aranya, she becomes visible again. Aranya is now a human being also. First the mother rejects this union as she has a promise to fulfill with the fiancee's mother. But finally their love will win. The movie is 1h32mn left only as the last movie reel is missing. When Mitr Chaibancha came back from Hong Kong on 05 Oct 1970, a few sequences (when wearing old Ayuthaya soldier clothes) for this movie were filmed on the 06 October. Mitr Chaibancha died during an accident on 07 Oct during movie Insee Thong shooting.

This movie reminds of famous movie “Mon Rak Luk Thung” (มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง - 1970) as it features many songs and various couples involving romance and jealousy. Following movie “Mon Rak Luk Thung” success, many romantic song movies (หนังเพลง) were released in the following months and years trying to surf on a similar popular wave.

They try to release the village leader but without success. One of Sombat’s friends loses his girlfriend, being raped and killed by ruffians. Kaenjai Meenakanit is the real leader of the ruffians. She likes Sombat. Sombat has to be very careful as Chanee knows who he is. One of Sombat’s friend disguises himself into a weird Chinese master. Aranya and her girls are captured while trying to meet Sombat. Krai changes side. Final heavy fightings happen. Krai and Chanee shot each other. Chadaporn, who holds a timer bomb, throws herself on Kaenjai as she understands she has been dumped by Chanee and Kaenjai.

Thai movie โทน / Tone is the first movie done by Piak Poster. It was released under VCD format by company XxX (Triple X). It features many Thai modern 1970s songs from ‘The Impossible’ group (วงดิอิมพอสซิเบิ้ล), some classical and traditional Thai songs, and even some American songs including ‘Scarborough Fair’ in Thai. The main characters are living in a provincial village, i.e. Pon (Chaiya Suriyun), Sang Thong (Songthong) and Nong Kulap (Jaruwan Panyopas). Sang is Pon's best friend following up everywhere. Pon loves Nong Kulap sincerely but Kulap sees him as a close friend only. She also needs to go to Bangkok to continue her studies, so they will be separated (ห่างกัน). Pon didn't do high studies and is living in a Buddhist temple with Luang Ta as a monk's attendant (ลูกศิษย์วัด). He was an orphan (เด็กกำพร้า). Ot (Sayan Chantaraviboon) is a Bangkokian young man visiting some relatives in the village. While having a drink, some ruffians (นักเลง) led by Amnat provoke him and a fight erupts. Pon is involved as he was just passing by and finally, he is helping Ot to get rid of the ruffians. The abbot wishes Pon to continue his studies in Bangkok. Ot proposes to help and Pon is now relocated in Bangkok. He meets Rut, Ot’s elder brother (Ruj Ronnapop) and Daeng (Aranya Namwong), Ot's modern young sister. Daeng hates (เกลียด) Pon immediately. It seems Kulap has forgotten Pon. Sang is having quarrels with ruffians, who shot him. Ot meets Kulap randomly in Bangkok. Ot loves Kulap but Pon is not aware that Kulap is now in Bangkok. Daeng's boyfriend Long (Sahat Piempongsan) is a ruffian trying to take advantage of her. Hopefully Pon sees the stratagem and helps her. He gets injured. Daeng starts to see Pon's kindness and now loves secretly Pon. It is Ot's birthday (วันเกิด). Kulap (แฟน) comes to his birthday. It is the first Thai movie showing the 1970 youth with modern Thai and English music, dances and mini dresses. Daeng understands that Pon still loves Kulap and suffers. After a discussion between Pon and Ot, Ot accepts it (ทำใจ) and takes care about Daeng. Love story starts. Long is still cross with Daeng and Pon. He kidnaps Daeng and Kulap. Pon, trying to help, is also captured. Ot is chasing them. Long wishes to sell the two ladies to his friend Amnat. They will work as forced prostitutes. Daeng and Pon fail to escape and Long rapes Daeng. Thanks to Ot, Long is neutralized and is shot by Daeng. Pon shots Amnat so avenging his friend Sang Thong. It is time to forget the bad past and look forward to the bright future. Piak Poster began as a painter of movie posters. He painted ‘Tone’ movie poster. Tone was Piak Poster’s first movie as director. The movie features seven songs. Songthong became famous thanks to the songs he performed in ‘Tone’ movie. It was the first movie in which the leading actress is raped. Thanks to the modern songs, ‘Tone’ movie reaped 6M Baht. It was the second biggest success in year 1970 after ‘Mon Rak Luuk Thung’ with Mitr / Petchara. It was also one of the first movie to use 35mm film instead of 16mm. ‘Tone’ movie was adapted two times for TV as a lakorn, i.e. in 1992 with Santisuk Promsiri and more recently in 2000s decade with Vinai Kraibutr and Metinee Kingpayome. Tone was the first movie in Thailand to break the monopoly of Mitr-Petchara movies. This movie is part of the first 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2011, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day. The swimming suit worn by Aranya Namwong became a hit also as it shown the belly. All young ladies in year 1970 bought it. A promotional movie, lasting 17 minutes, shot in black and white, in 16mm format, can be seen online and is showing behind the screen sequences. The movie shooting was done over two years as Piak Poster liked perfection, details and used a lot of film. The film was developed in Japan and 11 copies travelled all over Thailand. It was two times more than usual.

Prachuap has a leg injury and is visited by twin ladies (real singers อารยา ปาริชาติ ฉายาลักษณ์). Finally the parents let Jub Jaeng go with Sombat. Khomapat and her mum are upset about the gifts bought by Sombat to Jub Jaeng. Sombat tries to end the dispute with Khomapat but it ends up badly. While walking on the beach, he gets stabbed by ruffians. Khomapat gets also aggressed by ruffians on the beach. Khomapat tries to hit Jub Jaeng again but she fights back and finally decides to quit this crazy house. Prachuap and Sombat finally understand Khomapat’s bad games. Sombat rushes after Jub Jaeng and they finally reconcile.

A remake called "มายาพิศวาส" was done in year 1983 with Jarunee Sooksawad. Aranya Namwong plays two roles, i.e. mother Ubon and her daughter Dokbua. The father is sick (กรรม) and invalid. Dokbua wishes to revenge her family. Dokbua simulates a car accident to get attention of Chala (Sombat Methanee). She claims coming from poor province (คนบ้านนอก) and was attracted by a false job offer in Bangkok. Chala and his brother Chet (Sawin Sawangrat) are part of a rich family. Both love Dokbua at first sight. Dokbua is hired as domestic helper in the house. Chet's father, khun Chun, is paralysed. Paen (Chadaporn Wachirapranee) is khun Chun’s wife but also Chet's mistress! Chet wishes Dokbua to become his secretary. Chala spends a lot of money and is often described as lost soul (เสียชาติ) as he always borrows money from his father and his brother. Chet tries to abuse Dokbua but she refuses. The father also tries to abuse her but it fails. Chatchai (Kanchit Kwanpracha) has interest in her despite he has already a fiancee called Chaleng (สุมาลี ทองหล่อ), Chala’s sister. He doesn't love his fiancee as the engagement was set up by parents and not based on real love. Another domestic helper warns Dokbua about rich people being insincere (ไม่จริงใจ). Chatchai's father, Tawat (Siripong Isarangkul), has interest into Dokbua also. Paen is trying to sell Dokbua to him. Chet tries his luck with Dokbua at night time (ต้องการเธอ) but it fails again. Chala is aware Dokbua has a hidden plan but he cannot identify it. Tawat still wants Dokbua as wife. Dokbua accepts so causing Chala's ire and treating her as นางบำเรอ. Tawat has six wives already. Dokbua accepts in order to become a countess (คุณหญิง). Chala still wonders the hidden plan of Dokbua. The father khun Chun’s names Dokbua as head of the company (ล้างบาปก่อนที่จะตาย). After his death, Dokbua is given the whole heritage as he knew she is the daughter of his former enemy. Khun Chun is responsible of Dokbua’s father paralysis. Other family members are shocked. Chala is shocked by Dokbua's cynicism and forces her to kiss him. Chatchai, seeing the scene, threatens to tell the truth to his father, if she refuses to become his mistress. Thatchai does not have interest in Chaleng anymore as she is now poor so she keeps indulging in alcohol. Chet tries to seduce Dokbua (หลงเสน่ห์) again causing Paen to be upset. He wishes to marry with Dokbua as she is beautiful and rich. He rejects Paen so she shots Chet with a gun and is arrested by the Police. She has become crazy. Dokbua didn’t think her revenge will go that far… She gives back the whole heritage to Chala. Love finally emerges between both.

Ruj (Ruj Ronnapop) is playing a crazy disabled man (เล่นตุ๊กตา) always scold by the governess. Khun Phujing (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) is disabled. Her mother needs also to take medicine. Charika is responsible to take care of them as a nurse. Khun Lek (Aranya Namwong) is Khun Phujing’s younger sister. During a storm, Charika has a vision, i.e. she sees a hirsute man entering in her room. The following day, Charika meets Turatee (Chaiya Suriyun) and believes the hirsute man and he are the same person (Chaiya Suriyun plays both roles). At nighttime, the hirsute man enters in the grandmother’s room to steal a map. The hirsute man is recognized as Khun Phuchai, who died many years ago. The island superintendent Durong (Surasit Satayawong) and his mistress, the governess, are worried as it could be the map leading to the pirates’ treasure of Plao island. The next day, crazy Ruj harass again Chosri and Charika. The governess scolds and beats again but it turns badly as Ruj cuts the governess head! During this messy situation, Charika loses conscience and disappears carried by the hirsute man. Durong is hoping to find a secret pirates' treasure (สมบัติ). He has also a relationship with Khun Phujing. Willing to know what is really happening on Plao island, Chaiya and Lek try to reach the island by boat. The superintendent, a few tough men, Chosri and Khun Phujing follow them by boat also. Both boats capsize but they can all avoid the sharks. Stranded on Plao island, the superintendent is trying to locate the treasure and to catch Turatee, Lek’s fiance, and Lek. Durong believes Turatee has the treasure map. An old man Tao is helping Turatee about to be killed. Charika wakes up in a cave with the hirsute man. The hirsute man is Khun Phuying’s younger brother, who is still alive. He mentions that Durong killed all nurses. He knows about the pirates' gold hidden in the cave. italian actor. Durong tries to abuse Khun Lek but is injured by Khun Phujing. Durong then shoots and kills Khun Phujing. Tao leads Durong and his men to the treasure. Finally, Durong and his ruffians die as they are more obsessed by collecting gold than running for their life as the cave is collapsing. Lek, khun Phuchai, Charika and Turatee succeed to escape on time. Romance can happen between Lek and Turatee, between Charika and Khun Phuchai.

Jaomanat has two sons Phayoton (Sombat Methanee) and Pontet (Prachuap Ruekyamdee), playing a gay character (กะเทย). Atibadi (Chana Sriubon) has two daughters Romadee (Aranya Namwong) and Deuan Rung (Sopha Sataporn). Atibadi’s wife (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit), called Nimnuan, is dead already but her soul (วิญญาณ) has possessed Jaomanat. Three house spirits (ศาลพระภูมิเจ้าที่) are also involved. Two of them are played by Sukon Koewliam and Sithao Petcharoen. Krai Kanchit, a hairdresser, gets warned by Phayoton not to disturb Jaomanat anymore. Fighting in slum(สลัม) happens between Phayoton and Krai. Krai is defeated. Sawin Sawangrat comes later with more men to beat Phayoton but the three house spirits help him. สุมาลี ทองหล่อ, mother of Khomapat Attaya, wishes to grab Atibadi. Finally Atibadi takes Sumalee as his new wife. During the wedding party, Khomapat comes with Ruj Ronnapop but Khomapat has more interest in Phayoton. Sompong Phonmitr is playing a หมอทำเสน่ห์. Sumalee and Sawin visit the magician at the same time but they get teased again by the spirits. Krai comes at that time and meets Sumalee. They become lovers. Sumalee and Atibadi spend their honeymoon in Pattaya. Deuan Rung likes Phayoton but this one manages to have his brother Pontet taking care of her so that he can be with Romadee. Meanwhile Krai has seduced also Khomapat so causing Sumalee's ire. She sends Pan Borapet and Sawin to teach (สังสอน) Krai but they kill him. Upset, she also kills Pan Borapet and Sawin. Sumalee is feeling sad (น้อยใจ). Op Boonthit identifies that Nimnuan’s sould (วิญญาณ) is inside Jaomanat. A proper ceremony needs to be done. Sumalee wishes to interrupt it. Monks need to be brought. While the soul is about to exit, Sumalee prevents the holy water to be poured. She is struck by a lighting and dies. Ruj is ravaged. Finally Jaomanat can fully recover.

He finds that those responsible of the murder want to build a runway for planes to bring weapons illegally inside Thailand. Love emerges between Jainum and Sarinee. Owner of ranch Virawilai tries to kidnap Sarinee to force her to transfer her land. While trying to help, Jainum is also captured but hopefully Thai police is coming behind. Ruffians flee in the mountain but Jainum follows them up in order to release Sarinee. The remaining left sequence is certainly happening in the middle of the film. Various scenes can be seen. Choomporn Theppitak is talking on a bed to a lady. Choomporn is a singer in a high end club. Sithao Petcharoen, Sukon Koewliam and two other men try to enter at nighttime in a women's dormitory. They are discovered, beaten and chased away by Prim Praphaporn. Aranya Namwong is meeting Adinan Singhiran in the countryside. He is giving her a letter. She is missing Sombat Methanee. Pleung (Luechai Natnat) arrives in the city and ends up in Sithao's bar. A new ruffian Fai (มือดี)(เพชร พิษณุ) arrives in Saen's team. Kan declares his love to Achan. Ruj Ronnapop (ขายยา) warns Kan about the new hitman. Kan bewares of Fai and Pleung despite Ruj confirms Fai is finally on their side. Fai is Pleung’s younger brother. Fighting happens between Kan, Ruj, Pleung and Saen's men in Sithao's bar. Police has to intervene. Saen wishes to hire Pleung. While simulating being a movie dubber, Ruj finds weapons hidden in wooden crates. He meets Kalog (Sasithorn Phetrung). Kan sends a grenade to destroy the weapons stock as Saen plans to hurt Thailand. Police inspector Krai comes to arrest Saen but another teammate pretends the weapons belong to him. Achan warns Kalog, younger sister of Kan, about Saen's activities. Kalog succumbs to Ruj. Robbery of a house is failing, and a few ruffians are killed. Saen suspects Kalog is the one disclosing his activities schedule to Kan. Her mother tries to intervene but she is killed. Achan discloses that she is the one warning Kan. Saen and his men storm Sithao's bar. Kan is knocked out. As Saen cannot shoot a man sleeping, he closes his eyes before firing. Dokmai interposes and she is the one being shot. Upset, Saen defies Kan and his friends as he kidnapped the three ladies. Saen, Fai and Ruj go to release them but they have to surrender. It is disclosed that Kan is new chief district and both Fai and Rj being undercover policemen. Caretaker Sukon Koewliam is ordered to prepare three coffins. Kan and his friends have to prepare their own graves (ฝังตัวเอง). Sithao helps to release the ladies and gives them guns. Sukon bring back coffins containing policemen. Shooting happens between policemen and ruffians. Saen finally causes his stock of dynamite to explode as his cigar falls on it. Pleung character played by Luechai Natnat disappears after a while during the movie. It is said it was killed. Maybe there was a conflict between Luechai Natnat and the producer / director so the character Pleung has to be removed.

Sing Sao Seua or สิงห์สาวเสือ is a Thai movie released in year 1970. There are seven songs in the movie. Only 4 minutes is left. Patama (Aranya Namwong) is the owner of Wang Phan market. Aranya is using Seuahan to do the internal police in the market as many thugs are around. Sombat and Seuahan become friends. The ruffian leader responsible of his father’s death is Sia Bu (เสี่ยบู๊). Sia Bu wants to have Patama as his wife. As she refuses, the ruffians kill the forest guard. Chatchai takes over his duty. Sia Bu asks Chatchai to stop messing around but he refuses. While Chatchai and Patama are singing their love in the garden, one Sia Bu's ruffian shots Chatchai and kidnaps Patama. Hopefully Seuahan rescues Patama. While Chatchai is recovering at the hospital, things get worse with the market being burnt and Patama kidnapped by Sia Bu. Time for Chatchai to revenge his father and rescue his lovely Patama!

In reel 4, Sombat comes to help and rescue his father and Aranya. In a short online sequence, Aranya hits Sombat with her car. Finally, she accepts to take him in her car as he claims to be hurt. Prachuap Ruekyamdee is doing a massage to Metta Roongrat. Suddenly the car driven by Sombat arrives swiftly in their house property. Ruj Ronnapop seems to enjoy alcohol. Seeing Sombat and Aranya together causes a big ire to Metta. She tries to get back Sombat but to no avail.

Khun Pradeun, a playboy, loves to party. He doesn't work. His father has arguments over coconuts gardens in Ko Samui with another businessman. They bet who could work more successfully, i.e. the son, Khun Pradeun, or the daughter, Khun Tum. Tum is a modern Thai lady wishing to work and with no husband. Her mother wants to find one husband for her but she prefers to go to island Sawat to help her father. If Pradeun wins, Tum must marry him. If he loses, he shall give up his business to her. Similar to many movies at the end of 1960s decade, this movie is rythmed with songs. Pradeun and Tum meet each other on the boat to island Sawat. Pradeun doesn't know the real identity of Tum as he expects somebody called Tum (ตุ่ม - pimple) to be fat, stupid. But he only shows his arrogance and suffisance. Tum and his friends try everything to have Pradeun to go back to Bangkok but to no avail. In the midst of controversy, he falls in love with her. Meanwhile, she begins to be confused because she might be in love with him as well. Pradeun tries dumping tactic to prevent sales but his three thousands coconuts have disappeared. He then needs to sort the coconuts that are mixed on purpose with those of Tum. They decide to use ruffians (นักเลง) to intimidate each other. Despite a few KO, Pradeun is the last one to stand up. Finally he knows the true regarding Tum and slaps her face for her treacherous behavior (in many Thai movies or Thai TV series, violence over women is surprisingly a way for men to show their love). Love is stronger between both of them. He saves her life during a fire in the local school and they finally marry. It is a 2h30 long lovely emotions movie. In 1960s decade, 2 hours length was frequent for many movies. This movie was then successfully updated in 2000s decade as a Thai TV serie.

Once abused (เสียแล้ว), he will ask for her hand and subdistrict headman Phet cannot refuse. Ladders to climb palm trees are damaged. Dio and Jamroon suspect the ruffians. One evening, Jamroon, being drunk, have arguments with Plok and his men. He gets severely beaten. Plok’s father is played by Sawin Sawangrat. Tamleung (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is another lady fond of Dio. Annual festival (งานประจำปี) occurs and features a boat race. Plok tries to kidnap Tan (ลูกตาล) but Dio helps her on time. Plok and his father have to apologize to subdistrict headman Phet and his daughter. Subdistrict headman Phet wishes to give money to Dio as a reward but he refuses. Dio and Tan declare love to each other. Kut, also loving Tan, has even a fight with Dio but recognises he was wrong to fight against his friend. Being jealous, Kratin complains to subdistrict headman Phet to break Dio and Tan relationship. Tan gets beaten by her father and is locked in her room. Dio escapes beating thanks to her mother but he loses his job in the orchard. They have to leave. Dio visits Tan in her room and they become lovers. About to leave by boat, Tan also comes and announces she is leaving her father as she loves Dio and is now his wife. Kratin and Kut are heartbroken. Dio and Tan take refuge in a relative home. Plok and his father announce to subdistrict headman Phet that they will help to find where Dio and Tan are hiding. Dio and Tan move to a relative's place, being a village leader called Duang. His wife, Mae Sri, is upset and afraid to have problems with subdistrict headman Phet so Dio, Tan and the mother move to Bangkok. Plok decides to kidnap Kratin in order to know where Dio is hiding. His father wishes to have Kratin becoming his minor wife. The issue turns badly as other ruffians fight with the father over Kratin. The father dies and Kut is able to release his sister. Life is harsh in Bangkok and Dio has to be tricycle and taxi driver. A child is born. After two years, they finally move back to Duang's place. Mae Sri informs subdistrict headman Phet, who kidnaps his own daughter with Plok's help. Dio, upset, goes to subdistrict headman Phet's house bringing his son. Phet refuses to Dio to see his wife and pushes him severely out. Hearing that Plok plans to rob subdistrict headman Phet’s house at night time by claiming being Dio, Dio has to help. One of his friends warns the police. Plok is killed during the fightings. Seeing that Dio is finally a good and brave man, sub district headman Phet agrees to an official wedding of Dio and Tan.

Ruffians capture a man fleeing with a suitcase. Two important letters inside have disappeared from the suitcase when he hit a group of three people while running away. Those people are a father (Surasit Sattayawong), his daughter Fimeuang (Pawana Chanajit) and their friend (Joomjim Khemlek). Those letters are related to their plan to bring troubles from overseas into South of Thailand (คนขายชาติ). Sak (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and inspector (สารวัตร) Cheut (Sombat Methanee) meet the 3 characters in Nakhon Sawan and sympathize. Ruffians try everything to get back those letters but Sak and Cheut support them. Cheut communicates with his Police Headquarters through young lady Nop (Yaowaret Nisakorn also called Petchara 2). Ramet (Kecha Plianvithee), undercover ruffians leader, tries to seduce Dao (Aranya Namwong) but she doesn't like him. Ramet is a good friend of Krit (Ruj Ronnapop), Dao's brother, as he can always borrow money to him for gambling (พนัน). Cheut also appreciates Dao. Fimeuang and her father take refuge in Chiang Mai. Finally Fimeuang understands that Cheut is a right and trusty man, so she gives him the envelopes. Fimeuang loves secretly Cheut and goes back to Surin. Cheut’s heart is divided between Dao, Fimeuang and Nop. Cheut is captured by the ruffians. Finally Sak helps him on time. Ramet is captured but finally later on free again so it looks like a part of the movie is missing. Willing to get back the letters, the ruffians capture Fimeuang and her friend Kamoon. The father shall give back the letters back to Ramet to save his daughter’s life. Policeman Cheut, Sak and Nop help to penetrate the ruffians’ camp. Dao and Chris also realize who is Ramet while visiting the camp and find that Fimeuang is held captured there. During final shootings, Fimeuang is unfortunately shot. Ruffians are defeated. Movie พยัคฆ์เหนือ เสืออิสาน ยมบาลใต้ is a mix of action and comedy. This small movie really features a great bunch of Thai actors and Thai actresses from decade 1960s.

The story is a bit similar to to เจ้าแม่ตะเคียน or แก้วกาหลง. Kaew (แก้ว - Mitr Chaibancha) and Sarika (สาริกา - Wassana Chalakorn) marry as they love each other since a long time. Wit (วิทย์ - ฤทธี นฤบาล), local ruffian, is upset as he also loves Sarika but nothing he can do. On Sarika’s side, her younger sister Ranjuan (รัญจวน - Aranya Namwong) also likes secretly Kaew. After the wedding, Kaew receives a government assignment to be a soldier in Vietnam. Kaew goes fighting in Vietnam with his friend Pai (ไผ่ - วิน วิษณุรักษ์). Sarika is pregnant. One day she heard that through a letter that Kaew had disappeared during fighting in Vietnam. It makes Sarika very worried as she doesn’t know if Kaew is still alive or not. To change her mind, she goes wandering around the waterfall. Wit and Pikun (พิกุล - อุไรวรรณ จันทร์ทิพย์), a young lady loving Kaew, put in place a plan to get rid of Sarika. While Sarika is walking near the waterfall, an acolyte working for Wit pushes her. She falls and dies. Everybody thinks it is a suicide as Sarika was depressed after learning sad news about Kaew. While the funeral ceremony is happening, Kaew and Pai are coming back from Vietnam. Kaew meets a friend coming back from the ceremony. The friend is about to say that Sarika has died but her ghost appears, and the friend doesn’t dare to say anything to Kaew. Sarika behaves as if she was still alive. She brings Kaew to her parents’ house and pretends there is a relative’s funeral ceremony. Everybody is surprised as they thought Kaew died in Vietnam. Nobody dares to tell the truth to Kaew. Kaew goes back home and sleeps. Sarika and his baby are there. In the morning Kaew doesn’t see Sarika and his baby so he visits Ranjuan, who disclosed the truth to Kaew. The remaining film is ending there. The remaining part of the story can be found in old Thai cinema magazines. When Pikun knows that Kaew is back, she asks a shaman to make a love philter to seduce Kaew. She plans to kill him and to get his heritage. Ranjuan helps Kae. Gradually love merges between Kaew and Rajuan. It makes Sarika to be very upset (ออกอาละวาด) as she is afraid to lose Kaew. Villagers use a shaman to calm down Sarika but the sham has pity for Sarika. The shaman asks Kaew and Rajuan to talk to Sarika so that she can understand. Sarika finally understands and requests that a spirit house be built near the waterfall where she died so that there is proof of her love towards Kaew.

Thai movie เจ้าหญิง was released in year 1969. The whole film is still complete, around 2h30mn, but it was never released in any video format such as VHS, VCD or DVD. The movie is stored at the Thai Film Archives and can be seen there. It is a 16mm movie so no sound is available as such movies were dubbed. This movie is a Thai western and a lot of action, i.e. shootings and boxing fightings, is happening. A short summary is also still available. Busaba is played by actress Aranya Namwong. Busaba's father, played by Adul Dulyarat, has arguments with Luang Soradet (Sahat Piempongsan). Her father dies so Busaba has to be responsible of the paternal ranch. Luang Soradet wishes to extend his own ranch but Busaba refuses to sell. Heun (Sombat Methanee) gets a job in Busaba's ranch but gets trouble with Luang Soradet's ruffians. Kaenjai Meenakanit is on Luang Soradet's side and tries to convince Heun to stay aside. Heun, bathing in waterfalls, helps Kaenchai, whose ankle is twisted. She asks for a massage as a way to entice Heun, who finally throws her in the pond! Heun does protect Busaba as she gets issues with ruffians (house burnt, kidnapping). Heun and his friends push back ruffians attacking a village. Kaenchai shots one ruffian leaders but gets shot also. Heun releases Busaba, who has been captured by ruffians. All friends are arrested by the police. As usual, it is disclosed at the end of the movie that Heun is in fact undercover policeman officer when all ruffians has been neutralized. Busaba is upset but finally forgives Heun. The movie producer was famous director Tae Prakardwutthisan. The movie was given by Tae Prakardwutthisan to Thai Film Archives but it was never released commercially. The movie features 4 songs recorded in 35mm format. Comics are strongly present with veteran actors Sompong Phonmitr, Kokheng, Sukon Koewliam and Joomjim Khemlek.

They are living in a bandit village (ชุมเสือ). One of them, called Sing (สิงห์), is having a child with Prim Praphaporn. Their son is played by Sombat Methanee. Years have passed, he is now an adult. Following some fighting, Sombat becomes the new leader and gets a crown shaped like a tiger head (มงกุฎหัวเสือ). Sombat summons a spirit doctor (หมอผี) to cure Sasitorn Phetrung (ศศิธร เพชรรุ่ง), who is blind. Some ingredients are missing. In the city, a sequence shows Chana Sriubon, Chatchadaporn Laksanawed (ชัชฎาพร), Sawin Sawangrat and Sor Asanajinda talking together. Sombat and the spirit doctor enter in Pa Sor’s house to get some of the missing ingredients. Sombat meets Chadaporn and then Aranya. Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit is the mother of the two daughters, i.e. Chadaporn and Aranya. Sombat is injured by the bandit he defeated before to become the village leader. Chana Sriubon neutralises the bandit so that Sombat can run away. Luechai Natnat is then also injured in Pa Sor's house and flees. He is chased by ruffians but gets help from Sombat. Sombat comes back again to the house to have discussion with Pa Sor and ends up kidnapping Aranya and Sasitorn. Sawin and his ruffians chase them. Chana Sriubon tries to prevent them but gets neutralised. Sombat seems very unhappy over Aranya. Aranya saves Sombat's life while he is attacked again by the rogue bandit. Sawin captures Pa Sor and Chana Sriubon. Aranya asks Sombat to help Pa Sor captured by Sawin. Wilaiwan releases Chana. Luechai gets rid of Sawin. Final duel happens between Sombat and Pa Sor until they realise they are relatives (father / son?).

Thai movie อีแตน was released in year 1968. The movie lasts 3 hours. This movie has a very colorful image and a DVD was released by Thai film Archives in year 2014. Five songs are featured. Kalong (Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit) is married to a chief district officer. Her father is Sawin Sawangrat. She is pregnant. While chasing traffickers, the chief district officer is injured and finally dies. Before dying, he asks his mum to send Kalong to Bangkok in order to have his child raised by his father. The baby has a scar around the ear. The father has a new wife (กันฑรีย์ นาคประภา), who is upset about losing heritage, and she prepares a plan with her lover Nipon (Man Teeraphol) to get rid of Kalong and her child. Mien (Malee Wetpraseri) hears their plan, takes the baby and flees. Shocked, Kalong has a brain attack. Tam, Mien’s husband, names the baby E- tan. E-tan (Aranya Namwong) is now a grown beautiful young lady. E-tan meets Rungroj (Mitr Chaibancha) being a lawyer responsible to expel people from a slum to build a new building. E-tan, Tam (Sompol Kongsuwan) and Mien have to leave. Mien goes back to her hometown to work and to send money. Being sick, she is cheated and no money reaches E-tan and Tam. So E-tan decides to quit school in order to work. She tries to find a job as domestic helper in a rich house. But she gets issues with the owner accusing her to have stolen her necklace. She is a fighting with the daughter called Supatra. E-tan meets Phaka (Chadaporn Wachirapranee). She is a mamasan but E-tan is not aware. Tam is the old boyfriend of the mamasan Phaka so he sells E-tan for 5000 baht. Thuam Thoranong, as a customer, is severely beaten with E-Tan. Mien is back and threatens to kill Tam if E-tan is not back within seven days. As the grandfather is getting old and sick but refusing to transfer his heritage to his younger new wife, Nipon has the idea to find a 19 years old girl to pretend being the lost granddaughter. He hires E-tan from Pakha without knowing that E-tan is the real granddaughter! She is recognised by the grandfather thanks to the scar. Rungroj is engaged with Supatra (Yaowaret Nisakorn) but he doesn't love her. He thinks about the young lady beggar but doesn't realise that she is the same lady as the new granddaughter. Supatra is jealous as Rungroj spends a lot of time with E-tan as the grandfather asks him to be a teacher for her. Aware that Nipon and the mother plan to kill them once heritage has been transferred to her, E-Tan prepares a plan with her friends from the slum. A social event is organized to present E-Tan to Thai society as the official lost daughter. Nipon prepares poison for the grandfather. Mien is wishing to announce the bad plans of the new wife and Nipon but she is is killed before by Nipon. Upset by Mien’s death, E-Tan shots him with a gun without knowing that he is already dead having drunk the poison by mistake. E-Tan is accused of murder by the new wife and is sent to jail. Rungroj is the lawyer for E-tan. Tam, recognizing that E-Tan has always been good with him, relates the real story to the judge and E-Tan is spared from prison. She then can marry with Rungroj.

Thai movie แสนพยศ was released in year 1968 and features key actors Mitr Chaibancha and Aranya Namwong. Other actors / actresses include Daonoi Duangjai, Prachuap Ruekyamdee, Naowarat Watchara, Preeya Roongrueng, Lor Tok, Sukon Koewliam, Sompong Phonmitr and หม่อมชั้น (famous Thai actress from royal lineage and often playing low roles such as domestic helpers…). It was shot at same time as movie Iten – อีแตน (35mm format and year 1968). The movie was lost in Thailand but finally a partial reel was found in year 2013 thanks to a teacher and collector of old items in Songkhla area. A 5mn30s sequence is still available. It is in fact the first movie (16mm format) played by Aranya Namwong after she became Miss Thailand. A group of ladies including Naowarat Watchara are talking together and seem to prepare a plan. Not sure if it is targeted against Aranya? In another sequence Aranya is locked. A mamasan wants to force Aranya to go with a rich customer but she gets slapped. Even ruffians fail to coerce her. Last sequence is showing Mitr and Aranya talking together under a tree. Aranya Namwong played in movie ลมหนาว but only in a short sequence where she sang a song. Later on, she played again with Mitr in อีแตน which is often mistaken as Aranya’s first movie. In Fact Iten (อีแตน) is her movie in 35mm format and แสนพยศ is her first movie in 16mm format! The two movies were probably shot at the same time. The movie poster announces that Mitr meets miss Thailand! A TV serie (ละคร) was done in year 2000.

Main actor is Sombat Methanee and there are two main actresses, i.e. Aranya Namwong and Suthisa Putnuch. Prim Praphaporn is flirting with a man. Kan (กานต์) (Sombat Methanee) and Sai Mai (สายไหม) (Aranya Namwong) are discussing together during a party. The next day, they are going to Buddhist temple (ทำบุญ) together and maybe to have a common promise. Romance is happening between them. Kan is leaving Chiang Mai by train. Primpaporn is in the same train. They have a flirt. Back to Chiang Mai, Kan is punched by the man flirting with Primpaporn. Finally Kan is reunited with Aranya through a classic scene under the rain. They take refuge in a hut due to the strong storm. They have a daughter called Sai Nam Pheung (สายน้ำผึ้ง) (Suthisa Putnuch). Prim announces to Aranya that Kan is hers. Aranya is unhappy about this news and tells it clearly to Kan. Kan blames Prim. Prim delivers a son and tries to get suicide as she cannot get Kan's love. Twenty years later, their children meet in Chiang Mai. Will they be able to have a love story after their parents' failure twenty years ago? Sombat Methanee is also playing the role of Suriyon (สุริยน) (child) and has a love story with Sai Nam Pheung. Suriyon meets Sai Nam Pheung and a romance starts during Songkran festival. Suriyon is captured by ruffians led by Choomporn Theppitak and Sawin Sawangrat. Then two Sombat Methanee can be seen on the screen, i.e. Kan and Suriyon. A fight with ruffians leader is happening in order to release Suriyon lynching on a tree by the feet. The movie features seven songs. A remake was done in year 1981 with Sorapong Chatree.

Lom Nao - ลมหนาว (1966) is a lost movie. Only the poster and the movie song are left. Luckily there are still 13 minutes 'behind the scene' sequences in black and white to be seen. Movie director is Phan Kam. It is a movie in which many famous Thai actors and actresses played, i.e. Mitr Chaibancha, Petchara Chaowarat, Aranya Namwong, Sor Asanajinda, Taksin Jampol, Adul Dulyarat, Dokdin Kanyaman, Lor Tok, Preeya Roongrueng, Kingdao Daranee. It was Aranya Namwong’s first movie. She was just awarded during a recent Miss Thailand beauty contest. An orchestra was used for the movie theme sung by Aranya Namwong. 16mm movies used a single camera for the shooting. Various sequences can be seen, i.e. Charin and Lor Tok helping Mitr Chaibancha and Taksin Jampol engaged in a fight with ruffians. Another sequence is involving Petchara Chaowarat wearing a beautiful dress and featuring the movie theme song. It is the dress that can be seen on the movie poster. A sequence of Charin and Aranya Namwong can be seen. Those sequences were recorded in 35mm format so that the original song was together with the movie reel. Other sequences are recorded in 16mm format so requesting a live dubbing. Other sequences feature Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat together on a small boat. A funny sequence with Dokdin Kanyaman singing can also be seen. Worth to notice that in real life Mitr Chaibancha and Kingdao Daranee were married. Petchara Chaowarat and Charin Nantanakorn married later in year 1975.
